10401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC is dead. The plan is a shift to Bitcoin Cash. on: February 18, 2018, 01:22:25 AM
There are no big differences between bitcoincash and bitcoin. so if bitcoin kills, higher quality projects such as ethereum rise to first place.
There are huge differences... BCash is the tool of a criminal who doesn't mind using lies, propaganda and other illegal tactics to try and increase his wealth.

And if I may add, Bitcoin has the full backing of many investors and this community. So I guess that enough to say that they have difference. The support for bitcoin is overwhelming, but bitcoin cash has to react lies, and spread fears against bitcoin so that people will shift to them. Sadly though its not happening that's why that so called flippening didn't materialized but instead they sunk deeper.
10402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 18, 2018, 12:58:47 AM
Congratulations to the great Roger Federer on creating history by becoming the oldest player to become No.1 Smiley (Breaking Agassi record ) . I doubt that he will finish the year end as no.1 though as  he might skip the clay season but its such a great achievement. What a time to live.
Seriously maintaining form and becoming number one in Tennis game that too in this age it is great and unbelievable congratulation Federer. we are just at the beginning of 2018 so for me also it's doubtful that he can maintain his position throughout the year. no words to say about his achievement.
H e has done very well and despite his age he is really playing and even outplaying who are way younger than him and by setting this record, I am sure he wouldn't really mind if he doesn't end the year as the World Number One.

I think getting to number one is his main goal this year. And since he has met it already, I'm sure that we will not push his body just to maintain the position. Its gonna be high risk for him, probably he might go back and choose the tournament that he will be entering. Its gonna be hard to maintain number one, he has achieved so much in the sports and that its gonna be hard to duplicate was he has done.
10403  Economy / Economics / Re: Anonymous trader buys $400 million in bitcoin on: February 18, 2018, 12:30:41 AM
Probably anyone who has a lot of money to burn. I also doubt that its Jamie Dimon himself. It could be a person or group of persons joining their funds together to push the market today.

I'm not sure about insider trading though. Everything is based on speculation so I conclude that there's no one that will come some things ahead of time. He/She/They maybe trusted bitcoin so much that he/she/they put so much money in the ecosystem right now.
10404  Economy / Speculation / Re: Panic sellers are once again hating themselves on: February 17, 2018, 11:59:26 PM
Of course, they will be unhappy with the fact that they hurried and sold at a low price, working in this area should expect and the rise and fall of prices

We all know that sooner or later bitcoin will bounce back, I don't know what's wrong with this panic sellers. They seems not learning from past experience of many of us here. We have been calling them not to sell, but eventually did and now bitcoin has recovered, who are they going to blame? No one but themselves.

Its really a expensive lessons to learn here, I hope that those who are reading this thread wouldn't fall on the path as the panic sellers who now lost their investment because of their dumbness.
10405  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC right now on: February 17, 2018, 11:44:04 PM
Just passed $11k!

This is really remarkable. We have been waiting for bitcoin to bounce back after a hellish and bearish January. So all can now breathe a sigh of relief because we are witnessing another bull run.

Now, what will be our next target? 15K? lol. I'm glad that I didn't panic and just hold on my coins because I have no doubt that it will recover and now we are all a witness to its epic comeback.
10406  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: HitBTC scam! on: February 17, 2018, 11:21:04 PM
A month ago I had some problems with my withdrawals, didn't went through for some reason, but got fixed on it self.
I have had a support ticket opened back then, and believe it or not, I just got a reply!
After more than a month.

I have the same problem as yours, my withdrawals didn't went through and then I have to call the attention of their support and says that they are going to look at it but it took them 3 weeks to finally send me the funds in my wallets which I lost substantial amount already because I wasn't able to trade in it time.

I'm really disappointed that's why I took everything and try other exchanges. Bad experience for me.
10407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Relationships! on: February 17, 2018, 10:59:39 PM
About relationships... you just need to explain to your partner what is variance, short-term results and long-terms result.

Then when she/he sees the amount of money you are making over a long run, the problem is auto solved Smiley

Easy said that done. What if your partner didn't understand gambling? He/She doesn't even know how to bet. Well, we all know that in the long run, we will eventually lose so I don't think that its a viable explanation.

It's either he/she joins you in gambling, otherwise we need to adjust like quitting for the sake of your relationship. You have to decide what's important and prioritized things in life.
10408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: February 17, 2018, 10:39:17 PM
For me, in the West, I think Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder have the shot in the Western Conference to dethrone the Defending Champs because the Housten Rockets depth especially now with Joe Johnson added have a chance to fight against the Warriors as for Oklahoma City with much more game remaining before the postseason if the Chemistry of their big three goes so well GSW will be find it hard to beat them.
Yeah the Golden State Warriors are going to have it tough when they face the likes of the Rockets and OKC Thunder in the playoffs and am very certain that they are not going to make it at all when to even claim the conference championship.

I agree with the both of you. Those teams have put up a solid team this year and it will make a big difference to challenge GSW in the West. Right now we are seeing that GSW is somewhat inconsistent.

As for the East, Toronto and Boston to challenge Cavs. Its gonna be exciting to see how everything will progress after the all star break because we are getting closer to the playoffs.
10409  Economy / Speculation / Re: Any predictions for next few days on: February 17, 2018, 12:02:32 AM
Sorry.  I thought I got the right board for predictions or speculations.  I apologise.

You did, but try in the future to at least offer some reasoning.

I think the price will stay around 10-11k over the weekend before moving through to 12-13k in the next week. The recovery seems fairly solid and we haven't experienced many dips on the way up, some alts seem to be recovering now too and I get the impression some money and confidence is returning to the market.

Exactly, I don't know why people here still predicts bitcoin to go down. Haven't you guys seen that the market is already bounce back and now you predict that it will go down again? But if the price has gone down, you all bitcoin about how bitcoin is dying and everything.

I'm pretty sure that you are trolling here. Because it doesn't make sense that you are predicting a price that we all know is not going to be touch as the price is started to pick up once again.
10410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel like your friends who don't own crypto want you to fail? on: February 16, 2018, 11:37:18 PM
Yes, I can feel you. The one that told and mentor me about bitcoin is not envious about me because I'm earning way above from him. I just talk to him last night, and I can feel some animosity in his tone. So I stop talking and just listen as to how much he is earning from his mining and trading. And he also brought up something like those who he help in the beginning (like me), is not asking questions to him but all of them are reaching to me. So I really don't know what to do then.
10411  Economy / Economics / Re: Spectulation for Bitcoin on: February 16, 2018, 11:15:18 PM
I'm spectulating after the 17-18th of Feb , that Bitcoin will drop SIGNIFICANTLY with Chinese new Year fast approaching.

Once it does , It will hover and go down to about 3k / BTC and near the end of 2018 , it will rise Significantly , to about 30k USD.

And then in 2019 Q1 Bitcoin will be able to pass 50k USD ...

This is spectulation , but lets see if i'm right.

What do you guys think will happen to Bitcoin for the next 2-5 years?

I'm sorry but bitcoin is still is still above $10K Feb 17, and I doubt that we can see it touching below $10K this month. On the contrary, this rally that we are seeing will continue and not be affected and drop significantly after the Chinese New Year.

I'm betting that it could go to $50K-$60K at the end of the year. Remember that we still have the Lightning Network factor, if this is implemented in the next quarter then expect bitcoin to reach another all time high.
10412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: February 16, 2018, 10:29:49 PM
Nikola Jokic (Denver) made the fastest triple-double in the history of the NBA in 14 minutes and 33 seconds, sharply improving the 17-minute Jim Tucker record he had resisted since 1955!
Denver also scored 24 shots by 3 points touching last year's Cleveland record (25)

I guess, no record is really safe in the NBA. The only untouchables are the Wilt's records as far as I know.

The cavs won those trades. First i had raptors to the finals, Now cavs will win again. Clarkson, Nance, Hood and Hill. wow. solid bench

Definitely the Cavs made the best move and the winner of the trade. Disposing those veterans is the only thing to do to help them improved and be competitive and now they are reaping the rewards. Specially Jordan Clarkson, which seems to be enjoying his new role and playing along with Lebron. I think they are already out this season, but with the overhaul, I wouldn't be surprise if they are going to challenge Toronto and Celtics for the top spot.
10413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 16, 2018, 10:02:46 PM
King Roger Federer is back on his throne!
he is definitely in the legend.
With 36 years 6 months and 11 days is the oldest n.1!
For me he is surely the strongest player of all time.

Nice. I 100% agreed. Its remarkable that he was able to reclaim his throne at 36 years old and the oldest #1. Let's see how Nadal reacts, he is resting but I'm sure that he wants to get it back, although they are friends outside the court, but inside its different. This guys have a high level of competitiveness around them and wouldn't move an inch.

What can I say? Congrats to Roger for being the #1 again and I'm sure tennis world is very happy to see him back at his throne.
10414  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Chinese New Year boost crypto market cap? on: February 15, 2018, 11:57:07 PM
With Chinese New Year coming up on 2/16 what do you think will happen will the market cap get an influx of new money from China or not? I'm thinking we will and hoping it will boost prices for all coins but of course, this is just speculation, what do you think?

The Chinese New Year does seem to have had a positive impact on Bitcoin. The price has risen above the crucial resistance level of $10,000. The Chinese New Year doesn't seem to have done anything special for altcoins. Most of them are trading flat from yesterday in fiat terms.

Exactly. Maybe all who says that it will really bring money to the ecosystem are absolutely right. I'm glad to see that bitcoin finally breaking the $10K mark once again and from the looks of it we may never see it going $9999 for the next months or so. Nice job for every holders up to now.

Lets see how the market goes in the next succeeding weeks. I have a gut feeling that we are in another rally up to $12K before seeing another change in the prices.
10415  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin bull run begins now? on: February 15, 2018, 11:38:40 PM
Stability of bitcoin at $8,000 seems to be a good support and it's not yet falling down.
Most of us know that bitcoin market is turning bullish but we couldn't exactly predict that bitcoin price would reach 50k dollars.
as we can all see, the price has been quite stable around $8k... unable to break the resistance price at $9k
if price can steadily increase ~10%/month, we might see $22k at the end of 2018
I can only hope it drops to $6k one more time so I can buy some, before it goes back up to $20k+
That scenario from $8,000 is happening now to bitcoin as it is making itself stable at $9,000 and is having rough time to break $10,000. $22,000 sounds nice but I'm also believing those speculations that bitcoin can possibly reach $40,000 by the end of the year. And with your chance of buying before at $6,000, didn't you bought some during that dip? I guess it won't come back again to that price.
I spoke too soon Grin it just broke $9k and on the move breaking $10k checkpoint
if this uptrend movement can keep at its pace, it's right on track to get up to $22k or even more in dec 2018
I don't have any (liquid fund) cash ready at the time it was $6k Cry all locked on stocks and mutual funds
Yeah mate and you know what? Boom! Hello $10,110. Our baby is now back again to 5 digit and I know many are celebrating. It seems that the Chinese New Year is really one of the major reason why it dropped so quick and why it is recovering so fast. I'm also waiting to see it back at $20k and I don't care if it will take a year or so as long as I'm going to see it. Well sorry about it mate if your funds are locked on mutual funds.  Grin
But I guess you still have some btc left on hold.

Agreed. Seeing bitcoin hitting the 5 digits again was breath taking. After a very bearish trend in the last two months, we finally seeing some rewards for those who have dearly hold onto their bitcoin during the crisis.

Its gonna be exciting after the end of the Chinese New Year. I'm waiting for the price to break the $12K (which is the next psychological barrier). Let's the bulls started their run and see where it ends.
10416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: February 15, 2018, 11:15:23 PM
Durant had 50 points today, but the last three minutes were too bad!

The warriors lost the league to the Houston rockets after losing the game.

The all-star weekend off is a chance for teams to adjust!

Yes, its very unfortunate for them to lost the game. It was really tight at the end, but I guess the breaks of the game went against them. Although they lost the #1 spot, I'm sure that its not something that they need to worry about.

Good to see that we have the all-star break and see some fun times around. I'm sure the game will be a offensive display and well above 300 points once again.
10417  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoins hit 30K before the end of this year? on: February 15, 2018, 10:58:05 PM
Will Bitcoins hit 30K before the end of this year?

Do you also have kind of assumption? I already have...

Its too early to tell because we have just in the second month of this year and we have been recovering for more than 2 months of bearish trend. We just barely hit $10K today and we don't know if that's going to be sustainable in the long end.

But if we are all going to look at bitcoins past historical graphs, there's a good chance that we can get even as high as $50K this year. All we need is more positive news coming from all sectors. No crystal ball can predict the price at the end of the year, but personally I will assume that we can go and hit $30K which is just like x3 of the current price.
10418  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy in your country on: February 15, 2018, 10:24:02 PM
What do you think are the effects of btc in your country? Because in my country it thus not affect the economy of ours. Share yours.

As much as we want to think that there are a lot of people using bitcoin, still a small percentage of the population really know what bitcoin is. So in my country, only few knows what bitcoin is so there not much effect on our economy.

But its really good to see that bitcoin who earn bitcoin can really enjoy financial freedom. They have a lot of buying power now which turns re ignite our economy to a certain extent.
10419  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to 10k on: February 14, 2018, 10:37:54 PM
Dear Bitcoin fanatics,

Do you think BTC.X is getting at 10k this week or not? Personally I think it is Grin. I'd love to see your reactions !

Cheers

Of course it will get to $10K no doubt about it. We are only a few hundred dollars so its possible to see the price hit at the end of the week.

Maybe $10K is the next mental barrier, but we have seen from the past that mental barrier can be broken. Its just the question of when. I'm sure that if ever we break it in the weekends, everyone can say that we are out of the woods and then our new goals, to break the all-time-high.
10420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: February 14, 2018, 10:12:20 PM
Cavs outmatched OKC this time. Lebron James is much more relaxed compared to past few games. Even though Kevin Love didn't play against OKC, Cavs still managed to avenge their lost before. The addition of J. Clarkson, Nance Jr., Hood, and Hill makes the rotation of Cavs much more versatile and what makes it much more surprisingly amazing is that they easily find their chemistry.

It's not the chemistry as always but new CAVS players on the floor are used to play with their respective roles.

On the other hand, Oklahoma City Thunders did some great performanced too and not really outmatched. Russell Westbrook, Paul George, Carmelo Anthony (who always have an isolation play against LeBron James) and Steven Adams (with monster 17 boads) are on 20+ points margin with a nice field goal stats. It's just that offensive really took placed more on the Cavaliers squad.

If I may add, they are a perfect fit for the Cleveland Cavaliers and yes Lebron look relaxed because he's happy seeing them back winning and the team more lively.

Yeah they are not out hussled, its that the Cleveland are playing smooth because everyone knows what they gonna do. I think Cavaliers will enjoy a winning streak this second half of the season and can still finish on top.
