I have a question and I am a little concerned about it. When I downloaded the Monero Core for Windows 64bit version the SHA hash do not match. Did someone change it without notifying everyone?
I advice that everyone not to use the one for Windows 64bit.
Which SHA did you check? You need to check SHA-256. By default, Windows checks SHA-1. It checks out here: I downloaded a new hash utility. It's ok now everything checks out. It's weird because the online hash utility I used checks everything out except the Windows 64bit version. Must be something wrong with their site.

Please do not do that. It will only make people hope for nothing. They way the price is going there are many ETC holders that want to get out and maybe the miners are not willing to hold the coin. Maybe the miners see ETC as a way to make them save their ETH from being traded to BTC by selling all ETC and part of their ETH to maintain their mining rigs and pay electricity bills.

The people of Monero should provide the volume in Bitsquare. The last time I have seen it there was nothing happening in the exchange. Hiring market makers to accommodate people from the darkmarket selling and buying XMR might be a good idea. It will also help start the market activity in Bitsquare with XMR as the "star" currency making it become in the center of attraction again. I hope the Monero whales will have a long term game plan like that.

How can you mine it when it is POS? You need a big stake to support the network and earn coins. So it would be very much more useful for your rigs to start mining other coins. If you have not heard of the latest news yet I suggest you read about XMR and their acceptance in the darknet market place.

I speculate that Ardor will not fly. It will also be like NXT where there is an initial interest and then after that the interest will wane and the coin will go nowhere in price. Maybe the grassroots model will not work with what they are trying to achieve. The market they are trying to reach is for companies and start ups to use their platform. The problem is maybe those companies they are after think that the NXT platform is not good enough for what those companies require?
The better road for the grassroots model is to go after the darknet market. It has been proven successful with bitcoin and now recently XMR is trying to penetrate the darknet. Maybe NXT/Ardor should too.

I still thinks its coming back to 21k range. I'll leave my orders set even if it takes a year.
Sure you will. The troll whale himself does not want Lisk to crash. My theory is he merely wants to control the rise. The minute traders are showing signs that they will pump and dump it he puts the wall up to make them leave.
This is quite a development among sellers. I would have thought that they would switch slowly to XMR instead of doing it right away. I have a question. Let us say I am a seller in the darknet. I now hold XMR in my wallet and would like to cash out some into BTC. So I transfer some to Shapeshift. Will my transactions be traced by snoopers online? What would be a secure, anonymous way to trade XMR to BTC online?
I noticed that he removes it when buyers start eating into his wall. So I think he is not really serious in making the price of Lisk fall. I think it is good that he is trying to control the price of Lisk from the pump and dumpers. He is actually doing as a favor by giving us more time to accumulate more.
Well it looks like the wall is not around. Does anyone already know what his motivation is for stopping LSK's rise? I think it is very counterproductive what he is doing. It would be better to support the coin so that he can sell at a higher price.

@roselee. It is still a very tough situation to be in. We as holders and supporters are against all odds that ETC will survive in the 1st year. The price is falling and there is a threat of the attacker dumping his coins. That will have an effect on the investors' confidence and it will make them avoid buying ETC. Also the falling hash power is another reason to be worried.

Can anyone give me a step by step guide about the light wallet? I clicked "create" but nothing happens. Do I need to do something else before I can create a wallet using the light client? Please help me.

When the news came out that the darknet will accept XMR, it suddenly became a good candidate in my opinion. Maybe we will see the 2nd coin to reach $100 in 2 years? I believe so. The darknet has one of the fastest growing markets that could be in the billions of $ in the coming years.
No darknet is accepting XMR cause of the security flaws it has. I wouldn't touch it. I don't mind other do though...the market will be rolled up pretty soon.
What security flaws are you talking about? I thought those were exposed and fixed with the help of John Connor?

if darknet markets have this much influence then why ain't they creating their own coins and accepting nothing but them? there'd be a whole lot more money in it.
after bitcoin, i cant believe there are people skeptical about DNM influence.... Yes. It can be argued that BTC's value was first derived from the darknet. Before it what market did BTC really have? Nothing. It was only useful in the darknet because it was very convenient and there was no need for banks. Now XMR is following the footsteps of the king and they still cannot or maybe will not accept that XMR is on the right track.

If you get a refund then this will be a first in the cryptosphere. But it is very doubtful that you will. If VOX is a scam then say goodbye to your BTC. There will be know way scammer will return the BTC to the scammee. It does not work that way.

They are funded for years, so they won't have to sell any of the foundation's ethereum. They could sell their personal stash but that's not related to foundation's money. I can feel you're starting to regret buying ETC as you can see it slowly being dumped.
They are not funded for years. Last year there was already news that they are running out of funds. This was when they made the Frontier release of Ethereum. Vitalik was calling out for more support from the community. It was almost like he was saying that he is leaving part of the development with the community because they cannot continue it anymore. Their burn rate is high. I do not know how they spend all that money. They were short of funds last year as they have a lot of Ethereum and the ETH price was low. Now, even the ETC price was higher than last year's ETH price. So they are rich now. Yes that is what I am saying. They will have to sell the ETH premine to fund and maintain the development. What do you think will that do to the price of ETH?

@thejaytiesto maybe the darknet should accept more coins to satisfy the demand? What do you think?
I think it would make sense to do it and maybe create an interledger for the darknet so that they can be exchanged from blockchain to blockchain. But is that even possible?
@bathrobehero but sometimes it is very hard to determine this because the prices of the promising coin does not rise and the scamcoin rises because of different reasons, maybe marketing is one. Also this forum does not help us in choosing what to hold because one would say XMR is a scam then the other would say Dash is the scam. Sometimes even some people would say BTC is a scam! They even call it BitcOn.

xmr is useless
Not anymore when the darknet starts to accept it. XMR will have the 2nd largest economy after BTC by the year 2018. The trading of drugs and illegal items in the darknet is expanding and the market is global. If there is a market that a coin should penetrate it is the darknet.
