1061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin could destroy economy on: April 24, 2021, 11:47:51 PM
Will everyone do this eventually? Probably yes. Will this automatically makes me a suspect for funding the terrorists, committing money laundering, or everything you just mentioned? Not really. With proper KYC being needed in multiple crypto wallets nowadays, it's almost impossible for anyone to use their bitcoins for unsafe purposes already. And if your concern is bitcoin destroying the fiat economy, don't worry about it dude. The Fiat Economy is already destroying itself even before the conception of bitcoin.
1062  Other / Archival / Re: The difference between the Martingale system and One-Time-Bet on: April 24, 2021, 11:41:18 PM
The difference between the two is the guarantee of getting the next try. You won't get the second round guaranteed on a one-time-betting system because it is heavily reliant on you winning the first round. If you don't win that round, you wouldn't have enough funding to carry on with the next. The Martingale strategy however, at the very least guarantees that you would still be able to bet even if you lost the first round, since it is imperative that you drag it out probably by using your pocket money in cases where you lose.
1063  Economy / Economics / Re: FINALLY ALL MONETARY AUTHORITIES IN THE WORLD WILL ADOPT BITCOIN on: April 24, 2021, 01:01:37 AM
We still have a long way to go towards total global adoption, but the fact that we're getting there is absolutely good news for us bitcoin supporters and believers but with continuous support from us and backing from larger companies, the dream may not be so distant after all. Let's all work on that dream.
1064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on TV? on: April 24, 2021, 12:40:52 AM
Bitcoin has been mentioned a couple of times in a few shows on TV, the Simpsons for example has scenes where they talk about Satoshi Nakamoto and quite recently their predictions on what bitcoin's next price will be. So we can safely say that at this point Bitcoin, along with Satoshi Nakamoto has already gained traction not only in the mainstream media, but most probably even in popular culture, especially with the coming boom of NFT arts.
1065  Economy / Economics / Re: "BTC not a currency per se but can be an alternative asset" China on: April 23, 2021, 11:15:39 PM
China saw an opportunity with bitcoin in the past, they just shrugged it off because it either is still valued lesser, or because of the news I saw 2 years ago where they are supposed to digitize the Yuan currency. Then again it just shows that with enough encouragement, a government repulsed by the idea of cryptocurrencies can be made to change mind when given the benefits and opportunities that it can bring to their country This will definitely expedite bitcoin's growth and ultimately, the global adoption we are looking for.
1066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where are 0% house edge dice games at ? on: April 23, 2021, 10:49:07 PM
I don't think it's going to be healthy for the casino to implement a 0% house edge rule, since it is where the house truly profits. If they would, I'm pretty sure that it will only be for a set period of time and not all throughout the gambling house's operation. Instead of looking for sites like these and risking yourself from scammers, just put your money on established sites which guarantees that you'll get your profit.
1067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Curacao license scam on: April 23, 2021, 10:41:45 PM
No extensive explanation as to why they are labeled as 'scam'. Besides, I have played in some of the casinos that are listed on the site you gave and I had no problems withdrawing, depositing, or even winning/losing games so far. I don't think the problem is with the sites that use Curacao license, as it is what is readily available and in some cases cheaper and much accessible, I think the problem is with Curacao themselves, and the licensing parameters they impose.
1068  Economy / Economics / Re: I think Bitcoin is the biggest bubble and ponzi in the universe or it isn't? on: April 21, 2021, 11:46:12 PM
Using vague analogy to exhibit correlation between the two, something that we've already seen ever since 2015. Ponzi schemes require active referral and participation from the bottom members to keep the system alive, bitcoin doesn't have to. And don't even get me talking about the miners who prolly haven't even spent a cent to invest in bitcoin, but are still earning big gains. Is bitcoin a bubble? As much as people would like bitcoin to pop out of existence, they are yet to succeed, even after 11 years. is bitcoin a Ponzi? certainly not.
1069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The problem is that it could take again many years to recover on: April 21, 2021, 11:41:17 PM
Things like this happen not only with bitcoin but to almost all of assets out there, and people who have invested in bitcoin and are wise enough to see what this is all about know for a fact that as long as we get a confirmation that we'd be getting a new ATH or at least recover, we're good. Bitcoin isn't your everyday get-rich-quick scheme, regardless of what people who brought you in have told you, as one guy in this forum said you'd have to invest your time, more than your money because bitcoin is a long-term investment.
1070  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Could Have Caused Bitcoin to Flash Crash On Sunday? on: April 21, 2021, 11:38:15 PM
I believe it is the tweet about the US Treasury a couple of days ago that started this dipping. People got consumed by the fear of losing their earnings and have since dipped out. A domino effect ensued where people that haven't seen the tweet still sold their assets because the coin is dumping and they wouldn't want their holdings to depreciate in value. Things like this have been going on with bitcoin ever since it was created so this is nothing new.
1071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: April 21, 2021, 11:34:59 PM
I believe gambling requires such a high level of control that not many people may achieve that and I understand it. I have gambled for over 10 years now (and most of it on crypto as well) and I can tell you that I have failed to control myself so many times before, obviously I am much better at it right now, but even just last month I had a moment when I got angry at a loss and got involved a lot bigger bets to make it back and lost all my deposit there.

This is as one of the most rookie mistakes as anyone can make and I think haven't done that in years but I still did it recently, why? Because we are all humans so lack of controlling our emotions do happen time to time and we should not be shocked about it. Obviously we are going to be a bit better with time but we should also be accepting towards our own mistakes when they happen.
Very well said, irresponsible people would always put the blame on something/someone else when things get rough. We see this all the time in gambling. People saying "They are bound to lose that game anyway" and would carry on to the next without any regard for the money and the time they spend. Well truth be told, of course they are going to lose, it's up to them on how they would recuperate these losses and start controlling themselves. As for you my friend, it's actually great that at the very least you recognize that you're the one at fault, and even with only that I can sense that you're a much wiser and better gambler now than you what you are in the past.
1072  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin the best one to invest in? Or am i too late? :( on: April 20, 2021, 11:37:22 PM
It's never too late to invest in bitcoin, although the price may seem disheartening for some people because of how high it is right now. Just imagine your gains when it reaches 100k, 150k, or even a million dollars. Just invest, don't listen to the FUDders because at the end of the day it's your money we're talking about and not theirs. Bitcoin shows so much potential that you just can't overlook it.
1073  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid virus 2021 on: April 20, 2021, 11:19:08 PM
I don't think a crypto-centric society is going to work, if all of us in the planet ditched their jobs and instead invested in crypto, the industry will be oversaturated, which will cause severe poverty and starvation for people who aren't able to invest their money in crypto. Regular jobs will depreciate in number and worth since people deem crypto investing and mining much more profitable than your average 9-5, so people will be caught in a deadlock where they can get themselves a 9-5 only to be paid dirt cheap, while also not able to invest their money on crypto because the industry is oversaturated already.
1074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Feature Do You Look for In Slot Games? on: April 20, 2021, 11:02:20 PM
Like most of you guys here that commented, I would highly prefer if a gambling site I am planning to spend my money on could provide something back to its players, like maybe a free spin or a spending milestone with generous rewards. I also look for the legitimacy of the site, and most of the times how the site look like gives this away. If the site well-made and is pleasing to the eyes, you bet they spent a lot of time and money creating it and wouldn't have the balls to scam their players.
1075  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who’s more powerful? The players, Fans or Clubs on: April 20, 2021, 10:53:54 PM
It's the Fans that I think are the most powerful out of all three. Imagine being a very good content creator, on an established and well-known platform like Youtube, but still unable to rake in views because you don't have supporters/subscribers. That's how powerful the mass is compared to an individual or a corporation, they can do everything they can to rake in people, but if the fans say no, then they wouldn't have any choice.
1076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if Bitcoin hits $1m in the future? on: April 19, 2021, 11:01:18 PM
If USD continuously depreciated in value, Bitcoin will reach the $1m mark in about 5-10 years. And when that happens, the people who invested on bitcoin back in the 2010s will be richer than the richest people alive on Earth here at 2021. So they may buy themselves a lambo, cook themselves some lobster tail, or buy themselves a yacht. But I think what I'll do about the huge money, had I been in their shoes, will be to give back to some people through charity, or probably giveaways.
1077  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the purpose of (fiat pegged) Stablecoins? on: April 19, 2021, 10:57:37 PM
I'm not sure about how people use their stablecoins, but with the current boom in Yield Farming popularity, I found greater use for my Tethers. See, with regular volatile cryptocurrencies my holdings and stakings are very susceptible to impermanent losses, which happens when you stake a token and the token depreciates in value. I'd still get my staking rewards, but it will be much less valuable than if I had just held on to them. With stablecoins this doesn't happen because at the end of the day, the coin has no chances of depreciation, because it is tethered on a fiat currency. So I can still enjoy greater APYs without risking myself to lesser profit.
1078  Economy / Economics / Re: Are "Work Ethics" & "American Dream" a way to keep people working hard? on: April 19, 2021, 10:53:24 PM
People should work and be given opportunities to work based on their specific talents, and ambitions. According to Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs, the highest on the ladder is 'Self-Actualization', which is the expressed feeling of content of an individual after achieving his/her dreams. Sure, the American Dream applies to everyone who is living a western lifestyle, but altogether, everyone should strive and work for their Self-Actualization, doesn't matter if there is someone who is living off of some of your hard-earned work, just think of it as taxation to give these people a chance to better themselves as well and reach your level.
1079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wyoming legalized online sports betting - crypto wagers allowed too on: April 19, 2021, 10:46:43 PM
I think it's great that more and more governing forces and authorities are acknowledging crypto gambling as another form of gambling. But I don't think it's actually nice that they are specifically asking these gambling sites operating within their vicinity to cash in using fiat, "greenbacks" as they say, and then convert it into bitcoin or any other form of cryptocurrency right on to the site.
1080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin capable to recover from Financial Crisis? on: April 18, 2021, 10:38:39 PM
The boom on bitcoin's value during the Coronavirus pandemic is nothing short of surprising, because as all assets and store of value that are there at the time, it too went down in value, even lower in March 2020 when it plummeted around $6000 but quickly bounced back anyway. Bitcoin is not your get out of poverty free card, it has it's pros and cons, you have to take the current price boom with a grain of salt.
