1121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON - Semi Finals. on: February 05, 2022, 03:01:03 PM
Football is one game you can not predict accurately as most time is a game of Luck and surprises, if the God of soccer is on Egypt side any form of skill from any player does not earn them a score so Senegal and Egypt we are going to know the cup winner after the match tomorrow.

Do you believe there is a thing like the god of soccer? I do not. This is like bringing religion and witchcraft into football which is not supposed to be. If we look at it that way the Nigerian team is supposed to still be in the tournament because the country is highly religious but we know all that is hypocrisy. Religion should be kept aside, let the most prepared and lucky win. I know that will be Egypt tomorrow.
1122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will owning 0.01 BTC really make you rich? on: February 05, 2022, 02:43:44 PM
What do you think? Is it really possible to become rich with 0.01 BTC in the future? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley

0.01 bitcoin today is just about $400 in value and that is nothing to make anyone rich, even in the third world poor countries. If we are looking at that and hoping it will become possible in the future then that will have to be after bitcoin has done its halvings for 5 times or more. That is 5 multiplied by 4 and that is 20 years from now. It is going to be a long wait to come. Anything can happen before that 20 years wait. Bitcoin can even lose its importance too before then.
1123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your reason for buying altcoins? on: February 05, 2022, 02:00:09 PM
Do you genuinely believe any of your altcoins can genuinely surpass Bitcoin or Ethereum's market values in near future?

I do not know if overtaking bitcoin market value will be possible but I know it will not be long before another altcoin overtakes Ethereum. ETH does not look strong to remain the second player to bitcoin convincingly for years to come and this will not take long before it is exposed. Three years ago am sure no one believed BNB will ever be in the third position it got to before USDT chased it down to 4th position where it is presently. Yes I believe this will change.
1124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: FURY vs WHYTE - CONFIRMED on: February 05, 2022, 08:06:55 AM
In my opinion, Fury will have an easy fight and an easy victory.

That is what it looks like and it is the general believe. I do not foresee an upset. Whyte looks weary and tired out already psychologically from what I see in him. Am sure this will be his last fight in the ring. I do have pity on him though but am sure he too would have asked for a bigger portion if he is the champion going into that fight. That is life for you. We do not always get what we want all the time. I hope he does not get severely beaten to the point of death. We saw how Fury dealt with Wilder in the rematch fight and burst his ear drum. Fury is a beast of a fighter.
1125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Still haven't sold a bit of BTC since 2013... if I can do it you can do it too! on: February 04, 2022, 06:55:46 PM
Surprised that you have such patience. I wonder if it was better to sell not so long ago?

BTC climbed 2 times to the 65-69K range and then fell to the 30-35K range. These 2 were great opportunities to sell and buy back. But you never know before so I don't regret a thing. There is no guarantee for anything.

What would make you not sell at those points, especially if you started holding when you said you did? I do not think it is a wise decision. Something makes me feel there is a missing information that you have not sold anything from the bitcoin you have since 2013 or is the amount you are holding something very small that can not do anything for you? I find it hard to swallow. I can be wrong on my feeling, i can also be right. Is there any evidence to prove this? That will also help to make more people believe in long term holding if you can provide us this.
1126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: FURY vs WHYTE - CONFIRMED on: February 04, 2022, 06:08:32 PM
If Whyte drags this out past 21st February 2022 without returning a signed contract to the WBC all the while Fury is making it clear he is sticking to financial arrangements imposed by the WBC, then Whyte will be stripped of the number contender status and will probably not get another chance. Fury will simply move on to another fighter the WBC award the number one contender title to.

Am sure Whyte will sign the contract before the deadline because he stands to lose more if he does not. Also, he seems like a man who will need that money to sort out bills if we consider how little his last fight made him. He has to understand that his hands are tied here. If he wants to earn better he has to beat Fury in the fight and then stand a chance to call the shots next time as a champ after that. I do not like the split too but there is nothing we can do to change it.
1127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON - Semi Finals. on: February 04, 2022, 05:47:51 PM
I felt the same way too. I never rated Egypt at all, especially after their game with Nigeria.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria were distracted by all the political promises of money from people back home and the headcoach Augustine Eguavoen could not control that distraction. Lack of discipline cost Nigeria the AFCON. Otherwise the team would still be in the competition. All that is in the past now. For the finals I believe Egypt will beat Senegal to the cup. Anyone betting against Egypt will lose their money.
1128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON - Semi Finals. on: February 04, 2022, 08:08:16 AM
This time again Senegal will still not take the trophy. Gradually the prediction that it will be a Senegal and Egypt finals is coming to pass. Today's match between Cameroon and Egypt will produce Egypt as winner. It will be a tough game because of the home support Cameroon will be getting but they will still lose out to face Burkina Faso for the third place. This cup is going to Egypt.

I still maintain this position. All the way to Egypt. The Liverpool players of Sadio Mané and M. Salah will lock horns on the day but it is Mané who will cry at the end. It will be a pity to see Senegal get into finals again and be denied the trophy.

A catastrophic AFCON in all levels not only attendance but also low security level, poor stadium quality, some people even died in one of the stadium, questionable referees decisions, some teams are eliminated due to those weird decisions without returning to VAR although they were asked to... But hey, Eto'o said that this version is a success and he even proposed to host World Cup... Delusion at its best!

Do not condemn everything there as if we do not have disasters too in European football it elsewhere. Nowhere is perfect. Eventhough I agree with you that the start of this AFCON was with alot of errors from referees but it is better now. Give the organisers some credits.
1129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON - Semi Finals. on: February 03, 2022, 12:26:54 PM
Much respect to Senegal. Reaching finals for two consecutive times means a lot.

1131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: FURY vs WHYTE - CONFIRMED on: February 02, 2022, 09:56:15 PM
It seems the brother of Whyte is saying the fight might not go ahead.

Maybe the brother is having the feeling that Whyte may not be able to survive the fight if he goes ahead to fight Fury. Sometimes feelings like that can come up and it is better to prevent death in he ring. Whyte is no march for Fury at all. Am sure whatever split Whyte is asking for may be to stall the fight as he is likely to know that the Fury side may not agree to it.

Whyte is after a 70/30 split of the purse and this is getting messy but Fury has been taunting Whyte is typical Fury fashion Grin

Is there any boxer who does not taunt? It is a psychological thing for all of them.
1132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT CIFI COINS on: February 02, 2022, 07:42:36 PM
Is citizen finance suitable as an investment altcoin asset?

Not everybody will know that Citizen finance refused to pay those it had for its bounty except those here and they will not hesitate to invest. But it will be difficult for those who know of the company's refusal to pay completely those who did bounty hunting for it to invest there. It is a negative for Citizens finance image. My sympathy is to those who participated in the bounty and did not get their payment than whatever loss in business the company gets. The company should collapse.
1133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: FURY vs WHYTE - CONFIRMED on: February 02, 2022, 07:51:42 AM
Fury will be the heavy favorite here but I never rule out an upset Whyte is a very stubborn fighter with power that can rock any boxer, I'm thinking what if Whyte upset Fury, this will create a disruption in the heavyweight division with Fury, Wilder, and Joshua having losses,  things will be interesting if there's an upset and it will create build-up for fights against former champions.

I do not foresee an upset with the Fury-Whyte fight. It is going to be a straight win for Fury. Was Dillian Whyte not the same boxer AJ made a mess of? AJ who could not even have straight wins in his last two matches. Whyte will be an easy meat for Fury. Fury will even beat any of the boxers from the other bout - Usyk and AJ, if they are to face him today. But I have to say that I do not like how the winnings are shared with Fury taking a greater percentage of the money whether he wins or loses. I believe that is why the bonus cash is set aside to compensate who will emerge the winner incase Whyte wins. But I do not see him winning. The bonus will still end up with Fury.
1134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man lost everything to Crypto on: February 02, 2022, 05:30:27 AM
I don't think that drugs, alcohol and crypto destroyed his life. His addiction destroyed his life. His addiction is his own internal problem.Putting the blame on external factors(drug, alcohol, crypto) is not the right path for curing his addictions.
Trading can be turned into gambling,if you have no risk management and you always go for the high risk leverage trading. The lack of emotional control can ruin everything for every trader out there.

His addiction to what he felt were his enjoyment ended up destroying him and no one should blame anything for that. It is his fate and he should face it. How do people become reckless with substance and at the same time go into trading and investment. Anyone who does that would not be able to do all with clear and calculated attempts and that will result in many mistakes. That is what destroyed him. Next time he will learn not to, that is if he survives this.
1135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: February 01, 2022, 08:14:06 PM
Although El Salvador is not a big country, but what El Salvador has shown is quite brave by legalizing Bitcoin as a legal tender. Because not
necessarily a big country dares to do what El Salvador did, I am very happy that there is a country that is so serious about supporting
cryptocurrencies like El Salvador.

Though it is a small country but it is brave, I like the support El Salvador has given to Bitcoin. If other small countries across also give this type of support bitcoin will have enough strength to keep rising and gather more users. Though the present price is down from when the country started with it but it is not late for it to recover still.

El Salvador been buying up bitcoin like crazy too!

This will also be to their advantage later.
1136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON - Quarter Finals. on: February 01, 2022, 08:30:41 AM
There isn't any shocking thing in games taking place in Africa especially when you see the miserable condition of the stadium and the impressive referees decisions that will make you speechless.

If you talk of the poor state of the tournament and officiating your are correct. It is very disappointing, I admit. But that does not mean there has not been areas where the tournament has brought smiles and genuine appreciation from spectators. Participating countries have shown areas of brilliant performance too. We have seen upsets too, and one of it which is yet to happen is the one between Cameroon and Egypt. Egypt will shock the host nation in the coming encounter this week.

I think Senegal will play Egypt in the final... Cameroon are certainly playing well this season, but I don't think they will beat Egypt in the semi-finals!

I also think so. Infact, am giving this cup to Egypt. They will go on to defeat Cameroon to set up a finals with Senegal, and then defeat Senegal. Eventhough Egypt had a slow start I see them as eventual winners of this AFCON.
1137  Economy / Economics / Re: What is better - cryptocurrency trading or investing? on: February 01, 2022, 08:09:22 AM

Both will make you money and can also cause you to regret your action. Do not get involved in any of them if you do not know what you are doing, do not go into trading if you are not trained for it. If am to advise you I will say go for investing. It is better than trading. That is the option I like to take. All you have to do is buy and then keep it till you are ready to sell off and take your profit.
1138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Hold is Gold on: February 01, 2022, 04:24:42 AM
i think luck matters alot in trading not only Good knowledge.

Luck also helps us to succeed in life and in business. You have to keep holding it for more months if you expect it to regain your loss as you can see that the market is down, even bitcoin. This is one of the things you should expect to see in cryptocurrency. It is never predictable. It has made alot of people happy and at the same time made a lot more poor who bought when price was high or they invested in some shitcoins.
1139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON - Quarter Finals. on: January 31, 2022, 09:45:23 PM
Are you really that confident that Egypt will win this African Cup? In such a case, you can make some easy money, as the bookmakers do not consider them as favorites and give great odds for them to win:

Bookmakers are not always right. They are humans like everyone of us and can only see what their brains allow them to see. I still maintain that Egypt is the favourite to win this tournament even though not so many people are giving them that credit. We all will find this out this week when they will knock Cameroon out to get into the finals.
1140  Other / Off-topic / Re: New year resolutions on: January 31, 2022, 08:31:17 PM
I know I can't do it alone. I will do as much as I can.

You do not have to think that way when you want to embark on anything to help the people. If you continue to think that way you will be discouraged. It is the same way we see alot of people during church service who do not like giving offering. Does that discourage others from giving offering in church? It does not. And so it should not discourage you too. Start doing good and do not mind what others do.

work out, write, and read more this year

And have you been able to achieve that now or it is abandoned?
