1121  Economy / Speculation / Re: nrd525 Market Tracker on: July 28, 2015, 06:24:20 AM
BFX USD swaps went up $1.9 million in the past 24 hours to $30.1 million.  First time past $30 million.

I closed most of my LTC short as I'm worried about another pump (went from 1500 to 600).

Dude, you need to stop shorting litecoin at this point and go long mostly. Everything else is looking good but stop the short tip. word.
1122  Economy / Speculation / Re: ETA for the ETF? (and Gemini Exchange speculation) on: July 28, 2015, 06:04:35 AM
Gemini is dealing exclusively with US banks. I think members outside US cannot use it to buy and sell bitcoin. The rest of the world still need more large legit exchanges like Gemini to reduce friction.

Cant the other countries just still buy bitcoin from gemini..

I mean its how most are trying to always buy from btc-e the sketchy exchange, but it`d be the same concept of sending them a wire or other form of SEPA money that they accept and send you btc. After they go through the typical verification process.
I know a gold and oil future day trader that is looking to trade bitcoin on the winks' exchange that is coming up. This outfit is gonna go big.

[qoute]

You either need to have brass balls or be fresh out of the Babypips School for Retail Traders to short this. The probable direction is clear.
The hammer has spoken clear and present danger to those that are in disbelief. Not a good position to be in at this point.
1124  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 28, 2015, 05:46:02 AM

But we will be back to 230 by Friday.

I see the bears are shorting again here at 300. It is basically a last stand for them.

Any appreciable buying now will eviscerate the remaining 10,666 shorts on finex.

Place your bets!

If the bears don't understand or care to learn about the context of the market compared to its prior actions--that is, how the last six months has been coiling the spring of this rally--they deserve to lose money.
Yep, they will get flatlined and embarrassed to hell and back. Thanks for your commentary and analysis for putting them where they belong. BC, is on top of this crypto game.
1125  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 28, 2015, 05:40:50 AM
Beijing market is in meltdown, so expect some temporary gains in Bitcoin. Next few hours will be interesting.

But we will be back to 230 by Friday.

I will buy 10 BTC for 230 on friday from you...what do you say?
So will I even tho that won't happen but your selling will help the bitcoin market as a whole. Scoot and lost while the rest of us make out big. Thx
1126  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 28, 2015, 05:37:26 AM
I was about 23 pages behind in this thread so I thought fuck it and I went to the last one. I can't understand why everyone is so bullish back here?

the normal "we are going to the moon" bulltards stuff
Yeah, pay no attention to the moon stuff at the end of a bear market, it's not possible when the show changes characters. No chance of higher prices but you can sell now and let the adults take over your lot if you're scared or wanting out at a break even point. The big boys get profits and the timid sell at a loss or break even. Best of luck to ya.
1127  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 28, 2015, 05:22:23 AM
Haven't been here for a while, but it looks like it might be worth to start shorting again... Grin
Suicidal thoughts won't pan out very well at this stage of the game, bro or whoever you are. But if you're joshing then short away!  Cheesy
1128  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 28, 2015, 05:19:39 AM
NOM NOM NOM

This raw sugar diet isn't doin you any favors, gentlemen.
Just like BTC pumps, the shaky high invariably ends in a splattering crash Sad
Thanks for that insight, chop chip. You've done more than your fair share to spread nothing of any importance, thx. Go ahead and buy a hand full of coins to make up for your sins.
1129  Economy / Speculation / Re: Direction is NNE (north northeast) - MOON TIME on: July 28, 2015, 05:17:14 AM
Ask knows what's up, bit and the lite making moves and a fresh new week is at our hands for launching up. I hope yall are buying and not selling at this little point. I work at UM's Hospital and all I heard today from security and elsewhere is that the global financials are a mess to which I mentioned Bitcoin was a potential saving grace and one of the workers/traders I work w/ is awaiting the Winks' Gemini to get involved rather than his trading of oil and gold futures. The security dude was talking about the Sept/Oct financial surprise by the "Illuminati" in relation to the dollar and he was concerned that the hospital wouldn't allow his 401k to touch bitcoin. So, I told him to await Gemini or the ETF for exposure as the possible attache for him. People are catchin on despite them not being of the Rand Paul political mindset which usually indicates smart money types.
1130  Economy / Speculation / Re: Direction is NNE (north northeast) - MOON TIME on: July 27, 2015, 02:56:08 AM
Sell your pants at this point! Ask has failed us terribly. Sell, sell, sell! Game is over. Wink
1131  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 27, 2015, 02:45:07 AM
Respectable little dump on finex, to reject and go higher would be quite bullish.

Absent that, very little supporting $290.
Time to dump like a champ I guess. Profits yet?
1132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Made a short video tutorial how to buy from a Lamassu ATM in my city on: July 26, 2015, 07:59:12 PM
Nice and informational vid that I'm sure newcomers will value if they're into purchasing coins from ATMs. Personally, I've never encountered one of these machines before and do most of my buying from Coinbase aside from the stuff I gain through trading.
1133  Economy / Speculation / Re: ETA for the ETF? (and Gemini Exchange speculation) on: July 26, 2015, 07:40:32 PM
Perfect timing. Get this thing primed and on a path to legit-ness right as the price is starting to make significant moves up. Traders will be chomping at the bit to get in when the ink is dried from the NYDFS and an explosion in price upwards will blow your fucking mind. Wink
1134  Economy / Speculation / Re: Illness doesn't go away on: July 26, 2015, 07:36:02 PM
kwuk is going to have an ongoing barfing epidemic as this puppy continues to make its way on up to heaven and it'll be fun to  watch the commentary.
1135  Economy / Speculation / Re: Direction is NNE (north northeast) - MOON TIME on: July 26, 2015, 07:32:35 PM
Price is ready to take next step higher...

I'm guessing we have a Monday morning surprise.  Wink

I expect BRUTAL rise in less then 5 hours...

What happened to your expected $20-30 drop? You're all over the place.
That could probably happen after this next rise where people with low expectations get their meager gains and bail or plan to rebuy later for additional gains in bitcoin. Just a thought. Or, there won't be a pull back for a while if at all.
1136  Economy / Speculation / Re: Launch pad? on: July 26, 2015, 07:27:50 PM
I'm massively bullish & expect bitcoin to absolutely explode into mainstream adoption in the long term but right now I'm unsure about which way we're going to go in the short term.

Hopefully 280 is some kind of new bottom & we can push past 300 soon. I decided not to vote on the poll because I just don't know.
I know you've had the battered crypto syndrome over the last year or so but my advice is to think big, assume it will break expectations and not to sell too early.
1137  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 26, 2015, 05:42:39 AM
Still not technically turned up... Still time for heroic bear dump to save us from the summer pump !

Sellers have left the market. Dumps have been ineffective since May. If you're short here I'm sorry for ya.
The perma boss has said his piece so take it to heart. Bears dead and much left to fly high with.
1138  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 25, 2015, 04:25:10 AM
If anyone feels any better, I finished building my 40 gallon sump for the 75 gallon and the price gone up 10 bucks. I need to troll less and more hobby stuff.
huh? what! no, maybe? idk.

What constitutes contribution in a thread about nothing?  Tongue
everything, anything, flashy pic are best...

So the forum has been down for a good part of the day, i wanted to login and give my blessing to this rally but i couldnt. anyway, its looking good, i had target 269 as the low before the rebound but we seem to be bouncing off of 275, very good, bullish sign, bla bla bla. now resistance appears to be >300, I can totally see this 6 month long resistance line (300USD) become support in the next few weeks, buy or die. buy or die. Buy or die. Buy or Die! your choice man wtv.

A sump for a fish tank is another tank outside of the main display one that holds stuff like filter media, skimmer, ect.... adds water volume too.
are you high as fuck man!??!?!?

buy or DIE!

FUCKING BIUY OR FUCKGINH DIE!!!!!!!!!!!
Daddy comes back just in time.. Buy bitcoin or litecoin at this point or tell your bitch that Xmas will be lite this year.
1139  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 25, 2015, 04:22:54 AM
The winklevii already have investors ready to buy as soon as they go live.  They know alot of high power people.

I don't doubt they know powerful people but powerful people are "usually" powerful as they are fairly intelligent.

Now, I am mildly semi intelligent and I know if I were them I'd buy before Gemini is launched and the price potentially rises.

Why wait for the winkles?

I am not sold on this Gemini exchange doing much at all to the price. Not moon bound anyway but............

I really hope I am wrong and everyone points and laughs at me.

There is nothing new anymore about a regulated exchange. And with the swedish ETN the Twinkletossers ETF has lost much of it's novelty. But they somehow get all the media and all the fat cats to listen to them. Often just to point and laugh, but listen they do.

Don't get me wrong. I still think a fully regulated ETF listed in NY is a big deal, just not as big as it was. And with the other exchanges, the ETN and general acceptance of BTC in financial circles, we don't need the Facepalm Bros to launch this mofo.

Sorry, but you are completely wrong here saying that the Swedish ETN ruins the COIN ETFs novelty. ETNs do not = ETFs, not even close

ETNs are not nearly as secure and transparent ETFs. ETFs actually hold the underlying asset being tracked and ETNs simply follow the price. This gives people much more confidence in using ETFs to earn returns versus ETNs. If the company that runs the ETN goes out of business the ETN would become worthless (ETN = unsecured debt), but with an ETF there are actual assets backing the investors purchases so they have much more security.

Exactly, if the price goes lunatic and makes new ATH the company issuing the ETN could go bankrupt as they eventually have to pay those gains out of their own pockets.

Which is why you should never invest in an ETN unless you know the company has a good credit rating and that the chances of bankruptcy are almost non-existent.

What if the Wink's Bitcoins get stolen? Does insurance cover the loss, and is there no way an insurance company could possibly wriggle off the hook of paying? I know it's not likely but nothing's impossible, no matter how good the Wink's security is there is always a risk of theft.

If the coins backing COIN were all stolen then investors would probably loose a lot of money (if not all), but the same goes for any other ETF. GLD for example holds gold and there is a chance it will all be stolen yet there is about $25B invested in the GLD ETF right now and a lot more than that when gold was higher.

In terms of insurance, we will have to read through the COIN's prospectus if and when it comes online to see if says anything.

With that said, COIN won't have all of its BTC holdings online. I'm sure they will have most in cold storage and probably not all in one place.

If COIN does have all of it's coins stolen it will be one of the biggest heists in history assuming COIN gets

In case u didn't read what the winks are up to w/ Gemini, they are focusing solely on security in a large part so all interested large parties are gonna be bullish as fuck over this play. The application for a license is en route so get ready for moon.

Is this a return of the Litecoin Ponzi Scheme? My god... WTF.
Please explain. Why is Bitcoin going up, and why Litecoin?
Any ideas? Is it going over 5? 5.5? What about Bitcoin? 290? 300?

Nostalgia plus folks realize that moving litecoin is a lot easier and efficient than bitcoin straight up. Moving profits, from litecoin when the others pile on, is way easier back into bitcoin cuz the market is more fluid at this point. Litecoin is likely going into the -7-8$ range or more in the next push and that will allow you to purchase many more bitcoins by holding litecoins. Litecoin is yoursavior when developing the next bitcoin bull run so buy the shit out of it. I mean it for real.
