My payment has reached maximum payout (it is 1000 ETN) but they still didnt send my ETN coins..

It will take a while, just be patient, it is a great virtue Grin

I always encounter this, just sit and relax, it wont take an hour or two otherwise, buzz them at support email them at etn@nanopool.org

Hi,

I often encounter the "Temperature control thread hangs, need to restart miner!"

Appreciate anyone to help..

would you know what causing this and how to prevent it? as I am loosing time in mining due to restarting.

Thank you!

Try to lower your clocks,

post your GPU hardware types and your existing clock configurations in order to help you more

Include also your OS and drivers your are using

My Details are:

Aferburner: 1070 Seahawk, i5-4460 3.2GHz, 8GB RAM
         Power limit  - 65%
         Temp limit  - 80 c
         Core Clock  - 0
         Mem Clock  - +650
         Fan Speed   - Auto
Im using WIN10 Enterprise - 64bit, Nvidia driver is 388.59, virtual memory is 16384 for both initial and maximum

heres how my .bat file looks like

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
_______________________________________________________________________________ _

Before when I was using the older claymore (10.0) and Win10 Home 64bit I didnt encounter this problem. Should I insert "-wd 0" to disable watchdog? will it still be safe when disabling watchdog?

Thank you!

Try to lower the mem clock at +500, increase your virtual mem to 16,000MB initial and 30,000MB max are you using Risers? if yes, try to replace them.

If you have multiple GPU, try to install single GPU only unto 16xPCIE slot for troubleshooting purpose.

Disabling -wd wont help, it will also freeze your system when GPU fails, I would suggest to look for the root cause of your problem.

If still wont work, try to reinstall ladrivers

1126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 470 & RX 570 for monero? how much Hashrate/s ? on: December 14, 2017, 04:10:39 PM
It also depends on the memory size (4gb vs 8gb) of your RX 470/570. How so?
My rx 470 4gb cards hash at around 700-710 h/s while my rx 470 8GB cards hash around 770-780 h/s.

Although currently, because of the nice spike in Ethereum's price and based on whattomine.com, Ethereum is still the most profitable coin to mine with these cards.

how much is earning per month  ?

Please see this :
whattomine.com

Always remember that profitability posted in whattomine can changed drastically anytime, so basically you can't tell exactly how much you can earn in a given or actual month, by math, its only estimates.

it could be profitable today, however you never know, maybe the next few days its not profitable already.
1127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Building a Monero rig,newbie here on: December 14, 2017, 03:43:45 PM
Hello and lets get directly to the point.
I have some old hardware I would like to use in mining Monero.

At the moment I have the following:
GPUs: 2x gtx 560ti, 1xgtx590 1X gtx770 4gb 1x AMD 5850, 1x AMD 4850 1xAMD 7950
CPU + MBs : AMD FX8350 + Sabertooth 990fx r2 , i7 2600K + Asus maximus iv extreme z
PSUs> Corsair 650w , Coirsair 550w gold 80 , Corsair 550W

Have enough RAM, HDDs, SSDs, Coolers, and other components. I have ordered an adapter to stack two PSUs. I will order some PCI riser as well.

At the moment I was mining with the GTX770 + FX8350 + HD5850 + i7 2600K ~ 1000 H/s / also using them for heating now in the winter but they are not working 24/7. Have to mention that I was using MinerGate .  I think now im gonna build a one miner to put in all the old hardware.

Power costs are irrelevant at the moment.

So here some questions:
1. Which MB to use for mining of the once I have now?

Wow, that's something a gaming board you have, honestly I don't have or use those boards but what I usually do is that I look for possibility of more PCI-e slots that could support more GPU's for mining.

Quote
2. Can I mine with GPU + CPU ?

Yep, this is possible, just look for a miner that supports GPU and CPU mining like Claymore and run 2 instances

Quote
3. Can I mine with NVidia and AMD in the same time?

Yep, however its a bit tricky on mixing those 2 type of cards, but Claymore miner can support AMD and Nvidia simultaneously.

Quote
4. Which software to use instead of MinerGate which will allow me to mine with all the cards

As stated above Claymore also can do this.

1128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Newbie RX580 questions on: December 14, 2017, 01:24:59 PM
Great choice of cards, I bought 20 of these, and they all came with Samsung Memory, so thats a good thing.

The only problem with them is they are 3 slot cards, so they are much bigger than others.
However, if you are able to find Sapphire RX580 Special Edition, then that would be a better option in my opinion.
My Special Edition cards are all 85%+ ASIC Quality, where the power color ranged from 70-85%
Do you know how much each RX 580 will be worth? i only have gtx 1060 here running and planning to build a new mining rig can you  give me some idea how much RX 580 each with samsung memory? if i have a very cheap or free electricity i was thinking that its more profitable than nvidia graphics card..

4GB model ranging about 249-279$ , while 8GB models range from 289-599$

https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=rx580&N=-1&isNodeId=1

From the details, you cant actually tell either you may get a samsung or elpida/hynix, it must be a luck when already on hand.  Grin

Hi everyone, im new here i have been mining all year on 2 rigs with minimal issues i have today build my 3rd rig which is as follows
H81 btc pro r2.0 mb intel g1840 cpu
Evga 1200 platinum
5 x gigabyte 1070ti 8gb gpus
2 x 4gb averir ram
5 x pcie risers version 4 or no 4
Windows 10 pro 64
My issue is i can get all 5 cards detected and all 5 take the nvidia drivers but 2 have the yellow flag on with code 12 device cannot find enough resource that it can use. Tried everything updated mb bios from 1.2 to 1.3 ive disabled onboard audio ive enabled 4g in settings ive tried gen 1 and 2 in pcie option ive swapped risers cards nothing changes its the same every time. Been on this all day and im at the end of my rope. Read so many pages and tried everything ive read so thought ill try a forum myself to see if anyone can help. Im no pc pro so answers as simple as possible. Any more info required to resolve please ask and if im in the wrong bit on the forum apologies. Any help or guidance would be amazing

I'd already posted this before, just in case you need it

you may try these:

set pci-e in your bios to GEN 1
try to set "above 4g decoding" to enable
check if you use your mobo's latest BIOS

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1833148.0

or Check TOLUD setting

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1768064.msg17656449#msg17656449

there are also hacks and solutions on this thread and might be useful to you

1130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Newbie RX580 questions on: December 14, 2017, 12:10:37 PM
I have been following from the sideline for a bit and now thought I would jump in.

I have very cheap electricity, so ROI would be a bit shorter and thought I would start with a 6 GPU rig. I watched a BBT episode (https://www.bitsbetrippin.io/pages/episode78) and checked the stock situation at the computer store and they had everything at home for the RX580 setup.

RX580 PowerColor Red Devil Golden Sample 8GB
ASUS Z270 PRIME A
Intel i3 6100
Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 8GB DDR4
Sandisk 16gb 3.0
EVGA Supernova 1600 T2
7x Risers - v006 (amazon)

Anything to change?

When looking at whattomine it gives me an expected earning of ~$20/day. Is that doable with that setup?

Thanks a bunch!

Yes it is, however, don't expect that it would remain on that profits, mining difficulty continues to rise and coin price is also volatile, it is indeed your great advantage if you have cheap electricity, so far your build is fine, just give your rig a proper ventilation.

Happy mining!
1131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Does mining hurt a computer, video card, or any other equipment on: December 14, 2017, 04:17:51 AM
Hi, I'm obviously new to mining.

I'm wondering if it decreases the life or damages equipment assuming I'm using a prebuilt pc with something along the lines of a gtx 1060 or 1070 video card.

When you say decrease the life compared to what? my mining equipments last over the years without fail, it already passed 1yr suppliers warranty, and I think could go more than 3 yrs. When compared to Idled equipment, It is obviously has shorter life as you are using it in FULL Load 24x7.

Quote
Is it possible to use the computer for other tasks while mining? I assume not since all the energy would be going right towards the mining.

Yes this is possible

Quote
Also, how does mining work using one or more graphics cards in a rig but without a whole computer? Is it possible to mine using a rig with GPUS that's not attached to a computer some how? Again sorry if these are all dumb questions, I'm just new in need of assistance.

There options on the miner to specify which card will be used in mining.
1132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Poor hashrate w/ Claymore miner Win 10 on: December 14, 2017, 12:25:13 AM
I am still experiencing the problem. I've upgraded drivers several times and chose clean install. From researching it seems the problem is caused in Win 10 by not having the 'Creators Update' version, however this problem started right after Win 10 was updated to that version.

In Nvidia Control panel I have Power mgmt mode set to Prefer max performance. If I set Optimize computer performance to on, Claymore spits out the 'cannot allocate big buffer for dag' error when starting.

Anybody have any other suggestions to get Claymore working properly again?

What version of windows 10 you've installed, suggested version is 1703, you may check control panel/system/about if you have Windows version 1703

Some users make it stable on these setups, A clean Windows install+FCU, AMD 17.11.2 and Claymore's miner
1133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 470 & RX 570 for monero? how much Hashrate/s ? on: December 14, 2017, 12:04:32 AM
hey guys
i wanna use RX 470 &  RX 570 for monero
how much Hashrate/s i receive?

you would get around 670-700h/s on these cards for XMR monero.

for ETH around 26-29Mh/s

for Zec around 270-290h/s

1134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ethereum mining on ethpool.org on: December 13, 2017, 04:20:53 PM
Ethpool is not like a standard pool where you are paid every round based on your percentage of valid shares contributed. Instead on Ethpool you accumulate credits towards a full block payout and only receive a payout once you accumulate enough credits to be the first in line at the top of the payout list for the next block found by the pool. Once you reach the top, you receive the next full block payout of ~3 ETH plus an Uncle payout if it's an Uncle block.

It's more like solo mining but you don't lose credit for the work you did if you don't find a block, like you do with solo mining. You also have the benefit of being able to estimate when you will receive a payout by looking up your wallet address on the miner stats page. With only 3 GTX 1070's, it will take many months before you reach enough credits for a payout.

The OP may use Ethermine.org instead, rewards are fairly distributed to miners using a Real time PPLNS payout scheme so you will be paid based on the shares submitted with 1% pool feel upon reaching the minimum ether payout. for now standard min payout is 1ETH and is adjustable down to 0.05ETH.

https://ethermine.org/

ok, what do you think about this:
https://www.crypto-coinz.net/crypto-calculator/

i found that there are so many error !
could you advise me?

What error? I don't see any error on the link you've provided, its only an online calculator for your reference, just choose your GPU's and will recommend what coins more profitable for you.

hello. need help about Sapphire R. NITRO+ RX 570 4gb vs Sapphire RadeonPULSE RX 580 4gb ,which one is better hashrate for ethash? ty

Not that big difference between the two, 570 could go 29mh/s while 580 reached 30mh/s, if you are after on reselling GPU's later on, then 580's will be my bet, however if you could go for more shorter ROI, then 570 is yours.

Try to use Claymore and mine XMR, I don't have gtx750 personally but you cant mine those cards on profit due to DAG issues on Eth.

Strangely enough, my claymore works in safemode, but the real question, is why are you running in safemode....?
Even if you were to get it to work you wont get the same level of graphics acceleration
J

The OP doesn't say it worked in Safemode, and so with you either I doub't if you could run it

Is there a solution to mine with claymore in safemode? When I start the claymore miner it says no amd opencl. Can I make an exception for this file in safemode somehow?

You can't run Claymore miner in Safemode, the solution is, go boot in NORMAL mode, install GPU drivers, run AB or Wattman and tweak them, if it happens that you've encountered error while running in normal mode, then that should be your assignment to be solved.

Just about to complete my mining rig with 2 vega 64 liquids and 2 nitro+ RX580's
are there any issues i should know about with having 2 different card types?
thanks

Its a bit tricky for vegas to make it work efficiently with lower temps and good hash, however, mixing with the above cards should work and should be no problem, below thread is a good read for Vega users with corresponding solutions and suggestions by the members how that GPU could be a best profitable GPU.
