10821  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin rise is over on: October 03, 2017, 09:44:16 PM
Every time that we see a minor price drop, a lot of thread starts popping in saying that bitcoin is headed for doom and will crash. Yeah I agree, it will crash soon. But, did you also point in the graph that it can and will recovered from the crash? And the like scenario is the negative news that was cause by China, the price crash, however two weeks since and the price goes to $4000+. And besides, we can't compare what happened in 2013 to today. And the price just dip by $200. I hope you will also create a thread when bitcoin surges past $5000.
10822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Effects of ICO ban in China on: October 03, 2017, 04:53:29 PM
I think that the regulation of ICO will do good. Projects will be more transparent and workable!
yes its what we need and what we hope from temporarily ico ban in china that affect value of ico. despite ico ban regulation from china and korea. there is still a hope from country such as japan who support ICO. I hope japan could change and fix this problem. as we can see its already did a great job by bring back bitcoin price from 3k back to 4k . anyway to make ICO accepted we need a secure way to determined which is scam and which is a true ico with a real project.

For me the banning of ICO will be just temporary. China and South Korea will just put up a regulation so that they can't scam anymore of their citizens specially Chinese. The company should be completely transparent and register everything to the government and they will make a review and release their decision if the ICO can ran in their country. I think the government has the right to protect its people against ICO that are really a scam. So it they are running out to run off people's money, they will have second doubts because they have to full registered every detail to the government body.
10823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Go to Land Based Casinos? on: October 03, 2017, 03:52:38 PM
Just went there last night. Lost like .03-.04BTC. The gambler that I am, went home took my card withdraw it and went back playing once more. Luckily I was won big and was able to recovered my losses and still won. But I was thinking when I'm driving going back home that I shouldn't to that next time. But I have the feeling that I'm going to win on my return that's why I took the chance. But please don't do it. I just follow my gut feeling and I know that I can control myself. It's just a have a different feeling that night. So yes, I love going to land based casino when I'm felling I'm "lucky" that day.
10824  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - time to buy or sell? on: October 03, 2017, 03:20:54 PM
Waiting for bitcoin to go down - at least  below 4k.
Usually I am buying some small amounts for every 2-5% of price change in order to have more flexible sells.

Now holding.

Its going down $4200 right now. You still waiting for it to get below $4000?

I'm buying when I get home. Will try to just get in small portion just like you and see how the market price will react. If it goes down in the next 24 hours then I will get in again. But it is goes higher, then I already got some decent returns. I just try to buy in dips and not waiting for a certain point before buying. For me, any dip is a good buying point. Of course the lower and cheap the price the better. But I'll stick to this strategy because so far its effective on my end.
10825  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Which wallet is best on: October 02, 2017, 03:47:05 PM
For web wallet I highly recommended blockchain.info and green address. And for the desktop wallet there are only two for me, bitcoin core and electrum but I'm using electrum as this is a very easy to use and user-friendly wallet. Fees on blockchain.info are quite lower today unlike before where all wallets does charge too expensive fees.

Electrum for me is the best wallet. Well its the only wallet I have used so far for bitcoin. It's very lightweight, user friendly and the most important thing is that you can choose how much fee's you want to. And the private keys is on your possession. You just need to backup your private keys so recover your wallet.

I know the OP asked for bitcoin wallet, but if you do need altcoin wallet as well, you can try Exodus.

10826  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Another Bitcoin Hard Fork due in November. BTC price up or down? on: October 02, 2017, 03:06:39 PM
it seems very difficult to do that prediction, but I'm sure many people hope that hardfork in november will make a new record bitcoin prices.

Its really hard to predict what would be the price movement. Look at the Aug. 1 split, people says that bitcoin will go down and their would be a huge market price. But the opposite happened, instead of a price dip, the price rose exponentially and even touch $3000. So I'm expecting that the same could happen in the looming fork. A lot of uncertainties, doubt and everything, but at the end of day, bitcoin surges ahead.

The possibility of bitcoin prices in November will increase because the evaluation is run for the second time so that if the price down will make a disappointment for an investment and bitcoiners who continue to seek the highest income.

LOL. If you are not here for the long term, surely you will be disappointed. However, as traders, you should know that the market is not always bullish. There will come a time that the price could go down and it is a potential loss on your end. However, historical chart says that bitcoin will always recovered soon.
10827  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-02] Police Confirm North Korean Connection in Bitcoin Exchange Phishing on: October 02, 2017, 12:38:47 PM
I think this just proved that North Korea is hell bent to sabotage and stole funds from their neighbors. We all know that they have been at odds every since WW2 and this is one way for North Koreans to weaken their enemy but attempting to stole money from them. This is just the start of cyber war and for sure this is not the last. Good thing is nothing has been stolen. And for sure the South Koreans has already learn their lesson and will upgrade their security around their exchanges.
10828  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has defeated gold on: October 02, 2017, 11:51:13 AM
Yes Bitcoin has defeated Gold. I believe that near future Bitcoin will become the best among any other form.
Bitcoin is slowly getting into that. The price of bitcoin is getting more stable compare to the past history of prices of bitcoin and that is the proof that bitcoin market is getting into the stage of being mature and not that young anymore. I can see that in the future, bitcoin will become the most in demand currency and also an investment because of its possibilities and potential.

Bitcoin has already passed gold in terms of market price. However, gold has many advantage of bitcoin. But bitcoin is now the new investment portfolio that most people are going to. There was even a article saying that a gold investors, sold half of his gold to enter the bitcoin market. And its getting mature already but still the price is very unstable. However, this is what we like about bitcoin because as trading we can make profit out of the volatility of bitcoin. But we need to understand the gold is gold and it has several advantage over bitcoin that even we have surpassed its price, its still more valuable for some investors.
10829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: October 02, 2017, 11:20:29 AM
Once again, I think that is so boring.
I have a feeling the warriors will lose in the west finals, I'm rooting for the Spurs to beat them.

Kinda rooting too, but since they've got no significant additions, we'll be looking at how their core players improved throughout the off-season. I'd like to see more of Kawhi playing on another level.
I really like Kawhi Leonard because he is a very humble yet a monster on court. He keeps improving every season. But he need a good team mates. He cannot carty the team alone. If you see the last conference finals. He was injured and unable to play the rest of the games. Now that some key players just retired and left the team. Spurs will need a good reinforcements to compete with other powerhouse teams like Cavaliers, Warriors and Thunder. Anyway, Kawhi will not able to play for the entire preseason because of his thigh injury http://www.espn.com/nba/team/_/id/24

San Antonio Spurs is already complete. They are steadily balanced and doesn't need a roster revamp.

It's not on the roster problem on why they struggle last playoffs but their momentum got wrecked because of Kawhi's dissappearance. Plus we can't denied the fact that Golden State Warriors is really dominant last playoffs. Not a hardcore fan of GSW but I see that if even Kawhi doesn't experienced that injury, they will still be contained by the Warriors.

That's series can really go either way. Unfortunately, Leonard suffered an injury. And with Tony Parker already out, there's no way they can defeat Golden State in that series. Its a good series between Leonard and Durant up to the unfaithful event. I consider the team all good and set to go for this season. And I hope he has already recovered and fully healthy. This season will be huge for NBA as more and more super teams have already put up and ready to match with Golden State.
10830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I did it! Traveling with Bitcoin and $100 only on: October 02, 2017, 10:44:50 AM
My journey started on Sep 21, from Boston to NYC, flight to Egypt then Turkey, back to Boston! Carrying $100 just in case and 3 bitcoins in my wallet!

Fuck If I will ever carry credit card, or cash any more:

1- I used Localbitcoins for cash! Search for best local currency rate!
2- How much I save from credit card fees and Fiat exchanges: $305.
3- Is it save to deal with Localbitcoins in person overseas? Yes, so amazing nice guys, you are making friends Smiley

You should try it! & $100 stayed with me! and I spent less than 1.9 btc in both countries!!!

Truly an inspiring story mate and thank you for sharing and giving us idea how to travel with bitcoins only. I think this story should be published to a crypto news website such as cointelegraph.com so that others can see how bitcoin can be truly used outside of investment instrument. Maybe others wo would read this will make the same journey and really document it with video and post it in youtube where it can seen by million bitcoin enthusiast. Thank you as well for sharing and giving us inspiration mate.
10831  Economy / Gambling / Re: Are there any whales left out there? on: October 02, 2017, 08:08:50 AM
Are there any players that wager more than 10-20 bitcoin a day? I want to chat. I wagered over 165 Bitcoin last week on CoinPro.fit alone.

There are a lot of whalers out there that are even betting more than 20 BTC. But I doubt that they will resurface because they want to remain hidden from the prying eyes of a hackers. The link you gave is your gambling website and I don't see any 165 BTC wagered by you. This is you just promoting your website.

Oh, okay. I see what you did here. Tongue You announced yourself as a whale by saying you wagered 165 BTC last week and then you provided some link that I don't know if legit or not (not even bothered to click it). This is definitely an advertisement to the site that you mentioned above. I know what you're trying to do here but I think it is not correct to do it here. Why don't you make a proper thread promoting that site and provide additional information about it. That would make more sense if you ask me.
He already did have a proper ann thread and it's not gaining that much exposure though. This thread alone is already catching up in terms of views. Suggestion for OP, why not add some nice feature like progressive jackpot would help attract more gamblers to bet in your site or increase your house edge so you can do more promos.

He has already a signature campaign in place. So I'm pretty sure that maybe he can attract whales and gamblers in his site. But it is just another dice site so I don't know if people will play there as most of us has trusted PM any other dice site. So it will be good if he would include the features you mentioned to that it can attract more players. Goodluck though and welcome to the gambling community.
10832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: are there any translation campaign for newbies ? on: October 02, 2017, 06:36:44 AM
As I know noone would really want newbie to translate paper about crypto. Being newbie means "having less information about crypto" in community's eyes. So I suggest you to follow forums more and rank up.

Correct and newbies, tend to "scam", if I may add. So you need to rank up before some projects will trust you doing translation for them. So its similar to signature campaign, no space to newbies to join. Just consider yourself making you first journey on crypto as a baby or newbie but for sure as you can knowledge and experience in this forum you will find translation and signature or bounties that you can join. You just need a lot of patience and time before you can rank up. I wish you luck and enjoy the journey.
10833  Economy / Services / Re: ★★★ [FULL] NITROGENSPORTS.EU Signature Campaign ★★★ on: October 01, 2017, 08:47:34 PM
You guys haven't got paid for 2 previous weeks? Is the manager still alive? Maybe you should contact Nitrogensports and ask if they're aware of the situation and in contact with your manager.

The campaign manager already tell us about the payment for week 42 and 43 and we do not have to worry about it mate we have more trust in nitrogen and notaek.

Are you sure about that? It's been a week since you wrote that and you still haven't received a single satoshi. If I were you I'd start losing that trust.
If they are fucking with you for so long it's either they don't care about you and this campaign or they are in financial trouble. If I had money with them I'd withdraw ASAP.

I have received in full my last payment (3 weeks). Thank you Notaek and Nitrogen. And Goodluck to the rest of the participants.
10834  Economy / Services / Re: ⛏ Ice Rock Mining Signature & Avatar Campaign ⛏ [CNFP] on: October 01, 2017, 10:13:53 AM
Great news! This campaign will be running for at least 2 more weeks, there may be another extension after that.

Thanks for the good news mate. Smiley
10835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to place token after ICO on: October 01, 2017, 09:29:19 AM
Hey everyone, please help.

Which exchanges are placing new tokens for trading?
Maybe someone had an ICO not long ago, could you please tell where have you placed your token?
What prices and conditions do exchanges have?

Thanks for help!

Did you try Tidex? https://tidex.com/

Their official Ann Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1769969.0

They supported Ethereum and Ethereum based tokens.

They said that they list coins free. Better send them hello@tidex.com and clarify things with them. Although the catch is that they are located in Russia.  Smiley
10836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stratis on: October 01, 2017, 09:08:14 AM
things are going slow at stratis. if i'm not wrong, they announced master node but it didn't come and delayed.

but i think price is at dip. at their roadmap it says Marketing for 2017-Q4 . so when bitcoin settle i think stratis will rise again.

I think the masternode or breezenode is still under testing if I'm correct. And the last update was a "Improved blockchain data storage".

https://stratisplatform.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/code/overview

They are also making a headway regarding the Breeze Wallet. You can also see it here:

https://stratisplatform.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/WIKI/overview

I think they are really working hard for this project so likely that this is just a dip that we are seeing. And once all the project in the pipeline is completed, we may see the price go up again.

10837  Economy / Marketplace / Re: China Down Price Down vs Valve Perfect World on: October 01, 2017, 08:39:11 AM
I highly doubt that they are doing it to intentionally profit.

they are doing what any government would do, of course the Chinese government is different from other governments, but many ICOs are created with the intention of stealing money from investors and the exchange has already had many dark stories and that is why I think they should be regulated, something that may happen in the near future

I agree with setting a proper regulation so that they protect the interests of investors and properly deal with risks involved. There are really a lot of scams ICO and their intention is to really steal money from investors. But having a well regulated law, this may somewhat limit those who are thinking of scamming more investor. There are a lot of reports saying that they will require license or permit for those company who wants to raise large sums of money. But this time they will be scrutinized by whatever body will give them permit to operate. But this remain to be seen though.

10838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Today, 1 OCT 2017 THE DGB WEEK starts!, you want to earn?? on: October 01, 2017, 08:25:43 AM
I totally agree with all the above posters have said. DGB needs to put some hype about their coins again because it has slowly died and almost totally forgotten. And thinking that they have been in the game for 3 years now without any significant growth, I doubt that any investors would just put their money in it. Personally, I have given up on this coin long time ago. The project seems to be promising at the beginning, however, I don't see any significant updates from the dev that's why the community stop investing on them. It's really sad to see it becoming one of those coins that has stay out of the limelight already, but used to be a good prospect initially.
10839  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptocurrencies regulated from October 1 in China! on: October 01, 2017, 08:01:30 AM
Aren't all the exchanges operating in China supposed to be closed by now?

I see OKcoin still with trade volume, and others too.

I think they are still up to Oct 30 including Huobi to operate if I'm not mistaken. the justification is that those 2 exchanges are too big and needed more time. But there are some who have closed already. Including btcc and viabtc. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2218358.0

BTCC is still operating in the BTC/USD pair, from what we can see. But the BTC/CNY pair has ceased operating. But for localbitcoin will take over and it looks like they are increasing everyday. So bitcoin trading still continue to flourish in China.
10840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Benefits from Gambling on: October 01, 2017, 07:34:14 AM
There are not many benefits from gambling that I know of, other than passing time and seeing it as a form of occasional entertainment.

I really don't understand what is the benefit someone from gambling. Specially if you have been in the gambling world for so long. You may have experiences losses but you still don't stop from playing. I guess is just passing time or sort of entertainment. But if you are losing money so it doesn't give you that much benefit isn't it?

I also used to gamble and based on experience i agree with the benefits that you gained on gambling. However for me, mentally i had been able to improve my analytical skills since card games which i used to play requires analytical skills and the longer i played the better i become. Emotionally i think it help me improve my emotions on winning and lossing. In addition to this i think gambling somehow helped me make some money since i was able to buy some useful things at home  whenever i won something big. But to top it all i thinks it really developed my personality now. How i see life today and how i control my life now is based on all the experiencea i had in gambling

LOL mate. There are other forms that will enhance your analytical ability. Yeah, if you make some money that is good, but what if in the long run you almost got bankrupt or your bankroll swept? You going to lend money to continue and try to recover or just completely quit gambling? (which is hard).
