10561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $100.000 to build a portfolio and hodl one year on: January 16, 2018, 09:07:34 AM
if you will remember to check this thread Tongue
i'll think about it.. it would be easier to play 1-2 months ago
now too many coins are higher than ever

Yes, I hope this thread can be followed and updated. But look at the huge drops today, almost all my coins are below by 20%, so taking a look at this list, safe to say that any one who buys them right now can look to profit in a couple of months. I'm pretty tempted to go in too, I had to wait five or six months on my last buy in to make profits but I feel that is worth the risk. I will wait a couple days more to see what happens. Probably an even lower day tomorrow since markets are taking time to react, and more selling is bound to follow. Then we have incredible bargains mid week.
10562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Blood bath! Bubble burst? on: January 16, 2018, 08:40:17 AM
Phew. Makes me feel good about selling off some alt positions at small profit. Bitcoin lost quite a bit of value but at least I managed to stave off worst losses by selling alts into Bitcoin since selling them into any other alts would have been worst at the moment. The big winners should be those who sold to pegged currencies, but then I never trust Steem dollars or Tether especially. Thinking that this is an excellent time to buy in, but I probably should wait a little more to see if things get worse for even better bargains.
10563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $100.000 to build a portfolio and hodl one year on: January 15, 2018, 05:39:24 PM
This is too easy. I'd take 90 of the top 100 coins and invest $1,000 in each. The remaining $10,000 I will split up equally, and invest into ten new ICOs OR tokens below Top 200, with some intensive due diligence to back that up, of course.

Except Bitconnect and whichever coins I eventually find out are pyramid/ponzi/scams, of course.

Tell me that's not 100% fool proof, but almost surely to at worst maintain fiat value after end of 2018.
10564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: News about Dash cryptocurrency on: January 15, 2018, 12:35:10 PM
So, just catching up on this thread. Yes, I'm one of those who managed to stay away from Dash and am now reconsidering my position, just as I did with ETH, and just as I currently am with NEO. With the news of DASH getting accepted on Visa seeming to be the most important recent update, what has happened with the new Visa changes than have forced them to drop crypto? How come I can't find any update on this, is it because DASH hasn't been affected at all?
10565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO price predictions? on: January 14, 2018, 07:00:37 PM
Oh man, we all WAY underestimated NEO, including myself.

This coin is a RUNAWAY FREIGHT TRAIN straight to $1,000. Probably won't get there in 2018, but it cannot be stopped. Own some now or regret it forever.

LOL, all of those predictions are about 50% lower than it should have been! Actually, i also thought it would take longer for NEO to go over $100 but it done it already. I wouldn't  be surprised if it hit $500 by the end of 2018. However, i also underestimated NEO so perhaps it will hit $1000 Cheesy

I left the NEO train well and truly, but for some reason can't find myself feeling very much regret over it. Maybe it will creep in if NEO hits $500 this year, but I find it very hard to see how it can do that when it's already run ahead with full steam. Perhaps I will be yet another one to underestimate NEO, but I'm hoping my other selections will help soothe the pain if that happens.

Still, too many things can go wrong for me to look back and panic buy now.
10566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETHEREUM WILL WORTH $10000 on: January 14, 2018, 03:16:00 PM
Ethereum is the second Bitcoin i think everybody believe that.Still eth price rapidly increasing. In October price was worth 270$ than december price touched 1k$ i think in 2018 it will worth 5k$

Um, no, the second Bitcoin was Litecoin, and then there have been many pretenders now, the biggest of which is Bitcoin Cash. Remember that Bitcoin was first and foremost a digital currency, even though it is today seen as a store of value. Ethereum does play that role, but it is actually only a secondary one. dapps, smart contract and enterprise platform, don't forget Vitalin calls it a planetary supercomputer. Price is one thing but usage and tech is the more important. Even if ETH won't be 2k this year, it doesn't mean it isn't important.
10567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The entire crypto market is bleeding on: January 14, 2018, 12:37:46 PM
Another wonderful day in the crypto world.

Let all the newbs get scared off and sell off their coin so I can buy in at a lower price. And, when it rebounds I/We who have stuck it out can reap the profits. Only the strong will survive.

Well, this strategy was used by me back in August, and I was stuck holding bags of alts for months before they finally recovered in December. Sold off about half, and yesterday Wings DAO returned to 14k sats so I again sold off anough to recoup my initial Bitcoin investment. So far, I am almost 60% sold off on my "cheap alts buy strat", waiting for the rest of them to return to parity but overall I'd say yes, you can't lose if you buy the dips now. Not if you're willing to wait a few months, which I definitely am.
10568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 🔔 RaiBlocks teams [ico] 💰 New name is DADI 🎯 on: January 14, 2018, 10:40:40 AM
Plagiarism, false claims... should go top ten on release  Grin

Unfortunately, you're probably right. People just have wool pulled over their eyes so easily in crypto. Look at Iota and the false claims it made, which it later had to clarify. Didn't seem to harm them, the desired effect had already been achieved. I bet even if DADI is now forced to clarify also, their supporters will just dismiss it as a bump in the road and go ahead invest anyway. And then the coin will go up, and everyone will forget this nonsense in a year. Just like how ETH Dash and Ripple all got over their bumps.
10569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Recently etherdelta congestion, and why? on: January 13, 2018, 07:22:16 PM
I checked out EtherDelta when it was still new, and was surprised that it was quite slow even from the beginning. Unsurprisingly I suppose, and it shouldn't get any better so soon with the volume of trade happening. I think when ERC20 tokens were issued, or in fact any token sitting on blockchains for that matter, people didn't realise that it creates a double stress on transactions. Tokens and crypto kitties stressing the Eth network, and blocking up traffic on exchanges. Wonderful, isn't it?
10570  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 TRANSFORMATION HAS BEGUN! CSNO TOKENS ADDED! 🎰🎰🎰 on: January 13, 2018, 03:55:11 PM
Any chance BitDice will be upgrading Bitcoin deposit wallets to SegWit? I know it's a bit too soon to ask for such things, probably painful for the site to migrate, but perhaps better to do it now rather than later (since, it is going to happen sooner or later, right?). If native segwit is still going to be problematic, perhaps we could start with using the "encapsulated" ones that begin with "3"? May not seem like much but with fees currently so high, it'll save the site long term. Every deposit is an input that could be smaller Smiley
10571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Etherscan.io is down? on: January 13, 2018, 01:14:15 PM
Etherscan seems to be back reliably today, althought its explorer is still behind the other nodes... My address balance is finally able to be shown on the etherscan page though, so that's good. Also, I finally was able to sign a transaction from MEW using Etherscan node, so looks like everything is "back to normal". Had me worried for a little while, especially as couldn't even check my Ether balance since 11th. Really need 2.0 to start rolling out quickly. Network is seriously gone down the drain.
10572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: FIRST LEGIT CRYPTOPIA PUMPING GROUP on: January 13, 2018, 09:36:29 AM
Legitimate does not mean legal. Not illegal does not mean legal. There can be no legal aspect if there are no laws. Like people are pointing out, there is no regulation for trading crypto, just the house rules of each different exchange. Even insider trading like what happened with Bitcoin Cash on Coinbase seems to be fine, legitimate, according to Mr Roger Ver. The worst that could happen if Coinbase really found out about those employees who did it (pumped and dumped Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash) is that they get fired. That's the house rules.
10573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $100 in 8 coins each, hodl for 1 year on: January 12, 2018, 10:46:54 PM
Actually, I think any coin almost in the top 20 would have made money from where it was a year ago. This actually includes scams like Bitconnect. I know there have been others also declared scammy, such as Dash, even Ethereum and most recently Ripple, but I'm talking about a straight up pyramid scheme or ponzi that BCC is (yes, BCC is not Bitcoin Cash).

Good luck, but don't lose everything. I'm happy you did 800 and nothing more.
10574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 【Yobit.NET】The withdrawal is not completed on: January 12, 2018, 05:59:19 PM
Just to add that I made five separate withdrawals, all different coins since 5th January. All of them sent the confirmation email immediately, which I clicked. And all of them were processed within 2 to 3 hours, except for Bitcoin which was in fact in under 10 minutes. So, nothing has really changed, withdrawals are still being processed with no issues. Also to note, all of them were above $100 in various altcoins and Bitcoin itself.

Whatever you guys are facing, I seem to be all right from it.
10575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC - Litecoin - your thoughts? on: January 12, 2018, 04:37:14 PM
Litecoin will Pump soon
Just buy and wait a few days
Its a big coin, strong, big marketcap, a lot of exchanges
Ripple and Ethereum had their moment
Now its Litecoin time
The target short term will be arround US$ 400,00~500,00

Except that it has already recently witnessed an incredible pump. Did you know that when it reached its all time high, it was performing even better than Bitcoin in the entire 2017. If that doesn't already classify as a pump, I don't know what is. Talking about half a million dollars is utter nonsense for any coin when it talks about short term. I swear my eyes are bleeding from reading such spam from those like you. Wish you actually did something bad enough to get reported.
10576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IS CRYPTO TRADING ADDICTION? on: January 12, 2018, 01:57:48 PM
Yes you can call crypto trading as an addiction specially if you spend more time doing it. Here is the meaning of addiction to enlighten you:

Addiction is the repeated involvement with a substance or activity, despite the substantial harm it now causes, because that involvement was (and may continue to be) pleasurable and/or valuable.

Glad someone else can recognize that most of us, simply by spending time on this forum and on exchanges and on news sites - yes, we are well and truly addicted! It's almost a sadistic pleasure, though, this crypto. Keeps me up thinking about what ifs and regrets, keeps me down even when I'm up. Not to mention all the rushes you feel when watching things turn green or reading some breaking news about some alt you hold. Lose or win, we'll keep coming back to try again. Target reached? We keep setting new orders.
10577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Wallet for many altcoins on: January 12, 2018, 09:25:10 AM
Wow. I knew there were a lot of newcomers, but judging from the responses, there were a lot more than I could have ever guessed. You all realize that those of you who recommended MyEtherWallet are talking about tokens, which are not exactly altcoins right? I mean yes, there are now clustered as alts but only because they are used like cryptocurrency (then again, 99% of them aren't used, just traded).

Or have I become left behind in time? Am I simply too slow to keep up with the times? MEW best altcoin wallet... Nobody reads OP anymore I guess. Good luck storing Iota and Monero on Mew.
10578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO - Getting Expensive than ever on: January 11, 2018, 08:06:55 PM
It hasn't changed the scene for small entrepreneurs. If your idea is really good, and you work hard and work long at it, eventually it will get the recognition it deserves. Don't forget that a lot of successful blockchain projects and cryptocurrencies started from nothing. No ICOs, no paid developers. No paid promotion or paid marketing. Just good old solid hard work.

ICOs were the easy solution for corporations and businesses to expand. Reverse ICOs are the new trend for "decentralizing" a business.
10579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple XRP is a complete fraud GET OUT! on: January 11, 2018, 04:48:33 PM
This has no chance to compete with Bitcoin in the long run. It's not useful as a currency, and not useful for banks in any way. It's all empty. I did make some profits with this, but it's dirty money, I'm ashamed. Will not touch again. See how I cannot even bring myself to say the name of this... token...  Sad

Just like rivers return into the ocean, all the money will return to Bitcoin in the end.

not useful? 😂

ripple just announced XRP partnership with moneygram.
http://fortune.com/2018/01/11/ripple-moneygram-xrp-cryptocurrency-bank-transfers/

what's btc doing?

give up loser.

Er. Without XRP, Moneygram can still be used. It may have added a benefit, but what extra thing will not work without Ripple? Partnerships make the companies stronger yes, but not the users. You ask what Bitcoin is doing? That's the whole point, it doesn't need to do anything, and people are already using it. It doesn't need partnerships, promotions, hyping and shilling or bounties, and yet people are buying selling and exchanging it for cash.

You're deluded if you think announcements like that are what makes a coin.
10580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptoinsight - Short term 10x on: January 11, 2018, 09:32:05 AM
Awesome features like what? Too many projects claim to give you insight, but there are only a handful with actual information that is useful and interesting. Doesn't specify what is safe, and like others, no transparent track record to prove anything.

Never heard of it either. But if it really can do short term x10, then why on earth would anyone want to get into it now? The real outlook for crypto has to change from period of months to years. We really need to be more realistic, 2020 is only two years way, why rush everything in the rush to make money?
