I made the mistake of buying two of their DIY "kits" which I'd call spare parts kits. I thought it would be sans PSU and not assembled, but, there's no case. The blades were not tested before shipping and you have to swap them all around because some run in some I/O Board slots and not others. The only good thing is that I get to use a good quality Corsair AX1200 PSU instead of the junky under powered PSU they provide. Also, you only get 2 fans instead. It's a total ripoff since they leave out about $250 in parts and only discount it about $100 and you're left with a breadboard miner that you cannot stack. I'll never buy anything they call a "kit" again ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif)

I tried moving my Red BitFurys to a different PC and they were not recognized by MuM 3.2.2 (BFGMiner 4.2.0). I uninstalled the WinUSB driver and installed something called BF1.inf and now they show up on Win7 Device Manager under Ports, COM99 through COM103. MuM only lists 3 of them but shows no hashing and their lights are not blinking. Anyone know how to get these lil' rascals runnin' ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif)

Do NOT buy the so-called AntMiner S2 Kit. It's just a bunch of spare parts. There's no case or any way to secure the motherboard or cards. It comes with 2 fans instead of 5. If you bump into sitting on a table top you'll knock the controller board loose and erase your setting back to defaults.

Do you have your DNS stuff set correctly? Had this problem when moving my S1's from my home to my office. Home was 192.168.2.1 and work is .254, or you can use google 8.8.8.8.
Yes, I have lots of them and it was working until earlier today, so I think something has gone wrong If a reflash doesn't cure it, it might be a broken controller. Can you configure another interface and bring it up? ie: wifi/lan? Did you take the cover off and reseat all 11 boards ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) The AntMiner S2 boards are floppy loose with nothing holding them in place.

In Coins Configuration I created Vertcoin with two different pools (both alive). Then I selected vertminer for Scrypt-N mining and placed the vertminer-0.5.2 folder (renamed to vertminer) in the folder appdata/local/multiminer/miners. But when starting mining vertcoin, MultiMiner always choses BFGminer as miner. Then I did the same thing with SGminer. But again, MultiMiner uses BFGminer.
What should I do to force MultiMiner to mine Scrypt-N with SGminer?
You don't need to download and place any miners anywhere. MultiMiner does that for you. Add a Coin configuration for Vertcoin. Make sure that it is set to Scrypt-N. Choose Vertcoin for your devices (using right-click) and click Start to start mining. If MultiMiner is using BFGMiner, then it sounds like you didn't specify Scrypt-N as the algorithm when adding Vertcoin. You could try removing and re-adding the Coin configuration. Or use CoinWarz instead of CoinChoose, since CoinWarz already has Vertcoin with the correct algorithm. I did it the same way icy lettuce did it and it works great for me. He may have forgotten to Save and Restart at the right points and defaulted to sgminer. I had a VertMiner.conf but Mum 3.01 said that was a no-no and renamed it. I just converted to a command line format and defined my pools in Add Coin. It switches and mines great. Woolls yer awesome ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

BitMain now allows transferring AntMiner S1 and S2 coupons to other customers for their use. I have 15 S1 0.05 BTC coupons and 30 S2 $400 coupons available. I'll sell the 0.05 BTC S1 coupons for 0.02 BTC each or five for 0.075 BTC or all 15 for 0.15 BTC. I'll sell the $400 S2 coupons for 0.2 BTC each or five for 0.9 BTC or all 30 for 4.5 BTC. PM me. https://www.dropbox.com/s/abcuattnzmfboxg/BitMain_coupons.gif

I can tell you exactly to the penny how much my CoinTerra TerraMiner IV will earn in the next 6 months, 12 months and 24 months. Zero. It died in less than 2 weeks. If you can sell this piece of garbage to someone while it's still running do so as fast as you can.
Did you overclock it? Never overclocked, never SSHed. I just used their pool screen to enter my pools. I plugged the "Plug Me in First" cord into one dedicated 15-amp outlet and the "Plug Me in Second" into another dedictaed 15-amp outlet within seconds. Any suggestions on how to get this boat anchor to mine ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif)

CPU & GPU mining: Does anyone know how to tell if MYR is the most profitable coin to mine using CPU or GPU ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) If any coin is ever able to be GPU mined as well, it's 99% of the time going to be more profitable to GPU mine. Sorry, I don't mean CPU versus GPU, I know GPU wins every time. I mean CPU MYR vs other coins, and, GPU MYR vs other coins. The claim on the MYR info page is that the difficulty is adjusted individually for each algorithm to equlaize mining method. So, why not mine MYR by ASIC SHA, CPU Qubit and GPU skein, for example.

I'm not sure if this is a TerraMiner problem or a cgminer problem, but I'm sure Cointerra would be likely to blame cgminer if they can, so I thought I'd start with a wider audience. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I have a TerraMiner IV which underperforms as promised delivering about 1.6 TH/s. _If_ I'm running the included cgminer (4.1.0) in failover mode. So, to one pool, it works fine. However, if I define multiple pools, and use load-balance (after fixing the syntax error CoinTerra's web interface puts in the cgminer.conf file), then I'm seeing only about 1.2 TH/s reported. If I look at the cgminer log file, it often shows more like 1.3-1.4 TH/s average, but it too shows over 1.6 TH/s when running in failover mode. Is this a normal thing for cgminer, for the [reported] H/s to be lower when running in load-balance mode? Thanks... Give it a few days and it won't run at all.

I heard that cointerra are scammers but never used them thought , and probably will never use, feel sorry for those who got scammed.
I don't understand why people think CoinTerra is scammer. There are one of very few legit company in bitcoin market. agreed, cointerra is not a scam! their systems are powering 15% of the mining network right now from thousands of miners they've supplied to customers (like me) over the last few months. cointerra may well be the third or fourth largest producer of bitcoin mining equipment in the world (after bitfury, kncminer and antminer). this is definitely not a scam company! the scam companies sell pre-orders and have little intention of shipping, or instead make people wait many months before delivery. i've received a lot of miners from them as well as other companies. some of my cointerra miners have been running more than 60-90 days. why do the people who say its a scam or who are trying to call for 'burn victims' only seem too have one post...? -- Jez CoinTerra makes a very unreliable low-quality product that is extremely overpriced. Their warranty is a joke. My TerraMiner IV did not even last 2 weeks before dying.

The CoinTerra TerraMiner IV is just garbage and a complete ripoff. CoinTerra's warranty is not standard it's a sham. Avoid this company. You'd be better off giving your money to charity that flush it down the CoinTerra toilet. Besides, none of their products will ever return their purchase price.
