11061  Economy / Lending / Re: 1 btc loan needed - multiple investors ok - possible high payout on: January 09, 2016, 07:38:30 PM
But in a nutshell, if you roll a 100 sided die over 300 times and have not yet rolled a 100,
the odds are more favorable that you will roll one soon.

Wow - you know nothing about probability.

If I roll a 100 sided dice 300 times, and never once roll a 100, the chances of me rolling a 100 on the next roll is still 1/100

The chances of my rolling a 100 on any roll is 1 out of 100, no matter how many times the 100 has not come up.

If the world was run this way there would be no stock markets, loans or lotteries at all.  Good way to run things!

Bullshit.  Stock Markets, loans and lotteries are backed by the law and consequences if you cheat.

You are an anonymous account asking for irreversible currency.   It's the wild west in comparison.

Even if you won, chances of you keeping your word and paying out 12btc is slim to none.  You'd just make a new account.
11063  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Verbal Agreements Escrow Service (To help against scam/fraud) on: January 09, 2016, 07:29:12 PM
Also, your service relies heavily on people obeying the law or facing legal consequences.  History has shown us that people are not willing to sue the other party, even if their identity is known.  Everyone just walks away.

Also, a scammer could easily have/pay a friend/stranger to record their voice for them, thereby having a different voice for each scam they commit.
11064  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Verbal Agreements Escrow Service (To help against scam/fraud) on: January 09, 2016, 07:19:34 PM
Have you thought about the use of free voice changing applications?  What happens if a person has a cold?

Also, nothing forces a user to use their real name.  All you have is the sound of their voice.  Who would spend time listening to all the scam voices to figure out if the voice they are listening to is not a scammer?

Interesting idea though.  Smiley
11065  Other / Off-topic / Re: 10 Million powerball entries on: January 09, 2016, 04:26:59 PM
Ok, I will make you a bet now.  If one of your numbers wins the jackpot, I will send you 10,000 satoshis.  If you don't match the winning combination, you send me 10,000 satoshis.

Deal?

Not really fair - you are 29.2 times more likely to win than he is.  You should offer at least 20 to 1 odds.   Wink
11066  Other / Off-topic / Re: 10 Million powerball entries on: January 09, 2016, 04:00:48 PM
I created 10 million powerball entries for tonight's drawing and put them in a file. The sha256 of that file is the private key to 1rn4UCAmX5vK4JdRtEZr84EPiBX8nzVoj, which I deposited 0.0001 btc as proof the file existed before the drawing.

I'll check my numbers and release the private key if I win (along with file location for proof).

Odds: 292 million to 1, so I'm still a huge underdog.

Good luck!  Interesting to see if you will be lucky or not.   Smiley
11067  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Senior Member - cheap on: January 09, 2016, 03:56:41 PM
0.15 ...negotiable.  Let me know via PM or here.

Obviously there is no senior member account - any coins sent to this newbie account will just be a donation.

Unsure?  Ask him if he will escrow.  The answer will be no, and he will make up some excuse as to why not.
11068  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Hero Member Accounts on: January 09, 2016, 03:54:32 PM
Obviously this new account was created to scam 0.1btc - probably a lot of money to him for the little work involved.

Do not send the coins directly to him, no matter what he posts, for you will not see them again.
11069  Other / Meta / Re: Asking for funding a project not allowed? on: January 09, 2016, 03:48:39 PM
Oh wait, I think I made a mistake.

I thought I posted that to "Project Development" and instead I posted it to "Development & Technical Discussion".

Sorry if that's the case.

11070  Other / Archival / Re: Looking for Loan/Partner to increase stock (From 0.50 to 5 BTC). Have Collateral on: January 09, 2016, 03:44:54 PM
So, has ANYBODY received any funds in escrow, or is this user collecting various "loans" promising escrow but not delivering?
11071  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should this Op of this thread get negged ? on: January 09, 2016, 03:19:34 PM
I'm trying to end this dispute by reversing everything to its original state, I'm not sure what your problem is.

Have you paid out the bounty yet as you stated you would?  48 hours came and went three months ago.   Undecided
11072  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Possible Serious Loan Opportunity on: January 09, 2016, 11:40:29 AM
I don't see how that's not a valid collateral, MoneyPot apps can easily be transferred, as well I'd have a talk with admins to explain the transferal. If you see any loopholes please PM them to me as there are none. It's like sending Bitcoin, once it's yours its yours unless you get hacked. I personally think it's a completely valid collateral, why would it not be?

You don't see how you could work with your admins and totally cut the lender off once you received the coins?   Huh

It's not valid collateral.

You'd have to transfer the domain and all the hosting to a neutral third party.  Even then you could simply register a new name and copy your code.
11073  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should this Op of this thread get negged ? on: January 09, 2016, 11:35:26 AM
Hmm I don't see this dispute being settled as it is a very gray area. However, I also don't like my forum reputation being dragged through the mud. Considering $15 = 0.03 BTC, I'll make the payment to the user who posted an image of the sunglasses that most resemble what I ended up buying. This is contingent on my negative trust rating being removed.

Deal?

LOL.  Probably no deal.  Extortion is yet another sign of dishonesty.

If they can find a solution with those in the thread I see no problem to remove my rating. The solution however is not to send me coins, but I also didnt understand it that way.

You are kinder than me.  If the user can't understand they need to do the proper thing without a reward, I don't feel sorry for them.

11075  Other / Meta / Re: How many red trust users are ACTUALLY scammers? on: January 08, 2016, 11:44:35 PM
It all makes sense now... you've been trying to shutdown scammers to eliminate the "competition" of your own scamming through an alt that you probably purchased from one of the glorious account scalpers!  Shocked  Wink

That actually describes Quickseller.   Wink

I have only one account, and I dislike the sale and use of alternate accounts.  To me there is no reason other than to eventually scam.
11076  Other / Off-topic / Re: Seeking suggestions for an avatar change for this account. on: January 08, 2016, 10:36:11 PM
Gleb, is this your girlfriend/wife/sister?  Interesting resemblance!

and to be very honest...it is possible that Vod is a scammer, but I have not proof...
If I follow Vod's opinion...i shoud untrust him...what i do...because I do not agree his opinion who accuses honnest people.

That's why I don't engage in business on this forum.  So there is never any need to view me as a possible scammer.

I don't deal with account sales.  I think the people who sell them are scum and the people that buy them are scammers.

I agree 100%

The trusted members of the forum need to take a stand and start neg repping every person that buys/sells accounts or tries to use an account as collateral for a loan.   Undecided
