Voting or Synereo, excited to see their alpha product in September!

It's funny to see a lot of the guys which were smart enough to get involved in NXT in the beginning are also getting involved in Synereo.

More Larimer tricks.
1045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steem pyramid scheme revealed on: July 27, 2016, 05:01:40 AM
I decided to launch a censorship resistance test of Steemit.  I know the Larimers don't seem to like Trump, so their reaction to this will be real interesting:

https://steemit.com/steemit/@r0achtheunsavory/5xdjbo-will-steem-become-a-valid-decentralized-social-media-network-or-just-a-tool-to-push-political-correctness-and-marxist-propaganda

They know Trump's going to send back all the communists, perverts, and trash.

1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steemit: Who could have seen this coming??? on: July 26, 2016, 05:15:55 AM
If there's only one Larimer the other 3 billion women are obviously going to have a hard time finding their dream man.

That's right, because what decent, respectable woman wouldn't want a lying, cheating, perverted, white trash, no good, porno peddling, communist, pimp as their husband?  The line starts here ladies.

You obviously don't understand women. The white trash part might be an issue though. Maybe.

I didn't say Dan wouldn't be able to get a woman, but I think we all know what type of woman he'll get.
1047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steem pyramid scheme revealed on: July 25, 2016, 03:31:03 PM
Carrying on from my prior post...

Furthermore, please note that the Steem white paper's claim there are no transaction fees is an obfuscation of the truth (i.e. it is a lie). Users need STEEM and/or SP stake in order to send any data to the blockchain, i.e. stake-weighted bandwidth limits. The stake holders vote on delegates who then vote on the choice of amount of dilution of the money supply in order to pay the various nodes in the system which validate and maintain the blockchain.

Since this dilution of the money supply debasing the value of the STEEM and/or SP holdings of the user, then this is analogous to paying a transaction fee. The difference is that if the users were paying transaction fees, we could have a competitive market of competing aggregators (e.g. steemit.com) which the users are paying, instead of Dan, Ned, and smooth deciding for the users how much to pay the various nodes (thus kickbacks, overpaying, and all sorts of corruption possible not to mention being very vulnerable to legal action from the government and/or RIAA). Worse is even if the user is not using the system, their stake is continuously being debased! It is not a meritocracy!

This is why people are stating that users will need to periodically buy more stake with outside currency, if they don't earn enough from blogging, because the Steem system is debasing them continuously. So there is no advantage over transactions fees (except for not needing to validate a microtransaction each time a user votes) and some severe disadvantages. I am telling you all that the Graphene blockchain design is not sufficient. I didn't waste the past year or more fixing Satoshi's design and not choosing to adopt Dan's DPoS, because I am an idiot. I did that, because I can see that DPoS is a dead-end direction.

We covered upthread and the other Steem threads, that the insiders' 80% of the money supply (stake) "pre"-mine is not going to be diluted much faster than 10% yearly (assuming they don't use their voting power to further concentrate their stake), because we were able to compute from the published blockchain data that the attrition rate of new signups is roughly 80% and thus the majority of the 40% portion of the "pre"-mine allocated to giving away to new signups, will become abandoned and thus removed from the effective money supply.

CoinHoarder, this is what I mean when I say Dan always produces designs which are socialism or top-down collectivism, instead of true decentralization and maximum degrees-of-freedom+resilience. I always know he will do this. It is something in the way his brain works which AnonyMint observed back in 2013 in our discussion/debates on this BCT forum.

You could have just said that it's COMMUNISM.

Cool story bro... but that's all it is.  It's NOT "decentralized".

Can u explain why the STEEM is NOT a decentralized endeavor, 2Kewl4Skool?

Thank u in advance.

~CfA~

Haven't you heard?  The Larimers can shut it down anytime they feel like it and restrict people's access to their accounts, but they decide to keep it running to profit off the "Steem ladies" and the suckers.
1051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STEEM webwallet sets record with $50k payout for 1 blog post-guess who wrote it? on: July 24, 2016, 12:39:18 PM
That website sure takes its times to load. Is there some kind of maintenance that is why this is happening. Just want to check it.

Ya sometimes its real slow.  U gotta give it some time.

Im sure Dan and the Steemers will be fixing that bad loading times

~CfA~

Don't worry.  They're not going to run with all your money yet.  They know this scam has got some life left in it yet and are going to exploit as many women as possible to line their filthy pockets.  Once the Steem payouts drop off the cliff, and they can't support the "Steem ladies", then they'll run with the money all the suckers gave them in exchange for worthless STEEM.
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: @@@ STEEM SEX @@@ on: July 24, 2016, 12:30:04 PM

Dan is a scumball, and he couldn't get a decent woman if his life depended on it.  This is why he resorts to paying trashy women to expose themselves on his centralized porno service.
1053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STEEM and MONERO - Nifty Combo on: July 24, 2016, 12:24:42 PM

The Larimers are filth, and they will do ANYTHING for money including pimping out women and befriending convicted drug dealers / pornographers.  DO NOT PUT ANYTHING PAST THEM!
1054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of STEEM? on: July 24, 2016, 12:20:24 PM
What I think of the STEEM? It sells Sex. Dan sells Sex.

This is completely correct.  The Larimers are now no better than pimps.  They are absolute trash.
1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steem vs Synereo, which one will lead the decentralized social media revolution? on: July 24, 2016, 08:09:15 AM
I would choose Steem, I have never heard of Synero before. Although Steem seems to have some issues at present, almost all altcoins do sooner or later.

Synereo is actually a decentralized social networking platform.  Steem is just the Larimer's latest centralized scam.
1056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: July 24, 2016, 08:04:09 AM
Let's see this baby make some waves now until Sept  Kiss

I have a feeling there's gonna be plenty of waves Smiley

The potential for this platform is huge.  You have to be blind not to see that.

If that centralized scam "Steem" can reach $337 Million USD, just think what a real decentralized social networking platform powered by the attention economy can reach.  Imo, I think we are going to see a dramatic price increase before the Sept crowdsale.
1057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steemit how can this thing be workable long term? on: July 24, 2016, 07:36:52 AM
Promote yourself and your work effectively and get popular.

Translation:

Suck up to the Larimers and expose yourself to them to get popular.
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of STEEM? on: July 24, 2016, 07:34:21 AM
I'm personally just amazed at Larimer's ability to create intricate Rube Goldberg machines.  You have to sit there and stare at the wall for hours and hours to go through all the endless variables in your brain that can affect his systems...

...Then you have to get into all the economics of the system and how that's going to work out, or if it's "fair" with original entrants turning it into a pyramid scheme.  You end up trying to analyze something that's (borrowing the Anonymint phrase for criticising of Ethereum) unbounded complexity.  You just cannot look at a Larimer system without your brain exploding.

*Will read over the Steem stuff in a sec.  Anything Larimer related always has some type of crazy controversy to it.

Ok, for Steem, economics is basically the study of pump and dumps and rent seeking behavior, culminating in the end game of - if you aren't a slum lord, you aren't doing it right, and Dan likes to read economic-type books that spell out lessons such as this.  It's not surprising he tries to integrate tricks to fool the users since that's all economics is is fooling people into becoming your servants in rent seeking behavior.  It seems Larimer might be an evil genius.

Here is some math on the Steem Rube Goldberg machine:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1558366.msg15686485#msg15686485

Making your scam overly complex is the oldest trick in the book.  It is done for the sole purpose of obfuscating your objective of robbing your victims blind.  Neither of the Larimers are any type of genius, good or evil.  If they were truly smart, they would attempt to earn a living through legitimate means instead of having to resort to these pathetic scams which anyone with a IQ over 80 can see through.

1060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Steemit Lie: false expectations and false advertisement on: July 24, 2016, 07:27:37 AM
Honestly I initially though this was a full on scam and it could still be it, this is crypto after all. However learning about Steem, Steem Power and Steem Dollars is interesting to say the least.

I haven't seen a concept like this in crypto where the currency itself is actually not something to hold forever (Steem) as it has crazy inflation to peg the Steem Dollar. Steem Power on the other hand is basically the share you have in the "company".

That as a system is disruptive to me, there may have been versions of this in the past but I'm not aware of. The only thing I have strong doubts is how "whales" influence the whole platform and there are a handful of them. But oh well, what about Zuckerberg, this is like complaining he has too much influence on Facebook...

If the platform works, then making cents everyday is much better and fun than being on Reddit or whatever, that's the bottom line. It's the actual idea behind decentralization and crypto, why produce content and give all this information to companies when we can all benefit from it based on our work or merits?

The concept of social crypto currency could be here to stay if this gets even more traction.

Cool story bro... but that's all it is.  It's NOT "decentralized".
