There are people that created a thread also about hitbtc scam accusation. You can join the discussion there.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2556342.0

There are too many scam accusations against hitbtc and I feel sorry about whoever is kaok-koak. He was banned from using hitbtc.  Cry

yes i am kaok-koak and i will because my life ruin by that reason! no one cares. my family or anybody don't trust me anyone because i am as a liar for all.
I know it's hard when your money was stuck in an exchange even you do all the verification and still not getting an ETA. However, does suicide going to solve the problem? Absolutely not.

Since you are having a conversation with their support, there's still hope that you could get your money back. Tbh, other users aren't receiving any reply.
1002  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can I avoid making this trading mistake? It's giving me a headache on: March 13, 2018, 10:03:34 PM
You should always have a second option (plan B) if ever the result came out not according to your original plan. Eth is a good coin to hold and the price fluctuates often, you will not lose if you won't sell it at a lower price than your purchase price (that's a good plan B).

If you really want a swing trade, in your example that would be fine as long as you're in profit at the end. I do swing trades before and experienced that. If you bought high and sell low, good move is to buy lower then sell higher, you will still in profit that way. Just choose a good with active market coin.

By searching, I saw that AMLT token is on Lykke, however, there is a low volume. DEB on the other hand just got listed on KuCoin today. I suggest you to follow their ANN threads and/or social media accounts to be more updated about the coin or listings.

Hope it helps!

1004  Economy / Exchanges / Binance Hacker Bounty : Offers $250,000 USD equivalent bounty on: March 12, 2018, 01:53:42 AM
I haven't seen a thread regarding this so I thought of sharing. Binance Exchange posted yesterday about them offering a $250,000 USD equivalent as a Hacker Bounty because of the attempted hacking incident last Mar 7.

https://medium.com/binanceexchange/binance-hacker-bounty-58845d860afd
PS. Check their twitter account @binance_2017 for translated versions of the blog

Quote
Binance Hacker Bounty
To ensure a safe crypto community, we can’t simply play defense. We need to actively prevent any instances of hacking before they occur, as well as follow through after-the-fact. Even though the hacking attempt against Binance on March 7th was not successful, it was clear it was a large-scale, organized effort. This needs to be addressed.

Binance is offering a $250,000 USD equivalent bounty to anyone who supplies information that leads to the legal arrest of the hackers involved in the attempted hacking incident on Binance on March 7th, 2018.

The first person to supply substantial information and evidence that leads to the legal arrest of the hackers, in any jurisdiction, will receive the equivalent of $250,000 USD in BNB. The exchange rate will be determined at time of transfer.
Please supply detailed information to bounty@binance.com as well as to your local law enforcement agencies.
If your local laws allow, you may remain anonymous.
If multiple sources/segments of data are used to lead to the final legal arrests, the bounty may be split between sources. Binance reserves all rights to split the bounty amount, solely at our discretion.
Furthermore, Binance has currently allocated the equivalent of $10,000,000 USD in crypto reserves for future bounty awards against any illegal hacking attempts on Binance. We have also invited other exchanges and crypto businesses to join our initiative. We welcome their participation at any time.

Protecting your funds is and has always been our highest priority!

We thank you for your support!

This is a really good move by Binance, isn't it? They don't just stop because the hack was unsuccessful, instead take further action so that the hackers will be arrested and punished. Though there's no assurance that they will get any information, taking initiative is a way better than doing nothing. Another impressive move by the Exchange imo. What do you think?

PS. I'm not sure if it's the right board to post this, please inform me if it's not suitable here. Thank you!
1005  Economy / Speculation / Re: Literally everyone FUDding Bitcoin just wants to get cheaper on: March 12, 2018, 12:53:54 AM
A trader tactic. Traders/buyers who wants to accumulate coins at a cheaper price (even not Bitcoin) will start the FUD or support the current FUD. Aren't they doing the same when they want the price to increase?

IMO it becomes natural, we can't control it, but we have a choice if we will be affected or just ignore it.
1006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: does binance having technical issues since the hack?login problems?sms authi? on: March 11, 2018, 11:56:01 PM
No problems at all, the site is working fine. Their overall operation we're not affected of the recent incident, only those accounts involved. Good thing that they halted all the withdrawals after detecting those suspicious activity in the accounts so the hackers weren't successful in their plan.
1007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves Wallet Question on: March 11, 2018, 11:20:05 PM
Yes the seed contains 15 English words.
It is easy to create new account in waves just like in electrum. If you are using waves lite client,  just open your lite client, (log out your old account if currently logged in) click create new account, read the notice carefully, back up your new seed, then assign a name and password.

If you want to transfer all your waves and tokens to your new account, it's possible, but a bit of a hassle since you'll do it manually one by one. In the client, go to Portfolio > choose the token you want to send > click transfer. All you have to do is enter the recipient's address and the amount.
1008  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptopia going to the dogs or am I imagining things ? on: March 11, 2018, 10:27:06 PM
As far as I know they started to resolve the issues in withdrawals. Well, there are still problems that haven't been solved as of the moment, but some stuck withdrawals have been cancelled and once a withdraw request was made again, it will go through smoothly already. If you're not aware yet, you can see some story in their Ann Thread.
1009  Economy / Exchanges / Re: TradeOgre on: March 11, 2018, 09:47:22 PM
I don't have any experience in this site, but I saw it once in coinmarketcap. It is true that there is lack of information, I'm on mobile and I only see Markets and Help. The owners didn't even bother to put some introduction, about the site, FAQ, TOS and worst is that NO SUPPORT information which is really important. I would not be interested in using a site without knowing who to contact with when I encounter a problem.

I doubt that someone in here tried it.
1010  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: what Yobit.net not add my coin Amsterdamcoin ? on: March 11, 2018, 05:59:57 PM
It seems that there is really a problem with AmsterdamCoin deposit from coinexchange to yobit. Based on AmsterdamCoin's twitter post last feb.17, yobit will be re syncing the wallet and allow deposits and withdrawals soon (@Amsterdam_Coin status). However, if you'd check Ams thread starting with this post here, there are several deposit problems that are left unsolved until now.

I suggest you to follow that thread to be updated when other members got their deposit problems solved.
1011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tradesatoshi.com - CryptoCurrency Exchange on: March 11, 2018, 05:00:20 PM
I regularly lose 29 satoshi from my balance. What is happening?
That's weird. Are you losing them without doing anything or when you are doing trades? It would be better to pull out your balance now before you ran out of funds.

"System: Asking for support is not permitted." - xD

Did you ask for support in their trollbox? If yes, I think that's normal. Asking support in trollbox is also prohibited in other exchanges (like cryptopia). The only way they would recommend is to contact/send ticket directly on their support page. Always works like that.
1012  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptoexp.com on: March 11, 2018, 04:02:21 PM
WOW...thanks for the advice guys! youre fast! well, i deposit few Ks just to check them out... as i said for now they looks OK.. ill let you know soon if i got scammed or not lol...
I hope you won't be scammed. I haven't heard about the site before and still no reviews, so I wonder how you find it and why you chose it instead of other exchanges available out there.

I'm not that type of person to risk my money in new exchanges, but I respect those who have the courage to do so. Well, most likely if the person think about it well and do some research, not that you just saw it and try all of a sudden. Anyway, good luck to you.

Several days have passed already after my last post here, but as I've checked again today, there's no active connection until now. Even if you put all the recent nodes shared here, it won't work. I don't know if it will work again

i sold all my coins at 20 sat !!
That's better than nothing, just look on the bright side. Others can't even send it to exchanges
1014  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-10] Twitter Takes Baby Steps to Stop Crypto Scammers on: March 11, 2018, 04:59:36 AM
What's with the link?
I did not open it, but as for the topic, it's always good to hear that they are doing something to protect their users. Plenty of scammers are on twitter, especially on exchanges and ICOs pages.

I saw in other news site that twitter are suspending and banning accounts who make deceptive claims in their posts. That is helpful, however, it can't totally stop the scammers especially because they could easily create another account. If twitter could take action before the post/ads will be seen by the public, that would be great.
1015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Problem with huobi deposit on: March 10, 2018, 11:59:21 PM
Maybe smart contract in general is not supported in Huobi. Try contacting them on twitter : @Huobi_Pro.

A friendly advice, if you will be sending a big amount again in the future,  always do a test transaction with small amount first to prevent this kind of problem.
1016  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Balance gone on tradesatoshi on: March 10, 2018, 05:03:58 PM
I also think that it's a bug. You could wait and check again after some time.

If it really didn't show on your balance, bigger problem here is that, it is hard to reach their support. Tradesatoshi was okay before, but recently several problems popped out and no one knows if any of it is getting solved. Check their Bitcointalk Thread, there are lots of complaints in there.
1017  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-09] Who Actually Makes Profit On Cryptocurrencies on: March 10, 2018, 04:15:32 PM
The fact that exchanges are up for 24 hrs (except when they have a maintenance) and there's no dull time 'cause traders are always present (most likely in exchanges with good volume), it's not surprising. Well, they will probably stop operating if they are not in profit, right?

On the other hand, ofcourse it won't be limited to just exchanges. There are miners, traders, hodlers (this depends on the coin) who are making profits too though may not as big as the exchanges'.
1018  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CEX.IO MasterCard withdrawal pending on: March 09, 2018, 10:52:47 PM
There have been several cases like this before (VISA and Mastercard withdrawal issues). It might be:

1. A problem on CEX itself
2. Your payment/transaction got rejected
3. You exceeded your limits for card withdrawals

Only CEX could help you, so it's either you wait for their reply in your ticket or contact them too through CEX bitcointalk account via PM, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook. For sure once CEX see your thread, he'll probably reply here.
1019  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: MERCATOX - Cryptocurrency and E-currency Exchange. E-wallet. P2P Exchange on: March 09, 2018, 08:25:02 PM
Seeing all those complaints and requests of resetting/disabling their 2FA that have not been addressed until now, I thought of sharing this. Mercatox posted a way to be able to reset/disable your 2FA on their telegram channel earlier (quoted below). Unfortunately, it won't be just as easy as sending an email request.

What to do if your device with 2FA is lost

Dear Users!

We are receiving lots of requests to disable 2FA authorization for different reasons, such as lost phones, uninstalled Google 2FA app etc.

Now we will explain procedure of resetting it.

Such user have to send an e-mail to support@mercatox.com from e-mail he(she) registered account with attached photo of himself with ID (passport, driver lisence etc) in his(her) hands.

We need it for the security reasons. ID have to be readeble. When we get such e-mail - we will change 2FA option for secure mail option. And you will be able to login.

Thanks for staying with us!
1020  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-08] Binance CEO: All Irregular Trades Reversed, Hackers Lost Coins on: March 08, 2018, 09:46:27 PM
I like how Binance's system managed to prevent the hackers from withdrawing coins that quickly. I wonder why on earth there are still noobs who recklessly click un URL's, and then even blatantly proceed with entering their details. I don't even bookmark URL's, because that leads to you being far too comfortable at a later point, and just take for granted that you're visiting the right site. I type everything manually, check the URL to see if there aren't any typos or whatever, and then press enter. And even then, before logging in, I again check if everything looks legit. Call me paranoid, but it helped me throughout the years to avoid any potential dangers, and I will continue following this path.
I'm doing the same, well, that's the safest way I could think of. I even check the URL multiple times letter by letter just to be sure. Exerting an extra effort for me is nothing, if in return my online accounts/funds will be secured.

Tbh I'm impressed with Binance's automatic risk management system, proven that they prioritize security. If only other platforms could do the same ~
On the other hand, security practices should start with the users. Lazy and careless people will always be the target of hackers, start being extra vigilant and don't wait to become a victim then blame the platform after. It's our responsibility in the first place.
