1021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm now all in BTC. All eggs in one basket! on: May 11, 2021, 01:36:35 AM
As profitable bitcoin may seem to most of us, it's still not good to invest all of your money into it, as it would be best if you could diversify your money to different assets on the market. Bitcoin is still susceptible to losses and huge dips, it would be best if you could invest some of your money in something else, preferably crypto, as long as you don't go balls-deep in bitcoin.
1022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing bitcoin is achievement on: May 11, 2021, 01:29:50 AM
Indeed, bitcoin is a very profitable venture right now that simply knowing it offers you a lot of opportunities to earn and become rich, although of course as everything else in this planet, it requires effort and trade-off. Then again knowing is the most important and most opportune step for you to take. Knowledge is power as they say.
1023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My feelings after 11 years with crypto. on: May 11, 2021, 01:18:49 AM
The thing is, there's no one that is late when investing in the cryptocurrency investment, only ones that got the invitation a bit later than the others. You may not have been able to grab the opportunity that some of us had experienced, but let's be real here, they are but a few because not a lot of people are aware of bitcoin and crypto in the past. You can still get into crypto in some other ways, like investing your money on it directly instead of buying or investing on a miner which is not as profitable as they are in 6 years ago.
1024  Economy / Economics / Re: Enjoy comunism: Venezuela raises monthly minimum wage to $2.40 on: May 11, 2021, 01:10:50 AM
The same thing is happening with most third-world countries and sadly even in America, albeit at a much slower rate than what Venezuela is experiencing right now. Goes to show that poor governance can really mess up a promising country as Venezuela. It may be a laughing matter for some, but for Venezuelans aren't having much fun with their liter of milk and block of cheese.
1025  Economy / Economics / Re: If we have crypto Why people still buy stocks? on: May 11, 2021, 01:03:33 AM
Because stocks are still profitable, absurd for some as it may seem. Stock is also much secure when it comes to hacking and funds loss compared to crypto investment where it's you're on your own most of the times. Plus a lot of boomers are still not bought with bitcoin and cryptocurrency investment's profitability and sees it as a bubble ready to blow up any time, so for them the safest way to invest is still in the stock market.
1026  Economy / Economics / Re: If Something is cheap you Buy it Buy the dips on: May 11, 2021, 12:54:56 AM
Uhh, I don't think that's how it works. USD may have huge upside potential but it's been a few years now and it has still yet to see good gains so far. Besides, hyperinflation is there so even if USD became profitable, it probably won't be for long because it will be hyperinflated provided that the people of America used their dollars the same way they are using it now.
1027  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Agriculture on: May 11, 2021, 12:52:45 AM
I would agree there is a big niche in the agricultural sector where bitcoin hadn't seen much use and purpose yet. I honestly can't think of ways bitcoin can be useful to farmers either besides teaching them the value of investing their money vs. regular old saving it in the bank. I would assume this would change in the future as bitcoin expands it reach across the world where more and more use-case and purpose will be found but for now, unfortunately I believe investing in it is the only help it could give you.
1028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kentucky Derby Winner fails drug test on: May 11, 2021, 12:49:43 AM
There will be an uproar amongst the winners and big losers of these matches, that's for sure. It will be up to the race master's coordination with the bookmakers and the authority if they are to refund the losses and reinstate the wins of these people but I think it is very unfair for the winners since most of them could have already spent their earnings on something else. Just ban the perpetrator and move on I guess.
1029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the martingale system sucks! (doubling down on losses) on: May 11, 2021, 12:45:27 AM
A rookie mistake is thinking that the Martingale strategy is meant to help you win more games, which it really isn't. It's just there to offer you higher recovery chances by always doubling down on your losses next turn. This of course is a user-case basis and if you think you wouldn't be able to afford committing to the Martingale strategy, then you probably really can't. That's just it.
1030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 10 casino sites on: May 11, 2021, 12:41:21 AM
I would suppose this is a subjective list/approach on the topic of which are the best Casino sites, but even then if I were you I'd give my readers a reason why I chose them up in my list, you just gave us a list of casinos, half of which we don't even know are existent and then literally left without even explaining why they are there. Next time do better and offer an objective approach because a lot of newbies here will take your word for it and could be at risk of being pulled a fast one on.
1031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you ready for Virtual sports based stock market? on: May 11, 2021, 12:38:38 AM
Quite an innovative and fun way to reintroduce the stock market in a way that will entice regular sports fans into joining and investing, however I just wanna know how can they induce profitability in that system besides of course the gambling part of the spectrum. What are the parameters that Powers will set to make sure that each stock invested has the power to rise up and down depending on the economical value of each team?
1032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to seek help if you need; concerned with gambling addiction. on: May 09, 2021, 01:05:44 AM
It's great that you are acknowledging that you might have a problem, however, it is but the first step towards the many if you want to achieve full recovery. That being said, you can always hire a counselor or a therapist to have your issues addressed, I believe that they will accept all forms of addiction and will do their best to assist and ensure that you get back to your normal and best version. Keep it up king, you're getting there.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Feel Pressed Something while Gambling on: May 09, 2021, 12:40:24 AM
The process is enough to make a grown man crap himself. Personally, I felt this in my first days gambling online, as I have multiple doubts and concerns regarding online gambling like the big possibility of being scammed off of my money and stuff like that. Then again I grew out of these fears and I must say, when you have confidence it at least makes each bet decisive that really helps in making you win more, because the more you doubt a bet the more you'll make wrong choices, at least for me.
1034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manga Betting on: May 09, 2021, 12:36:15 AM
Spoilers and leaks will be your biggest enemy when it comes to betting on premade stuff like manga and comics. This has also happened in the past with voting polls for which character would the audience readers want to kill off in a comic chapter, like what happened in DC Comics in the 80s. Sometimes the outcome is already in front of the viewers faces that it is almost for certain that you'd win, so I don't think these type of betting, although novel, will flourish.
1035  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto vs Stocks on: May 09, 2021, 12:33:32 AM
Well since stocks are regulated and all, a fraudulent activity that is sensed by the higher authority can always be rwported to the police and be investigated in a very easy and accessible manner. The same can be done to crypto fraud too. However, its security and anonymity that act as a very good entry feature also makes it very hard for these investigators to get in the bottom of the case and find its perpetrators, plus there's no insurance in crypto which as far as I know is available in stocks.
1036  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you define rich? on: May 05, 2021, 09:41:38 PM
I define someone as rich not by their current financial stature, or how much they earn on a daily or monthly basis, but on how good they can recover after a loss. Most "rich" guys that we know eventually empty their bank accounts within 2 generations because what they have most in money, they lack in proper financial management. A real rich person will find a way to get 100k after losing 10k. And that's how successful people in the world thrived.
1037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in bitcoins for future kids on: May 05, 2021, 09:38:17 PM
It's a good starter to inspire and encourage beginning investors into putting their money to good use. Provided that they do not let their investments stagnate in bitcoins and learn how to diversify their assets eventually, You're not only doing your kids a big favor by ensuring and securing their future. You'd also be giving them valuable information that you have learnt which they can in turn use to eventually earn their own money in the process.
1038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dubai's Government and Gambling on: May 05, 2021, 09:27:27 PM
Dubai is an Islamic Country, this already in its face value is false because gambling afaik is prohibited for Muslims and something they actively avoid partaking in. That being said, more and more news sites are becoming less reliable with their information, goes to show that the quality of media and its usage is slowly deteriorating, especially when you consider the fact that some of us are informed of the current events through memes more than regular old news.
1039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin scammers have a hard time with grammar on: May 05, 2021, 09:08:44 PM
That's a very common giveaway to knowing whether what you're dealing with is a legitimate prize or an Indian or Asian guy trying to pull a fast one on you. But of course, these still works. You know why? Because these types of scams are catered towards people who are easy to fool, or in short, gullible cryptocurrency enthusiasts that as of late are still a good percentage of the people here in this industry.
1040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High transaction fees on: May 05, 2021, 12:23:50 AM
This has been a problem seen by a few people in the early conception of bitcoin. Perhaps Satoshi believed that bitcoin wouldn't be used as a store of value and instead as a full-pledged currency instead which of course will not cause problems with transaction fees. Then again if that's the case he allowed a very big flaw in his otherwise perfect invention. Hopefully some day someone does something about this, since if transaction fees reach 1k, lightning network wouldn't be able to help us anymore.
