101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do they managed ? on: January 20, 2024, 08:11:56 PM
They overprice the products. You try buy a computer with BTC lately? You get old garbage at 25-300% extra price. The infinite shelf-life products nice. Trezor wallet and vpn's excepted.
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Denying yourself comfortability in other to buy Bitcoin on: January 20, 2024, 08:05:45 PM
This. I don't want to do like the ERE (Early Retirement Extreme) people, who live a shitty life, skimping as much as possible, even on basic things like food and other things that can affect their health, so that in a hypothetical future they can retire. The best years to enjoy are when you are young. If you spend too much time saving, you might die and not have enjoyed anything, or when you are old enough to retire you are in poor physical condition. That's why I think there needs to be a balance between saving (and investing) for the future and enjoying the present.

Some of us live that way just to be still round. Of all the time in the world. Isn't that a miracle?
103  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Sportbet.one uses bogus card counting excuse to confiscate $13,705 from me on: January 20, 2024, 08:02:07 PM
Sports bets is scam. Bitzler is also  scam. Thieves. Nasty ones. All of them run tricks like special requirements out of nowhere to get you hooked of without your money. No prolonged playtime, geosniffing and geoblocking. Nationalism. KYC. Wager requirements, harassments from moderators. Et Cetera.
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what sort of btc transaction results in a visible price move on btc ? on: January 20, 2024, 07:48:59 PM
I am really confused about this question, If you send someone x amount of btc then the other person is also receiving x amount of btc hence it doesn't make any difference in the market. What could make a difference if you sell your btc in exchange of any other crypto then surely yeah i suppose you could cause a dent in the universe.

Leverage trading can lead to exchange panic and price fluctuations.
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what sort of btc transaction results in a visible price move on btc ? on: January 20, 2024, 07:46:48 PM

So since everyone wants their transactions confirmed quickly people being to use larger fees for the block space their transaction occupies , making it to take almost forever for transactions with low fees to be confirmed.

In context.

Your BTC will be returned if the fee you have paid is to low to get your transaction in a block. It takes a long time but that will eventually happen.

Talking from experience.

Please check this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5478320.msg63373409#msg63373409

You refused to verify your identity by simply changing the TikTok comment? You are asking for money in advance before you verify your identity? You are a scammer.

Well, on that note after reading your nonsensical excuse to not verify your real identity, it is clear you are not whom you claim to be and you are simply tainting the name of someone you have a grudge against. You went through all this charade just for the sake of taking every opportunity in every post you made, just to ensure you posted his name thus tried to associate him with the utter nonsense you continue to post.

I have added you to my ignore list and have also left appropriate negative trust for impersonating someone from the Department of Mathematics & Statistics from a University.

Are you going to add a video to the profile here: https://www.tiktok.com/@jvanname

Are you going to change the TikTok profile from: "Ph.D. in Math. All algorithms are my own." to "The people on this site promote violence against me"

As mentioned before, the smart money is on you coming up with a multitude of pathetic excuses why will be unable modify the text of your own TikTok account but we are all ears. Well?

My services are not free. Please pay me at https://github.com/sponsors/jvanname if you want me to prove myself to you. And then please pay me at https://github.com/sponsors/jvanname for the damages that you have caused by your defamation and annoyances.

-Joseph Van Name Ph.D.

================================================

This "jvanname" account pretends to be the real Joseph Van Name Ph.D. from the University of Florida. He is asking for money before he is willing to verify his identity.

Please ban this account either for soliciting for money under the guise of hijacking the name of a reputable member of society (the real Joseph Van Name Ph.D. from the University of Florida) or for flooding the Reputation board with utter nonsense that should not be allowed to remain.

We are after all hoping to have a forum free from spam.

I would ban you for being a snitch from the little i read.

111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Gold, land which better? on: January 16, 2024, 05:49:24 PM
I don't know which country you live in and what the prices are there but in general with this small amount you cannot buy a lot of gold or land so it would be better if you could convince your parents to invest in Bitcoin instead.

Buying a small amount of $200-300 per month is not a large amount, but it will give you some good profits in the long run. You may get 3-4 times that when Bitcoin rises to a new peak.

It is difficult to convince parents of this new technology, but you have to make your effort and try.

As he said above he lives in Blangladesh.

I had People from Holland defending Muslims. Just tell them to piss off!
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Gold, land which better? on: January 16, 2024, 05:43:00 PM

113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The difference between bitcoin and cryptocurrency. on: October 13, 2023, 10:04:04 AM
After reading the title of this topic, I actually hope there will be an explanation about the differences between Bitcoin and crypto.  Grin

But apparently this is only about Bitcoin and Altcoins. I think even a beginner in his early stages of learning will know that there are other digital currencies besides Bitcoin called Altcoins. And there are altcoins that have coins nested in their respective networks called Tokens.

But beginners sometimes can't differentiate between tokens and coins (L1, L2 and so on). Because some time ago I still often misunderstood the difference between tokens and coins. Because I'm still a beginner at this.

I don't remember exactly which thread I saw it in but it was on this forum.  there are many people who say that only bitcoin is cryptocurrency and altcoin is not cryptocurrency, some even say that "crypto" is not "cryptocurrency", both words are different.   I'm actually quite funny and confused about how they view bitcoin and altcoins.

For me, the cryptocurrency market has only 2 types, bitcoin is one and the other are altcoins, whether token or coin, they are altcoins and have the same risks, they cannot be safer than bitcoin.

You can have your bitcoin wrapped on several networks..

117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Bitcoin ETFs taming Bitcoin? on: October 13, 2023, 09:07:15 AM
Well, this was a line provided by Edward Snowden. Yeah, the famous whistle blower Edward. He believes that the more applications are being filed, there are risks involved. Although the money being poured into the asset will help it's price to go higher, but these institutions could get more power and influence over the regular person when it comes to decisions and actions taken as regards Bitcoin.
Edward also noted that as ETF applications are getting popular especially as big firms are the ones lobbying for a spot, there's the tendency of it "taming Bitcoin".
Is this true or he's just talking out of a hunch?

https://cryptopotato.com/edward-snowden-believes-bitcoin-etfs-are-taming-btc-bitcoin-amsterdam-live/

The man is right; institutional involvement in Bitcoin, especially through ETFs, raises power dynamics questions. Big institutions, with their enormous finances and influence, may potentially dominate Bitcoin. This influence may lead to decisions that dont benefit the typical person. This is possible but not guaranteed. Bitcoin emphasizes decentralization and individual power.

However, ETFs generate a lot of money, which can enhance Bitcoin's price. What if such price increase compromises Bitcoin's essence? Worth the trade-off? Should we risk Bitcoin becoming “tamed” as Edward suggests? We should always question, analyze, and navigate these waters with open eyes and ears, not whether hes right or wrong.

Snowden is over the edge. You better find a real hero.
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Bitcoin ETFs taming Bitcoin? on: October 13, 2023, 08:57:09 AM
What if the council bought ETF and made heavy inflation to pump their investment?

You missed my angle on the subject..

My angle is I can buy it in the bank then. Regulated and tax-reported.

"Immutable" is about to be broken.
120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can everyone in the world have bitcoin. on: August 20, 2023, 04:45:55 PM
I know that the reason why we need to tell people about bitcoin is to spread the awareness of bitcoin,so that more people will adopt bitcoin so that it can be recognised and use by everyone just the way fiat is used. This will make bitcoin value to increase due to its volatile nature and the price is been controlled by demand and supply. Bitcoin is limited in number as we all know that we only have 21million bitcoin.

I have been wondering as a newbie with little knowledge on bitcoin that how is it possible for everyone in the world to own some fraction of bitcoin with the limited number just like the way everyone is using fiat.  Is it that these 21million bitcoin will be enought to serve the world with a total population of 8.1 billion because I know that we have whales who will buy a huge amount of bitcoin and just store it in their wallet without using it,just the way the rich men and politicians keep so much funds in their account or at home without spending it. I also notice that one country can't print the currency that the whole world is using but various countries printed their own currency. Another thing that I noticed so many investors prefer to holdli their bitcoin which might make it not sufficient for everyone.

My question is that is it possible for everyone to have bitcoin with the number of limited supply of bitcoin ?

You see what power hungry bastards runs the scene and you know you get played.
