1101  Economy / Reputation / Re: rby distrust me without any reason on: June 11, 2023, 02:36:28 PM
Helena, The first thing you need to accept is that you don't take things like this too personally.

Although the trust lists are public and everyone can see them, it is still some kind of personal opinion of each member. For some reason, rby felt that your opinion did not match his understanding, so he decided to put you on his distrust list. What is a solid reason for you, does not have to be the same for me or rby, or any member here.
I didn't taking any personal, no hard feelings, I always try to become objective. Example in this case where I leave a neutral feedback because there's no solid evidence even though there are DT members were leave negative feedback.

"Personal opinion of each other", I don't think it's correct when you distrust someone because of your disagreement, put on ignore list could be an option.

I just presented how JollyGood, with his trust list, explains to all the dissenters why he gave them a tilde. Smiley
OP, no one owes you anything. A person can put a tilde sign for any action, maybe rby does not want to trust you without any explanation, especially in public. And this is a better action than leaving reviews, which are sometimes without reason. Just accept the rule that you can't be loved by everyone.
JollyGood is an exception because he have contributed a lot, just like other controversial DT members.

If he don't want to trust me, it should be in the middle of trust and distrust which is neutral, if he distrust me that's mean he not trust everything I do in this forum. It's true any user can leave any feedback, include exclude someone in their trustlist, create flag etc, but everyone are always stick with this rule LoyceV's Beginners guide to correct use of the Trust system

Do's and Don'ts
  • Don't exclude users from your Trust list based on retaliation. It's okay to trust someone's judgement, even when he doesn't trust yours.
1102  Economy / Reputation / rby distrust me without any reason on: June 11, 2023, 10:06:55 AM
I distrust him because he give a positive feedback to bbigtart who was previously busted someone wearing double signature. Firstly he didn't give a positive feedback, but the first one is robelneo, I suggest him to change his positive feedback to neutral feedback, but after few posts I realized rby sent a positive feedback to and disagree with my point.

But two weeks later someone busted bbigtart was using AI to post, this make robelneo delete his positive feedback and rby change his positive feedback to neutral feedback.

I remember someone warned both of us, but we still proceeded to hand the positive feedback to the user for bursting scam Grin
I didn't delete my positive feedback, rather I turned it to neutral while being able to capture the AI writing as a reason to change feedback from positive to neutral.

I don't to be hard on my trust list, but I just want to wait for few months to see their progress either they will start to change their habit to leave a positive feedback to a worthy user or not. That's why I not exclude them when they already delete/change their positive feedback before.

Now the funny thing rby distrust me, without any solid reason!

~Helena Yu's judgement is Distrusted by:
1. NEW rby (Trust: neutral) (336 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)

He didn't reach my PM to talk about the reason I distrust him, so I'd better to open a new thread and explain it here.

Did I distrust or trust wrong user? did I leave an inappropriate feedback or flag? did I support or oppose a flag? show me.

This is retaliation distrust, can this be said as abuse of trust list?
1103  Economy / Economics / Re: To Hodl or Lend: What is your take? on: June 08, 2023, 05:21:57 AM
If I really want to make money out of anything by lending it out it will not be Bitcoin, I have to use a separate fund to buy Ethereum and stake it or lend it out for some rewards over time, it's true that there is no point holding your coins in your wallet for years when you can make more coins but I just don't like the idea because it's risky.
There's no difference either you use Bitcoin or Ethereum, if you stake your coins, it mean you're taking a risk to lose all of your coins. This mean you're still want to stake your coins, but with small amount of money.

if asked to choose to hold or lend my bitcoin, I prefer to hold it, even when the loan has collateral and a few percent interest. why is that? because I don't want the assets that I hold to be in the hands of other people, and when I need them, I can't sell or withdraw them directly.
You're not making any sense. If the borrower give a valid collateral, you don't need to worry because you can sell it if he can't pay back the loan. Usually the collateral is more valuable or expensive than the amount you lend, so you're making a profit.
1104  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cz or the Sec who would you support? on: June 08, 2023, 03:53:37 AM
I support Cz with reasons that binance has done alot to earn it's communities trust, helping millions of users in the crypto ecosystem, and has more durable marketing strategy whereas the Sec is government driven and wants to control everybody.
Do you think Binance doesn't want to control everybody? why did they force their customers to complete KYC verification when they were not?

Even though centralized exchange make people easier to buy Bitcoin and convert to fiat, but if people only know to buy Bitcoin must use a centralized exchange, doesn't know about private key or seed phrase as they only know email and password etc, it will confuse many newbies since they think there's no such be your own bank in Bitcoin.
1105  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Explain this to Me Like am a Five Year Old on: June 08, 2023, 03:28:12 AM
No one can answer it, because it's full of speculation and conspiracy, we can only make a guess.

No one know what SEC is trying to get in this case and as you know human is really hard to understand.

SEC is just crackdown on Binance, that's.

What anyone should do is move their money to a non custodial wallet and try to learn to use a decentralized exchange or P2P sites to make sure you're invulnerable against of centralization.
1106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am only trying to stay safe by gambling less on: June 07, 2023, 02:52:06 PM
Both gambling and investing in bitcoins are risky but the difference is that if you lose gambling your funds will be gone immediately and your balance will be zero. But if you invest in Bitcoin, even if the price of Bitcoin goes down, you can hold it for a long time and at some point it will recover your losses and give you a profit. So investing in Bitcoin and gambling are not the same.  Investing in bitcoins will save you some money but gambling and losing will not save your money in any way. So if you can stay away from gambling it will be great for you but you can continue to invest in Bitcoin but in this case you must be patient and hold Bitcoin for long time.
Yeah, as long as you still hold and not sell your Bitcoin during dump season, you're not lose, but it's still an unrealized lose.

The @OP is promoting gambling site, it's hilarious if he need to stay away from gambling because he need to gamble, exploring and know about it as his campaign need to post in gambling section. If @OP want to stay away from gambling, he need to avoid anything related with gambling in the first place. But it doesn't mean gambling is bad, gambling is good if you have a good self control and money management.
1107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is There A Bitcoin Exchange That Pays Most of Fees for You? on: June 07, 2023, 02:29:05 PM
No Bitcoin exchange pays the fee for us as the fee will be deducted from our total withdrawal.
And if that's the case, your withdrawal amount will decrease but it's okay if you withdraw a large amount of money.
As far as I know, the exchange doesn't take up to 2 days to receive your Bitcoin because that's what I experienced.
For the fees, we can't resist high transaction fees because the exchange has to adjust the transaction fees according to the conditions that occur on the network.
To deal with high fees, you need to be patient and wait until the transaction costs can go down but if you are not willing to wait, you have to pay high fees.
The exchange only adjust the fee when the current condition on the network is increase, if the network is empty and back to normal, they will not reduce their fee. If they will adjust the fee every second with the current condition on the network, no one will complain about the high fee on centralized exchange.

The reason why withdrawal on centralized exchange is fast because the fee they charge are more than the cost of high priority fee.
1108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 07, 2023, 01:59:40 PM
Its a very good news for Liverpool fans that Mac Allister just signed the contract. The transfer fee is just 35m euro.
It can’t believes that Liverpool signed a world class player only 35m. Liverpool knows the transfer policy very well.
I say it surly that no other teams can make it happens with this transfer fees. Its a big deal for Liverpool. They will sign two more midfielder’s to competitive the PL tittle and back to the champions League in next season.
I think Mac Allister will prove himself so early with the best team in England.
Brighton is stupid to let Mac Allister join Liverpool for only 35M Euros, they should earn more than that. Brighton is bad to negotiate with other team about their player, they need to learn from Atletico Madrid where Atletico Madrid tend to find a loophole to make money from their players.

Even Liverpool reject Brighton's offer due to too high, I don't see anything wrong for Mac Allister to keep playing in Brighton, just wait until other team interested to spend big amount of money.
1109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 07, 2023, 01:53:36 PM
Haaland is slowly approaching Ronaldo's record one of the top scorers in the premier league even in its first season including several hattrick
If Haaland stays longer at Manchester City I'm sure he can achieve all categories, this season Haaland has the opportunity to get a new record as the top scorer of the Champions League so far he has collected 12 goals and has no competitors.
I laugh when someone compare the current best player statistic with Messi or Ronaldo.

Ronaldo was playing when there so many good players and yet he still able to give a good result. While Haaland is playing when those best players are pension or not prime anymore, there are many regenerations, but they are not in the same level like when Ronaldo's faced.

1111  Economy / Economics / Re: SEC is in Action After Suing Binance, Here Comes Coinbase Exchange on: June 06, 2023, 02:08:56 PM
Now the Bitcoin price already hit $25K, it looks like SEC want to buy a cheap Bitcoin by suing many top popular exchanges.

I thought Coinbase already registered or regulated in US because AFAIK Coinbase is really strict and serve US territory citizens, but I've search and found if they're not registered or regulated yet.

Coinbase, Inc. is licensed to engage in virtual currency business activity by the New York State Department of Financial Services. Coinbase, Inc. is not registered or licensed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission or the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
1112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 06, 2023, 01:57:49 PM
I think even in this case Manchester City's probability is much bigger than inter but to say that Inter doesn't have the power to stop Manchester City I think this is a wrong assumption.
Even though in this case we can also see how Manchester City's current condition doesn't mean Inter can't do anything, it's just that in this case the situation is more difficult for Inter than City but that doesn't mean City can win easily.
Yeah there's always a chance regardless how small or big the probability is, Inter have beat many teams before, if they're weak they wouldn't able reach into final match. We shouldn't underestimate Inter, if the result is draw, the winner will be definitely 50/50 because anything can happen in penalty stage, luck will play. There are many good players missed in penalty.
1113  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 5 Advantages of Bitcoin Casinos vs. Traditional Casinos on: June 06, 2023, 01:38:22 PM
It’s a legitimate question. What a traditional casino says it does and what it does could be two different things. Bitcoin casinos operate via transparency. You know true odds when you wager in a Bitcoin casino.
Although traditional casino don't give a quick update of the odds change, but this could be a reason why some people prefer to gamble on traditional casino because the odds might be higher or lower from the other casino.

It would take 51% of all nodes to steal a transaction. By 51%, we mean thousands of computers would have to decide to steal the same transaction.
You're talking about Bitcoin, not Bitcoin casino!

If you talk about 51% attack we should discuss Bitcoin vs altcoins or Bitcoin vs fiat, not compare two casinos.

Variety of games is a sign of an honest casino. The more games there are, the more ways players can win.
What kind of joke this is, a scam casino can just add 2-3 gambling providers and they will have 100+ variety of games. After someone deposit a lot money and they win, just block the withdrawal and abandon it.
1114  Economy / Gambling / Re: lucky block casino locked my account for no reason demanding kyc funds lost on: June 06, 2023, 01:11:29 PM
Lucky block casino, seems don't have any ANN thread in this forum, so complaining in this forum will not accelerate your problem, but thanks for the heads up, this make people aware of this scam casino.

There are many Curosao licensed casinos that have been operating successfully for many years. Of course the Maltese license gives more confidence
But gamblers are don't like a strict rules, that's why Curacao license is more preferred than other strict license with better safety and service. I think when the casino turn become scam, people will not really care and they let their money go away since they can't do anything.
1115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Things that still make feel awkward with some online casinos on: June 05, 2023, 12:02:11 PM
Because most of centralized sites have a slow update and if many gamblers willing to pay such high fee, why they need to adjust with the current mempool? they can earn more money from the additional Bitcoin which not used for pay to the miner.

You should let know the live support at that time and wait until they adjust it, if the site is trusted, I think it's still safe to leave your funds for next few months.
1116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 05, 2023, 11:58:52 AM
Money plays a good role in forming a strong.  Let take a look a Manchester City, their success is because they pump in money to get the best players. Without money a team will only manage average players and which it won't be possible to get the best performance from their results.
True, but not entirely correct.

Manchester City sign most of their best players around 60 Million Euros, the highest is Jack Grealish which need to spent for 100 Million Euros. While Chelsea sign most of their current best players around 75 Million Euros, the highest is Enzo Fernandez which need to spent for 120 Million Euros.

With such huge transfer, Chelsea need to be at least top 2 in Premier League table, but they're in 12th place.
1117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 05, 2023, 11:51:17 AM
Lol after Benzema is leaving Real Madrid, now there are a lot rumor of every striker in other clubs could join Real Madrid Cheesy

I think Ronaldo will join Real Madrid Tongue

Kai Havertz, not a good striker despite he's young, Real Madrid only want a player with fantastic performance.

Harry Kane, a good striker which can't leave Tottenham due to many factors.

There's still no solid rumor who will replace Benzema position.
1118  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: IS ATOMIC WALLET HACK OR SCAM? 🔴 Immediately Withdraw your Funds on: June 05, 2023, 06:36:46 AM
Is there any open source wallet for altcoins also because most of newbies are holding Altcoins and ratio of btc holder are very less? I think My ether wallet (MEW) is best one for storing Altcoins.
There's not many reviews to proof if MyEtherWallet is completely open source, so I don't really know about it. But I know Unstoppable wallet is open source and it support altcoins, even though only big marketcap altcoins. What people don't like in this wallet is you need to spend more data and time to sync your wallet.

Crypto users should learn how to use wallets to keep their funds safe, so that their hard-earned money does not end up in the hands of scammers in the future.
It's kind of stupid how they hold their hard earned money on an unsecure hot wallet, they need to learn about using a hardware wallet.
1119  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: LOAN NOT PAID BACK on: June 05, 2023, 06:27:09 AM
Sadly I did not think anyone would cheat somebody for $55. That´s not how my parents teach me how life works when I did grow up.
But of course I  know nothing is 100% but he did talk me over at Telegram and also I think a 5 years old account was not worth leaving behind for $55.
(I did not know so much about merit, rankings & signature campaings at the start)
I'd say how long the account has been in this forum can't used to trust someone.

But you're not wrong for trusting him because he have 2 positive feedback before, I think other user would also think the user could be trusted for $55. So you're just in bad luck, there's always a risk someone will scam even though they have many positive feedback, participate in signature campaign or have a good reputation.

Don't be surprised, a newbie account could cheat you as low as $1.
1120  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: June 04, 2023, 02:44:07 PM
I don't think AI can beat the house, it's just a program and AFAIK casinos don't allow their gamblers to use such robots or bots, so AI is fall in this category. If you're really on AI to beat the house and you can make an easy money, you're wrong because gambling is full of luck. If the result isn't like your expectation, you will be angry and you're want to recover your losses, in the end you will lose all of your money.
