801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: October 13, 2016, 04:22:55 AM
"The Synereo team has consulted with its community and economic experts, and deliberated the subject for a long time to come up with a sale mechanism that was considered fair for all parties involved, and that would prevent price manipulation and market turbulence."

What's going on? Synereo's last funding stage ends in one week and the price doesn't follow. Devs should at least try to prevent further dumping by putting up some walls like before. And don't come with the "BTC rise" excuse this is an official crowdfund ffs.

I Agree with you. Devs should protect price during the ICO, otherwise AMP become a playground for whales and price manipulators.

How should we protect the price?

Please, don't listen to them. They don't make any idea of what they are writing here.

That is clear, but other people reading this may not understand that these complaints and accusations are baseless. A simple exercise of thinking this through, of the options available, of what would happen if Synereo sold AMPs at market price or if we changed the rules of the sale now, etc etc would make anyone reach the same conclusions we have. Asking these questions is a way to provoke these thoughts into existence.

Tell this to the people who have no clue of poloniex etc and currently buy in at 40k. those people will get dumped on by the people who bought at 36k who will get dumped on by the people who bought at 33k who currently get dumped on by the people who already had this coin. don't forget the huge dump at the end of this crowdsale. were these your price manipulation prevention mechanisms?

There is no such thing as a "price manipulation prevention mechanism" in free crypto / free capitalism.  There is no way for anyone to prevent market swings except for implementing price fixing.  Deal with it.

That's why people who buy tokens for 40.000 sats will be instant bagholders. Do you consider this fair as synereo stated? Nobody knows how this project will work out. Price development with this amount of coins held by devs? Time will tell. Big investors could have used these market swings to fill their bags even without bonuses. I know price movements are unpredictable. But they themselves stated that they had mechanisms to prevent market turbulences. Look at the Waves ICO. They also worked with buy walls to keep the price above ICO level. This is not a totally new or exotic idea as Elokane asked. How is this second crowdfunding round different from an ICO for new investors? All I'm saying is there should have been some safeguards installed for the investors sake.

Yes, it seems fair to me.  Nobody is going to guarantee you instant profits.  The price fell 40% after the first crowdfunding.  Do you honestly want them to take money away from project development to buy back AMPs from people who are selling at a loss?  Honestly, it might be a good way to raise additional funds for them if they buy back at 28k sat, since they sold them for 40k sat, but then people would be screaming bloody murder.  This is just the way things work.  It's a much smarter and more ethical plan to use the funds to further development of the platform, because then everyone benefits.

803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HarambeCoin (HMBC) Initial Release - #bitsoutforharambe on: October 13, 2016, 04:13:23 AM

I don't know who is more scary between the two mates...

Ha! Listen, Harambe isn't scary, he was just misunderstood. He's was all about just hanging out in his enclosure, relaxing, maybe tossing around a kid if he hopped in, whatever.

Harambe was a gorilla of peace.

It's obvious the parents didn't want that kid, so Harambe stepped up to the plate and took him in like the gentle, peaceful creature that he was.  In my opinion, they should have shot the parents.  Why wasn't there at least a custody battle?
804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin on: October 13, 2016, 03:56:12 AM
We don't have to do a hardfork..?

Yes, we do Smiley

Quote
This release adds transaction replay protection, to be enabled at the hard fork
scheduled for block 1,000,000. Upgrading to 1.10.1 or later before that block
is mandatory for all.

You're right. Fortunately I am running 1.10.2 for a while now, I thought I had to download a new version.  Smiley

Aren't you like a "GLOBAL MOD" on the NXTforum or something?

Picked up some cheap PEPEs.  When is Bittrex going to allow withdrawals again?  I want to stake some PEPEs.  Get on it OP!
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So whats the next scam the Larimers and their buddies are gonna come up with? on: October 13, 2016, 03:30:38 AM
This is the truth.  I was around back then too.  Of course FreeTrade created PTS for the Larimers.  Stan and Dan are too stupid to do it.  In fact, I highly suspect that all their little schemes are "programmed" by someone else.

I think you are on to their big secret.  How can they go from no knowing how to release a simple bitcoin clone, to launching Graphene that has free instant transactions scalable to Visa scale plus smart contracts ?

SOMEONE is helping them, and we all know that Satoshi and Dan used to talk to each other here, so put 2 and 2 together....

It's no secret.  Satoshi thought Dan was an idiot too.

I was hoping that it would crash, and now I buy STEEM under $50 million marketcap!

I hope STEEM crashes, and I will buy it up for peanuts and be the banano king!

You do that.  Btw, nice picture.

You're correct, it is Pepe-related! Fiat currencies will crash globally like the pound sterling and be replaced by Pepe. The entire cryptocurrency atmosphere will be assimilated.

I just went all in on Pepe and if you're smart... you will too!

Pepecoin is already being minted as well... (Bro tip insider info) AND it's already the official currency of 4Chan...

PEPE will be the official currency of the United States.

China going full blown HAM right meow!
http://fiatleak.com/

After BTC hits ATH (thanks to China) can you guys guess which coin they will turn to next? Smiley
...
I'll give you a hint, it's the ONLY altcoin listed on every major Chinese exchange.

I'm pretty confident the correct answer is Pepe coin.
Or Pepe related in some way.

810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So whats the next scam the Larimers and their buddies are gonna come up with? on: October 12, 2016, 05:54:15 AM
Freetrade posted the ANN and handled all feedback on PROTOSHARES
Who is behind PTS ? Any guesses ?

When the PTS ANN was posted i rode FreeTrade's ass for 20 pages on his topic about MEM.
Reminding him how it was at the time the most innovative scam in history.
It was a technical master piece..

He rigged that fucking shitcoin to pay him..
Why ?
He said "For Charity"

get this..

When he lost majority voting control after a while .. he closed the coin and ended it.
Put a closed sign on the door  Cheesy

And get this too..

He had still cheerleaders shilling it up for him even after that.. so what did he do ?
he resurrected the coin then cancelled it again AHHAHAHAHHAH
Fuck you idiots are retarded  Cheesy

So FreeTrade posted the ANN for Protoshares and i grilled him asking him what about MEM ?
Why should we trust a guy who has a track record of doing shit like that ?
His FIRST response was to ..call me a Troll.
And the obligatory leeching sleazy little assholes who were buried in his ass followed along mouthing me off hard.
For ages !

Then.. out of the blue randomly he..

Get this..

Updated the ANN topic to say "MADE BY INVICTUS INNOVATIONS"

Yes in CAPS hahahhah

Then he posted on the topic after like 20 pages of calling me a Troll..
Oh well well, I never *MADE* the coin ..i just posted the topic for it.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut
Problem is he was already acting like the dev for 20 pages LOLOL OL OLOLOL LOLOLOLOL LOLOLOL

No one even remembers and no one even cared and no one was bothered by the links that continue on to this day !

This is the truth.  I was around back then too.  Of course FreeTrade created PTS for the Larimers.  Stan and Dan are too stupid to do it.  In fact, I highly suspect that all their little schemes are "programmed" by someone else.

Things are looking great with the chain, the foundation is laid for our forthcoming projects and tech integrations. Thank you everyone for patiently waiting. We're working at full speed now.

So far not so good, maybe all this Synereo thing is legitimate but it bothers me that nobody reads and they just jump in with feet first. If you read the white paper, it's VERY long and full of proclamations of an emotional level (not simply stating a need/problem and how they solve it) And ultimately, the control and funds are very centralized. I don't think those that are investing would read through that whole document, and if they did, would understand the red flags hidden in it. It's not even in Beta yet and they're having trouble with the code.
Also, Synereo LTD is a private company, and It seems to me that there is a lot of fine print as to who really owns and has control over development and direction here. IMO I think it's a great idea with bad implementation.

There are plans to delegate some control of funds over to the community.  If you listen to the hangout sessions, you'll pick up on the details.

Bittrex is reporting wallet maintenance again.  What is the problem?

Oooh, harsh words, I hope you're gonna play it nicer.

Stan's a fat slob, and he's laughing at his victims.

817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: October 11, 2016, 06:17:21 AM
So just to be clear, people will be able to signup / access the network without running a node?

To my knowledge, yes.

Just that it would be preferred the more nodes the better?

Right.

What about a mobile app actually, has that been discussed at all?

Yes, it has.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TRUMP] TrumpCoin SuperPAC on: October 11, 2016, 04:10:51 AM
I warned the fuckers here. Nobody listens.

Let's all suffer. This coin has to drop further till it fucking dies.

And you can all thank these people behind the scam:

Signal7

Bitbobb

ToadKing

DecentralizeEconomics

Hey now... we're all victims here, except for Signal7.  Would you rather that Bitbobb, ToadKing, and I had posted nothing and let this coin completely grind to a halt?  You're wrong about the marketing team.  A grassroots movement is the only way for this coin to succeed.  Unfortunately, with the election a few weeks away, I don't think we will be able to build up the momentum necessary to make TRUMP a go.  Once the election is over, people will lose interest in TRUMP.  Signal7 ought to be deported for his lack of leadership and incompetence.  I fear that Signal7 will soon dump all his TRUMPs and decimate the price.  Not only does Signal7 have the 100k TRUMP fund, but I believe he also owns 600K TRUMPs personally.  From what I know, he mined all these TRUMPs on computers from his place of employment, which he doesn't own.  That makes him a thief.  He put zero money into acquiring his TRUMPs, and imo, will dump them down to 1 sat, because he would still make a profit.  The bid book is so thin right now it wouldn't take much to drive the price to zero.  I didn't like Signal7 taking over TRUMP from chicken.  He basically attempted to blackmail Chicken.  Signal7 is bad news.  I managed to acquire quite a few TRUMPs, and I too am not happy with the outcome.  This coin could have had such potential, but unfortunately, Signal7 lied to everyone and squandered the opportunity.

Signal7...

819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: October 11, 2016, 03:39:01 AM

That's correct.  There will be no centralized website.  You will have to run a Synereo node to take part in the network.  The plan is to make running a Synereo node as easy as downloading, installing, and running an app.  You log in to your account via the app.

Is this definitely the way it will work - you will have to download and install an app to be on the Social Network? I assumed various individuals could host their own nodes and you could register there. Having to download/install something to get connected seems like a fairly large barrier to entry

You'll be able to do that too, but the goal is to have as many people as possible running their own node as it aids decentralization.
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So whats the next scam the Larimers and their buddies are gonna come up with? on: October 10, 2016, 02:32:58 PM
As someone who has been trying to warn others of the pieces of trash known as the "Larimer Gang" for years, I'll fill you in on some obvious information in case you missed it.  The Larimers are stupid and lazy.  Srsly, like sub 70 IQ stupid... combined.  They are incapable of coming up with an original idea between the two of them.  Bitshares' DPoS was simply a centralized scam based on NXT's innovative PoS algo.  "Steem" was a pathetic attempt to create their own centralized social network utilizing "blockchain technology".  They of course got the social networking idea from Synereo.  The reason all their schemes are centralized are threefold.  First, they are too stupid to create anything truly decentralized.  Second, they are too lazy to attempt it, because it is easier to incompetently copy others' ideas.  Third, they make the most profit from creating a centralized scam and attempting to pass it off as "decentralized".  I'm unsure whether the third reason is intentional or simply a unforeseen consequence of the first and second.  I'm not sure if their combined IQs could deduce the result of their actions.  Now, you may ask yourself if their stupidity and laziness prevents them from being culpable.  To this I add the evidence that they are also chronic liars, cheaters, and thieves.  They are also buddies with the totalitarian Chinese communists who fund their little schemes.  On top of all this, they peddle smut and filth for profit and are friends with upstanding individuals such as Mark Lyford, who is a convicted drug dealer, failed pornographer, and ex-pigeon racer.  You may ask yourself, "How can these two fellas have so much going for them?"  To this I answer that the Larimers are truly in a class of their own.
