10781  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price drop? on: October 19, 2017, 12:04:08 AM
Is there any reason why the btc price is dropping that much today? Are people scared by the hard fork or why is it dropping?
We can't expect bitcoin price to keep rising every day?It's simple some people are cashing out their profits but my prediction is price will soon hit 6K$ before upcoming BGold hardfork.Whales always benefit from week hands and nothing new is happening today.It's same thing and other alts are dropping too because they are too dependent on bitcoin price. Smiley

Yes, it is not possible for the price to just continue rising. That's just crazy. It's normal for the price to go down a bit every now and then. This is why there are panic sellers. When there's a small price drop, some people lose their mind and sell or dump their coins in an instant because of the fear of losing their money. We shouldn't worry about this too much. Over the year, the bitcoin price has experienced numerous fluctuations yet its upward trending.

I'm not sure what to expect by the time the fork comes. It's possible to go up just days before the hard fork, but it may not break $6000 just yet.
Its just normal movement of the price of bitcoin because there are people are satisfied what is the price and there are people are afraid what will happen after the fork since the first fork of bitcoin is successful why we need to be afraid?
I still believe that those who are selling bitcoin are those people who are bought bitcoin in cheap price or 3k level or those people are whales.. but i think it will be the last drop and people will invest more before the fork..

I think its all over. Bitcoin has recovered quickly and bounced back to $5500 and the rally is still going on. With that said, I think it will moved on another upward trend after yesterday's consolidation. We may see that the price could really go higher than $6000 now. I'm very positive that after this ensuing price correction, we are heading to new ATH leading to the day of the hard fork. Will continue to hodl and wait for my prediction to happen.  Grin
10782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin Earning Campaigns on: October 18, 2017, 08:29:15 AM
I see I'm a new member, so it would be hard to earn bitcoin because nobody enrolls new members in campaigns. But are there any altcoin campaigns here from where I can earn altcoins?
Is there a list of altcoin signature and social media campaigns?

I myself has not been any to a altcoin bounty campaign but I heard a lot of news saying that some of them have really gotten a good pay of out it. I think someone already posted the link, so you better check it out. Just be sure that you have read all the rules on the campaigns and usually it requires for you to have a ETH wallet so I recommend myetherwallet. But its your responsibility to take care of your password and your private keys. Goodluck to you and hope you find campaign that will suit your rank.
10783  Economy / Speculation / Re: when will bitcoin price struggle to breach $6000? on: October 18, 2017, 07:39:46 AM
$5645.72 #bitstamp;
$5661.96 #GDAX;
$5654.80 #gemini;
$5655.00 #kraken;
$5642.49 #hitbtc;
$5695.34 #cex;
when will bitcoin price struggle to breach $6000?

This is what you call psychological barrier. Investors, traders, and even casuals can't resist the temptation to sell their bitcoin right now and cash it out because the price is too high. That's why lately you will see wild swings and not actually getting to $6000. The price is retreating today, going to $5300 so that's about $700 now from $6000. But don't worry we will finally reach that again and can be sustain. Specially is only a few a week before Oct. 25 and as we get closer to that date, $6000 will be touch then.
10784  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chart of the Day | Bitcoin's price correcting to $5500 on: October 18, 2017, 07:18:52 AM
Its not that they are not supportive about this bullish market. People are just cashing out and taking profits. I think this is normal and we can say that we have already overcome the $5000 psychological barrier. And now $6000 is new one. Really hard now to sell and take profits specially when the price peak at $6000 and trading at a stable price of $5600-$5700. So the dip is nothing significant, the fork is still far and its the main driving for this pump. Once we get closer the price will surely rise once more. Getting closer to $6000-$6500.

The people are really stupid,if they are cashing out profits right now.The market has the potential to reach 7000 USD before 25 October.If they are selling now,they will have to buy expensive bitcoins later.
Perhaps they are waiting for the bitcoin price to go down after the Bitcoin gold hard fork.
I don`t believe that this will happen.
You would not want to really call them stupid as everyone is just trying to play their cards the way they deem fit to play it. However, one thing is for sure, with the little correction we have seen and a long term on at least $5500, anything below $5300 may bring it lower and trust, anything that makes it hit $6000 above is sure taking it higher. So, in a way, they are just trying to play their cards to see what happens while remaining on the edge.

Correct, they are not stupid, actually they are just wise on cashing it out and shifting their money to alts now then make another move to sell again and back to bitcoin. The price is going down as I type this message, around $5300 and there are large sell orders. But if others are selling, then there are a group of investors willing to buy at this dip to enter the market and join the hype train. Its a cycle. If you know you can make quick money by selling your bitcoin today and buying later then its not stupidity.
10785  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-06-23] Bitcoin accepted here: The tiny family restaurant in India that’s e on: October 18, 2017, 06:56:58 AM
It was posted at June and I really do want to have updates on what has been the profits or the customers reaction on this concepts. I have an information about the improvement of number of Indian who invest and has big impact in the rally of increase this week as they doubled they’re join in investors. We all know how fast they’re adaptation to technology is and bitcoin/cryptocurrency works really good for them.

Same here, its been months now and I'm sure all of us is curious as to what happened to the restaurant. Are they still operational and accepting bitcoin as payment? Specially India has lifted its demonetization program, I'm sure it has impact to the flow of money. There's also another thread here asking for any restaurant that accepts bitcoin. I'm sure we can point them out to one of restaurant in India that accepts bitcoin as payment. Though we need to at least get the latest news as how the restaurant is doing now.
10786  Economy / Economics / Re: DON'T DO PANIC SELLING !!! on: October 18, 2017, 03:17:52 AM
Keep calm and HODL mate Smiley
Holding is something far better option than that of panic selling. There is no pint of selling your coins at less price which will result in nothing else but huge loss. The one who is going for panic selling is going to lose his very own money with his very own hands. Patience is the only key which can help you in such kind of situation.
Yes holding bitcoin is always is a  good decision, through holding habit you can prevent yourself from a big long, In fact when panic selling started in the market we see that there become uncertainty in the market.
It won't always be a good decision, especially if you've bought at $5000 and the price starts falling rapidly from $5400 for instance. It's a great investment for long term holding, but most people panic in fear of losing their funds without thinking that in a few weeks or months, the price could be a lot higher. We've all been in that position.

Bitcoin right now, with the current high price is really for long term investments. Is really hard to do daily short because of the volatility. If you really want to do daily trading, much better to go to altcoins.

And as for the panic, newcomers on the market is the first one to really sell their coins once they see the price is dropping. They don't know what is going on and the initial reaction is to just sell everything and get out of the market before losing their money. But the case should be hodling on events of a price crash. But once bitcoin has rebounded, you will thank yourself for not panicking and selling your bitcoin afterall.
10787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why all the freakout about Bitcoin's price? on: October 18, 2017, 02:37:48 AM
We can’t blame anyone about it, it is mostly a human nature. Good for you, that you do have that patience and tolerance to this kind of scenario. Not monitoring much on the market price might help to start with but every person has a tendency of being negativity in things where we spend out money are.

Yes, its just human nature to freak about something you don't have total control. And as much as you like to it let go higher, sometimes it would go other way around. But I can't help it, I want to monitor the price to see how my investing is doing. But as I gained experienced already, I'm not that affected with a sudden shift if price because I'm in the long term side of it. Though it was scary during last month's crash, but I remain patience and didn't to one sell of my bitcoins. Look at the current price, its going red, I'm sure there are investors here freaking out because the price is down although minimal.
10788  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-18] Smart Regulation Could Make Russia Next Major Bitcoin Market on: October 18, 2017, 02:16:18 AM
I highly doubt that Russia will be the next major bitcoin market. How can they be when they hate cryptocurrency? That's why we have to take everything with a grain of salt everything that is coming from Russia.

This cryptoruble or whatever it's been called is a sign that they don't want to have bitcoin or Ethereum or any other crypto. They want to have their own crypto's that is centralizes and imposing high taxes on it. And I also high doubt that it will gain acceptance in Russia as well. This is a bad more for them, but what can we expect something from a government who runs with a hammer fist?
10789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When bitcoin price goes up,altcoins prices goes up too? on: October 17, 2017, 11:47:04 PM
I am not a specialist in crypto structures,but when bitcoin price goes up,altcoins prices goes up too after unknown time or not Huh

Because always when btc rises,altcoins to started dropped down.

I think there's no direct correlation however, as in the case today, altcoin is slumping because people are selling them to get free coins. There are a lot of instances in the past, but there also history when both markets really enjoy a price surge. So its not same to assumed that they have some kind of correlation. Let's wait after Oct. 25, and observed that once their is a dump on bitcoin, altcoin should rise. Though this market is really hard to predict.
10790  Economy / Speculation / Re: This family bet it all on Bitcoin on: October 17, 2017, 11:12:29 PM
https://www.cnbc.com/2017/10/17/this-family-bet-it-all-on-bitcoin.html

They sold everything to buy bitcoin and are living in campsites, waiting to become millionaires.

Its really a big gamble that this family has to make. They are betting that by year 2020, they will be millionaires. Just like all of us here, we want to be rich with bitcoin. But they have taken it to a different level. On must to think logically because its 2-3 years from now and how do his family survived then? I guess bitcoin has affected and changed a lot of people's mind but somehow, you should only invest what you can afford to lose. This family invested everything and chances are that they won't be living normally and have to wait till their gamble pays off.
10791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are countries now copying bitcoin to create their own digital currency ? on: October 17, 2017, 10:52:17 PM
Seems countries are now meditating  in creating their own digital currency just like bitcoin which is now used by millions of people daily as a payment option and investment purposes.

Yesterday we reported on how Sweden is considering it’s digital currency because of the massive decline in usage of the bank notes by the citizens.

Now in a fresh article , japan is now reportedly considering its own digital currency which is said to be called J-Coin and is intended to streamline the financial ecosystem.

Read More=> https://zycrypto.com/countries-now-copying-bitcoin-create-digital-currency/

I think they want to create their own digital currency not to rival bitcoin, but to see if this will be as successful as bitcoin. Cryptocurrency suddenly went crazy this year specially bitcoin and the government seeing this as a opportunity, contemplate on creating this own and see if it will be successful, bringing them more money. Its nothing more like bank notes of mutual funds they just recreate it in a different form. But then again, we haven't seen any country become successful with their own digital currency. Citizens wants the decentralized bitcoin, not something that is being control by the government.
10792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Do Existing Companies run ICO? on: October 17, 2017, 10:32:03 PM
Lately, we have seen a mass inflow of startups into the cryptocurrency world, running ICOs as a way of generating capital. However, I have also noticed that some existing companies are beginning to launch their own ICOs.
My question is, why do these companies run ICO? Is there any need for it actually? Why don't they use bitcoin if they want to enter the cryptocurrency world?

Its obviously to raise more funds for their company. Maybe they have come up with a new project and they need fundings and the best way to raised more funds is through ICO. Even gambling sites, who have a lot of funds also go to this route. So its normal and it doesn't impact the credibility of their company.

And currently, cryptocurrency is on the boom right now and people are going crazy on cryptos. So if you have a good roadmap and new unique ideas to add to your existing company, then ICO is the best way to get your project out on the public and generate investment on it.
10793  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-16] Bitcoin is ‘Fast, near Real-Time and Convenient’: Philippines on: October 17, 2017, 01:56:23 PM
I cannot not agree with the subject statement! This virtual currency has changed and is continually changing the lives of others because of its accessibility and real-time money conversion! Not only that, its conversion as contrasted to Philippine Peso is really high. Thus, Bitcoin earners in the Philippines really make good money. Some, in fact, rely on it for their daily needs and sustenance. Anyhow what matters is that Bitcoins serve its purpose in terms of helping others earn a comfortable living as long as these people know the mechanics.

Specially with a 3rd world country like the Philippines, it really helps a lot of students and even those who have a regular job to just rely on bitcoin and survived and bring foods in the table. As you can see, the bitcoin Philippine community is  very much alive and really do appreciate what they can get out of bitcoin and crypto. They are really bitcoin friendly country, although not as big as Japan or South Korea, Philippines is making a significant headway in terms of bitcoin usage and acceptance.
10794  Economy / Speculation / Re: WHAT NEXT TO CRYPTO CURRENCY? on: October 17, 2017, 01:41:09 PM
While reading some of the posts and speculation if bitcoin will really make fiat currency disappear. I remembered a movie that I watched before about a cashless society where in they are paid time to live. And the main currency that they are using is that time.

Is this somewhat the same as crypto currency or will this be the future of crypto currency?  Smiley Smiley

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1637688/

As much as we want to have a cashless society, I think we are not closure to its actual implementation and it will take more years before we can see it happening. And I doubt that this will be the future of cryptocurrency. This is too far fetched for me. I haven't seen the movie yet but based on the summary you put, this is just pure science fiction for me.

Again, as much as I would like to have cashless society, we may never see it in our lifetime, although there have been countries like Sweden or Switzerland if I'm not mistaken who has been trying to introduce it to their society. But I don't know if this will be a success or a total failure.
10795  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you Do When You Run Out of Money to BUY During Such a Great Opportunity? on: October 17, 2017, 01:02:11 PM
be patient at all times, and wait for my turn   Smiley
May be this can be a big factor for the people who are like me because many times I seen  that when we need really a big amount of money for the investment then we don't have but when we came across that condition when we have and have opportunities to make better profit than may be our decision get changed in that both cases .
Here my big stretagy is to wait until get a perfect timing for the investment , most of the times I wait with my btc in my wallet and then hit the investment directly to make profit in short time , Because I seen that many times New new coins entered but few coins gets perfectly progress due to the coin's technology and economical support .

What can you do if you don't have the funds?

Its really disappointing but I guess you really have to wait for the turn and not regret unable to buy when the opportunity is there. Believed that another better opportunity will rise again and this time you are ready and have the necessary funds to buy in those dips. Casuals investors like most of us here are always in this situation. And this dilemma makes you frustrated. However, it will also bring the best side of you because all you can do is wait and be patience and not rush and borrowed from someone just to join the ride. Patience is a virtue just like they said, so if you have this, I'm sure you are on the way to become successful in trading.
10796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: why myetherwallet security not strong on: October 16, 2017, 12:17:28 PM
its very safe, you just need to use it wisely
put it on air gapped computer and make offline transactions
thats it....

Exactly, you can used it to make new wallets offline and store your all your pertinent details like private key and password to a safe location. Lucky for me I haven't been hacked or something because I'm very careful. And bookmark the site as well because if you just type it in your browser maybe one or two letters will cause you to go to a phishing site that will took all your ETH and tokens. Again, its our responsibility to protect our wallet, a lot of hackers have been prying on cryptocurrency now because their is big money involved. Be safe everyone.
10797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker stole $31M of Ether. Can this happen again? on: October 16, 2017, 11:51:22 AM
Quote
To prevent the hacker from robbing any more banks, the white-hats wrote software to rob all of the remaining banks in the world. Once the money was safely stolen, they began the process of returning the funds to their respective account holders. The people who had their money saved by this heroic feat are now in the process of retrieving their funds.

kudos to the good guys -- "white-hat hackers"!!  Kiss Kiss

Yup, the white hackers seeing the vulnerabilities as well, moved all the funds to a safe location. However, the black hackers was already stolen a huge chuck of the money already.

Its quite possible that it will happen again. On the internet everyone is vulnerable and can be a victim of a hacker. Since now scams and hacks are becoming more and more sophisticated, there is a high chance that we will read about this kind of stories all the time.

As much as we are evolving this technology, hackers as well are doing everything to find exploits and vulnerabilities so I think it could happen once again. Its really sad though to see hackers stealing money out of the unsuspecting victim. That's why its very important to patch things up before some hackers find the weakness and steal our money.
10798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin cash keep loosing value or will go up again ? on: October 16, 2017, 11:31:29 AM
I bought it at 530 so im loosing money at.the moment my questoon is will it go up to  this value again or higher ?

Sorry to break the bubble but I think it will take longer before you can at least recover your losses here. Bitcoin Cash didn't gain enough traction from the community that's why the price didn't took off as expected. Why did you buy Bitcoin Cash anyway? Do you believed about that coin?

I think the community has spoken and they don't like another "clone" coin that's why the price has been slumping lately. And there is the upcoming Bitcoin Gold as well, which I think can affect the price of BCH in a negative way. Get out and stick to bitcoin or any other altcoins like ETH, NEO or LTC.
10799  Economy / Speculation / Re: $6000 comming through on: October 16, 2017, 11:00:29 AM
I just wish that the segwit will not cause bitcoin to crashed and reach $2800 again, its pretty nice seeing how bitcoin increase rapidly in just few weeks but I come to think if this is just a preparation for a sudden dump in the price of bitcoin. Let's see what's gonna happen in couple of days.

The crash that caused bitcoin to reach $2800 is the Chinese banning and subsequent negative news from them. What sudden dump are you seeing? This is just normal to see minor correction. If they dump their coins, they will lose their chance to get free money, so it doesn't make sense to do that today. You have to wait on Oct. 26 to know if there are really dumping. The only dumps that's gonna happen is bitcoin gold, because investors will likely not to support it. They are all in for the free money and dump it and buy more bitcoins. Don't be paranoid dude.
10800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be hacked? on: October 16, 2017, 10:17:58 AM
I love the concept of Bitcoin. I believe the Internet will redefine currency as we know it.  I hope this helps the Bitcoin community to develop a currency that's really resilient to attacks.

But, is it possible?

Can you give us one scenario that bitcoin has been attacked before?

Blockchain, the underlying technology behind bitcoin has no history of such attacks, although it has been spammed before causing the network to clogged down a little. And with regards to bitcoin wallet, its your own responsibility to protect it against hackers, like having strong passwords, 2FA and secure your private keys. I hope you can research first before posting here because it looks like you don't have a clue what bitcoin/blockchain is.
