10781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are countries now copying bitcoin to create their own digital currency ? on: October 17, 2017, 10:52:17 PM
Seems countries are now meditating  in creating their own digital currency just like bitcoin which is now used by millions of people daily as a payment option and investment purposes.

Yesterday we reported on how Sweden is considering it’s digital currency because of the massive decline in usage of the bank notes by the citizens.

Now in a fresh article , japan is now reportedly considering its own digital currency which is said to be called J-Coin and is intended to streamline the financial ecosystem.

Read More=> https://zycrypto.com/countries-now-copying-bitcoin-create-digital-currency/

I think they want to create their own digital currency not to rival bitcoin, but to see if this will be as successful as bitcoin. Cryptocurrency suddenly went crazy this year specially bitcoin and the government seeing this as a opportunity, contemplate on creating this own and see if it will be successful, bringing them more money. Its nothing more like bank notes of mutual funds they just recreate it in a different form. But then again, we haven't seen any country become successful with their own digital currency. Citizens wants the decentralized bitcoin, not something that is being control by the government.
10782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Do Existing Companies run ICO? on: October 17, 2017, 10:32:03 PM
Lately, we have seen a mass inflow of startups into the cryptocurrency world, running ICOs as a way of generating capital. However, I have also noticed that some existing companies are beginning to launch their own ICOs.
My question is, why do these companies run ICO? Is there any need for it actually? Why don't they use bitcoin if they want to enter the cryptocurrency world?

Its obviously to raise more funds for their company. Maybe they have come up with a new project and they need fundings and the best way to raised more funds is through ICO. Even gambling sites, who have a lot of funds also go to this route. So its normal and it doesn't impact the credibility of their company.

And currently, cryptocurrency is on the boom right now and people are going crazy on cryptos. So if you have a good roadmap and new unique ideas to add to your existing company, then ICO is the best way to get your project out on the public and generate investment on it.
10783  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-16] Bitcoin is ‘Fast, near Real-Time and Convenient’: Philippines on: October 17, 2017, 01:56:23 PM
I cannot not agree with the subject statement! This virtual currency has changed and is continually changing the lives of others because of its accessibility and real-time money conversion! Not only that, its conversion as contrasted to Philippine Peso is really high. Thus, Bitcoin earners in the Philippines really make good money. Some, in fact, rely on it for their daily needs and sustenance. Anyhow what matters is that Bitcoins serve its purpose in terms of helping others earn a comfortable living as long as these people know the mechanics.

Specially with a 3rd world country like the Philippines, it really helps a lot of students and even those who have a regular job to just rely on bitcoin and survived and bring foods in the table. As you can see, the bitcoin Philippine community is  very much alive and really do appreciate what they can get out of bitcoin and crypto. They are really bitcoin friendly country, although not as big as Japan or South Korea, Philippines is making a significant headway in terms of bitcoin usage and acceptance.
10784  Economy / Speculation / Re: WHAT NEXT TO CRYPTO CURRENCY? on: October 17, 2017, 01:41:09 PM
While reading some of the posts and speculation if bitcoin will really make fiat currency disappear. I remembered a movie that I watched before about a cashless society where in they are paid time to live. And the main currency that they are using is that time.

Is this somewhat the same as crypto currency or will this be the future of crypto currency?  Smiley Smiley

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1637688/

As much as we want to have a cashless society, I think we are not closure to its actual implementation and it will take more years before we can see it happening. And I doubt that this will be the future of cryptocurrency. This is too far fetched for me. I haven't seen the movie yet but based on the summary you put, this is just pure science fiction for me.

Again, as much as I would like to have cashless society, we may never see it in our lifetime, although there have been countries like Sweden or Switzerland if I'm not mistaken who has been trying to introduce it to their society. But I don't know if this will be a success or a total failure.
10785  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you Do When You Run Out of Money to BUY During Such a Great Opportunity? on: October 17, 2017, 01:02:11 PM
be patient at all times, and wait for my turn   Smiley
May be this can be a big factor for the people who are like me because many times I seen  that when we need really a big amount of money for the investment then we don't have but when we came across that condition when we have and have opportunities to make better profit than may be our decision get changed in that both cases .
Here my big stretagy is to wait until get a perfect timing for the investment , most of the times I wait with my btc in my wallet and then hit the investment directly to make profit in short time , Because I seen that many times New new coins entered but few coins gets perfectly progress due to the coin's technology and economical support .

What can you do if you don't have the funds?

Its really disappointing but I guess you really have to wait for the turn and not regret unable to buy when the opportunity is there. Believed that another better opportunity will rise again and this time you are ready and have the necessary funds to buy in those dips. Casuals investors like most of us here are always in this situation. And this dilemma makes you frustrated. However, it will also bring the best side of you because all you can do is wait and be patience and not rush and borrowed from someone just to join the ride. Patience is a virtue just like they said, so if you have this, I'm sure you are on the way to become successful in trading.
10786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: why myetherwallet security not strong on: October 16, 2017, 12:17:28 PM
its very safe, you just need to use it wisely
put it on air gapped computer and make offline transactions
thats it....

Exactly, you can used it to make new wallets offline and store your all your pertinent details like private key and password to a safe location. Lucky for me I haven't been hacked or something because I'm very careful. And bookmark the site as well because if you just type it in your browser maybe one or two letters will cause you to go to a phishing site that will took all your ETH and tokens. Again, its our responsibility to protect our wallet, a lot of hackers have been prying on cryptocurrency now because their is big money involved. Be safe everyone.
10787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker stole $31M of Ether. Can this happen again? on: October 16, 2017, 11:51:22 AM
Quote
To prevent the hacker from robbing any more banks, the white-hats wrote software to rob all of the remaining banks in the world. Once the money was safely stolen, they began the process of returning the funds to their respective account holders. The people who had their money saved by this heroic feat are now in the process of retrieving their funds.

kudos to the good guys -- "white-hat hackers"!!  Kiss Kiss

Yup, the white hackers seeing the vulnerabilities as well, moved all the funds to a safe location. However, the black hackers was already stolen a huge chuck of the money already.

Its quite possible that it will happen again. On the internet everyone is vulnerable and can be a victim of a hacker. Since now scams and hacks are becoming more and more sophisticated, there is a high chance that we will read about this kind of stories all the time.

As much as we are evolving this technology, hackers as well are doing everything to find exploits and vulnerabilities so I think it could happen once again. Its really sad though to see hackers stealing money out of the unsuspecting victim. That's why its very important to patch things up before some hackers find the weakness and steal our money.
10788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin cash keep loosing value or will go up again ? on: October 16, 2017, 11:31:29 AM
I bought it at 530 so im loosing money at.the moment my questoon is will it go up to  this value again or higher ?

Sorry to break the bubble but I think it will take longer before you can at least recover your losses here. Bitcoin Cash didn't gain enough traction from the community that's why the price didn't took off as expected. Why did you buy Bitcoin Cash anyway? Do you believed about that coin?

I think the community has spoken and they don't like another "clone" coin that's why the price has been slumping lately. And there is the upcoming Bitcoin Gold as well, which I think can affect the price of BCH in a negative way. Get out and stick to bitcoin or any other altcoins like ETH, NEO or LTC.
10789  Economy / Speculation / Re: $6000 comming through on: October 16, 2017, 11:00:29 AM
I just wish that the segwit will not cause bitcoin to crashed and reach $2800 again, its pretty nice seeing how bitcoin increase rapidly in just few weeks but I come to think if this is just a preparation for a sudden dump in the price of bitcoin. Let's see what's gonna happen in couple of days.

The crash that caused bitcoin to reach $2800 is the Chinese banning and subsequent negative news from them. What sudden dump are you seeing? This is just normal to see minor correction. If they dump their coins, they will lose their chance to get free money, so it doesn't make sense to do that today. You have to wait on Oct. 26 to know if there are really dumping. The only dumps that's gonna happen is bitcoin gold, because investors will likely not to support it. They are all in for the free money and dump it and buy more bitcoins. Don't be paranoid dude.
10790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be hacked? on: October 16, 2017, 10:17:58 AM
I love the concept of Bitcoin. I believe the Internet will redefine currency as we know it.  I hope this helps the Bitcoin community to develop a currency that's really resilient to attacks.

But, is it possible?

Can you give us one scenario that bitcoin has been attacked before?

Blockchain, the underlying technology behind bitcoin has no history of such attacks, although it has been spammed before causing the network to clogged down a little. And with regards to bitcoin wallet, its your own responsibility to protect it against hackers, like having strong passwords, 2FA and secure your private keys. I hope you can research first before posting here because it looks like you don't have a clue what bitcoin/blockchain is.
10791  Economy / Services / Re: ⛏ Ice Rock Mining Signature & Avatar Campaign ⛏ [HUGE PAYMENTS] on: October 12, 2017, 12:20:05 PM
sorry for the late confirmation but I have received it already. Thanks Atriz.
10792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin cash or Bitcoin gold? on: October 09, 2017, 11:29:05 PM
I'll still stick with the original bitcoin. The only good thing is that it can be mined with GPU computers as opposed to Bitcoin Cash which the Chinese still monopolize. So Bitcoin Gold  can keep the mining process more decentralized. However, the new network doesn't have protection for replay attack. So that's a lot of doubt around Bitcoin Gold is they will be successful in the future. So not to make things complicated on my end, I will just stick to bitcoin until I see either one of the two gain traction from the community(which I doubt). Let's see how will this evolved when everything settles after Oct. 25.
10793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to buy ETH now? on: October 09, 2017, 10:50:44 PM
I sold most of my ETH last night and bought some BTC.  I needed to fix my coin allocation anyways.  That said, I wouldn't buy ETH right now.  I wouldn't put any money in at this moment, but if I did, it would be into BTC.

I'm a little fish so any trades were minimal fwiw.
Are you expecting to get the free bitcoin gold in the future? it seems that become true, you are converting all of your ethereum into the bitcoin itself. And i may think about this will have a relationship with bitcoin fork.

Of course, it really makes sense to dump ETH now and put it all on bitcoin because of the upcoming HF which you will get free coins. And you will see that bitcoin has rise to $4800. If I'm going to ETH, I wouldn't go with the current price. Its still high and I will wait for it to floor just a couple of days to HF. Maybe around $200-$250 is a good buying point. As of now, its not. Altcoin market is bleeding, nothing you can do as traders would likely putting money in bitcoin. Sp I'll just wait for a few more days and see if the market still move sideways and at the price range that I stated was meet, then I will definitely buy more ETH.

Trust summary for RW-Stott

This user recently woke up from a long period of inactivity.

Wouldn't trust as most likely this account has been hacked. He is offering good pay without escrow is another red flag. Just be careful and don't cry if you didn't get paid.
10795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it right time to Buy Alts? on: October 09, 2017, 10:32:17 PM
guys...alts are bleeding ? great discounts going on, which are tempting ...but since btc gold on oct 25th and later nov first week btc hardfork coming...so ppl move their stash from alts to btc to get free money as result of fork.... so is it right time to jump in or wait few more weeks and buy right before fork? share your thoughts

Too tempting not to buy alts now because the market is bleeding. However, the questions is what coins are best to get for a discounted price? You don't want to get trap once Oct 25 is completed and we don't know if alt traders will go back to the ecosystem. So I would rather wait until everything settles on the bitcoin market before I decide to go back to altcoin. Or I'll just wait until a couple of days and buy at the last minute to really get the floor price of my target altcoin.  Grin. Just maybe. Grin
10796  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Back to 5000 Dollars ? on: October 09, 2017, 10:12:37 PM
the probability of hitting Bitcoin price again at 5000 dollars is it close enough to hit this coming week ?
It really is. Bitcoin's market value is increasing continuously right now. It is now on 4400$ and achieving a market value of 5000$ by the end of this month or by this week has a huge possibility. Since the hardfork is approaching, it will be in favor for Bitcoin if it will be able to reach 5000 before the hardfork even if sudden backdrops are expected.

It's gonna be a new ATH this coming week guys. The price is around $4800-$4900 so the possibility to hit $5000 is very possible.. So let's just continue to hodl. As a effect, altcoin is market is bleeding because altcoin traders moved their funds to bitcoin. Let's go and try to hit by end of the week and see where it goes until the looming hard fork. And please let's forgot about China, they have nothing to do with the increase of the recent price. Goldman Sach rumor that they might put up a trading platform for bitcoin might have also contributed to the great rally we are seeing today.
10797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: ERC20 tokens on Myetherwallet on: October 08, 2017, 12:15:07 PM

I got that we can see the token on MEW if we add the custom token before receiving from them. Can we able to add the custom token and see the coins on MEW AFTER receiving the coins from them?
If not how can we send the coins to other exchanges?

You need to customized your MEW to see your tokens. See below customized data that you need.

Contract:
Symbol:
Decimal:

Now, if you received your token and see it in your MEW, you need to register to the exchange that the token will be listed. Then send you tokens to that exchanges. But you need to deposit ETH on your MEW first so that you have gas. Gas is like a fee that you need to pay in bitcoins. If you do not have ETH, then you can't send it to that exchanges.
10798  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature Campaigns: New Rule Suggestion on: October 08, 2017, 11:41:15 AM
I agree with user dothebeats minds above. There is no reason to rush signature campaign managers just to prevent free advertising of company. Anyway, mostly campaign managers accept or deny users quite fast. You should understand that posting with having paid signature is not a job, so, you will not loose anything if you won't get paid for some posts.
P.S. It's a bit fun to see users who always jumping through campaigns when they notice higher paying campaign started. They leaving current their campaign in middle of round and if they not accepted to higher paying campaign, they back to their current campaign again. I think that users have to show a little loaylty to company that they are advertising and not behave like a bitches.

P.S. And there was one participant who have been caught jumping from one campaign to another and then went back when we was rejected. Unfortunately, he was caught and subsequently get the red tag. And I totally agree with you all, this rule show not be implemented. Its still up to the campaign manager. And we can't really force they to apply it to their campaign. If you are rejected then something must be wrong with your posting or posting history.
10799  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you check Bitcoin price everyday? on: October 08, 2017, 11:12:22 AM
Of course we all do. I want to check what is the current price and see if its going up or going down. You want to see if you're investing is doing good or not. And when its down, I look for the reasons why. Is there a negative news around? And I also buy when the price is down as well. So its really important for most of us to really check and be updated on the current price. I usually goes to preev.com or epsilon.one.
10800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When the bounty campaign is weak, but the ICO is successful on: October 07, 2017, 07:29:37 PM
Hi guys,

Perhaps you have encountered situations when some projects have a weak or completely failed bounty campaign, but ultimately they hold a successful ICO. Why is this happening?

For example, the project Ambrosus with whom I happened to deal. In the comments to the bounty campaign there are complaints that nothing can be understood in the campaign rules. And there really is not as usual. Probably therefore the number of participants in the signature campaign, Twitter and other programs is minimal, but the project has already raised more than 100000 ETH. Is this an exception or is it so often?

Ok here is the thing. The bounty has minimal participants but it has raised a lot of funds. I think I would join that campaign, Why? because you are very lucky that the tokens will be divided among few participants. So as a result each one of you will get a lot of tokens. As compare to a bounty that has a lot of participants but if you are going to divide them it will result to like .010 cents or less per token. Did you get the idea?

The fact is that in this campaign everything is fixed and based on the Swiss franc, and not divided as usual among the participants. And the conditions are good enough. In particular, in the social media campaign.

This maybe one of the factors that why the project didn't get enough traction from the community. And you also said that the rules are not clear, hunters here wants the bounty to be divided and its fixed then there is really a disconnect from the community.

Or maybe there are a lot of hype around this project before the actual ICO that's why they got huge investments from the very beginning. I do think that pre-Marketing has something to contribute to the success eventhough the bounty campaigns has little participants.
