1101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to buy bitcoin with fiduciary coin and send it to my wallet? on: February 11, 2022, 07:46:07 AM

I remember how Changelly used to be rushed by many traders some years ago as a site to exchange one token for another. It used to be an easy thing to do then and no KYC was demanded. It was just a simple email for verification or something. Nothing more was asked for. It was not like what we have in centralised exchanges of today with restrictions and KYC verification. How it went from a much loved to a site with bad reputation is a shock. It is sad to see it go down this way.
1102  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: February 10, 2022, 08:20:59 PM
why be say na only 9ja children abroad dey break dis kind record and only exceptional ones for 9ja fit get this doings

You go notice say those ones weh deh make us proud abroad for education na south if Nigeria them they always come from. I never hear of any northerner breaking records academically. This na observation weh somebody make and I agree with that 100%. Yet na these same people weh no too sound academically deh rule us for Aso Villa like say we be mumu.
1103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man who lost 7500 bitcoin in a landfill asks gov't he wants to dig it up on: February 10, 2022, 09:09:34 AM
I don't know how the things happen in UK, but in my country somebody would have been already taking that drive or computer in the same day and selling it for parts or simply the metal

This is what I think also. There is no way that hard drive will still be intact. Somebody would have retrieved it at the point of dump for personal use or sold it off to a merchant who would in return sell it to someone in a third world country who may not even know the importance of it that it goes beyond a mere metal but one housing serious wealth. Let us even say it was left in the dump, what does he think will happen to it? Will he be able to retrieve any information from it because it would have been destroyed by hardship of season, rains and sun. He should just perish the thought of looking for it. It will be waste of time.
1104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin may not experience blood bath on: February 10, 2022, 07:47:02 AM
Yea.. I used to have the same opinion that we wouldn't have 2018-levels of corrections because of how different the space is today. But now that most people seem to have the same opinion, I'm having doubts. Most of the time, things go "wrong" when people get overly bullish; like in this case.

You are funny. You want to be the only one standing alone but that is not going to be possible. Alot of people are bullish on bitcoin because they want it to come up in price so they can cash out. But if they are not heavy investors their opinion will not do anything for them. I like it when people get bullish as it brings in FOMO and hype, and this will spread like wildfire and get more people interested.
1105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do we get money women to be involved in Crypto on: February 10, 2022, 05:06:49 AM
I think women think it's easy,

You mean they do not think it is easy? I believe that is what you meant to write there. Yes that is it. Cryptocurrency is complicated in a way and women like to avoid anything like that. It is not that we do not have them in here but they are very few. Stocks are also not easy but what makes it appealing to women can be that it has to do with only simply investing and leaving it for a few years to become profitable. Cryptocurrency is more complicated than just buying and selling. There is also issues of wallets and online and offline security of it.

1107  Economy / Services / Re: 💹📈 Royse777🧢: Campaign Management 💪🔥 Signature | ICO | IDO | NFT on: February 09, 2022, 04:31:28 PM

I like the way you run your campaigns. You are one of the manager who ensure posters stick to the rules of quality to the point of catching bounty cheaters and exposing projects which turned to scam the public. Well done. I will recommend you any day.

1109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: FURY vs WHYTE - CONFIRMED on: February 09, 2022, 10:45:00 AM
That is what it looks like and it is the general believe.
You shouldn't have said it general belief when we both know that one man's food is another man's poison.

Do not get me wrong on that. I know some people love Whyte and will want him to win but when that opinion or wish is in tiny minority, it means majority want Fury to win. It is the total sum of the majority opinion on this fight that makes me say the general belief. Check out what the poll result is here and then feel what the public says on this one. It is going to be a Fury win.

Am making this my portion with hope it happens to me too sooner than later.
1111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON - Finals. on: February 08, 2022, 05:46:19 PM
Before this thread gets locked, let's take some time out to reflect and  evaluate the successes and flaws of this years AFCON hosted by Cameroon. Do you see the just concluded AFCON as a huge improvement from the others we have seen? in what ways to you think the tournament can be made better before it is hosted again for the second time  by Ivory Coast in June 2023?

There is improvement in this concluded AFCON eventhough it had a shaky start but the end justified it. To successfully host a tournament of that magnitude in Africa and bring it to a conclusion with an applause is something to cheer. In addition to that I like the water bottle discovery of listed Senegalese players by the Egyptian goalkeeper and the way those players were expected to take their penalties. I like that level of preparation by the goalkeeper. Those who term it cheating are not correct. It is preparation.
1112  Economy / Speculation / Re: How come BTC is not at least $75,000 yet? on: February 08, 2022, 05:20:23 PM
The rich
The rich will always go to the bank and borrow the savings of the  poor and become richer.

Alot of people do not know this about the influence of the rich on the banks. But I disagree that the poor take their money to the bank. The poor do not have enough cash to operate an account. The little they get are kept in their homes for daily feeding and they do keep it under their pillows or under their beds. Those who have savings in the bank are not poor. They are average or middle income earners.

I no see any effect of the Bitcoin ban 4 9ja

The effect deh o. Maybe you deh talk like this because e no directly affect you. You know how many bank accounts weh CBN freeze, abi you think say na fake news from those weh complained? Another thing be say the fear of it make many people no gree rush enter crypto. If no be because of that ban many more people for don enter crypto by now.
1114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON - Finals. on: February 07, 2022, 02:18:14 AM
Nice one to Senegal winning the AFCON.

It was a great game with equal matching strength. Unfortunately my favoured team Egypt did not win this time around. Any game that goes into penalty shootouts after extra times shows that both teams  and coaches can read each other. Kudos to Senegal. At least this is Senegal's first AFCON win. It is like a world cup victory to them and they should enjoy the moment.
1115  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: February 06, 2022, 08:55:37 PM
One year dun pass since our government through CBN run this matter, i wan ask something, how una feel say this matter dun affect crypto for Nigeria for the past one year? Has our community been affected by this policy. Any possibility dey say our government go fit lock up this matter this year onto say election go soon reach and dem go want make body sweet us?

Na true talk o. So like play like play e doh reach one year weh CBN and that Godwin Emefiele ban Nigerians from trading cryptocurrency. Na anniversary weh e supposed be sef. I no go lie, that ban matter really discourage many people from doing cryptos as nobody want to do anything weh go make CBN ban them accounts.

senegal - egypt

who is betting that senegal will win the game?

who is betting that egypt will win the game?

I personally am more in favor of egypt winning this game

Am betting in favour of Egypt too. I do not know why am so convinced still that Egypt will win the trophy even during the quarter finals. My opinion has not changed still. The match is still ongoing and it is a goalless situation into the 75th minutes of play. Let us see if this also goes into extra time or the contest for superiority ends in this round.
1117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: School Students learning bitcoin basics in Slovakia.. on: February 06, 2022, 07:08:44 PM
Cryptocurrency is the future.

Those of us here know and understand that but can we also say that for those who are not in this forum? The answer will be divided between yes and no, for sure.

Getting the children prepared on how to learn the basics of Bitcoin at the early stage of their lives is very fantastic. By the time they grow a bit older, they will be able to learn how to control and invest in their future.

Parents should be mindful of when they introduce their children to bitcoin so as not to disrupt their learning focus. Anything that involves making money as investment should be restricted from children. Let children concentrate on their studies and when they get into high school of learning they can begin to learn trading and how to invest their cryptocurrency.
1118  Economy / Economics / Re: Life Insurance and Blockchain on: February 06, 2022, 05:51:13 PM
This is one of these areas that definitely could use the blockchain's immutability and transparency.

If people actually bothered to adopt blockchain technology in this field there will be a transformational increase in integrity of the system.

Africa should by all means adopt the blockchain in this as it will help to fight and prevent insurance scams the same way it should be adopted to checkmate pension fraud too. The so many scams resulting from this two sectors I mentioned is highly under reported. Heads of parastatals and ministries have ripped people off for so long a time and they have been getting away with that. Corruption in Africa now makes things like that and stealing look normal. This is bad. Blockchain technology should be applied in all this. Maybe it will put a stop to it as transparency will be guaranteed
1119  Economy / Economics / Re: Buy Crypto Or Have Fun Staying Poor! on: February 06, 2022, 07:10:38 AM
Buy crypto or have fun staying poor? I will answer Buy crypto then have fun.
Those of us who have been in the crypto world for a long time will definitely choose to buy crypto. But not with beginners, it will be a long journey for them to decide whether they invest in crypto or not. They certainly wouldn't be so quick to decide, unless they had a lot of courage.

For you to have eventually made up your mind and got into cryptos, that is the same way those you called beginners will also get to turn around and get into it at a point. Everyone has their own timing and pick. Cryptocurrency is not about who got in first that will be the first to hit the goldmine. Luck comes into play, we must not forget that.
1120  Economy / Economics / Re: No where is actually safe on: February 06, 2022, 05:50:25 AM
although one can attest to the fact crypto isn't ponzi

You can only be sure that bitcoin is not ponzi, but not the entire cryptos. Even with that there are people and establishments that also use bitcoin for ponzi schemes. It all depends. People use concepts differently and I do not see why it is a problem if they do same with cryptos. If we must say what is right, no financial investments gives the type of profit cryptocurrency gives. It has made many millionaire and set more free financially but people have to be careful going into it. Invest wisely to avoid regrets.
