1101  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-07-31] Rand Paul Staffer Estimates $33,000 Raised In BTC By Mid-June on: August 03, 2015, 02:47:08 AM
not bad for such a small BTC community Cool

Wouldn't it be funny if they held it and the price went up dramatically before the elections? Cheesy
They use Bitpay to collect bitcoin donations so I don't think that they hold any bitcoin. Bitpay probably auto converts into USD and send its to his campaign bank account. It would surprise me if he holds any bitcoin in an address that he controls.

If I ran Bitpay, I would hold the BTC donated to Rand's campaign that we converted to USD, then sell it when USD/BTC went up, and donate the difference between what we paid Rand in USD and the USD we finally sold it for.
Good idea, get a decent trader like masterluc or someone to join their squad and run some trades w/ their intakes of bitcoin to grab some decent profits w/ ~10%ish of their daily take or even less and see what they can do on a biweekly basis. If they can run profits on a small sample of intakes then let them keep it w/ a slight reimbursement and go for more. Just thinking out loud but Bitpay could keep fiat after the fact and then some for a larger profit margin. In the case of Rand's campaign, the tricky part is the campaign finance aspect of this whole thought but I'm sure there's a positive a way around it (to offer them back some trade profits) yet I know they don't give a hill of beans about this whole potential move, just what they take in in "play'' money.

I sure hope Rand and team have a way to set themselves apart in the upcoming debates cause this Trump show needs to be put back in the bag. Rand needs to reconnect to the conservative primary GOP base instead of running in general election mode too soon.
1103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anybody know of a chart with Gox influence removed? on: August 02, 2015, 07:30:33 PM
Without gox I think the current price would be around 20-40 usd. With a past ATH around 70 usd.

Hey didn't you sell your coins for $10?
Crickets.. Clearly, he's formed a pact w/ trollypop to keep spreading lulz about the bitcoin price as we keep the ship sailing forward and upward. It's gonna be a very tough time going forward for the likes of these two.
1104  Economy / Securities / Re: use btc to invest in high yield fixed income product on: August 02, 2015, 04:25:24 AM
This one is full of bullcrap that everyone should love. Just save and buy more bitcoin from here on in to get what you need in your pocket. Don't play around in this shit. You'll get taken fast and easy.
1105  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: August 02, 2015, 04:04:04 AM
I'd say that having at least 10 coins is a pleasant spot to be in at this point. Achieving that is something that everyone should be looking out for here. And then keep getting more!
1106  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 02, 2015, 03:52:50 AM
garbage

I am talking to a troll. Sorry about that.

Yes, you made a mockery of yourself by engaging in that nonsense but at least you eventually saw the light. Choppery is evident in all of her posts but you were slow so I hope you didn't sell base upon shit. I don't know why shit is allowed to post again and again w/ a new sockshit but they are, apparently. Cool

It's time to rage against the machine.

True, I just sold the farm in this environment. Gotta run out at this point, sell.
1109  Economy / Speculation / Re: Direction is NNE (north northeast) - MOON TIME on: July 31, 2015, 05:46:13 AM
There's been a full on assault on this thread by the madam of choppery, so we should proceed with caution or lol. Up to you.
1110  Economy / Speculation / Re: Direction is NNE (north northeast) - MOON TIME on: July 30, 2015, 06:06:08 PM
I really don't know what is the purpose of your posts.
farting shot

As I said a newbie says...

I see you've made good friends w/ trollypop, she made a special sock just for you. Although, it's still the same recycled crap that is always posted. Rock on!

The "Rand Paul is Over" Wave is Cresting

In the campaign season, lots of writers have a lot of space to fill and have to have something convincingly and interestingly synthetic to say about the fact that a politician is raising money, going to events, and random people across the country are being asked on the phone whether they'd vote for him.

A combination of low numbers in the first and last of those, combined with the usual array of "that other guy involved in this team process sucks" that anyone who can get anonymous interviews with anyone involved in any campaign (or any team process) will find, leads this week to Rand Paul's campaign being declared, once again!, and still nearly a half year before any vote is case, over, man, over. (The Atlantic did the same seven weeks ago, and I thought they were being silly then.)

Let's start with Politico. They've got a couple of discouraging facts as they take us deep inside the Paul campaign's "downward spiral."

Paul has taken in just $13 million, a fraction of what all his major rivals for the Republican nomination have raised and far less than Paul hoped" and he's been dropping in polls lately in the Age of Trump.

Then it just becomes an attempt to paint a vaguely sketched picture of a campaign riddled with personal issues, dueling would-be bosses, and a lackadaisical candidate.

New Poll: Rand Paul holds Hillary Clinton to only 47% in Illinois

Clinton, versus Paul 47%
versus Bush 48%
versus Carson 49%
versus Rubio 49%
versus Christie 49%
versus Fiorina 49%
versus Walker 50%
versus Cruz 51%
versus Huckabee 51%
versus Trump 51%

So, Rand keeps Shillary to the lowest level  in this poll vs other GOP candidates n a major blue stage, a few percentage points mean everything.

After Testing the Technology for months, NASDAQ Will Use Bitcoin Blockchain

Most of you probably heard several months ago that NASDAQ planned to test Bitcoin technology within its business. It now appears the exchange will be rolling it out live in the fourth quarter, partnering with Chain.

From Bloomberg:

Nasdaq OMX Group Inc. expects to become the first major exchange operator to use the technology behind bitcoin when a project in its private-companies business goes live in the fourth quarter.

The stock market operator is partnering with infrastructure provider Chain to use blockchain to issue and transfer the shares of privately held companies. Blockchain is the ledger that drives the bitcoin digital currency.

lmao, these poor bears...   getting eaten alive.
And to think that any of these boobs used leverage of any means kinda freaks me out at this point. Major profs during their good times and then getting wiped out in a bloodbath is a lot to think on. It's a happy and sad moment I guess.
1115  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 29, 2015, 02:43:09 AM
Litecoin up, Bitcoin down  Huh wierd...

That's the pre pump!
Yeah, you ain't kidding. Litecoin is about to erupt into something fierce and then mega profits are gonna be fed back into bitcoin for another solid leg up. Buy or get left out. Ltc will make your btc more substantial but even I'm not going all in in such a greedy way, just a 10% play.
1116  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 29, 2015, 02:40:07 AM
so consolidation at a high resistance level...

Lets see who shoots first.. It can go either way here even thought the perma-bulls never want to hear this...
Back when I was 20 years or so younger, I watched the Good, the Bad and the Ugly so I remember this scene quite well. I just wondered when the movie would end by this point. Putting the lil girl in the mix really takes the cake here. Smiley

Two stupid threads alone today from trollypop. Why the mods allow newcomers to start threads or even bypass newb jail is beyond me. Market has changed so the troll is irrelevant at this point.

I pity the poor sod. Wasted a year of his life slagging off something he secretly loves yet failed to get close to the bottom Wink
Too bad they don't get a real job and then have steady money coming in to stock their own wallet up with coin instead of ramble online just to get another sock ignored.
1118  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-07-28]Presidential Candidate is Using Bitcoin to Make a Point on: July 28, 2015, 10:23:23 PM
I met Johnson and got a photo with him back in 2009 or 10 at porcfest up in NH but at this point he's just a side show perennial running to travel around on other people's money. Plus, he's a distraction from libertarians supporting Rand Paul, the only one w/ a chance to get elected and get some real change going.
1119  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-07-28]Expedia’s Drop In Bitcoin Transactions To Be Blamed On Lack Of Consu on: July 28, 2015, 10:19:54 PM
I'd only be willing to reward companies that take bitcoin as a payment option if they offer appropriate discounts to make it worth my while. If they aren't willing to help incentivize more people to want to pay with bitcoin by offering these discounts then they deserve their fiat or less business in my mind.
