Confirmed, BlackCoin going to VaultOfSatoshi at next update (another good FIAT > BC option):

https://twitter.com/AdamScochran/status/460145795203727360

This is amazing news!!! Once again this community were able to get the job done when working together.  Now with CoinKite, Moolah, and Vault Of Satoshi we can use these companies as leverage to further gain market share.

Once again I ask everyone to email Mintpal and be heard!!! Do not let up on them, they are not doing us any favors. We want our own pair and if Mintpal doesn't want to give it to us, then lets see if Cryptsy will be willing to give it to us.

BlackCoin Card Shipping Next Week

I am happy to announce the first batch of the BlackCoin cards will be shipping next week!!! In a few days those sexy BlackCoin cards will start showing up in your mailboxes!!! I will upload photos as soon as the batch arrives from the factory on Monday. I want to thank everyone who purchased the first batch of BlackCoin cards!!!

If you haven't already purchased a BlackCoin card and you want to be part of the second batch being sent out in May, please place your order now: http://www.blackcoincard.com
[/b]

Good to hear Smiley
I would really want to purchase three or four cards precharged with 500 or 1000 BC as a gift to some friends and for me, is this option available? that would be so convenient to me.

That is the beauty of the cards, you can add as much BC as you want once the cards arrive.

Yes, but when you want to send a gift to someone, for example a potential client for your bussiness or you want to surprise someone, it's much more convenient and direct to send the gift directly to the person you want to make that gift ("as is"); less steps, less time consuming, more simple, more practical. As an option isn't bad, and I think it's a good idea.

-EDIT-
But, don't get me wrong, I really like the cards and they look impressive, keep up the good work!

I am looking into the legality of it because others have asked for this. As long as the customer is using crypto to buy the pre-loaded cards I should be fine. Give me another week or so to make sure I am legally allowed to do this and I will add this if it is legal.

The BlackCoin community is filled with some of the most creative people in crypto, and now we you will be rewarded for your creativity!!!

Starting today we invite you to create a 30+ second video about BlackCoin. It can by anything you like, you decide!!! All entries must be entered by Friday May 2nd to qualify. On May 3rd we will post the list of all entries and allow the community to vote. On Monday May 5th the winners will be announced!!!

First prize: 1000BC and a Limited Edition BC Card.
Second Prize: 500BC and a First Edition BC Card.
Third Prize: 250BC and a First Edition BC Card.

Please PM me the link to your video so you can be entered. Cutoff time to submit your video is May 2nd 11:59PM EST (NYC Time)!!!

Here is the first entry by rickywaldron: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elugaT-R308

What we are actually looking for:

(and the only kind of video that will win) is video's like used on www.weusecoins.com etc. Informative, good designed and -most importantly- usefull for the future.

Why are you saying it can be anything if you're only looking for an info video anyway?

Should I even bother writing and producing a song if this won't win anyway?

This is a video challenge, but I am sure we can do a music challenge in the near future!

Just so you know, barabbas here parked himself on the Spaincoin forum and attacked and abused anyone trying to support that coin. As the value went down, he then ranted that the value was so low it was now an insult to try and gift it to anyone Spanish. I guess he's moved here now, I suggest hitting the ignore button rather than drawn in to these pointless squabbles.

You are correct...way too much energy has already been spent on this.
1125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: April 26, 2014, 07:18:53 PM
This is a bit too much... but I guess you somehow need it... Sad, very sad. The "design of the card, outside of the logo, is your regular credit card with a black background, Monster "design creation" on your part. As for the software, aren't all those phone cards that came out like 10 years ago, rechargeable? Is that the "software innovation" you are bringing to the BC table? You do know you can order now refillable credit cards with photos of Elvis, Marilyn... etc., don't you? But yours is indeed an amazing contribution to the BC community worth at least half the current price in the market. Or more. Happier now?

And do you realize that stating opinions about me without having the slightest idea of who I am or what may I have  accomplished just makes you look pathetically silly? Oh well if you need your jollies jigged that way, I guess you do. To each his own.

Lets quickly recap.

You wrote a 876 word post about me that was filled with assumptions: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=469640.msg6402169#msg6402169

I will ask you again...do you read what you write?

In regards to the card, your ignorance is beyond comical. Your comments just proves you have no clue what you are talking about, you just post nonsense without doing basic research. The BlackCoin cards have nothing to do with refillable debit cards. I will not waste my time explaining the technology behind the BlackCoin card, I do not expect someone like you to understand.

I will say this again...if what I have done is trivial then by all means show me how it is done. I have no problem taking a seat and watching you come up with something innovative for BC. However, if posting insults and assumptions about me is all you got, that is not very innovative. There are already 100+ posts about that already.

Also to anyone looking for a Blackcoin wallpaper, enjoy! (resolution is 1920x1080)
Not much too it either, aside from the ''meet black'' text and extra gloss but thought some might like it Smiley

1128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: April 26, 2014, 06:22:46 PM

That you pretend to know anything about me is just pathetic, in a funny kind of way. So ok, create whatever perception you may have of me that blocks you from looking at the mirror and see yourself.

So you "created" a card. Nice looking, no doubt and a collection item if you ask me... not for "your" design, but the the logo design that I state on every post is not only gorgeous but BC's best assent beyond team-community. Those should sell like hot cakes NOT BECAUSE OF YOU or any trust, but as simple beautiful collectible item. I will get one myself, as a matter of fact. And not because they are usable at the moment for any practical way. But you want credit for it? OK, all to you. More satisfied now? And, you don't know, you maybe more remembered for it than for the vague memory of you everyone in the forum someday, kind of the endearing cloudy memory one has when years past of the town's fool.

And no, I did not spend all those words analyzing you -but of course an egomaniac of your proportions would assume so-, I used those words to make points that some in this forum needs to be reminded that ethics count for something and that raw greed most often destroys good projects and, well, you know, I see BC as a good project that depends on image and crypto-community's perception  and you know I don't want anyone mildly interested in the coin to come here and have the wrong perception... you, pal, offer the wrong perception to anyone/.

Fortunately you were given religion by a team that knows better to let the greedy bunch run amok. They will continue doing what they have done so greatly so far and, hopefully, reining in on yahoos out for prey.

Otherwise, good luck with the gorgeous card, like I said, I'll get one myself. Maybe two.

Do you read what you write before clicking post? You wrote paragraphs about me, and many of your sentences were assumptions based on your own life. Next time before you comment take a moment and ask yourself: "will I sound like a jealous troll if I post this"? You assumed I was referring to the physical design of the card, but I was referring to the custom software pre-loaded on the card that will make it easier for anyone to use BC. You can attempt to trivialize what I have done, but only sad envious men try to trivialize other men accomplishments, especially when they do not have any of their own to speak of. And you are correct; the BlackCoin card will be a collectible item that I designed and created. Only the logo was created by someone else. The entire card design and the software was created by me. I had the layout then refined for the final proof. So if you think the card is selling based on the logo, let us see you create something using the logo and lets see if it sells. So if and when you do purchase my card and it is delivered to you, it will be the closest you will ever be to a good idea.

So unless you have anything of value to add, your posts about me are not accomplishing anything except to make you look like the unpopular kid that wasn't invited to the party. So feel free to continue to sit behind your computer screen and be bitter while I continue to make you money by adding value to BlackCoin.

“If being an egomaniac means I believe in what I do and in my art or music, then in that respect you can call me that... I believe in what I do, and I'll say it.”

IconicExpert was right.

WE need a pump to get out of this shit mess we're in. You guys might not see the big picture, or are blind to care. But long term we are going down. 2 weeks ago we were trading around 50K, last week it was 40K, and now we are happy if we can reliably break 30K.

The community pump leaves a bad taste in almost everyone's mouth. Branding is everything and calling it a Community Pump was a bad idea. If I had called it a Community Buy Day we would not be having this discussion. However, there is more than one way to pump something, and now that the cards will be shipping I will use the fact that BC is the only coin right now with this kind of technology to pump BC. By the end of next week I will make sure every crypto and tech related website knows about our cards. BC value will increase on that news. So we will just have to deal with the sell-offs for a few more days.

I like how you are thinking. Marketed correctly, we could make this a luxury crypto that is desirable to own. The stage is already set with the logo already having that touch of class about it with the black and gold finish and elegant font face.

We're stripped free of the stigma attached to Bitcoin, because people who think of Bitcoin automatically think:

- Silk road, drugs, crime (illegal activity)
- Mining bitcoins electronically on computers (difficult for the layperson to understand)
- Nerdy

So far we've got this coin off to a great start but it's only the beginning. IMO the biggest factor behind a coins success by far is marketing. Forget the technical specifications or the trading volume or anything else. Marketing is king. But it all ties together, with our strong technical specs it gives us a lot to shout about.

+10000

Well said and better explained than I did. By the end of the week people should start receiving their cards. By next week almost everyone who ordered the cards should have them. Once the word gets out about BlackCoin and the BlackCoin card  people will want to own the "Luxury Coin". And you can't mine the luxury coin, you have to buy it. This makes BlackCoin exclusive in nature.

I am super happy we have Iconic Expert on board, having such a super energized individual is invaluable and can really make a difference. Every coin has enough people just talking on the discussion forums and too little people who really make things happen. Wish I was one of the latter as well though.  Sad  But it's just like everywhere in life, some people lead and innovate, others go to work 9-5 and hate their lives for it but are too passive the make the change. Tongue

PS. Luxury Currency BlackCoin sounds sweet. Smiley

Thank you and everyone else for the kind words and support. It is people like you that give me the motivation to want to keep working 15+ hours a day on BC.

This thread is getting so ridiculous I keep coming back to it every day for the LOLs. When a man brings up where his 13 y/o daughter had a special private party at in order to defend his character and positions on cryptos (i.e., BC specifically), that's when this thread turned into a circus. PT Barnum has arrived!!!!

Maybe one day I'll know the manager of a Louis Vuitton store. I can only hope  Grin

Wouldn't a Louis Vuitton BlackBag be great PR?

The problem with the angle I see here where 'Blackcoin' is trying to marry it's image to luxury products is that really you have to be number 1 to do that. So Bitcoin can make a meaningful connection to a luxury market, Blackcoin just looks like a wannabe with this kind of focus and message.

That is not true at all. Bitcoin is viewed as the currency for "geeks". However, BlackCoin has not established it's niche yet. So it is very easy to make BlackCoin the "luxury" crypto. BlackCoin doesn't have to be number one to pull this off. American Express is not the #1 one credit card company, but the American Express Black Card is known globally for luxury and wealth. We could easily build the BlackCoin brand as the luxury coin.

As I stated numerous times I am working on stuff behind the scenes that has never been done before. I didn't just create the BlackCoin card for fun, I realized we have a luxury image that can be used to our advantage. The card is a catalyst for what is about to come. I am already working on associating BlackCoin with luxury brands. But the first step is getting the cards into people hands.

I actually agree with you...but sometimes one has to lower himself to make a point.

very low indeed.
to brag about your daughter being invited to a LV shop is really hilarious....ROFL
thx for the laughs

If took the time to read his post you would understand why I included that in my post. It is all about context. And I am glad you found it to be funny, but it is also true. Invited to a shop and having a store closed down for 2 hours is something totally different. My point is I do not need to invent a "life" on a forum, I have a decent life offline.

"What we have here is a lack of communication!". Well, not exactly: What we have here is Iconic desperately trying to make something inherently bad,  in every conceivable way, look... acceptable. Let's get this clear one and for all and with no room for interpretations or misunderstandings, semantics aside: PUMP, in the context of trading markets, is 100% bad. Period. No ifs, no busts, no maybes. It's actually illegal too ... in the real world and potentially also in the cryptoworld although pending precedent (imagine someone suing Iconic, these boards and Blackcoin for having lost a fortune due to Pump and dump schemes). Ok, before going further, "Dump", as in Pump and Dump, is equally a dirty word and equally illegal.

It is clear that iconic has a supersized ego, patently obvious. What he also has, beside an inflated "market-wise" concept of himself, is a total disconnect with reality... to suit his wild ideas "to help BC". And he takes any attack on his flagrantly obvious shortcomings to the common ground of "instead of attacking me why don't you tell me what you do for BC instead", as a sure way to deflate the attack. It's puerile, in fact, school patio stuff. And all of us here have seen "Wall Street" many times, so we are quite aware of the schemes that take place in Forex and the regular market. Most of us have also read the Flash Boys and many other books on the matter, not to mention seen "The Wolf of Wall Street" -great movie, bu the way-. What Iconic leaves out, so voluntarily, is that the SEC and the FBI ARE indeed watching over these schemes because, you know, they are ILLEGAL.

But the kicker is the pretended -we all know better- "muddling of the waters" when it comes to equate legitimate decisions, strategies, announcements, deals, etc., with illegal, organized activities such as the proposed pump and dump. That's not only absurd, not only NOT done by anyone (again: it is ILLEGAL) in the real world but also there are very strict punishment for those whose greed is tempted and filter "inside information". So no, the opposite is true and it is the obligation of every public company to release any information to the general public without benefiting in any way from the possible effects of the events, news or whatever object of such information.

But lets stop the rhetoric and cal it like it is: Pure and simple greed. When Iconic says absurdities like "I would round up a few friends of mine with $20k each..." or words of that effect, he's just going on his fantasy world. Assuming he has any real friends, assuming he has friends who participate and invest in the crypto world, none of them would have $20k that they would put in any way, shape or form, at the disposal of Iconic's absurd -and ethically and legally questionable- ideas. Not one. I doubt he himself has $20k to invest in this... but I'd be guessing and I don't want to do that. What is not a guessing game is that, for Iconic, the trading price of a major volume commodity or currency such as BC, not only is "manipulated" but SHOULD be manipulated... only to his liking and to serve his personal purposes (under the disguise, of course, of benefiting the "community"). It's just pure, simple greed, nothing else. Everyone and his aunt knows that when a pump takes place -and they naturally do, due to market euphoria, analysts releases and many other causes, the so called "smart money" has left the building already a long time before the bag holders run for the exits. A "market savvy" guy calling the shots Napoleon-like would be left holding "for the long term"? Come on! More importantly, how many of those "pumping" would become "smart money"? Finally, any so called "whale" loaded up on BC and obviously subscribed to the pump and dump group, whether private or public, would not be the first to jump the boat? ANY and all ways you look at it, this is a terrible, terrible, terrible idea only conceivable in the sick mind of a very greedy egomaniac. Because, clearly, what we have here is that, more even than a greedy one... The Napoleon-like situation, you know...

I have stated this before on IRC: This would come out as somehow sanctioned by the "Team" and would forever tarnish the reputation of BlackCoin. With the entire crypto community, the crypto-investing community and any noob coming in with curiosity and interest. Irreparable damage at that. BC has managed, through plain crazy luck, great community support and a "team" that so far has hit 99% of all the right notes, in less than 2 months what many others have failed to achieve in many more months, even years. It will have ups and downs in price that the "Team" should not even look at for it would distract them from the strategic plan and it will have big swings and, of course, attempts at manipulation by those with enough resources to game the game and all the growing pains of an extremely young and very successful enterprise. Jump in or jump out. Do help or don't, up to you if you even have a real possibility to do it. Cards? anything that exploits that gorgeous logo will be successful, be it cards, T-shirts, clothes, perfumes, anything... that would be marketing and will indeed come not necessarily pushing it, but when time is due either because the team decides to invest serious money in it or because outside forces find it potentially profitable and do themselves. Patience and greed, unfortunately, are like water and oil, they just don't mix.

Add an outsized ego and a tin foil hat to the equation, and you have a deadly cocktail.

Oh and, Iconic, before you go to the common place again, and suggest that I better do something for BC... well, I just did.

Thank you for your analysis of me, it was very entertaining reading. I find it flattering and also alarming that your 876 word post was focused entirely on me. You put in a lot of thought and effort to write something about me, but no one has or ever will put that much effort into writing something about you. Where I come from actions speak louder than words, and all I see from you is a bunch of words. In your 876 word analysis of me you forgot to point out two key things.

1. Numerous times I have promised this community I would do something and I delivered on what I promised. Not once have I promised this community something and not delivered.

2. In less than 3 weeks I created and began selling the BlackCoin card, a solution that will help add value to BlackCoin. I did that before even focusing full time on BC. And BTW the cards start shipping a week earlier than I promised.

People around the globe will be carrying and using something that I created for this community. Yes over 300 people around the world thought enough about my idea, but more importantly about me to send me their money and trust I would send them what I promised. You will never experience the feeling of creating something and having hundreds and eventually thousands of people use it.

I get numerous PMs a day from people offering support and thanks, and it is because of them I do not dump all my coins and my wife's coins and move on. I made them a promise I intend on keeping.

I know it is hard for you and a few others to understand that not all people live fantasy lives online, but I do not expect someone that writes 876 words about someone they think is an egomaniac to understand that. Since you took the time to write your fictional biography about me, I will give you some brief facts about me.

I started my first company in 2001 when I was just 26 years old. My first software product was sold in retail stores by the time I was 28. In 2006 my first major product was acquired by Avanquest software, and I used that money to start another company. Since then I have sold roughly a dozen websites/software products to larger companies. I am currently receiving bids for my current product Music Chow, and Music Chow is less than a year old.  I am 6' 4" and my wife is 6' 2", she was a former model and now she is working on her own natural cosmetic line. I have two daughters 4 and 15, and when my oldest daughter was 13 the regional manager of Louis Vuitton gave her a 2 hour private party in the Louis Vuitton store located in Atlantic City, NJ. She was the youngest girl ever in this region to be given that honor. Shall I continue posting my private life & resume, or have you had enough? There are a few people here who know exactly who I am and they also know everything I have posted is the true. I purposely keep who I am fairly private because I rather gain this communities trust and respect by my actions, and not based on "who I am" or "what I have previously done".

So when I say I have friends that have no problem spending $20,000 on an investment opportunity solely based on my word, it is an understatement. They know if I am involved it will make them money. See unlike you I do not spew useless words to make myself feel better, I take action and get the job done. I make other people money and I do it with little effort. I promised Rat4 and SoepKip I would give them $1 per card without a contract or formal agreement, and I have kept my word. One day both of them will do very well just based on the revenue from the cards.

So while you are analyzing me I am doing something that actually matters to this community. If I decide to never post anything here again, you will always remember me as the man that made you realize how very little you have accomplished in your sad life, but I will have forgotten you by the time I click post.
