11041  Other / Off-topic / Re: I just donated to Wikipedia. Using Bitcoin. on: August 10, 2014, 07:34:42 PM
This is really very good news for Bitcoin community.
Wikipedia finally recognize Bitcoin as great way to raise more money for their work.
I hope others will follow soon.
11042  Economy / Economics / Re: Would u pay in bitcoin? on: August 10, 2014, 07:27:15 PM
Yes, I would.
If everybody just hold bitcoin and never spend, why merchants or anybody would want to offer bitcoin as payment option?
Of course, I will spend my Bitcoin wisely, and try to save something for the future Smiley
11043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Anonymity so important to you? on: August 10, 2014, 07:22:07 PM
Why Anonymity so important to you?
Well, I believe in financial freedom and don't want to pay any taxes to my local tax office for something what is my investment and financial future Smiley
11044  Other / Off-topic / Re: The most dangerous creature of our planet on: August 10, 2014, 05:02:23 PM
In my opinion, we, humans, are The most dangerous creature of our planet, definitely.
When we see damage people made in this planet, climate changes, extinct animal and plant species due to human activity, it's not hard really to answer this question.
11045  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think about the actual world conflicts? on: August 10, 2014, 04:58:31 PM
Hey folks,

what do you think about the recent conflicts (russia, ukrain)
and espescially the middle east conflict??

regards,
bitsta

In my opinion, this is another ''cold war'' in progress, and Russia and USA fight over influence in this areas(specially Ukraine is the target).
Middle east conflict is even more complex, since 1948 when UK left this territory and UN was unable to find working political solution for this area.
Now, I don't think that we will see solution to this conflicts soon because it seems nobody is really interesting in peace bnow, after xso much bloodshed.
11046  Economy / Economics / Re: Social Convention and Network Effects on: August 10, 2014, 04:53:27 PM
1) What makes you accept and use Bitcoin?
2) Why do you give value to Bitcoin as a currency?

I accept Bitcoin because I think that Bitcoin is the future, more convenient way to pay for different digital services and products and because people more and more want financial freedom, privacy and protection and Bitcoin is perfect solution for this issues.
11047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wikipedia Raises 237 BTC Through Donations In One Week on: August 10, 2014, 04:46:26 PM
The WikkiLeaks founder had said in a news interview a few months ago that if it was not for their investment in BTC several years ago they would likely have not been able to survive. They had purchased several thousand BTC for pennies and sold it near it's highs. The moral of the story is that dollars are not the only thing that can support a foundation.
[/quote]

Very interesting info, thank you for sharing.
Such testimonies, plus successful Bitcoin donation campaign for Wikipedia, really can help global popularity of bitcoin.
It's obvious that many business owners and merchants are still not aware of the great benefit Bitcoin can bring to their business.
It's good that at least Wikipedia realize that, better sooner than later Smiley
11048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best age to introduce your kids to Bitcoin? on: August 10, 2014, 03:16:52 PM
As soon as they can read and start to work on computer, you can introduce your kids to Bitcoin, but just gibe basic info.
If you think that Bitcoin is good investment, you can start collecting Bitcoin for them and help their financial future.
11049  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best site for earning btc using signature? on: August 10, 2014, 03:10:54 PM
Primedice is the only one I have considered at the moment so professional and generally a good site to promote anyway I love using primedice and most of my earnings are lost on the site anyway  Cool

I can confirm that Primedice is the most professional and the best signature campaign on this forum.
Some other signature campaigns promised more but never delivered.
11050  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 45 reported killed as airliner crashes near Tehran's Mehrabad airport (VIDEO) on: August 10, 2014, 03:02:49 PM
Airplanes seem to be falling out of the sky like ripe apples lately, and not just any planes, there seems to be a pattern to it...

Yes, it seems that traveling with the airplanes is not the safe as before.
To many crashes this year, so many unexpected events...
I think that this will not help airplanes companies and their business.
11051  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin be Blamed for the Coming Economic Collapse? on: August 10, 2014, 02:58:28 PM
no, it's the contrary bitcoin is the savior of the economy, bitcoin is a good refuge for your money

Bitcoin is still not at this stage.
It may be in 10, 20 years but right now it's still very early stage of Bitcoin.
In fact, nobody can predict what will happen with Bitcoin in the future.
bitcoin can become, as you say, the savior of the economy, but also can become financial lost, so don't invest more than you can afford to loose.
11052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wife is pregnant, how to incorporate bitcoin into the process? on: August 10, 2014, 02:52:18 PM
Congratulation for the great news!!!
If I will be you, I will use part of Bitcoin to cover first expenses you will have soon.
For the rest, I will open separate account- wallet and keep this Bitcoin for child.
In 18 years this can be huge value and maybe pay for his tuition at college, new house, car Smiley
11053  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is that? on: August 10, 2014, 02:41:35 PM
anyone eat this?  Huh

I visited Korea several times and I can confirm that they eat this regularly, every day, even more strange things than you can see on this photo Smiley
11054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin changing my ideology from socialism to libertarianism! What about you? on: August 10, 2014, 02:31:45 PM
I wonder how he would react if I would mix up "soviet socialism" and "socialism"?
This mix was tested already. Hungarian socialism aka gulyáskommunizmus worked quite well, it was the most advanced economy in the eastern bloc.

Care to explain how Hungarian socialism is any different from the mix we have today?
Hungarian socialism was socialism with limited free market economics. Today we have social liberalism with limited free market economics.

And I don't think any of these "mixes" have ever worked quite well.

Yes, I agree with this.
It seems that Orban following footsteps of Putin.
In his hands is all political and economic power.
He control Media, parliament, supreme court etc.
It will be really interesting to see for how long Orban will be able to continue such politics, contrary to the regulations of EU.
I Hungary we have now something like state socialism.
11055  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you do if you received 20 bitcoins? on: August 10, 2014, 02:13:25 PM
Well, very easy question Smiley
I will buy a great vacation trip for me and my wife, maybe visit China, Tibet, Kenya (safari) etc.
Part of money I will keep because I expect that bitcoin will raise in value in coming years but surely that part of it I will spend for great vacation!
11056  Other / Off-topic / Re: General Football Discussion on: August 10, 2014, 02:05:36 PM
Any of you watch Turkish teams? Beşiktaş is great this year. They passed Feyenoord in CL qualifications but they have no chance in drawings. They found the best team again, Arsenal. It's very hard to eliminate Arsenal, probably they move on to Europa League. Today in friendly they won against both Fenerbahçe and Chelsea 1-0. Matches were 45 minutes, it was for helping Soma incident.

I like Besiktas because I am Croatian and their manager is Slaven Bilic. Are you big Besiktas fan? What's your opinion on Bilic?

I like Bilic, since from the time he was leading Croatian national team.
He was very good player, now is very good manager and very special personality and character.

Bilic is like Prime Minister for us. All fans wanted Bilic even 2 years ago. This chairman Fikret Orman bring him us. (Actually it was Önder Özen's decision but everybody is happy right now.)
We will definitely be the champion this year.

Yes, I think that you have good chances this year.
You didn't have luck in Champions league because you get the most difficult team- Arsenal but I think that you still have chances to win.
Good luck Smiley
11057  Other / Politics & Society / Re: US health care mandate (Obamacare) on: August 10, 2014, 01:52:15 PM
The path to hell is paved with good intentions.  Obama espoused his good intentions of having everybody covered for a low cost.  The reality is this cannot happen, especially when all other insurance in the US is for catastrophes - not day to day expenses.  Health insurance shouldn't cover well child visits or annual checkups - those the patient should be paying for.... but that would require the patient be responsible for their own fricking body - something I see in less than 20% of my patients now.
I don't think it was so much a good intention, but rather a way to spread his liberal ideals of having a big government. He knew that people would not be able to keep their health plan, yet he promised that people would be able to do so. He raised taxes on everyone in order to pay for this new social program.
He said the average family would save $2500.

They didn't.

My plan more than doubled in cost.

I really hope that Obamacare program will eventually succeed in USA, in the present or modified form, now or later in the future.
I have many friends in uSA and their biggest concern is what will happen if they become sick because they can't afford health care.
You call this universal health care socialism but for us, in Europe, this is perfectly normal, that government provide basic health care for everyone.
If you want better health service, you pay.

11058  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really believe that Bitcoin will hit 1,000,000 on: August 10, 2014, 01:21:19 PM
I don't expect such value for Bitcoin, at least not in short term future- next 10 years.
I think many early adopters will be very happy even if value of bitcoin raise to 10 000 in a next 2-3 years and 1 000 until the end of this year.
If Bitcoin ever hit 1,000,000 something extraordinary should happen, either that bitcoin become official currency in some big country (and replace other official currency) or some other ''great and extraordinary'' event.

11059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Spending Bitcoin? on: August 10, 2014, 01:08:20 PM
Yes I spending Bitcoin and don't see what is the problem with this.
If nobody spend Bitcoin, for buying digital services and products, merchants will not be interesting to accept bitcopin as additional currency.
Trade can just help global popularity of Bitcoin, so it's not wrong to spend it Smiley
11060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's brave/stupid enough to invest their life savings into Bitcoin? on: August 09, 2014, 02:57:04 PM
Any business, no matter how big or important, even national banks and huge world companies, even countries, can financially collapse at any moment.
So, to invest everything in something at such early stage, as bitcoin, will be foolish.
Invest just amount you can afford to loose.
