1061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Freicoin wallet out of sync? on: January 27, 2013, 09:21:44 PM
Hey all,

Was just doing a check up on all my wallets and noticed the Freicoin wallet is constantly saying the wallet is out of sync??

yet it has the last block being detected as being 15691 and was in the last hour.... is this just because the blocks are being generated much slower? or is there a problem with the network?

I even downloaded freicoin on a new comp and got to the same point and same situation...

anyone shed any light on this?
1062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [Pool] Coinotron - 2nd part of TRC Stratum beta tests on: January 27, 2013, 07:51:28 PM
pointed my larger miner at TRC few hours ago....

All looks good 3000 accepted shares and 103 rejected

rejected shares come through with message on Cgminer 2.10.3:
Rejected 6894e456 diff 2/1 GPU 0 Pool 0 (job not found (=stale)

Considering 2 minutes TRC blocks it is quite good.  But, actually your miner has one of the worst stales ratio.
For example crazy_rabbit had 5/3000 ratio, scrybe 1/800.
I looked into log and found several cases when pool has detected new block, sent new work to all and 1-3 sec later your miner submitted share for previous block. They all are counted as stales. Are you using some kind of proxy?

Its what I get for living on a boat and having a dongle for internet connection, most likely the cause!! but ty for the comparison.. something i am a little concerned about when i have 60Ghashs running here in a month or 2 Cool but not a lot i can do otherwise....
1063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any NMC development going on? on: January 27, 2013, 07:44:17 PM
I have some namecoins.... and i'm very interested in actually doing something with a few .bit sites..... hosting seems to be the biggest hurdle for me at the moment...

But I getting to grips with Linux and a number of github projects so will be looking into any dev work that namecoins needs when i get some time (will be a while though... lot on my plate atm)

its just a shame if what smoothie says is true and 90% of the coins are just being held by domain name squatters and people waiting for their hoard of coins to be worth something

Try and find one good .bit domain name. Let me know if you end up finding one.

As far as I am aware they are all squatted.

I bought TRC.bit no problems registering the domain... but i suppose that a testament to the newness and non-mainstreamness of terracoin atm Tongue  But i'll let u know if I find any...

Question: How is TRC any different than IXC/I0C? Besides # of coins per block, block times, diff readjustment?

well the genesis block has a different hash.... Tongue

Project forked, will check graphics tommorow. How many of them - or which ones - you want me to change?

cool Smiley

I would just say the ones with the word Armory in it... need to at least say TRC Armory or something.... basically these files:

armory16x16.ico
armory24x24.ico
etc...up to
armory_logo_white_text_h56.png
armory_logo_white_text_h72.png

and these ones:

logo_vert_black_text.png
logo_vert_black_text_analised.png
logo_vert_black_text_green.png
logo_vert_white_text.png
splashlogo.png

obviously it just needs one main logo and the variations of it are mostly sizes or any text inclusions

Latest Update: Ready for testing

please report any bugs found here please and let me know your thoughts... I will be needing a Terracoin Armory logo to at some point I think

Great job!

As soon as there is Windows install, I will download it and check known bugs, stability issues and so on. Logo? I'll make you one for free!

Yeah I appreciate that a windows build will really open this up to more users and i'm looking into this now.... should be the same as building the BTC Armory and there are some good detailed instructions to follow, just quite involved, but should be possible and then i'll post a link to the build Smiley  and free logo Cheesy that's what i'm talking about... all the logos that need updating are in the github under the "img" folder so feel free to grab those and make ur changes... if I really like them i'm sure i'll throw u some TRC for ur efforts Smiley

Good job Fuzzy with the armory wallet for TRC and gratz on the first github project  Cool

Ty SunnyKing .... working on Linux and github i now feel like a pro  Cool gonna see if i can build it for windows now that I think I replaced all references to BTC bitcoin with TRC terracoin and tried most of the functionality and it all seems to work to Smiley but i'll open a thread for people to post bugs etc that they find

Excellent! I'll try it this weekend myself! Your TRC address is the one in your signature? :-)

Yup the one in the signature and also set on the Armory under the donate button to Smiley got an addy 1TRCblahblahblahetcttc which i gonna drop in the armory to avoid any confusion... but not done this b4 and had issues so far... the pro feeling diminishing Tongue but yeah test over the weekend pls i am still tweaking slightly to... latest commit i just about to do will hook up the TRC-Armory with the www.cryptocoinexplorer.com/3750 block explorer so that all that functionality works to Smiley

1075  Economy / Goods / Re: Seeds - 420's Seeds: Organic, Heirloom Plant Seeds for BTC, LTC on: January 25, 2013, 01:15:50 PM
I'm interested in buying some seeds Smiley can u give me shipping costs to UK please... and i'd be looking to pay in LTC or PPC.... ty

PM me with quantity; shipping would prob be more than seed cost

yeah I just did a quick add up of what I would be after and don't think this is going to be viable as yeah i'd be spending more on postage than seeds and that's just stupid.... if u ever come visit the UK though let me know and bring ur seeds Cheesy  ty for now and gl in ur sales
1076  Economy / Goods / Re: UK Silver rounds on: January 25, 2013, 01:12:28 PM
UK based so UK postage make sense. Some Scottish, some Chinese (who cares anyway - I'd prefer raw scrap if I could get it!)

Can't confirm if they can be used to kill vampires. Bit pricey for lobbing at goths. You might need to forge them into bullets

My that's an array of coins Fuzzy! Would be handy to somehow get a small selection of those without the hassle of downloading software etc

you on https://vircurex.com/welcome/index?locale=en ?? you can hold all but TRC and FRC on there so that would only leave u downloading 2 clients... also I just launched a first draft of TRC Armory (if u on linux u should be able to get it to work as this is the platform i have developed the Armory on) https://github.com/FuzzyBearBTC/TRC-Armory but I only just pushed to github last night and will be testing and working on more over the weekend so prob best to stick to the client for now...

Re the coins I am just after some silver really as I tried buying through coinabul and he didn't pay customs and by the time I got the "held in customs" notice they had already shipped it back... and I asked coinabul to let me know when they are returned to him but not heard anything... so that was a waste of 8btc Sad ... so u being in UK is massive +ve for me Smiley

fancy a deal then?? what coins might u be interested in? and how much for 1 coin etc?? feel free to PM me so we can discuss further if you don't want to discuss prices in public.. or if u want me to make an offer let me know and i'll do some calculations on what coins i got and the value / ease of mining etc

they 1oz silver coins u got? or bars? or something else? got any photo's would be nice to see what they look like Smiley

sweet yeah I can forge them into bullets for the vampires should i need to Cheesy and yeah agreed think just lobbing at goths could get expensive Tongue and I might get beaten up !!
1077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRC Project Bounties - I'm funding! New Bounty! on: January 25, 2013, 02:50:31 AM
Epic Smiley its in the github and ready for testing etc... FEW WORDS OF CAUTION

1) Backup all your BTC Armory files and wallets if u use it already as this may overwrite the directory and files and I don't want u to loose ur BTC

2) Use with care I have only just got this working so please don't go throwing 1000's of coins around in it just yet till a few others have had a look to make sure I not done something drastic (this is me being over cautious but please be careful)

ok so repository is here
https://github.com/FuzzyBearBTC/TRC-Armory

I have not tested or run on windows yet so again not sure if that will work... but on LINUX i have tested the following

just run the following 5 commands...
Code:
sudo apt-get install git-core build-essential pyqt4-dev-tools swig libqtcore4 libqt4-dev python-qt4 python-dev python-twisted

git clone https://github.com/FuzzyBearBTC/TRC-Armory.git

cd ./TRC-Armory

make

python ArmoryQt.py
[code]
Let me know what you think and time to make a decision on the TRC logo for me to see if I can add to the project Tongue[/code]

here is an image of it working on my laptop

*********************NOTE***************************
If u have BTC Armory installed and have wallets etc then u will need to move the folder ".armory" off ur home directory as this causes conflicts

many thanks to etotheipi for his help and the original code Smiley

SWEET Cheesy

I got TRC ARMORY working !!!

Created a wallet, sent TRC from my Terracoin-qt wallet on one PC.... and it turned up in my Armory TRC wallet

Ok i had to strip back a lot of changes I made to get the thing stable and working again but I have created a git account and repository

https://github.com/FuzzyBearBTC/TRC-Armory

where i was gonna upload the working files I have so that I can rollback to this working version (as there a lot more changes needed to make this run alongside the BTC Armory for example) ... but i kinda new to linux and that where i been building the code, but i never done a push or commit to the git repository on linux .. only on a windows system at work ( and we only just switched to git recently too so I little new to git)... but i'll have a look as i'm sure this a simple process and explained many times Tongue  so i'll get back to u when i done it or someone tells me the (probably) one line Tongue

But i just had to tell u all and especially crazy rabbit (not just for the bounty Cheesy) but ty for keeping on and asking me on how this going... means i actually stuck it out (been through about 3 computers, no end of installs of Ubuntu, soo many frustrating problems... ) but now I am LOVING linux and have got a working first draft Cheesy

Now the fundamentals are working I can tweak all the little things and make a VERY cool app public that actually works and hopfully helps advance TRC  Smiley
1079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [Pool] Coinotron - testers needed for Stratum beta tests on: January 24, 2013, 09:16:16 PM
have u any thoughts on making ur BTC mining also running the merged mining patch and mining DEV and NMC in particular for no loss of hashrate on the BTC network? also IXC can be added as merged mined.. I'd love to see u get that up and running as u not based in the US right?? and so far only Bitparking offers such a service.  If u were able to offer this I would def point my ASIC at ur pool once it arrives, otherwise I will probably be inclined to point at Bitparking as i'm keen to support the DEVcoin and I have a vested interest in Namecoin as I am looking to see what I can do and how viable .bit URLs are.

One thing at a time i know as u just got stratum linked up, but don't think the merged mining is that hard... but might be heavy on resources idk... but i'm sure the guy at bitparking would be happy to give u some info etc
1080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [Pool] Coinotron - testers needed for Stratum beta tests on: January 24, 2013, 07:25:45 PM
Thanks a lot for testing Smiley
I'm planning to introduce Stratum step by step, starting from fastest coin available Smiley
My test miner submitted so far 102 shares, 0% stales! Meanwhile there was 42 new TRC blocks found. Such amount creates huge odds of getting stale work. Nonetheless 0% stales Smiley

Wow that is good on the stale rate!! and pleased I could help u out testing Smiley just give me a shout if u want me to help out with any other coin stratum testing
