True loves appeared when you are in the lowest level of your life

I tend to agree with this thinking.
In fact, I had similar experience in my life, so in my case it was true.
11202  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Whos paying more Russians or USA ? on: July 27, 2014, 06:55:54 PM
I think that user zeeshan98210 should post here again and in more details explain his question.
Otherwise, this will remain very confusing question and all other users will just speculate what is the question instead of answering it Smiley
11203  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin ? on: July 27, 2014, 06:48:05 PM
I think in this modern time, when girls are equal to the man in all fields of life, including top positions in politics, government, army, business such question is really odd.
Even if girls doesn't use Internet for virtual games and fights as much as boys, this doesn't prove anything, maybe just that man have more time to do stupid things, just for fun, than boys.
But, Bitcoin is much more serious thing and I'm sure girls can recognize this in the same way as boys.

Me being female... this shoudn't be coming out of my mouth but I'll lay it out anyways.

Most girls want it <it can be anything> to be handed to them instead of doing it for themselves. Holding onto a helpless dame facade can get you plenty. As long as the boys keep giving it away simply because the beggar is female... they'll continue to do. It's much easier to get coins from the guys than to learn how to do it yourself.

OK, this is another approach, from psychological perspective based on gender.
I can't say that I'm expert in this field so if this is your honest opinion, I will accept it but I think that we can't generalize and put all girls in one basket.
11204  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Hrvatski (Croatian) on: July 27, 2014, 06:35:32 PM

Smiley

11205  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is It True Love? on: July 27, 2014, 05:10:42 PM
In my opinion only true love is love that last forever, lasting love.
If you are always in search for new love, you will never find true love because you will always feel that maybe your next partner will be better and so on...
maybe it is good idea that you stop searching for new loves and start work on yourself, how you can love more Smiley
If you can change yourself other people will appreciate you more and your partner will love you more.
11206  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin facing multi-million pound legal action over alleged role in MH17 crash on: July 27, 2014, 05:04:49 PM
I don't see any sense in this news.
As statesman and president of Russia Putin have immunity against any legal action inside or outside of Russia.
Also, criminal investigation about MH17 crash has barely begun and it's very far from completion.
I think this is more media propaganda than real and serious plan or action by any authority.

11208  Other / Off-topic / Re: Israel requires its citizens serve in military when they turn 18, 3 years for me on: July 27, 2014, 12:58:28 PM
I think this is because of the circumstances Israel live since 1948.
Their neighbors are enemies, no close friends around, small country so I think they have no other way but to invest in their defense and protect themselves.
I think memory of holocaust also contribute a lot to their sense of insecurity.

11209  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Do Philosophers Do? on: July 27, 2014, 12:13:58 PM
They think and try to find answers to some questions of life, giving theories and thinking again about this theories and answers.
Very intellectual work, but not for everyone Smiley
11210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which city will be the center of crypto currency on: July 27, 2014, 11:46:51 AM
I guess There will be a city fully support crypto currency industry in a not far future.

The definition of city of crypto :
I. Any decentralized crypto currency is legal tender and tax free, let the free market decide which crypto will be the mainstream
II. Crypto companies have rights to keep customers profile secret
III. Gov guarantee will not interfere crypto currency industry

Obviously , New york isn't suit for that title.
I have some candidates :

1. Tokyo , though mtgox is in Tokyo but it seems japan still is very tolerant to crypto .

2. Hong kong , HK gov think there's no need to regulate Bitcoin if it does not pose a threat to the financial stability of HK .

3. Singapore ,  Bitcoin transactions may be treated as a barter exchange if it is used as a payment method for real goods and services in Singapore/

4. Los angles , California gov  have signed a bill legalizing Bitcoin , but not sure about the future .

5. Copenhagen , the Denmark top tax authority declared that personal profits and losses from Bitcoin trading would not be taxed

6.  Toronto , Toronto has many Bitcoin ATMs and lots of merchant stores accept Bitcoin  ( williamj2543 )

7. Offshore tax free country  , offshore countries will always be the heaven of crypto

So ..any thoughts ?

Ref : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_Bitcoins_by_country

Very good list of possible candidates Smiley
Personally, because already so many financial institutes like World Bank or other- UN, are already located in USA, i would like to see future center of crypto currency  outside of USA, maybe Japan or Denmark.
Still, I'm not sure that this will ever happen because of the nature of Bitcoin, with decentralization as main characteristic but we will see soon, i guess Smiley
11211  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'm on the news! on: July 27, 2014, 11:26:47 AM
Why somebody invest into a ponzi site?

It's very old question and answer is very simple.
People are desperate, in big financial troubles and in search for quick fix, something what can help them financially in very short term.
Of course, in 99 % of cases they never earn anything but this is like casino, people are addict and can't help themselves.

11212  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Americans Getting Poorer on: July 27, 2014, 11:17:49 AM
It is because culturally we (americans) feel that we must own a car, house, tvs, and other things for entertainment. As a result we borrow money. We all know what happens when we borrow money. Basically we made it culturally unacceptable to be poor so people would rather go further in debt than appear to be poor which they really are.

Very good point.
In fact, I think that this is true not just for Americans but also other western countries as well (plus Eastern Europe, Japan, South Korea etc.)
More and more we live in materialistic world where just money is important, not any more family, kids, friends etc.
But, there is one huge difference between social system in USA and in Europe.
In Europe we have very good social service, free basic health care, very good support for unemployed, free schools and universities etc.
In USA is different.
If you lost job you loose everything, and very quickly from nice, comfortable house you can sleep in the street.
From my viewpoint social system in Europe is much better and supportive for people in need.

11213  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is a hot target for criminals and money launderers. on: July 27, 2014, 11:05:56 AM
Bitcoin's concept of anonymity is a hot target for the greedy. Its structure helps criminals do their criminal acts. They can easily participate on illegal transactions without being traced (or a high possibility of not being traced) by the authority. Decentralization also helps them in accomplishing some serious thefts and laundering because nobody has the power to freeze their money unless they're traced by the government. This is just one of the many things why merchants all over the world doesn't accept the idea of using bitcoin into their business. It seems to risky for them to touch knowing that there are many possibilities that they can be victimized by theft and frauds.

Yes, very good point and something to worry really.
If we want that Bitcoin become mainstream and globally accepted by the merchants, we have to find solution for this issue.
I think in the future we will have to accept some kind of limited control over Bitcoin users and give up concept of 100 % anonymity, if we want that bitcoin really become globally accepted, the same (for example) as some digital exchangers already did (STP, payza etc.)
11214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Informal survey: What are Bitcoin's biggest challenges? on: July 27, 2014, 10:56:12 AM
Like the title says, I'm conducting an informal survey of Bitcoin's biggest challenges. Specifically, I'd like to hear what you all think are the biggest challenges in three categories:
  • Technically - As in the Bitcoin client, the operation of the system, mining, security, etc.
  • Culturally - As in mainstream acceptance, user and merchant adoption, Bitcoin's image (or image problem), etc.
  • Practicality - As in the practical uses and difficulties in Bitcoin (a good example would be people who worry over wait times for confirmations).

There's no need to limit your answers to one per category; feel free to pose as many as you like for each category or post answers to just one or two of them. Your answers can be as detailed or straightforward as you please.

Thanks, and I look forward to reading your responses!

Very interesting questions.
As Bitcoin client I think that security is fine but I'm not expert in this field.
Culturally, I think this is the biggest challenge for our Bitcoin community, how to make Bitcoin more popular, specially in young generation, so that step by step Bitcoin can become mainstream. If we don't succeed in this Bitcoin eventually can be just another good idea never realized fully. We should try to adverise Bitcoin more, and explain more to the public, specially to merchants, so that Bitcoin can be spend in many more ways, and this will eventually help that more people start using Bitcoin.
Practically I think very serious issue soon for all of us, who keep Bitcoin in hope that price will rise and we earn additional income from this, will be how to report this income to the tax offices.

11215  Other / Politics & Society / Re: White House: Republicans May Push to Impeach Obama If They Get the Chance on: July 26, 2014, 08:49:24 PM
Quote
The notion of impeaching President Barack Obama got substantial attention Friday from two White House officials, who both said senior Republicans wanted to see it happen. But they couldn’t name any senior Republicans when pressed.

Further, White House press secretary Josh Earnest expressed doubt about whether House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) was sincere when he said impeachment is not on the table.

“I do believe that the speaker said on a number of occasions that there would not be steps taken by Republicans to shut down the government over health care,” Earnest said of Boehner, adding, “Maybe you need to ask him a little bit more about whether impeachment is on the table or not.”

Some conservatives have called for impeaching Obama regarding executive overreach on issues such as Obamacare, immigration and guns without congressional authorization. The Democratic National Committee and Organizing for America have consistently used impeachment in fundraising emails to warn donors about what could happen if Republicans win more seats in the House and gain control of the Senate.

Anyone want to bet that this is just hot air?

I don't think this issues are good enough reasons to Impeach Obama?
In fact, Clinton's issue was much more serious (lying, sex scandal) but nothing happen.
In my opinion, this story is just republican's propaganda before the elections.
11216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what is the first question you would ask, if you met Satoshi Nakamoto? on: July 26, 2014, 08:43:09 PM
I would ask him what about his vision behind Bitcoin, his long term plan and goals?
I would like to know if he is content with the progress of Bitcoin until now?

11219  Other / Off-topic / Re: FIFA World Cup 2014!!! on: July 26, 2014, 07:56:16 PM
Brazil must win this cup or it would risk a third world war
Looking back at this, I am sure nobody would have guessed that Brazil would have been trounced to death like that, and then beaten by a dead goat after it.  Brutal match, hilarious and Brutal.  But the real surprise was watchingt eh U.S get ousted so early on, I thought for sure they would win the whole thing. Grin

I must say, after watching their first 3 games in the group I really was disappointed, it was obvious that Brazil is not strong enough to win World cup.
Germany really shower from the very beginning that they are very strong team.
USA did great, and also Mexico, Algeria, Columbia, and few others teams.
In my opinion quality of this World cup was very good.
I really enjoyed all games Smiley
11220  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ten Truths About the American Police State on: July 26, 2014, 07:34:33 PM
Quote
“The most dangerous man, to any government, is the man who is able to think things out for himself…Almost inevitably, he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, and intolerable.”
-H.L. Mencken, American journalist

It’s vogue, trendy and appropriate to look to dystopian literature as a harbinger of what we’re experiencing at the hands of the government. Certainly, George Orwell’s 1984 and Animal Farm have much to say about government tyranny, corruption, and control, as does Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World and Philip K. Dick’s Minority Report. Yet there are also older, simpler, more timeless stories—folk tales and fairy tales—that speak just as powerfully to the follies and foibles in our nature as citizens and rulers alike that give rise to tyrants and dictatorships.

One such tale, Hans Christian Andersen’s fable of the Emperor’s New Clothes, is a perfect paradigm of life today in the fiefdom that is the American police state, only instead of an imperial president spending money wantonly on lavish vacations, entertainment, and questionable government programs aimed at amassing greater power, Andersen presents us with a vain and thoughtless emperor, concerned only with satisfying his own needs at the expense of his people, even when it means taxing them unmercifully, bankrupting his kingdom, and harshly punishing his people for daring to challenge his edicts.

For those unfamiliar with the tale, the Emperor, a vain peacock of a man, is conned into buying a prohibitively expensive suit of clothes that is supposedly visible only to those who are smart, competent and well-suited to their positions. Surrounded by yes men, professional flatterers and career politicians who fawn, simper and genuflect, the Emperor—arrogant, pompous and oblivious to his nudity—prances through the town in his new suit of clothes until a child dares to voice what everyone else has been thinking but too afraid to say lest they be thought stupid or incompetent: “He isn’t wearing anything at all!”

Much like the people of the Emperor’s kingdom, we, too, have been conned into believing that if we say what we fear, if we dare to suggest that something is indeed “rotten in the state of Denmark,” we will be branded idiots and fools by the bureaucrats, corporate heads, governmental elites and media hotshots who have a vested interest in maintaining the status quo—or who at least are determined to maintain the façade that is the status quo. Yet the truth is staring us in the face just as surely as the fact that the Emperor was wearing no clothes.

Truth #1: The U.S. is on the brink of bankruptcy, as many economists have been warning for some time now, with more than $16 trillion in debts owned by foreign nationals and corporations. As one financial news site reports: “Internationally, the world is fed up with The Fed and the U.S. government’s unabashed debt growth. China, Russia, Iran, India and a host of other countries are establishing trade relationships that are bypassing the U.S. dollar altogether, a move that will soon see the world’s reserve currency lose purchasing power and status. In anticipation of this imminent collapse gold is being hoarded by private and public entities from Berlin to Beijing in an effort to preserve wealth before the Tsunami hits.”

Truth #2: We no longer have a government that is “of the people, for the people and by the people.” What we have now is a feudal monarchy, run by wealthy overlords and financed with the blood, sweat and labor of the underclasses who are kept in check by the increasingly militarized police. This sorry state of affairs is reinforced by a study which found that average citizens have “little or no independent influence” on the policy-making process. A similar study published by the Political Research Quarterly revealed that members of the U.S. Senate represent their wealthiest constituents while ignoring those on the bottom rung of the economic ladder.

Good read...http://tenthamendmentcenter.com/2014/07/20/ten-truths-american-police-state/

I lived several years in the USa and didn't have feeling that I live in police state.
In fact, I lived 20 years in very strict communist regime and was very happy to finally experience freedom and democracy.
I think that you should be happy that you live in the country where you can vote every 4 years and choose your political representatives and even critics them publicly.
In many countries you can't do this freely and if you express different political opinion you risk to go to the prison or worst.
So, USA are maybe not ideal country yet, but please believe they are still much better than many other countries.
