11061  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-07-29]Market Updates: Bitcoin Price Jump Highers as Protocol Changes Appro on: July 28, 2017, 10:35:01 PM
Bitcoin markets are having another eventful run since our price report last week. At the time bulls had pushed the price back up above the $2500 territory after bitcoin markets were sliding downwards. This week the decentralized currency is rallying hard as the price per BTC has ricocheted higher to a max of $2825 across global exchanges.

The BTC Buyers Market Continues

Even though there is uncertainty in the air concerning the possibility of a fork next Tuesday, bitcoin markets are looking very optimistic. At the time of writing the price per BTC is hovering around the $2730-2760 range and markets are pushing 24-hour trade volumes of around $1.3B. With buy pressure still steaming we may see some more upside targets in the near future. Bitcoin’s price has jumped upwards about 10 percent over the past 12-hours while many altcoins are seeing price dips. This has led to the index that measures the market share of bitcoin compared to all cryptocurrency market capitalizations, Bitcoin Dominance, lifting back up past the fifty percent range while many of the leading altcoin markets flounder.

11062  Economy / Economics / Re: Did AlphaBay bust affect price of bitcoin? on: July 28, 2017, 09:49:27 PM
Not much. Bitcoin has gone through many 'typhoons' before and still managed to come out strong. It has reached a point where very few world events affect btc's price. Bitcoin has developed some 'thick skin'. I however think the shutdown of AlphaBay led to a decrease of customers on some peer to peer bitcoin trading platforms.

Artificial effect only on the price. I haven't seen the price goes hard as a result of the news. I think those AlphaBay users are only a few that's why the price is not significantly or negatively affected. I agree with you saying that this is just another bump that bitcoin can easily overcome. So we seen much worst scenario before but bitcoin managed to come back even strong. Yeah probably just a small portion of AlphaBay users who used trading platforms to purchase bitcoin to buy something on the website has become smaller.
11063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONS CUP 2016 Discussion and Tips on: July 28, 2017, 09:30:42 PM
Why bayern munich playing so bad in international champions cup, they already lose twice against ac milan and inter milan that i know bayern munich doesn't sell even one their player.

It's just pre season, all about gaining fitness & trying new things, formations etc. Results aren't really all that important. The real trophies aren't handed out now.

But for me, pre-season its also important as well. This is a hindsight as to what might hold the future for the team. If they are doing poorly in the pre-season then I'm expecting that they would also show the same come the real tournament. That's why coach sometimes push their player or team to perform at peak to really gauge how their team will perform with the real seasons starts.
11064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BITCOIN is the KING on: July 28, 2017, 08:55:31 PM
Bitcoin will always be the king and the mother of all crypto coin so there is likely a chance its marketcap will reach trillions in a couple of years. Despite of other negative feedbacks about bitcoin that it might drop down its price but I am sure it will increase every year as what I have observed in the graph in the coinmarket website. So bring on the split and let bitcoin do its thing after for lucky are those who HODL their bitcoins.

I still believed that bitcoin will really soar in the future and that bitcoin will remain the king of the crypto world. This hard fork is another test, and I think this will be pass with flying colors. And the price will rock the crypto world. I'm not predicting any price but it will surely be above what most people here expecting and BCC which is an altcoin, will die as opposed to bitcoin. And yeah, we will all be happy in the next coming months.
11065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is everyone feeling going into Aug 1? on: July 28, 2017, 07:45:01 PM
For me. I do not feel worried about the attack and the Tuesday tomorrow. Because my btc is safe.btc down or up, still profit ..

You are right for this, I think no need to panic and do not need to be feared for such a thing, most importantly we do not have to transact on 1-2 August, because all will cause your Btc will disappear, so better silence and sit sweet in a comfortable place , See how it will happen.
Agree gan we do not need to panic, ane itself calm and silent what will happen will not affect our income. Grin

If you have secured your coins then no need to worry. Actually I'm ecstatic and eager to see what will happen in Aug 1 and after. Some say its doomsday day or something, so I wanna see how this so called doomsday scenario will really turns out. And I believed that it will be just an ordinary day for bitcoin because it will succeed in dealing with it. No need to panic. We just need to stay calm and let the storm pass by.
11066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can money lose with Bitcoin?? on: July 26, 2017, 12:43:41 PM
Money is Rothschild and Bitcoin is Satoshi Nakamoto...Bitcoin will be a future money and how about cash???will people use cash at future time???

We don't need to wait for the future as bitcoin is now cash 2.0. However, I don't see cash demise in the future because of bitcoin. There will still be banks and financial institution that will support fiat no matter how popular bitcoin can be. We just have to take advantage of both. Their will be paper money and virtual money at the same time. Merchants can accept both in the future.
11067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the transaction price of bitcoin so high? on: July 26, 2017, 12:11:12 PM
For me it is so high because the Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Unlimited, Bitcoin XT, Bitcoin Classic cartel is spamming the network in order to enforce their proposals, which are mainly destroying Core and increasing the blocksize limit.

Mempool have just a few backlogs compared to last couple of months were it experience a lot of bottlenecks because someone is spamming the network to cause traffic and to slow the network down. And as far as the fees, I think its fair that we are paying miners to make our transactions. So in order to "prioritize" it, certain fees must be incurred. This is the reason why we have Segwit to increase the blocksize. To ease the network so that bitcoin transaction can be quick will a minimum fee to pay.
11068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum to moon(400) during BTC update on Aug 1 on: July 26, 2017, 11:07:36 AM
as the the SEC implemented securities on any ethereum-based transactions, there might be a tendency for a ethereum to the moon. although there might be a government intervention but it is also a good benefit for an investor/ trader who are into cryptocurrency business to regulate any scam-prone transaction.

They say the ETH has shown no fear despite SEC clamping on them.

The SEC warnings on DAO and ICO tokens have produced relief in the cryptocurrency industry, Ethereum (ETH) staying steady.

As a report and accompanying press release, Tuesday stated that DAO tokens “were securities,” those hoping for clarity on the status of ICOs found that securities laws “may” apply to them

I think the price of ETH will really show a declined in the coming weeks because of this news.
11069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: July 26, 2017, 09:12:01 AM
Any insider news on where Kyrie is heading?

There is still no certain team on where Kyrie is moving. But it seems that he prefer to go with Spurs or it's just a crowd suggestion. But if that will be the final move, Spurs will be empowered with him. And there's another player in addition with the strength of Spurs and that is Pau Gasol that recently signed a contract with them.
He should move because there will be rival of star between him and Derrick Rose because they played in the same position, although Derrick Rose is not highly paid now but he still have that capacity to play and to defend his opponent. Slowly if he will remain being healthy he can recover and maybe he will be back again on his old style of play, he belongs to be good team so I guess it will be a challenge for him.

D Rose moving to Cleveland finally is a nail to the coffin that Irving will moved away from Cavs. I hope D Rose can revived his career with the Cavs and help them at least go to the Finals again. I still believed that D Rose has still has it, although he lost a step or two, but definitely can contribute and score if needed. Let's wait and see where Irving goes and then we can discuss if he is a perfect fit to the team he is choosing.
11070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: luck behind bitcoin earning on: July 26, 2017, 08:46:51 AM
people think that bitcoin is easy way to get rich but it's not like that, I have been played lottery  since two years.
Still i am not that rich. There are few lucky people who earn so many bitcoins but most of the people still not happy with their earnings.

Lol. Lottery should be your last option to make your rich dude and not the first dude. Trading is still the top bet for me but in needed some time and money to earn at least decent profit from it. Forgot about lottery chances if you hitting the jackpot are very slim and you might not see it in your lifetime. I think not most of us are not satisfied, we understand how bitcoin earning is hard nowadays and we would simply double our effort. No alternatives but hard work mate.
11071  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-07-25]World’s Largest Bitcoin Tumbling Service Announces Sudden Shutdown on: July 26, 2017, 08:13:15 AM
Bitmixer was a true asset for the entire Bitcoin community. Every time I withdrew coins from an exchange to be sent to my cold wallets, I have let them go through Bitmixer to get 'unmarked' coins in return. The reason from Bitmixer to close its doors is very much debatable, but it's pointless to speculate about what might or might not have pushed them to stop. We have to adapt to the situation by looking for alternatives, and the first next time that I need to mix some of my coins, I will put ChipMixer to the test. Reading through what kind of features it offers, it greatly exceeds that what Bitmixer had to offer. At least we're not going backwards. Smiley

I am hoping that the decision to shutdown is all about business and there is no applied pressure coming from anywhere else. The void left by this great Bitcoin mixer company can now be taken over by equally good mixing service providers and I am sure that Chipmixer can be a good choice. Amid the continuing drama in the Bitcoin community and the volatility of the Bitcoin, this shutdown is just adding some dark dust into the plate.

We could only speculate what push Bitmixer to close its services to us. We will understand it the company is not making profit, but he himself admitted that they are earning huge amount. So it has nothing to do with business or competition, something deep that we will be unknown to us On the other hand, there are other mixing services that are available, such as you guys promoting. Will definitely look into it and see what it can offer.

World’s Largest Bitcoin Tumbling Service Announces Sudden Shutdown

The largest mixing service has decided to shut down operations, citing the future of Bitcoin as a catalyst. While no links have been made official, users question possible pressure and dark market shops as a possible cause.

One of the largest mixing services announced that it will stop operating just before delivering on that promise.

11073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IT is WAR. Split again. BTC will crash on: July 25, 2017, 01:04:21 PM
OP may actually be right. The price Bitcoin reacted to something today. It's currently down at 2550 from 2789 it was yesterday.
I saw an article on a Bitcoin about Bitcoin Cash and Segwitx2. The owner of the site seems to be in favor of both.
Something weird is happening underground.  Crooks are up to something?  Everyone has to be very vigilant.

There may be something that is not right. The price just suddenly fall today in less than 12 hours. Looks to me there is someone behind the scene working to satisfy their own greed. I'm expecting that at least the price should hold around $2700 but the significant drop raise some alarm to me. And I think they are going to push for a split in Aug 1. Don't people really wants to destroy bitcoin for their own greed. I agree, we need to be vigilant and observant in this kind of situation. We don't know what will happen next.
11074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10 ETH or 1 BTC? on: July 25, 2017, 06:15:15 AM
Diversify dude. Get both 50:50. At least you have a leverage. We all know that there is a relation with regards to the price. So when one is down, for sure the other coin will be down as well. And you still have options if you just want to trade bitcoin for a day and the next day ETH. Question though Are you planning to do trading or purely investment?

11075  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is something going on with Poloniex? on: July 25, 2017, 05:46:42 AM
I think something is really going on with Poloniex. I'm seeing a flood of complains about them. They should at least have a good support staff to answer all the inquiries of their customers. But unfortunately, we are not seeing this from them. Maybe they are really preparing for the Aug 1 that' whey they tend to not care about the issues that their customers is facing. Good thing I was to stay away from them and moved to other trading platforms.
11076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome To The Blockchain on: July 25, 2017, 05:19:34 AM
Glad my song could be of help to you guys...keep spreading it around!

Professionally done mate. Nice video.

I think we need to spread it more as the video has only 70K views. It should at least get 500K so that more people will know about bitcoin. And its a nice introductory for newbies specially about bitcoin and blockchain technology. And people you will watch this will become curious as to what is blockchain/bitcoin is and chances are they are going to research more about bitcoin and probably invest on it. Good Job!!!
11077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The real crash starts after Aug 1st on: July 24, 2017, 09:05:19 AM
I'm betting on bitcoin increase on Aug 1 and altcoins falling, people selling off to jump on bitcoin train. If it happens, great opportunity to get alts at a discount

I'm very optimistic that bitcoin will increase drastically after Aug 1. And for those who are bailing out on bitcoin, just don't regret your decision. Because I'm sure that there are profits that are going to be missed and you don't want to be that person. So just stay calm and just hodl on it. I know that bitcoin price is hard to predict, but for me all the signs are pointing that bitcoin could have a good future after Aug 1.

Ferrer doing a Federer  Smiley

We are now seeing two Spaniards winning titles for this year alone. And Ferrer's win put him with the great Bjorn Borg in the record books. Both are three-time champions at the Swedish Open. This veterans are really showing the way for now. I think with age creaping among them, its a good thing to see them winning ATP even at the twilight of their career instead of seeing them down with injuries and cannot come back.

Well that's the only choice you got mate. To hope and pray that Polo will bring back your money. Maybe this should be a lessons learn for most of us not to keep huge amount of money to any exchange because chances are likely you will lose it because you have no control about it. Also, I'm moving to Bittrex but I'm still weighing my options. Will wait after the Aug 1 drama and see what will happen. Goodluck.
11080  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-07-21]BIP 91 Locks In and Bitcoin Price Rises Sharply on: July 24, 2017, 07:46:08 AM
Even stronger, and this is pure speculation of course, is that the early timing to allow miners to start 'officially' signalling support for BIP91, was more or less an attempt to greatly influence the market at their own will (i.e. trading with inside information).

I had that thought as well. I wouldn't be surprised if they have been backed up with large players to drive the price down in order to intensify the panic that was going through the market. If we look at the bottom, all the way to the peak of slightly over the $2900 level, it shows that we experienced a solid $1000 increase in a matter of days. On the other hand, I expected the price to break through the $3000 level today or tomorrow due to the activation of BIP91, but tomorrow is another day. Maybe that a new load of money coming in that will post tomorrow in people's accounts will add an extra $100 or so to the price.

We didn't break the $3000 levels. Although there are trading platforms that reported it has reach that price but quickly it went down again. I guess the mental barrier that is $3000 is so strong that one has to readily sell their coins once the price reach this high. Currently its down to $2750 so I doubt we can reach $3000 again in a matter of days. But the price is still strong, its just that $3000 is unsustainable for the time being.
