1021  Other / Off-topic / Re: How does a black hole attract light? on: May 13, 2015, 12:40:48 AM
The speed of light is the maximum speed because photons have no mass so they cannot accelerate more than that, how can something that has no mass be atracted by a black hole (gravity)

Basically look at the gravity of the universe as a bed sheet stretch out..

When you put something with weight on the sheet you'll see it brings the surrounding area around it sinks..

this very same principal is how gravity works.. granted its a 3 dimensional plane.
1022  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Terraminers sold cheap, need someone to confirm delivery first on: May 13, 2015, 12:35:45 AM
There is a plastics manufacturing plant based in Vietnam, and I came in contact with the owner through networking. The owner has TVs, PS4s, Cameras, and Terraminers (2th/s) in the inventory. They have been operating for over 30 years with verified credentials. I was able to negotiate with them and knock down the price. I can't advertise on here, so any person interested in a test order, please send me your Skype for more info. I will refer you to the seller with the discount. Expect to spend $1000 for a good quantity at your own risk, then you can decide to get more later. The tracking number should be included with the delivery.

SCAM WARNING

A brand new user claiming to have hardware he wants to sell with no proof given and offering to talk over skype... Fishy.

Always use escrow... and NEVER do trades with new users without it unless they send first of course.

Use caution buttcoiners!

1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lies Bagholders Tell Themselves. on: May 13, 2015, 12:22:40 AM
In a free market full of FUD and hype its often difficult to distinguish If ones a bagholder or not.
I've seen alot of coins become popular and go to.. Leaving "bagholders" wondering if they'll ever get paid..

Sad state of crypto. I myself have been a bag holder in the past.
1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CREDITS [CRE] | SHA256 | SIDECHAIN | NEW BLOCK-DEPOSIT FEATURE | OFFICIAL THREAD on: May 13, 2015, 12:14:01 AM
glad to see such progress being made, wish I wouldn't of been away for a little bit so I would of known gpu mining was finally available time to hit that up lol7

GPU mining is still very possible at this point in time!

Head to the forum and download the new 0.09.1.41 client and then the miner and you should be good to go!
Hashrate is climbing like crazy and I think that the AMD chipset cards will be supported soon. Word in the IRC chat its being worked on.
Sorry I didn't inform you of GPU mining sooner! I figured everyone knew a CUDA based mining program had been created.
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DARKDOLLAR IS A VIRUS - DO NOT DOWNLOAD ! on: May 12, 2015, 11:43:34 PM
READ TOPIC

You don't say *nicholas cage face*

A lot of the coins on this forum are nothing more than back doored shit coins promising maximum returns and easy mining.
When in reality all you'll likely get is a keylogger installed and any coins of remote value or worth stolen.

If it seems to good to be true. It likely is. And ALWAYS virus scan new clients or audit /compile the code yourself.
1027  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2015-05-11 The Washington Post - Liberland’s leader detained on: May 12, 2015, 11:32:59 PM
I think the fact that they can go in and arrest this dude who simply just wants his own place and rules to live in is absolutely absurd.

The state of the world is fucking terrible.. And I honestly think more peaceful self governing micro-nations are needed.

Canada has tons of space. And if you go far enough north of the american border there are literally hundreds of thousands of Kilometers of land.
It would be nice to set up my own little nation.. but sadly thats more of a 20 year plan..
1028  Economy / Economics / Re: Just found a person selling about 44,000 Bitcoins in localbitcoins on: May 12, 2015, 11:27:14 PM
Probably some rich saudi prince that bought at $1000 and is trying to recoup some loses.
That is an absolutely ridiculous amount of BTC to sell though.. and dumped on exchanges could spell a large price decrease.

He is asking far to much in USD per a coin though.. I know in Canada we are buying/selling around $290 at the moment and our dollar is weak.

What could 44,000 bitcoins do? If you did it right you'd never have to work again and you would have so much time for projects.

1029  Economy / Auctions / Re: - Big domain auction - 36 included - on: May 12, 2015, 10:59:33 PM
You have some pretty interesting domains there I'll give you that.

Although are you really making any money on selling them that cheap?
Feels like most namecheap domain buys are around $12 or so and you are selling for less.

That being said I'll look through your list again.. are you selling individuals or as a package?
1030  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 2. [WTS] Stack of Dogecoins collection. on: May 12, 2015, 10:25:02 PM
Who designed those coins?

Be far some of the ugliest things I've ever seen for physical coins... Jesus
Considering dogeshit isn't worth spit at the moment I don't know if you'll sell these.. especially at 3K asking price.. lmao
Are these made of any precious metals at all or is it just a cheap chinese stamp with a coating on it?
1031  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB $70 PP for BTC on: May 12, 2015, 07:53:05 PM
Hey there, I'm looking to purchase $70 worth of Paypal funds for 0.29BTC.
Let me know if you're looking to make a quick purchase of some Bitcoin.

Trusted members only please.
Thank you!

please be careful Dev. Paypal is a bitch and even with a trusted member you never realy know the outcome of the trade.
How have you been anyways? I haven't seen you around in quite a while?
1032  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: selling 0.10 btc for paypal on: May 12, 2015, 07:33:03 PM
i want to exchange 0.10 btc for paypal rate is preev rate

As stated in above posts you should be very careful who you accepts paypal from.
It is reversible, it is often used in scams and it's not a great way to be paid for BTC.

If you want to sell by other methods look into localbitcoins.com
1033  Economy / Services / Re: need a faucet script for a new coin on: May 12, 2015, 07:18:06 PM
as title says i need a person to make a script for a new coin, more details pm thanks all

Why would you need to have someone code you a script from scratch when literally a dozen free faucet scripts exist.
A quick google search nets a few notable examples of this.

That being said I'd gladly grab a script and set it up for you but my time isn't exactly free.
1034  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] Genesis Mining Account - 0.6 TH/s on: May 12, 2015, 07:15:31 PM
wait i think i miss something. so you would pay 600/10*0.2*30=360 dollars on fees while according to this calculator: https://alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator you would earn only 50 dollars a month? either im wrong or its a bad deal

it is generating just ~1.55$ per day so you are daily loosing more then 10$ right? and you want to sell it?

Ooops. Sorry, it is 0.02 USD / 10 GH / day. 1.20 USD. It's not losing money, It does about 50 cents / day with current price of BTC + difficulty.

Example of the payouts http://postimg.org/image/5e49uuwv1/

So you are going to sit here and tell me with a straight face that you want to sell an account for $220 that has a 50 cent a day diminishing return?

I'll have what you are smoking please sir.. as no way in hell you are sober when you actually thought that was an acceptable price.
I'd be willing to bet that you won't find a sucker on these boards stupid enough to pay you for your obvious fail investment.
1035  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying BTC on: May 12, 2015, 07:09:17 PM
Hello everyone,

I know I'm new and all, but I trade regularly with BTC on LBC.
I am looking to buy BTC with Google Wallet.

Basically any amount. I can also buy using Gift Card Codes from basically any store.

Please reply to tread or Pm to arrange trade.

Definitely willing to use escrow or any other security measure you would like.

Thanks

Brand new account looking to trade BTC for google money..

SELLER BEWARE.

This is likely the alt of a scammer and you will likely get charged back if you do business with brand new accounts.
Please be cautious and always use escrow when you can..
1036  Economy / Services / Re: question for designers on: May 12, 2015, 05:39:13 AM
I just had a quick question for all web page designers. if youre hired for a job you say you can do(creating a new homepage), and all designs are rejected for being poorly designed, should you be paid in full? or even at all?

and another question if you say you can do a job but you need someone to make you a gif isnt that the designers responsibility?
Well, you should always pay the security deposit. Any designer worth their salt will charge you one, rates depend, but it's usually 50%.

Also, a good designer, will always be willing to keep trying. Making changes until something is liked. However, those changes may fall under revision fees.

So when you say poorly designed, do you say that because you know what good design is, or because you simply don't like the way the composition looks like?

But to answer your first question, you should be expecting to pay at least half upfront. If you don't like the designer or his work, you can let him know this and more than likely he will understand.

+1 to this. As a designer I do not want to sink my time and effort into a project only to have no compensation or have my design stolen.
Its unfortunate that people looking for developers don't realize that alot of us do this as a means to feed ourselves.
Asking us to put countless hours of work into a project only to have it rejected with no pay form what so ever is bollocks.
1037  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: My account: Jacqfrost got scammed by an account named Mrquickie on: May 12, 2015, 03:34:42 AM
With a name like MrQuickie I'd instantly have some red flags raised..

It sucks you lost your account.. this is why you should always use escrow when dealing with untrusted parties.
Maybe get in contact with theymos and see if he can go and reset your passwords and get control of your account back.
1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] Woolong | Coming July 1 | Digital Cash on: May 12, 2015, 01:58:32 AM
Woolong

Woolong is a new coin coming on July 1, 12:01 AM UTC time

It will have PoS and cool stuff!
No premine and no ico.
Put it in your calendar because you don't want to miss it!

Basically get prepared for a cowboy bepop flavoured shitcoin folks!

My prediction is made from coingen.. With a ridiculous premine and some poorly drawn anime backing it.
Seriously.. Where the hell is the innovation or info on this coin...

This forum is full of shitty, copy and paste shit coins and yet people keep supporting them.

Do yourself and crypto a favour and stop mining garbage people.
1039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How To Stake Efficiently PoS Coins on: May 12, 2015, 01:51:20 AM
When mining POS coins its best to split up your coins into smaller stacks.. so when they do stake it doesn't take your whole pile out.
Some coins will hold the coins you used to stake for a hundred (more or less for some coins) blocks which will decrease your over all stake weight..
Its much better to have a large sum of small stacks than a large stack by itself is the general rule though.
1040  Economy / Lending / Re: Need .1 BTC on: May 12, 2015, 01:41:09 AM
Can repay within 24 hours.

Ignore negative feedback, paid back user ages ago, I had to wait until funds came into my bank, and it took ages because it was an international transfer.
Anyway, can prove I've paid him back if you really need.

Currently have no collateral, can provide this account if you really want.

Will pay back .11 BTC.

I'm just gonna go out on a limb here and say you likely will not be granted this loan by anyone..
Mirdude your account isn't worth anything and I don't think any user is going to risk his BTC so you can gamble it or whattever your plans are.
May as well just wait until your bank transfer comes in and then do what you want.
