11022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now you can use Bitcoin to pay for your hotel in Vegas on: August 12, 2014, 11:09:09 AM
The Golden gate and The D have accepted bitcoins As of this year, just as was at the D last week, the hotel and their restaurants accept BTC. The BAR and the games do not take BTC but they do have a RoboCoin ATM on site so it is not a huge issue.

WOW very interesting info.
I guess some people will be very interesting in this offer.
I find also interesting that hotel in Vegas first offered Bitcoin, it seems for them any currency is good currency Smiley

Ima li netko informaciju u svezi Stunine signature kampanje, da li će se mijenjati što ovog mjeseca, 17-og?
Da li Stuna planira potpuno novu kampanju i pod kojim uvjetima?
Hvala!
11024  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you a real decision maker ? on: August 12, 2014, 10:54:03 AM
I think each of us is leader in some way, at least on family level.
You have to lead and make decisions on daily basic for you, wife, kids, parents, job and this makes you leader.
If you are good or bad in this role is another question, of course .)
11025  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What good things has Obama had since he is elected ? on: August 12, 2014, 10:48:07 AM
OK President Obama is probably not the best US president in history but at least he is better than Pres. Bush.
He didn't rush in the new wars, tried to start peace talk in Israel and Palestine. tried to make friends with partners in Europe...
He didn't make some big success until now but still at least he tried to make some positive changes and this, in my opinion, makes him better than some other president in the near future.

11026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No, Bitcoin Wasn't Created By The CIA on: August 12, 2014, 09:35:44 AM
LakeBTC really very good and informative post, thank you for sharing.
If I can add something to your great article, it also doesn't make sense that CIA will create something what, in the long term, can ruin their own currency and banking system.

I'm very sad because of this news.
I really was fun of Robin Williams.
Rest in peace.
11028  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is anyone following the Israel & Palestine Situation. on: August 12, 2014, 09:17:28 AM
Once again, Hamas is violating the ceasefire and provoking the IDF.

http://edition.cnn.com/2014/08/07/world/meast/mideast-crisis/

They provoke the IDF by launching attacks against the Israeli settlements, and then whine once the Israelis retaliate.

They didn't violate the ceasefire; but they did say they wouldn't renew it if the negotiations didn't meet their demands. To be honest, I don't see this ending anytime soon, unless the blockade is lifted (or at least greatly eased).

I'm also not optimistic that any positive changes will happen soon.
It seems that both Hamas and Israel have good reasons to continue fight.
Hamas can control people (and stay in power), just if they are under attack and hopeless.
For Israel government this is good  way to show to their people that they are strong and they will do everything in order to protect them.
This will raise their popularity and help them in the next elections.

11029  Other / Off-topic / Re: It's Official! Everything connected to the internet can be hacked. on: August 12, 2014, 08:56:52 AM
Who is doing the hacking?

Government or malicious users?

I guess both of them.
Government want to spy everyone and control everything.
Malicious users want your info in order to steal money or other valuable info from you.
11030  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World War III on: August 11, 2014, 08:28:50 PM
BRICS is economical alliance, not a military one. However, there is a possible basis for the second version of Eastern bloc:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shanghai_Cooperation_Organisation

But there are not enough member states yet.

Such an alliance would become a military one if a massive war starts, or I think it would.

I don't think that BRICS countries will ever build military alliance.
They may have similar economic interest but their politics viewpoints (or political system) are not similar.
This can change over time but now, China and other countries have real interest for trade with USA and cooperation, not conflict.
11031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is what's needed to help the adoption of bitcoin on: August 11, 2014, 08:20:11 PM
We need many more ways to spend Bitcoin and many more ways to withdraw Bitcoin.
Also, we need very good Bitcoin promotion so that many more people 'join the club'' Smiley
When this happen, some real changes will start.

11033  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 'Become Muslims by noon today... or we kill all of you' on: August 11, 2014, 07:57:20 PM

When we went into Iraq we had no understanding of the tribal and sect situation and the aftermath showed in in a very glaring way. Perhaps a republic type of system with representation from all areas would have worked better than the current system of one sect or another being the ruling party.

For the current situation there is no real clear solution. We can drop bombs or send in drones etc. but American power being brought to bear in that country tends to send ordinary people in the other direction.

Exactly, and what makes this situation even worst, is that Libya might become the second ISIS land, and from there spread conflict areas like they did here to Sudan/south Sudan, Mali...

Yes, this is real danger right now.
Unfortunately, this ''Arab's spring'' didn't bring freedom and stability in this region but chaos and instability.
I'm afraid that other countries in this region can fail in politic chaos as well.
11034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Living off of Bitcoins on: August 11, 2014, 07:48:09 PM
This summer has been great i literally have been living off of BTC. I'm a program coordinator i work for public schools so we dont work ini the summer. I was able to buy food buy clothes and just today get limited liability insurance without working this summer lol. Course i had to trade them for usd but i cant wait for the day where we pay everything with BTC. I never would've thought in a million years lol

There are quite a few sites accepting bitcoin for food, clothes etc. You should check out www.thebitcoinpage.com. It has a huge list of websites that accept btc (and they keep updating it).

Thank you for this info, it's great to see this list.
Bitcoin is really becoming mainstream and very soon we will live very well from our Bitcoin we collect now Smiley
11035  Other / Off-topic / Re: You are a planet, you are the sun on: August 11, 2014, 07:34:34 PM
Yes, I agree with this.
In fact, from religious perspective, Jesus said the very same thing, that we are God's temple and that our body is holy and that we should love and protect our body and love and protect nature around us Smiley
11036  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World War III on: August 11, 2014, 07:27:20 PM
In my opinion World War III started right after WW II, back in 1945, (Cold war).
USSR always was against NATO and EU, and specially against democracy and western values.
Putin just continued this policy, nothing really changed much from that time in 1945.
Of course Russia have little different political system now (and USSR collapsed as well) and also Russia have new political leaders but their goal is still the same, to defeat West (and restore USSR if possible, in this process), in any possible way.
They want to become main military and political power in the world, it's obvious.
11037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why don't people under ISIS rule buy bitcoin? on: August 11, 2014, 07:16:28 PM
http://www.panture.com/bitcoin-could-financially-liberate-citizens-under-isis-rule/

I see people from Iraq and Syria on the internet, it's not like it's shut down. When terrorists come to your down asking for a tax, just show them that you have nothing. All you have to do is hide your private key, or use an online wallet like Coinbase. Using something like PayPal or Western Union can be risky, as terrorists are aware of it, and those services don't like doing business with those citizens anyways for obvious reasons.

We need to focus on educating people in third world countries more, that is where bitcoin can do the most good.

In my opinion, this terrorist, at least their average members, are not very smart and also not kind people as well.
They will not ask you anything, they will took anything they find in your house and destroy your computer as ''devil's tool or something like that.
I don't expect that with this crazy people is possible some reasonable talk.

11038  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does God judge the nations? on: August 11, 2014, 07:02:22 PM
Back to the original question Smiley
Does God judge the nations?
In my humble opinion God judge people, not nations, but there are exceptions in Bible.
If some country try to harm people or nation chosen by God (like Israel in the old testament) in order to protect his chosen people, God will destroy enemy nation.
It seems that old testament really was very brutal time but in the New testament situation is opposite.
We have just teaching, by Jesus, about love and forgiveness.
Personally, I much more like this part of Bible Smiley

11039  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Poll: Who Should Be the First Woman On a Modern Dollar Bill? on: August 11, 2014, 06:53:23 PM
I think that Eleanor Roosevelt will be good choice.
She was not only ''first lady'' but also true political leader, respected by others.
She was the first women with the real influence in politic arena.
11040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe that the CIA/FBI/NSA were behind the scenes created by Bitcoin??? on: August 11, 2014, 06:41:14 PM
It seems that people really like this conspiracy theories and fantastic stories.
But, let's go back to the facts.
what will be real interest for any of this organization to start alternative currency to US dollars?
Maybe they want to ruin their own currency?
Or they don't trust their own banks?
or some other hidden agenda?
Can anybody really believe in this nonsense?
