161  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin really secure on: February 14, 2018, 06:00:44 AM
I think bitcoin is secure because of its feature wherein it is untraceable, that why some are asking if it might be put into crimes and asking bitcoin for payment. That's just one of its downside. But in my opinion it is safe ans secure for as long as you keep your private keys with you at all times.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins You Think will Grow on: February 13, 2018, 07:53:45 AM
I think there are a lot of altcoins that might grow in 2018 and some of them are old coins that have been here for a couple of years like Siacoin for instance. And it also depends if these coins have upcoming projects for this year too, that's why we should follow the coins we are trading and see what are their coming projects and future developments to know where they stand.
163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: was trading beneficial for you? on: February 13, 2018, 06:49:55 AM
When I started trading a year ago, I was not really aiming to become rich but I was aiming to be financially independent through trading digital currencies. And so far it did make me independent, although there were times when the market was low and it was hard for me to see my portfolio that I might not be able to control my emotions, but I just adjusted myself and control them by not opening my portfolio. And it made me a better trader too, I have learned not to buy coins when it is pumping and just set a target price instead.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Message to all people who panic when crypto price goes down! on: February 13, 2018, 05:47:02 AM
I think mostly the ones who panic are the newbies or those who just have joined or discovered the crytoworld and bought bitcoin when it was pumping, got scared and panicked they might lose their money thus creating a nuisance about bitcoin not recovering, but not all newbies are like this though. Because some do read news and dig in to do research and educate themselves especially those who are interested in trading.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is ETH a Scam ? on: February 12, 2018, 01:16:47 PM
Not everything you read on social medias are facts. With regarding to the Ethereum coin, I don't know where you got the information of it being a scam. And before you invest in a certain coin, you are suppose to do a research on the history of that coin you want to invest in. And based on my research and understanding, I don't think it is a scam although its movement is slow compared to Bitcoin. And it is not Ethereums fault if there are some Ethereum based coins that scam people.
166  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Satoshi is dead,If not where is he now on: February 12, 2018, 09:39:07 AM
I don't think Satoshi Nakamoto can do anything with the price fluctuations of bitcoin whether he is dead or alive. Or not unless he has a lot of coins hodled and are one of the whales and of course control the market. But I highly doubt he is doing that, if ever he is still alive. And if he is alive, he must be under another name because a lot people will be following him or so.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Rewards: Sell immediately or HODL? on: February 12, 2018, 06:36:17 AM
Most people I know doing bounties mostly sell their tokens because they are afraid the coin might lose its value and would go to waste, while some including myself would prefer holding them not because we expecting it to reach a higher value in the future but we consider it as a form of savings. I don't think out of all these tokens you receive in bounties would be worth nothing, so we prefer to just hold them instead.
168  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you wondering what's happening with bitcoin? on: February 10, 2018, 08:38:09 AM
Could've said better myself and this is what I mostly tell newbies or people who just jumped in to the world of crypto and most especially through trading. The first rule I would tell them is to do thorough research first on the coins you want to invest in because that is how you know a coin will be successful or not. And bitcoins price has been constantly fluctuating ever since so it is not a fuss for some when it dipped down.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin low on: February 09, 2018, 02:19:00 PM
It is possible that bitcoin could reach that low because no one can really tell how much it could go down to or when it could go high. Although we can speculate the prices based on the prices on the chart and analyze them, still its price is unpredictable and only these whales can control them for sure. I am expecting the next time it will drop its price it'll be the bitcoin halving.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I bought on all time high on: February 09, 2018, 10:12:41 AM
Why did you buy the coin when it was on its all time high? Anyways it is either you will hold your coin for long term so in the long run it will reach back to the price you bought it in or if you still have the budget or money for trading, you can buy the same coin everytime you feel like it is dropping its price so in that way you are diversifying or dividing the value you bought it in and you would have lesser coins on loss.
171  Economy / Economics / Re: How can you manage potential losses during a crash on: February 08, 2018, 04:54:50 PM
I think there is a huge potential in this kind of strategy but not a lot of people can follow this trail because a lot could happen in just a couple of days. But I think this is really a great way too to cover up your losses. And most people would always want the easier way, I'd be a hypocrite not to admit that because I was like that before and the reason why I changed to long term investments instead.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I was bought some bitcoin by sell my land on: February 08, 2018, 03:43:07 PM
I barely understood what you were saying OP but to my understanding you are probably experiencing some panic when bitcoins price dropped so low but if you could check them now, it is currently slowly increasing back but let's not get our hopes that high yet. We can't predict the price on the market so what you need to do is just hold on to your bitcoins until it'll be back to the price you are eyeing for.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoint down on: February 06, 2018, 11:35:50 AM
Altcoins are down because there are a lot of negative feedbacks about Bitcoin and when Bitcoin dropped hard, the Altcoins went down with it as well. But I'm sure once Bitcoins price is stable or at least increasing back, these altcoins will recover back as well.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is bitcoin over? on: February 06, 2018, 09:42:00 AM
Just because bitcoin is dumping hard doesn't mean it is over already. If you had done your research and compare the price of bitcoin every first month of the year, there is somewhat a pattern and it usually dips down around that time. The only difference is that last year or the previous years, bitcoin has not reach $19k so basically it is just a repeated pattern. Just hold on to your bitcoins and stay chill; it'll increase back again for sure.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHAT COIN IS WORTH HOLDING FOR ATLEAST A YEAR FROM NOW? on: February 05, 2018, 02:53:57 PM
I have been holding for a few coins and it has been almost a year now that I kept these coins, to name a few these are Ethereum, Siacoin, Digibyte, NEM, Litecoin which was from myfaucet claiming days and Waves.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin loses its popularity ? on: February 05, 2018, 01:15:09 PM
I don't even think bitcoin lost its popularity, in fact bitcoin has even gained more popularity than the previous years. Even if there are a lot of coins which we think might be possible to grow even more than bitcoin, it still has to prove its worth and they can't do that overnight.
177  Economy / Economics / Re: The lack of financial education on: February 05, 2018, 11:53:05 AM
I think aside from the school it would be the parents responsibility to educate their children at home too or at least some basic knowledge regarding economics and finance so they won't be having problems once they got out of the real world. The government can't do anything about it and although not all people can learn it from school or basically college because not everyone can go to college as well.
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we survive without Bitcoin? on: February 04, 2018, 03:07:46 PM
I don't think there is an alternative for bitcoin yet but I think we can survive bitcoin knowing there are other cryptocurrenices standing by their own as we speak. Creating a name and leaving a mark, but it has to be tested yet if it will survive for how many years just like bitcoin. But I am sure, we can survive without bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies its just that, people have to adjust again their lifestyle but still manageable and tolerable.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is the moment I have been waiting for. on: February 03, 2018, 05:15:04 PM
Prices had just gone up and I hope you had bought enough coins when the prices drop because as what the OP had said, this is the moment the newbies and some had been waiting for. It is the most perfect timing for buying coins enough for trading and of course hoard some and wait after for its increase.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The future of Ethereum (ETH) on: February 02, 2018, 04:47:28 PM
If you really have invested in Ethereum the time you posted this thread then you'd know by now if Ethereum is worth investing for long term. I also invested in Ethereum and although it is not that much because I still have to save for my trading; I can really tell it is worth holding.
