You guys heard about the new Sia integration with Nextcloud ? (corporate focused opensource dropbox alternative).

https://cointelegraph.com/news/sia-integration-with-nextcloud-gives-users-decentralized-backend

About Nextcloud's clients which will now be able to integrate with SIA:

The article is saying update is coming out this friday. So how much do you think price will be this friday? I can see the price now going to the moon but will price decrease before friday?
1003  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Poloniex exchange newbie questions on: April 11, 2017, 08:02:37 PM
If I have 2FA (two factor authentication) and click in email confirmation security options setup on my account and if Poloniex site gets hacked like Mt.Gox then are my bitcoins safe? Where do Poloniex store members bitcoins?

1004  Economy / Lending / Re: From UK, what is the safest way to lend BTC? on: April 11, 2017, 07:57:09 PM
Im thinking of Lending Bitcoins on Poloniex Lending section.

If Poloniex gets hacked or shut down by Govt or any other problem caused by Poloniex liability then only lenders get affected or Every member on Poloniex gets affected losing all bitcoins?

If Poloniex site goes down for few hours or a day or more or it goes down for site maintenance then what happens to the lenders loans on there?
1005  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where to invest my Bitcoins? on: April 11, 2017, 07:46:29 PM
Are gambling casinos/crypto-games have higher % returns than poloniex and also have same risks as poloniex?
1006  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Overall Bot out there? on: April 11, 2017, 11:55:13 AM
Great many thanks for the helpful replies. If i need further help  I come back here.
1007  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where to invest my Bitcoins? on: April 11, 2017, 11:44:49 AM
A post above mentioned gambling casinos and crypto-games. Which gambling casinos/crypto-games websites are popular with members here? Looking for the best ones.
Is gambling casinos/crypto-games safe and what % return do i expect there?

Or is there any websites out there that offer a higher % return than Poloniex but safe like Poloniex? Right now on Poloniex it is like 0.05% return which is low.

1008  Economy / Marketplace / Where to invest my Bitcoins? on: April 10, 2017, 11:55:34 PM
Hi,

Hope I posted in the right board and totally new to this investing bitcoins.

I got under 0.1 bitcoin lending on poloniex but rates are too low for a good return.

Where is the best place to Invest bitcoins with the best returns and lowest risk?

Thanks,
1009  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Overall Bot out there? on: April 10, 2017, 11:32:23 PM
Curious to know on why returns are guaranteed on Gunbot in compared to other bots?

Another newbie question is that do these bots run off their server or run off own computer? If own computer that means computer/Internet cannot be turned off and must be left on at all times? What if the user doesn't have a reliable internet connection that has random disconnections?

1010  Economy / Trading Discussion / Best Overall Bot out there? on: April 10, 2017, 09:14:26 PM
Is there universal bots out there that is compatible with most exchanges or is there only specific bots created for a specific exchange?

Is there any free bots?

Im using poloniex and staring at the screen all day isnt healthy lol. Yes you can make more profits with manual trading but you lose more of your health. A person with bad health with $million profits made is pointless for that person if the bad health leads that person to an early grave or something.

I dont mind getting few % returns. Yes manual trading you can get more but you're sacrificing your health and time for it which are 2 things that is more important than money/profits.

Thanks,

1011  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wont high fiat inflation makes huge transaction fees irrelevant? on: April 08, 2017, 04:25:36 PM
If bitcoin is truly independent then how does one value bitcoin without associating it with fiat money? Like i always hearing people saying today 1 bitcoin is worth under $1200. Isnt 1 bitcoin is worth 1 bitcoin and nothing else if it is independant?
1012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Wont high fiat inflation makes huge transaction fees irrelevant? on: April 07, 2017, 10:44:03 PM
Lets say by 2020 the fee costs $100 for a bitcoin coffee transaction. However lets say fiat inflation rises really high that in 2020 a cup of coffee will cost you $10000 in new york. So wouldn't a $100 bitcoin coffee transaction fee be cheap anyway in 2020?

Also when bitcoin goes to the moon and is worth $million each then wont inflation make that million dollar bitcoin useless as a can of coke might cost 40 million dollars due to hyperinflation.

Can bitcoin truly be independent without any association with fiat money whatsoever?

1013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BU Hard Fork or Segwit Soft Fork newbie questions on: April 07, 2017, 08:05:15 PM
Ok so you are confirming that Rojer Ver & Jihan Wu of Bitcoin Unlimited are not continuing with the hard fork/51% attack in the future?

I was thinking of selling my bitcoin now and buying them cheap again when hard fork happens. You are confirming that I cannot do this because of the above?
1014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BU Hard Fork or Segwit Soft Fork newbie questions on: April 06, 2017, 11:21:04 PM
Whats the latest status now regarding this drama?

Is the BU hard fork or attack is inevitable in 2017/18 or just FUD not really going to happen? If not really going to happen then why is the latest bitcoin price rising?
1015  Economy / Lending / Re: From UK, what is the safest way to lend BTC? on: April 01, 2017, 12:11:05 PM
Looking to lend btc and like to know which way has the most proven track record of borrowers making the repayments? Or is there anything out there that guarantees repayments but at a low interest rate?

Im on Poloniex exchange and see the lending section but can't see borrowers feedback there. Is poloniex good for lending or is there better than it?

I read the stickies here and see the word collateral. As a newbie lender how does this work via escrow? Lets say I want to lend btc to a borrower in USA, the borrower must deliver physical collateral to me first? How does escrow gets updated on this? Regarding physical collateral from USA being shipped to UK wont it takes weeks to wait for delivery and borrower might be put off by a slow loan service?

As a newbie lender I am not understanding and like to know how it works?

Thanks,

I would have suggested BTCJam however they are closed right now. Bitlendingclub also closed.

Bitcointalk is a good place to lend as well, i sometimes borrow small amounts. The interest we pay here is pretty high, usually more than 10% for just a few days loan because of the high risks involved.

Ok on Poloniex, is it safer to lend on Margin Trading or Lending?

It is, because the exchange holds collateral.

So even if they lose money margin trading, you'll get your bitcoins back + interest.

To clarify do you mean its safer to lend on margin trading or just lending on Poloniex?

1017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BU Hard Fork or Segwit Soft Fork newbie questions on: March 31, 2017, 10:28:54 PM
Sounds like a good idea. But you forgot to mention that you will get a free copy of BU coins and if you add them up with the BTC coins it maybe more than half price in total.

So a BU hard fork or an attack will be inevitable after this summer season?

If a hard fork happens first does that mean soft forks are not required and hence are automatically cancelled? A hard fork after summer will automatically win over the segwit soft fork this november? Is it like first come first served?

1018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which of these Altcoins are a Scam? on: March 31, 2017, 12:03:21 PM
What I mean by scam coin is when the purpose of the developers is to make as much money from the investors.

What I mean by shit coin is that it is not a scam but it's shit in terms of it offers nothing technological new or has very limited capabilities. Similarly like for example launching a crap new brand sports car in the sports car market that is already been monopolised by established Porche, Lambo, Ferrari etc.
1019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which of these Altcoins are a Scam? on: March 30, 2017, 11:05:10 PM
None of them.
Not sure about pepecash as I haven't heard of it

Pepecash isn't an altcoin it's a token on counterparty.

I agree, none of them other than pepe.

If OP is thinking about buying then I would say Lisk - it still has alot of room to move but will take time. Maybe another year maybe more, it depends on how quickly they develop it. So far its been slow.

Komodo - its new out of the gate and is in development. Same scenario here as Lisk. Wait...

Aeon - hasn't had a pump yet, monero's little brother.

I heard Lisk uses slow Javascript which is not good. Is this true?

You mean Aeon is little brother to Monero similarly like Litecoin is little brother to Bitcoin?
1020  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why I think Bitcoin will never be Mainstream like Visa,Mastercard, Paypal unless on: March 30, 2017, 05:55:05 PM
For bitcoin to truly be $1million per coin it has to go mainstream like its competitors mentioned above.

To go mainstream bitcoin must tick the following checklist:

- Be accessible and easy to use for everyone. At start even I find it hard to understand it and yet I have a college degree in computing. Understanding all these technical terms like blockchain, forks, mathematical 8 decimal places, signatures, 51% attack, SHA-256, QR codes, AML, KYC, keys, backing up, offline cold storage and many more etc. So the average walmart consumer won't have a chance in hell to understand all this lol. Right now I feel bitcoin is a niche market for computer geeks like a digital online currency for geeks/nerds that understand it.

- Be accepted on Amazon as a valid payment method

- Have a fast network like Visa, Mastercard, Paypal to handle its mainstream status if it reaches mainstream.

- No fees for using it to spend for shopping. Visa, Mastercard and Paypal do not charge buyers to use their service.

- Not have the mainstream media news channels defaming it saying criminals use bitcoins. We must have a true for the people establishment that will replace the current establishment so the true establishment can promote it.

- Anything else I missed out on?

Otherwise bitcoin will be a niche market. Kinda like console gamers market and pc gamers market.
