11241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: April 15, 2017, 01:52:20 PM
Some new videos with Dana White:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxV0vjixDe4

I think happening. He says Mayweather-McGregor will be only crossover fight so this means it's happening. Anyone that took a bet for the fight happening would have won me included.

Then this will be one of the biggest fight if not the biggest fight since Mayweather vs Pacquiao. Let's hope it push through to see which mouth is louder during the press conference.  Grin

I think this will be one of the biggest fight in the history, I will go for Floyd Mayweather over McGregor. It's obviously Mayweather will use the ring and will not engage too much against to Mcgregor. You know Floyd will not stake his 49-0 for nothing, when this fight happens, obviously he will use and control the ring just what he did when he fought Manny Pacquiao.

Yes, I agree, Mayweather will defeat Connor. Easy fight for Floyd. We all know how Floyd's fight so its up, but I'm sure this will be sold out and PPV record numbers in the making. And for all we know, they are all in the business of making money. 50-0 for Mayweather here.
This is a PPV record breaker for sure, it will never be surpassed, no other fight can ever come any close, you would need something ridiculous like Barack Obama vs Donald Trump to surpass Mayweather vs McGregor in terms of sales.

I LOL'ed at the Barack Obama vs Donald Trump thing. Hmm. I may have wondered if this can broke Mayweather-Pacquiao PPV record? If my memory serves me right. Connor vs Diaz 2 and Lesner vs Mir holds the record with 1.6M buys. while May vs Pac does 4M. The most I estimate if ever they fight is to double the current record of UFC which I put around 3.2M only. Still far the record. IMHO.

This will crush the May vs Pac record for sure, 5 million tickets minimum, possibly something huge like 10 million. May vs Conor will be the highest selling fight ever, I doubt it will ever be topped.

This is two martial arts discipline. Boxing and MMA. Both have a solid following. The fight will promoted globally and we know how Ireland loves Connor. Similar to what England has done to Ricky Hatton in boxing. And a lot of casual boxing fans love to watch Mayweather lost, so they will be buying as well together with the hard core fans. With that said, it can break May vs Pac PPV records.
11242  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Earthquake hits Manila on: April 15, 2017, 01:11:58 PM
Well a series of earthquakes actually rocked the Philippines these past few days and that doesn't really happen normally. I think this is actually a sign that something is coming and people from there should be vigilant and ready. I heard there were oar fishes washing up on some of the islands and a lot of people are taking this as a sign that a disaster may very well be forthcoming. Again it's better to be ready in these circumstances.

Yes. There was a series on small quakes last couple of days now. Is this is a sign for the big one? Government has been preparing since last year because they are expecting a big quake. I remember my kids telling me that they have been practicing earthquake drill since last year.

No one can predict when the big one is coming but its better to be prepared and ready. I hope it will not happened because lots of innocent lives will be lost. For those Filipinos who has not been born in 1990, a earthquake of magnitude 7.8 hit Luzon in July that year. I still vividly remember it, more than 1000 lost their lives in that unfaithful day.
11243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING & TRADING on: April 15, 2017, 12:36:45 PM
I personally won't recommend gambling simply because you can lose your money in a heartbeat. I deposited some money on a trusted gambling site and even though I had a strict plan I ended up losing my initial deposit. I also started trading and I'm already in profit. I kinda regret depositing money into gambling but at least I learned my lesson.

Lossing in gambling is obvious as compare to gambling. Because in gambling, chances of winning is very slim. In Trading who can somewhat mitigate our risk of losing but learning and studying the market before making any investment. And even when you lost, you are kind of adding it as a learning experience to yourself. So next time, you can avoid that same mistake. But in gambling its the other way around, the more you loss, the more you want to recover and inching to re-coup everything.
11244  Economy / Speculation / Re: Say bye to Triple Digits on: April 15, 2017, 12:00:46 PM
More like bye for now.

In 3+ years, we'll be back under $1,000 again.

Nice speculation but I doubt it will happened in the near future. I would have agree if the price is doubled, more like $2000++ in 3 years. And I don't think anyone here would have agree with your prediction either. Anyways, as the next halving will occur in the next 3 years, The question of the how the price will move is an interesting one.For me it will mean an increase in price as more people will be made aware of the crypto currency sphere and bitcoin itself.
11245  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: April 15, 2017, 11:02:04 AM
Dumps are a fact of reality when it comes to cryptocurrency trading, but those of us who are more intelligent will buy in when there's trouble and the price drops, unless there's a legitimate reason that the price won't ever rise again.  In Bitcoin's case, that's unlikely (especially with all the HODLers).

Yeah, that's why I'm always saying that everyone should used common sense and their better judgement if they are going to sell it or not. FUD will be always there, and they will not go away, its part of their job to spread it here so that someone behind will benefit from the negative news. So its up to us to listen or not. I pity to those who have, specially newbies in field of trading because seeing a drop price, they immediately sell and loss profit.
11246  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-4-15]Russia Considers Building Crypto Valley in Crimea Following Switzerla on: April 15, 2017, 10:27:16 AM
You forgot the link mate:

https://cointelegraph.com/news/russia-considers-building-crypto-valley-in-crimea-following-switzerland

To be able to build a crypto valley, Russia should first lay the foundation for its crypto-currency status like bitcoin. They are hinting to ban it initially, then making a U-Turn and said that they are putting regulations or making it legal. Unless they considered it legality, their crypto valley won't flour as much as they want to.

Russian's officials have been contracting each other statements. We don't know who the central figure is with regards in making statement about crypto-currency in Russia. They should have put someone in charge so that this roadmap of their could take shape because there is someone leading it.
11247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 213: Bisping vs GSP Info and Prediction Thread on: April 15, 2017, 12:38:36 AM
Well i've been waiting to see GSP in action again though i'm not really sure about him winning. I think Bisping is a bit too big and i'm not sure if GSP would be the same as before. The last fight for Saint Pierre didn't actually go out that well even if he won. I'm just excited to see him back in the octagon
Bisping really has a weakness in the ground game and i am sure GSP's game plan will be to take him down and wear him down. One of the main reason GSP left the company was because of the lack of testing and he was an advocate to implement Olympic style drug testing policy with UFC and when his demands were not heard and he is having a hard time fighting juiced up fighters he simply quit and now he is making his return because things have changed.

This is GSP's come back game and he picks the Bisping for a reason. Bisping is the weakest amongst champion and GSP has a solid chance to dethrone Bisping in his comeback. Bisping has a good take down defense, but I think GSP will not have a problem with this, and will take him down easily. And I agree with the strategy that you said, and it will likely how the fight will turn out. I have to pick GSP to win his comeback game.
11248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 60,000 Unconfirmed transaction and counting on: April 15, 2017, 12:06:50 AM
This is just 60k it will went thru eventually, I have seen more than 100k unconfirmed transaction and network still goes on, no delay on my transaction as long as I pay the right fee.  This maybe an attack but who knows, maybe Bitcoin is getting that much adoption that unconfirmed transaction pile up.  Larger Blocksize or Segwit, just get on the upgrade so we can have a better user experience.

This is definitely an attack on the bitcoin. This has happened in the past and have come at the same time as when the news of another hardfork is looming again. And this attack cannot be overlook. Who is behind this? Well your guess is as good as mine. hehehe  Smiley. And I'm pretty sure that many has left scratching their heads just who is really behind these. One must question who will benefit in this sorts of attacks. So I guess, we will just have to let it pass and see what damaged has done in the bitcoin ecosystem.
11249  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-04-14]Japanese Banks Could Use Common Blockchain for Money Transfer Trials on: April 14, 2017, 11:03:03 PM
Even before legalizing bitcoin, Japan has already led a blockchain consortium to enhance the cross-border payment industry. They are focused on research and development, which cover foreign and domestic exchange services maximizing blockchain technology. They also believe that through blockchain technology they can build  a system than can offer flexibility at the same time improving the stability of financial institutions globally. Japan is truly leading the revolution in bitcoin market and blockchain technology.
11250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: April 14, 2017, 03:12:00 PM
San Antonio Spurs-Memphis Grizzlies

This is Potentially interesting round. This teams played 4 games in this season and both win twice,on their own court. Off course, play off is totally different thing than regular season and Spurs showed us numerous of times how serious team they are, great job coach Pop and his assistants are doing, but nobody can win that easy on Grizzlies court, so we might have ourselves a six or even seven game show to watch.

This is really interesting. Both teams are healthy going into the playoffs putting this series a highly contested one. But I will pick San Antonio to win the series. Marcus Aldridge will be the deciding factor. I think Memphis will be having a hard time matching with him. Leonard will be his usual self in this series and if Marcus elevate his game more the series will really tip in favor of San Antonio. Spurs in 6 games.
11251  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Insights into the Mindset of Super Traders on: April 14, 2017, 02:38:23 PM
I don't think this so called super traders would just simply spill off their secrets. They would just give you a glance on how they work and earn and profit. Different style applies to different person. You just cannot follow strategy that won't fit your goals. I agree with what  Qartada said, this is a crappy book, you should go out and trade to gain experience. No theory or books will give you that.

No one will share their strategy/tricks especially if they really earning on that way unless the tip are not working anymore. This is what the majority of book writers write about. Experience is the best teacher and we must learn base on our expeditiom in the world of crypto's so that we can witness with our own eyes the best strategy that fits to ourself preference.

I agree mate. This is similar to those Internet Marketers who are selling their services to teach people how to earn. Offering services and charging them for a high fee, then at the end of the day, you still don't know how to get good money out of internet. You should learn as you go along the journey to trade and this makes it is more satisfying. of being spoon-feed with all the information. You feel yourself very rewarded every step of the way.
11252  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin by Christmas 2018? (POLL) on: April 14, 2017, 01:10:11 PM
if trend continues we will be able to see 2k$ per bitcoin by 2018 its early to speculate but its almost 2 years and their is always possible rise up from time to time, bitcoin last year made it double again from 600$ to 1200$ by now so if another two years or less 2k$ is achievable. can't wait to see that rise up better to start buying and holding btc now.

I also voted for $2000 by Christmas $2018, although we are still far from it, a lot can happened, maybe the scaling drama is over by that time so the only obstacles has been hurdled already and bitcoin will enjoy the best year in 2018 can will make the price go to $2000. I also factor in the legality of certain countries to adopt bitcoin like Japan did right now so I speculate it will touch $2000 in 2018.
11253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 212: Aldo vs Holloway Info and Prediction Thread on: April 14, 2017, 11:51:58 AM
I think this will be a close fight between Aldo vs Holloway,in terms of stats Aldo got the advantage on this match. In my opinion this fight will end in a decision, I'm craving for Aldo vs Mcgregor in years but the match will never be happened even how Aldo strive. By the way I'm waiting also for the last slot who will be the opponent of Anderson Silva, @tokeweed hopefully you're right.

Yes, in paper it looks like Aldo has the advantage. But Holloway is a live underdog. We all love for Aldo to win because we want him a rematch with the Connor, but this is not an easy fight for him.

@tokeweed

What a match if Silva with face Yoel. Yoel is a monster, I don't think Silva can win if they face each other. I just hope for Anderson to retire. He has already cemented his legacy. No need to get that body bang again with the likes of Yoel Romero.
11254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mass Adoption & BTC Friendly Countries on: April 14, 2017, 11:18:47 AM
Of course Japan is leading the revolution when it legalized bitcoin and has been promoted in their country like hot pancakes. Another country I see bitcoin friendly is Canada, There are a lot of bitcoin related sites you can found. Philippines has already has put bitcoin regulation as well this year so its very much bitcoin friendly too. China for its mining capacity and Poland officially recognizes trading in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as well. Of course, Uncle Sam, the great US of A is always there. So there are lot of countries recognizing bitcoin can than help it mass adopted in the next couple of years.

11255  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-04-14]Talk of 2018 Bitcoin Legalization Premature: Bank of Russia Official on: April 14, 2017, 10:48:33 AM
I don't think the Russian government is looking to legalized it, maybe putting a regulation in place to check that it is not be use for scam or any other illegal activities.  Regulations for tax purposes or just to monitor every transaction for KYC and AML compliant. Bitcoin is growing everyday, and I don't think that any government can really put a hold on bitcoin technology. But if they decided not to legalized or regulate bitcoin, Russia will be left behind in the crypto-world scene, Japan has started the revolution and other countries, Russia wouldn't want to be left in the dark.
11256  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Negative effects of technology on: April 14, 2017, 12:13:36 AM
I have sister which is 11 years old. It makes me really sad how I see her and her friends go outside so they can go on a crowd and stare at their phones instead of playing as we did in the past. I miss the old days...

Yes. It really sad to see them like that. Technology has really a bad effect on kids specially on their social skills. Social skills are the tools we used to interact with others. Gone where the days when we meet new friends through conversations, asking or answering questions or even making eye contacts. But with the development of new technologies, children now are spending less time in front of other persons. As a result restrict them this kind of exercise which would help them in the development of their social skills needed when growing up.
11257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: April 13, 2017, 03:17:53 PM
As a Cavs fan I'm glad this season is over, it was awful to watch and the team had a lot of up and downs, especially in recent weeks. I hope they can "flip the switch" and enter playoffs beast mode soon. I'm sure they can beat Indiana in the first round but the Pacers always give the Cavs some problems so I don't think they can sweep these series unless the mindset changes 100%.

As for the rest of the series, I think Bucks agains Raptors could be interesting in the East while in the west all series have something too look for! In theory Spurs, Warriors, Clippers and Rockets should advance but as we know there've been plenty of upsets in first rounds in recent history. Let the games begin!

I'm sure with the playoffs coming in, Cavs will step up their game. The month of March was truly a disappointing for them. I'm expecting Cavs to begin acting like they are the defending champion and start to win basketball games again in succession. I'm seeing Deron Williams as the X-factor that would help them closer to another ring this 2017. Other worth mentioning is Kyle Korver, coming off the bench and providing needed offense specially in the 3 point line will definitely help the Big Three.
11258  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-04-12]India's Government to Consider New Digital Currency Rules on: April 13, 2017, 02:18:44 PM
I hope that India will not ban bitcoin in their because many Indians are also into bitcoin. They should put regulation what the Philippines did, so that our Indian counterparts would still enjoy bitcoin and that cash flow going into bitcoin ecosystem will continue as India is a big market for bitcoin as well.

Bitcoin as a whole is growing larger and larger, and thus it makes sense for governments to put new regulations in place. If you look closely to the countries that have done this already (chances are high that they will even add more regulations throughout the years due to the demand for Bitcoin), then it's clear that governments don't consider Bitcoin to be a joke anymore. It's not a real threat either at this point, but they are taking precautions right now to not fall behind too much. And btw, no worries. India will not ban Bitcoin.

Russia also coming into picture hinting toward possible regulations of the bitcoin industry in the near future as well. Regulations will be set by the country's Central Bank, a measure taken in advance to prevent something unpleasant to happen like fraud and other illegal activities using bitcoin. So imagine big nations like China, Japan, Russia and India giving bitcoin ecoystem a steady cash flow.. So the future of bitcoin is really bright.
11259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going to 2,000 $ soon ? why not ? on: April 13, 2017, 01:26:47 PM
Hold on tight guys. We are just reloading. We will definitely reach our destination. And 2000 is just another stop over. The journey is longer than expected.  Grin

No, it's not that easy as you are saying. And the next stop over would be $1,300. And another stop over, adding $100 to the price of bitcoin is even hard. I believe that one day bitcoin will be at $2,000 but seeing it for this year, that's not going to happen. It's either $1,400 - $1,600. But not at $2,000.

i am sure that in someday bitcoin will be at $2,000, maybe next year or more. but for now, i think if bitcoin price can get stable in $1,500, it will be surprise for us so the next range price can be reach in next year. i think to reach $1,300, we need time and maybe we need more than one month to see the price.

Many are saying that price of bitcoin will possibly happen on next year, but who knows maybe it can be a surprise for this year. But right, it is good to see that price is good and stable at $1,200 but of course we are expecting some more of it and if it is possible, new investors will come in when they saw that price is high.

Its too early to expect that high price of bitcoin in this year, bitcoin surely has an ability to achieve that price but may not possible in this year and if it touches it in this year then all the investors would be making really good money by selling their coins at that price.

We really can't have the assurance if the price of bitcoin will reach this price but there is one thing that is guarantee. The price can go up anytime from now and that is going to depend on the investors or even by a move of whales because they are the ones that can do a lot of things for making the price to pump.
It can also go down anytime when whales decide to pump altcoins once more.
Nobody knows.
Lets just watch it and enjoy all the drama. Maybe this is a bearish shark and we will go back to 1100$ or maybe this is some healthy growth to a new ath while the blocksize issue isnt solved.
Everything can happen in shortterm rightnow.

I agree with your speculation. Drama on the scaling and blocksize issue is not over yet so whales would took advantage of this news and maybe anytime would go for the pump on altcoins. Although we hate whales doing this, we can do anything about it at long. Newbies will be the one who will hit hard if such scenario happen, they will sell their bitcoin in a heart beat because they area afraid to loss. Let's just be alert for any price movement.
11260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC on FOX 24: Johnson vs Reis Info and Prediction Thread on: April 13, 2017, 12:36:51 PM
There's also MMA pundit Robin Black saying that Reis could win it vs Johnson if he could control the latter's back.  That's hard to do.  Johnson is just too quick.

Anyway, I made my only bet for the main card.  Waterson to win money line at 2.25.  I think that fight is a coin flip.

I doubt he can take Johnson's back, like you said he's too quick and has a solid defense with his back against the floor. On paper, Namajunas and Waterson have similar skill sets with each sharing a background in traditional martial arts before adding other elements to make it to this level in the UFC. I still give the edge to Namajunas although I like Waterson, Namajunas edge will be her well rounded game she has developed.
