Prove your words. You said you will keep on winning with low odds, so go and try it at a dice site with 1.01 that is a very low odds there and see if you will win. The answer is not and if you dont want to do this, share your entire betting history from august till now that you bet with low odds and we can calculate if you get profit or lose LOL
some people are simply obstinate in their pseudoscience or whatever, and ignore things such as house edge, variance, probability, expected value, etc. just calm down and let it go.

Uh, ok, so i will then wait for it to sync. I am still on 1 year and 36 weeks more and it is already 15.4 gb. Grin Is there any other wallet what needs to sync less? What is the capacity of full database? 100gb?
i think the blockchain is somewhere above 40 GB's now, but if you want to spend/use your  coins faster, downloading a "light" wallet and importing your private keys into there is an option. The easiest, most user-friendly one imo is Multibit (version 0.5.19 is the current build, MultibitHD has an additional 1k satoshi fee that goes to the developers, but is much more up to date with security and bugs.), and the developer (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=31622) is active on the forum and can assist you with questions if you post them over in the multibit section (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=99.0).
another light client i would recommend is electrum, although not as user friendly, it offers more features, such as the ability to set your tx fees and to act as cold storage.

edit: blockchain size: https://blockchain.info/charts/blocks-size

I'm not much of a gambler myself, but when I gamble I play poker. Poker can be very profitable, but it is very time consuming as well. Betting and casinos,  are not my type. so, what's your opinion on what could be more profitable?

Gambling is not very profitable, because in the long run you will always lose... that's why so many casinos exist.  If you do get on a hot streak in any type of gambling game though, take it and run.  Gambling is always meant to be something that is fun and passes time for entertainment, I wouldn't make it into a career by any means.

The only thing I can see that would be profitable and considered "gambling" in some sense is to invest in something, whether trading other cryptos or trying your luck on ponzi's ... there are tons of scams out there so be careful wherever you put your money though.

Good luck!
Thanks for your answer. I guess I have the same belief. In gambling, in the long run you will always lose.
Nevertheless, we a see a lot of professional gamblers. And the ones who seem to keep their way are concentrated either on poker or in the sports betting \trading industry.
thats because it is possible to consistently profit in the long run in poker/sportsbets. unlike other typical gambling games, these are not bets against the house. in poker for example, it is possible to win consistently in a way that will overall increase your bankroll. with sportsbooks, it is possible to gain an edge by playing the displayed opening odds, researching, etc. both do take time, but it can be treated as a full time job with enough expertise.

Don't get me wrong, I know that some people can become profitable by gambling in poker and that kind of thing... but in all reality these people lead to have no lives in investing their time solely on that one game. Hell, my brothers roommate in college was the richest kid I have ever met in my entire life and it was because of online poker... he ended up becoming professional and going to the WSP.

But at what cost? On weekends, he would skip out on party's/barhoping with us and would go barricade himself in a small cubicle at the university's library and stay there for hours or even a full day at times... Now he became very successful with what he did, made 100K+ at least, but hopefully you get my point..
everything comes at a cost, and your brother's friend valued his hobby more than partying. he consciously made the decision to spend time on his hobby/passion over partying with friends on weekends, and in his case, it worked out pretty nicely. maybe you, in his shoes, would have valued the time spent with friends more, but every person is different, and would make different decisions in the same situation.
1084  Other / Meta / Re: New mod: LaudaM on: September 15, 2015, 11:11:37 AM
I have missed a lot of things in this ~2 week leave. I wish I hadn't took a leave in this period. You became mod, QS' shady actions brought to light etc... Anyway, congrats! Keep up your good work! I think you will become a patroller soon! Wink
Hmm isn't it like patroller is lower rank than Mod?

doesnt look like it, seems to me that patrollers have more power than just moderators. im assuming moderators only have power in their respective sections, while patrollers are also given power over newbie posts/accounts.

I see you've moved pretty fast several threads I've reported in Marketplace too (example). How does it work? Can you do that just because it was posted by a newbie? Can any staff member do that in any board? Or does 'Beginners & Help' let you do that? (Just curious)

And congratulations LaudaM!
Yeah, I like to handle my reports quickly if I'm able to do so. As a Patroller I can move any thread and remove any thread/post made by a newbie. I can also nuke their account if I deem it to be necessary (spam, bots, etc). I As a moderator of a section (like I am in the ones listed) I can move any thread and remove any thread/post no matter what their rank is. I cannot nuke anyone above the newbie rank, nor can I ban anyone of any rank. I hope this clarifies it for you.

When this site pay us.like per post, daily, weekly or monthly?
You have to join a signature campaign first, and that is going to be pretty tough since you are a newbie...

There are some campaigns though that offer newbies sig campaigns though... 777coin is one of them, not quite sure what the others are.
important note, the 'pay for posting' isnt paid out by the forum itself, its paid by the services that wish to purchase your signature space to advertise their services. the pay increases proportionally  with your form rank as well.

1087  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: New suspicion: QuickSeller and BiPolarBob appear to be the same person on: September 14, 2015, 07:22:14 PM
please people, don't feed the troll.

I think OP only wanted to draw enough attention to make BPB leave the forum for good.

you're probably right.
1088  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: New suspicion: QuickSeller and BiPolarBob appear to be the same person on: September 14, 2015, 06:27:57 PM
Isn't it a crazy coincidence that BiPolarBob has never been involved in forum discussion until the exact hour that QS got called out?

And where is Bob's first forum discussion? In QuickSellers scam accusation thread of course!

Coincidence of course! Right QS-BPB?
I think there was a similar "bpb is a scammer" thread opened in the reputation section the last time he gave away some steam gift cards, this isn't the first time.

Learn to read! Linky: https://www.hookedonphonics.com

I said it is the FIRST time he is posting outside of his own threads! And immediately to save QuickSeller from the Doxx monster! How can you think this is normal?
If anyone has any identifying info about BPB or location please PM me so I can have you send it to me anonymously. I can confirm if they are the same person or not.

I would ask that nobody does this.

I have QS dox. People want to know if you are him. Why not prove it?

What people? And where is this coming from? I am no more similar to QuickSeller than anyone else on this forum. This is the most random thing ever. Don't dox me.
listen to your own advice, he said "don't dox me," not "don't dox qs." also, no shit he would post here, someone is threatening to dox him.

Just please leave BPB out of this. This is one of the most random thing around here for a while. BPB is pretty much different than Quickseller though  Smiley
we can't even have a genuinely altruistic person on this forum doing what they do without having people suspect they're a scammer or trying to dox them, it's really sad.

The problem with social media is that it combines the power of stupid people in large groups. I do see your point, everybody wants to be a victim now. Which is a real shame, because it usually involves one group of people trying to make another feel apologetic for what was done several years ago.
this is something i cant wrap my head around; what in hell are these people thinking to think they are entitled to special treatment over something their parents of ancestors of generations ago went through? LGBT groups were looked down upon for many years? true, that's a fact, but that does not mean you, who was born into today's generation, went through that suffering, nor does it entitle you to pity from everyone around you. your ancestors were slaves? that might be true too, but you werent one.
1095  Economy / Gambling / Re: Strategies For Dice With Faucet on: September 14, 2015, 02:05:52 PM
I will share a strategy I saw from a YouTube video. The guy played for a lot bigger sums but the strategy can be used with faucets too. The strategy was to increase 5% on win and increase 5% on loss on x2 multiplier. With some luck I have made up to 10k from 200 satoshi. You may need couple of tries but it is possible with the right combination of wins and loses.
so you got a tad more than 2 pennies at the end of it all, some strat. a strategy should  be something that increases your chances of winning, not decreasing your chances of losing, which is exactly what martingale or any other positive progression betting system and all of their variants aims to accomplish. unless there is no house edge and you can expect over a number of rolls (10k+) that your results will have an extremely even distribution (esp in a small sample as to not to 'bust'), "strategies" like those are pointless.
1096  Other / Archival / Re: WTB What.CD invite on: September 14, 2015, 12:20:10 PM
how about a new account?
if you mean an account you own that you were willing to give to me, not really, i would prefer the invite over someone else's account.
1097  Other / Archival / WTB What.CD invite on: September 14, 2015, 12:00:11 PM
willing to pay 0.1 BTC for an invite, escrow preferred unless you are going first or you are a trusted member. feel free to either post in this thread or pm me regarding this. I will lock the thread once I have made a purchase.
1098  Economy / Gambling / Re: Strategies For Dice With Faucet on: September 14, 2015, 09:56:26 AM
Most dice websites give 200-500 satoshi from faucet. What are you strategies with these kind of amounts?
none, the purpose of a faucet is to give players a chance to try out the site without having to dedicate a deposit. it's also a tool to get people 1 for in the door, which might lead to them depositing a fair sum (and losing it) in the future. it's ridiculous to see the faucet as any potential source of income.

Nope, not all feminists are women. I'm a testament to that.

I believe in equal rights for both sexes, and I also acknowledge that there are inequalities that exist between the sexes, and that they need to be eradicated. However, I'm an advocate for civil liberties for women (and some men) in countries that really need feminism, like Saudi Arabia. America is going too far by encouraging women to abolish marriage as we know it, by nearly shaming them for falling in love, for wanting to pursue happiness with a male partner.
completely agree, and its a fact that inequalities exist, and as you pointed out, one of the most glaring examples is in the middle east, where the inequality exists as a cultural norm. and unfortunately, these cultures are predominant in their respective areas, and tradition is slow (incredibly slow) to die out.

when i referred to the loud minority in my post, i was thinking of the "feminists" over in the states that bleed of hypocrisy, shouting equality while they do the whole "kill all men" thing. my bad for taking a narrow view on the topic, but its becoming more and more noticeable in my area. guess i cant really say i have an impartial view on the topic as is.

I was banned from a feminist page on Facebook I really liked (and oh God, social media is completely responsible for devolving feminism into what it is today, it empowers teenagers believing they have a say in politics), because the post was something like "Men don't want feminism because they want to maintain their position of authority over their female counterparts", and I responded with "I don't think it's very fair to make such a generalized claim regarding every single male on the planet".

Their social media campaigns with the "#Notallmen" thing is a terrible excuse for justifying generalization. If you replaced the word "Men" in most their posts with "Jews" or "Black people", it would sound absolutely chauvinistic. Why then, is the double standard being allowed to be upheld, by so many famous celebrities? Oh, don't even get me started on that topic, with Kanye considering running for president *shudders*
lets face it; social media among other things have aided in dumbing down this generation to the point where people cannot even see the glaring hypocrisy of their own actions. everyone's got inconsistencies here and there, but some people take it to a whole another plane of existence.
not only are they hypocrites, theyve come to act entitled, using the argument that they are actively "oppressed" and "discriminated" against on a day to day basis. its getting ridiculous, and at this rate kanye as president might end up happening one day.
as for the double standards that come up, its just people acting entitled as fuck. they expect people to accept their statements while they themselves constantly interpret rules or anything else for the matter differently depending on whats more convenient for them at the time. i dont mind that people do this, people have always been stupid. what bothers me is that this trend is gradually becoming more and more common, maybe even accepted. safe to say at this rate, society is headed towards a gutter.
