10662  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pope Francis declares evolution and Big Bang theory are real. on: November 18, 2014, 08:09:41 AM
I think that current Pope just realized what is obvious, that evolution and Big Bang doesn't contradict Bible and God's work.
It's pity that they needed such long time for such simple step.
10663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Compared to Bitcoin, gold doesn't seem real... on: November 18, 2014, 07:58:16 AM
In my opinion, gold has, at the moment, more stable price and value in market, and much more trust in the public.
Bitcoin still have to prove itself, and become mainstream, so that other people consider seriously to replace their gold with bitcoin.
It's still long way for bitcoin to go...

10665  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can you quit your job tomorrow and be happy? on: November 17, 2014, 08:21:37 PM
I will surely be very happy when I quit my job.
I don't like my job, a lot working hours, very low salary etc.
But... until I find other source of income, I have no choice but to continue to work for the current company.
With Bitcoin, I hope this will change soon Smiley
10666  Other / Off-topic / Re: General Football Discussion on: November 16, 2014, 06:06:53 PM
Tonight, just in a hour, Italy and Croatia will play.
B team of Croatia played very well with Argentina a few days ago.
I'm very interested now how A team of Croatia will play with Italy.
Italy will play without a few very important players so I think that Croatia have very good chance for good result.
10667  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much sleep do you get? on: November 15, 2014, 07:32:27 PM
It depends on my working schedule.
If I don't work 7-8 hours, if I have to work, 0 hours unfortunately Sad

I don't like selfish people.
I don't like to see hatred, arrogance, negativity etc.
Unfortunately, it seems that we can't avoid it.
10670  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you earn BTC? on: November 14, 2014, 01:44:14 PM
Right now I earn BTC by joining signature campaigns in this forum, under market/services.

10672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IS Bitcoin Safe on: November 13, 2014, 09:58:38 AM
Safe is rather generic.

Are transactions secure?  Yes, it certainly looks like it as in 5 years this still is working flawlessly.
Are your bitcoins safe if you keep your private key secure?  Yes, it looks safe so far.  The public/private key encryption used and other security measures seems to have stood up to 5 years of hacking attempts and still no obvious exploits to steal funds via the network.  There are multiple layers of security that would need to be compromised for the coins to be moveable by the non-owner, each layer in itself has never been broken yet that I'm aware of.
Is the supply really limited to keep the value safe?  Yes, the supply is defined by the protocol which everyone follows so is very predictable.
Are your coins safe on your PC?  Yes and No.  If anyone gets your private key they can take the funds.  The private key is usually held on your PC or on a website if you use an exchange.  Coins held by someone else are not safe as MtGox demonstrated.  Coins on your PC must make sure you don't expose your private key to viruses/malware/etc.. For that reason any 'savings' of bitcoin should probably be moved offline to be very secure the private key is kept secure.
Is the exchange rate safe?  No, not yet, it's volatile and will remain volatile but as the mining rewards decrease and adoption and awareness increases this volatility should reduce.

So overall, yes Bitcoin itself is safe on the caveat you are careful about your private keys.

Very good explanations, thank you!
In reality, I don't think that anything on Internet can be 100 % safe.
We can witness this every day (even banks have security problems online), but at least we can use regularly all possible ways to protect ourselves on Internet, be careful what we do and where we do, and we will be safe 99,99 %.

10673  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's everyone's day job? on: November 12, 2014, 09:33:39 PM

10674  Other / Off-topic / Re: General Football Discussion on: November 11, 2014, 08:47:33 AM

Really? Why? If they were playing against San Marino or Luxembourg I can understand they will play with reserves, but against Argentina as well?

Because 4 days later Croatia has important qualification game against Italy and can't risk any injury of actual first team member. This friendly is kind of Šuker's greed for money and it really was't necessary.

Yes, this was really stupid decision by our president Suker, to play with 2 so strong teams, Italy and Argentina, just in a few days.
If Croatia lose to Argentina by a bigger margin, which is not impossible, and even it is very likely, this will negatively affect the atmosphere in the team before a very important match with Italy.
Very stupid!
10675  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the best thing you've ever done in life? on: November 10, 2014, 04:05:32 PM

The best decision in my life!
10676  Other / Off-topic / Re: Live today forget tomorrow. on: November 09, 2014, 10:42:11 AM
Live life today forget tomorrow it may never come.

Life will not wait for tomorrow. As we go on today life tomorrow will not wait for todays mistakes or regrets.

Live life to the FULLEST don't put it off until tomorrow. Spare NO moment for it might be your last.

I would say that such lifestyle will not make you happy.
True, eternal happiness, comes through relationships, with your parents, wife, children, friends and develop over time.
Material things and fun, they come and pass very quickly, and bring you just temporary happiness but when it finish, you feel empty again.
Give and invest to others and others will invest in you, their love, friendship, care, etc.

10677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Search for Satoshi on: November 09, 2014, 10:26:17 AM
Genuinely wish I had time to read it, I'm so busy these days Sad

Anyone have a link to a summary or review?

One of the first places where Satoshi Nakamoto mentioned bitcoin was at the P2PFoundation.ning.com. When you register there, you have to give your birthdate. Satoshi gave April 5th 1975.

April 5th was one of the most significant dates in history. On that day in 1933, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 6102, which made it illegal for American citizens to own gold.

So what happened in 1975?

1975 was the year it became legal for American citizens to own gold again.

Such is Satoshi’s meticulousness and his knowledge of monetary history, I’m sure this is no coincidence.

By combining the two dates – April 5th and 1975 – he gives himself a credible age and manages a dig at what some regard as one of the US government’s most unconstitutional actions of the past century.

Very interesting info, thank you for sharing Smiley
So, it's obvious that Satoshi really wanted to give financial freedom and independence to the regular people.
His idea is really great and hopefully, over time, bitcoin will replace other currencies and become mainstream.
The search for satoshi is, in fact, search for financial freedom from the government.

10678  Other / Off-topic / Re: how to love yourself on: November 08, 2014, 07:37:45 PM
Look at yourself as God's child, unique person in the world.
Be aware that your Creator, God, love you and that your parents love you to.
Nobody is perfect, so just try to do your best in life, love others as much as you can and you will start to feel love from others, and this will eventually help you to love yourself.
