Pretty easy (and pointless) to game. Go back in time a couple of years and set your browser to refresh every x seconds Smiley

1063  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why is reddit so popular? on: December 15, 2014, 06:41:40 PM
Since it's an endless hub for entertainment.  People who claim that it's just full of shit posts are kind of dumb and are generalizing millions of users.  Some subs are kind of dumb and full of 12 year olds like /r/funny & /r/adviceAnimals and indeed most of the default subs but there are a lot of quality subs.  The only real alternative to Reddit is 4chan, but 4chan is far less organized and "civil".

Lol what makes you think so? Just because it's been in the news doesn't mean there's any discussion of value going on there.
1064  Other / Off-topic / Re: Internet Memes: Crowdsourced Laughs or MKULTRA mind control plot? on: December 15, 2014, 05:49:03 AM
I know you guys love your conspiracies but its completely irrelevant.

Reality Check: Grumpy Cat has a higher approval rating than congress and doge is now the face of a currency and is officially more official than the founding fathers.

Internet memes are just as much a decentralized crowd developed phenomena as Bitcoin, except bitcoin fails to capture the imagination of the masses.

I think theres just too much no brainer thinking going on. All the innovators are looking for the next low hanging fruit to pluck instead of keeping their eyes on the real prize(BTC_BTC).

Except internet memes are useless and Congress is not

I didn't trash them but are you accepting bitcoin? It says PayPal only on the image in your thread.
No i accepted btc to it said in the title , i made that thread design before when i only accepted paypal and there are other people selling hacked accounts aswell why is it that only mine was taken down?

And mprep took it down https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=893795.0

Keurigs are a joke

What? whats wrong with it?

I know there are ways to circumvent it, but you can only use Keurig-branded coffee pods with the machine.
1067  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is the US under Cyber-attack? on: December 14, 2014, 11:18:55 PM
You guys realize these "attacks" don't happen like they do in movies, right?

1069  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why is reddit so popular? on: December 14, 2014, 11:17:12 PM
the interface is horrid

How so? Simple != ugly. The design of individual subreddits can also be customized.

and the amount of crap on each sub forum compared to other alternatives is just stupid
Can you provide examples of said "crap"? Subreddits are not moderated by users, not site staff. What do you consider a better alternative to Reddit?

why has it taken off like it has?

It meets the needs of its users.
1070  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you describe yourself? on: December 14, 2014, 11:12:53 PM
I don't follow

Never? Does that mean you just like leading or do you get out of the way?

I think he means he doesn't understand your reply:

I don't really, but if I did it would be in English.
1071  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will there ever be a password manager safe from keyloggers? on: December 14, 2014, 11:10:08 PM
the keyloggers that monitor copy and paste functions more than anything.

You don't need to copy and paste your password at once.
You can scrumble it copying different pieces in random order.

Malware can just grab the contents of the form when you submit.
1072  Other / Off-topic / Re: How someone can self train like special forces ? on: December 14, 2014, 11:08:56 PM
Look up what the training consists of, and do the exercises yourself? To be honest, there's no point doing it yourself.
1073  Other / Off-topic / Re: Am I the only girl on here? : ( on: December 13, 2014, 07:57:33 PM
not many here thats forsure

how do you know that?
just because no gender is registered in the profile?

http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/bitcointalk.org

Higher than average male:female ratio

I was a girl, then i would not provide that in my profile / account infomation.
incl. my age and so on.

not all girls are of this kind that they present themselves with personal information and sweet images. it is not a dating platform here...

alexa.com Huh
where did they get the average male:female ratio from?
do they use other sources as the provided profil / account information? i dont think so!
i did not find any infomation about anonymous users.
there is no male:female:anonymous raitio providet!
and now look at individual profiles. how many are without any personal information?

Alexa ranks sites based primarily on tracking a sample set of internet traffic—users of its toolbar

Alexa is not very accurate, but it's a decent estimation of a site's traffic and demographics. The statistics they provide would cover all visitors - both those with and without accounts.

1077  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is a service lots of people are in need of but dont currently have? on: December 13, 2014, 06:52:52 PM
What I have not seen is more shopping cart interfaces for cryptocurrencies and that is something that merchants definitely need because so far you can only really do it through payment processors which can obviously get taken down and so on, I would love to see a real standalone script that you can just upload to your site without have to rely on any third party APIs from exchanges and such just enter in the product price in Bitcoin and then upload your file.

Already possible. Just run bitcoin-qt on another server.
1078  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Selling 7 Year Old Reddit Account! Buy it Before its Gone! on: December 13, 2014, 06:35:43 PM
Is an older Reddit account better than a new one?
Whats the difference

No difference except for date on profile, which doesn't matter at all
