Great final in Miami from two player Federer and Nadal. This was Federer's 3rd title this year and if he continue to keep up he will be returning to right track in the moment and he already is pressuring Djokovic. This year will be great for tennis.

I'm so happy for Federer getting this one. Yea, he's putting pressure on Djoko and Murray to always on their top game when facing him. Although I read that Federer is taking a 8 week break from tennis. He's doing this because he's body needs the rest, he's not getting any younger and to compete with those new ones, he is resting. I feel he will be coming back strong and will raise another tennis cup in the future.

Same here as I have been a Federer fan for a very long time now and it's great to see him winning some more tournaments at his age. I think that by taking some weeks off we get him ready for the French open as he will need to be in top form if he wants to compete against the best players in the world. So far this year he is showing how good of a player he is at his age and let's not forget about Nadal who has also been playing some great tennis so far and will once again be very hard to beat in the French open and that is why I think Federer is taking some time off to get ready for this Grand Slam.

Yeah I think this 8 weeks long rest will rejuvenate and will help him be more energetic once he's back specially the French open. Imagine him winning 19 out of 20 matches this year he is truly amazing specially at his age. We can't take anything from Nadal as well, he played good throughout this tournament, as I have said before, its more on mental and Federer just proved superiour. But Nadal will be back specially in the French open.
11322  Economy / Speculation / Re: Static btc price on: April 04, 2017, 10:33:57 AM
From yesterday we say a steady increase in price and it is giving positive impacts till now .but i guess the price will go down from 12 th of april .hope you sell your bitcoins and be prepared to buy the bitcoins from the mid of april ,you will gain a lot of profit.

What so special with the 12 of April? Do you have any source that will back up your claim? Bitcoin price has been steadily climbing as I wrote this. Bitcoin price is not good enough for you to even attempt to instill a sense of fear in the minds of other bitcoin enthusiast here?
I think users here are smart enough and use their better judgement in seeing comments like this in our community. This is purely speculation on your end. The market price of bitcoin is moving and I doubt this kind of FUD will not affect and do harm for the bitcoin ecosystem.

Cryptocurrency Market Cap Soars to All-Time High Near $28 Billion

A bullish 2017 for bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies has helped spur the overall cryptocurrency market cap through a series of highs this year, to nearly scale $28 billion over the weekend.

On Sunday, April 2, the collective market cap from Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies (alt coins) reached an all-time high of $27.9 billion. In the lead-up to that figure, combined cryptocurrency trading volumes exceeded $860 million in a 24-hour period. The swell has been helped by strong showing from a number of cryptocurrencies including Litecoin and Ripple, both of which have witnessed tremendous gains over the past week. Litecoin prices have doubled in a 5-day period, while Ripple prices soared to a 2 year high, scaling beyond $800 million in total market capitalization. A record-setting March for Ethereum also helped the combined altcoin market to push beyond $10 billion for the first time ever over the weekend.

Bitcoin in India: Legal or Illegal? Govt Could Declare Verdict in April

According to a report, the Indian government could declare its position on the legality of bitcoin, the world’s most prominent cryptocurrency, in the country on April 20.

A report by regional investor publication MoneyControl has cited a government official aware of developments from an ‘inter-ministerial committee’ recently installed by the Indian Parliament to study the legality of the popular cryptocurrency. According to the source, the committee is tasked with giving its response on April 20.

The report adds that a final decision about bitcoin’s legality is unlikely to materialize during a meeting of the sub-committee on April 20.

11325  Economy / Speculation / Re: People selling alts to go back in BTC on: April 03, 2017, 07:06:12 AM
Looks like the bottom was 8XX, now that the hard fork fears are going down and bitcoin unlimited is pretty much dead beyond any reasonable expectative, I can see more and more people jumping back in the Bitcoin train. Looks like ETH already peaked and BTC bottomed.
Yes,its time now for bitcoin rally to begin again. The rally was postponed for few days due to BU.Now,its clear that BU is a failure and its clear that lots of rumours were spread to promote panic selling among new investors. Now its time for Bitcoin spaceship to take off.

I think the people are buying BTC now and its above $1100. As I have said, FUD spreading about the BU vs BTC schism seems to died down as the days goes by. So maybe they are just going back to btc to invest and try to profit. I don't know if the whales are still manipulating the market price of bitcoin behind, but by the looks of it they are now. Another factor I'm seeing that is causing the price of bitcoin to a steady rise is Japan acceptance of bitcoin. So its a combination of different parameters that makes the price of bitcoin jump now.
11326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what bet size do you start with when gambling dice? on: April 03, 2017, 06:39:04 AM
I started with as little as 1-100 satoshi when I just want to have fun and let it auto-roll for me. If I got lucky and I have it doubled or used max bet to see where my luck will get me through. But other day I started with 1000 satoshi or more as starting bet and put win chance by 49.50% and do manual betting. So it really depends on the day I play or depends on the initial bankroll I will deposit on a online dice game. If I have more bitcoin, I go higher bet, but will small bankroll I just small bet and try to increase my bankroll.

Bitcoin Tops $1100 As Japanese Payments Law Goes Into Effect

After a virtual rollercoaster over the last few weeks, Bitcoin is back above $1100 today as traders anticipate demand with Japan recognizing bitcoin as a legal method of payment starting yesterday.

A weak dollar has helped the bounce back from SEC's ETF decision and fears about the fork but demand from Japanese consumers has sparked the most recent push back up to $1100...

As Coindesk reports, the country's legislature passed a law, following months of debate, that brought bitcoin exchanges under anti-money laundering/know-your-customer rules, while also categorizing bitcoin as a kind of prepaid payment instrument. It's a debate that began in the wake of the collapse of Mt Gox, the now-defunct bitcoin exchange that shuttered after months of growing complications and, in the end, revelations of insolvency and alleged fraud.

According to Japan’s Financial Services Agency, that law went into effect on 1st April, putting in place capital requirements for exchanges as well as cybersecurity and operational stipulations. In addition, those exchanges will also be required to conduct employee training programs and submit to annual audits.

Yet there may be more work to come in this area.

For example, Nomura Research Institute's Yasutake Okano indicated in a May 2016 report that other Japanese laws may need to change to account for the tech, including the Banking Act and Financial Instruments and Exchange Act. Reports indicate that other groups in Japan are moving to plug some of those gaps as well. According to a report from Nikkei, the Accounting Standards Board of Japan decided earlier this week to begin developing standards for digital currencies like bitcoin. Its work mirrors other efforts being undertaken elsewhere, including Australia, which began pushing for such standards late last year.

11328  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dropping like a stone on: April 02, 2017, 03:20:55 PM
people are afraid after so many falls

I guess will take some time for them to recover confidence and buy again

I think people are having more confidence in bitcoin now. The price of the altcoins are starting to drop, and bitcoin price has risen.

its not about more confidence in bitcoin per se ,rather less confidence in altcoins
but I don't see bitcoin price rising much,it is far away from the pre ETF peak of 1270$
also LTC has been pumped recently, along with some other coins and DASH and ETH are going strong

But still, this is a good signal for bitcoin ecosystem. Bitcoin price is rising in a steady manner which is a good thing as we don't want to have a pump and dump scenario again and those we are caught off-guard will loss.  ETC/ETH is down as I write this reply only LTC is being pumped currently. The pre-ETF price peak is still reachable, but with the phase bitcoin price is going for the last couple of day, I think we are going to see it in the future or maybe at the end of the year.
11329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you buy for money won? on: April 02, 2017, 02:50:25 PM
For my non-bitcoin wins, I just buy cameras, iphone, ipads and other tech gadgets and give it to my kids to play around. I still have those, except for the iphone that I have lost. Ipads are still being used eventhough they are 4 years old already but still useful to them. Laptop still there as well but I have to replace the battery though. For bitcoins, I haven't buy one because I don't play as much as I what because I have a offline business to managed.
11330  Economy / Economics / Re: Is USD being used for illegal activities? on: April 02, 2017, 02:02:50 PM
It's not just USD that can be used for illegal activities, it can be also other currencies. The thing here is USD is the most valued fiat all over the world and many countries accept it.
yeah not only USD but all currencies in the world. during the currency is valuable and can be used to buy, then it could be used for illegal activities. very simple

Exactly, every single currency in the world could be used for illegal activities. The most valuable and and the most accepted are also most used for illegal activities, including US dollar and also Bitcoins. That was the big problem at the begininig, and also in a way is now, because Bitcoin was often accused as a criminal currency.

Agreed. Even bitcoin now are being used for illegal activities. Even terrorist do. The problem lies in how to stop them. This is a mouse and cat game for every government in the world. Criminals will always find ways to exploit of both fiat and bitcoin to their advantage. Terrorist groups sometimes move money via otherwise legal means such as charities, businesses, banks and alternative institutions. Again, the government should make ways to counter this because in the end, we are all victims here.
11331  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are You Disappointed In Trading? on: April 02, 2017, 01:13:04 PM
Disapointed in trading is normal, but i never stop trading. I learn much more about analysis and emotion control

Disappointment is the end of success. If you are disappointed, it means you will quit trading and thats not good. Learn from mistakes and you can even recover your loss and then gain profit from trading.

Most of the time, disappointment in everything is just a normal thing. And when it comes to trading, that's just a normal thing too because you will simply learn from your mistakes there. You will not experience and learn new things if you don't experience to become disappointed. I admit that I experienced disappointment many times but it's fine to me.

Disappointment is natural. But how you handle it, is different. Some newbie in trading who are expecting to profit in a short time usually gives up because they are disappointed and easily gives up. They didn't know that is just part and parcel of being a good trader. Because this will help you in the long run to make proper judgement to profit. And we all know that at one time, every professional trader experience it but they didn't give up easily and continue making trades.
11332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, Crimes, and Terrorism on: April 02, 2017, 12:19:23 PM
I'm afraid is inevitable. We can't control what other's will do with bitcoin specially using it in terrorism, illegal drugs or illegal activities. Just like what terrorist are also doing in the Internet. They are using social media to run fund raising campaign, online recruitment. More so, terrorist group have their own websites to share their propaganda. Can you blame Internet then? If the government want to track them, then can used blockchain to help them piece vital connection and their movement. Its not bitcoin, or Satoshi's fault.
11333  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why gun is easily available in US? on: April 02, 2017, 11:27:45 AM
In order to answer this question, you should understand American history, cučture and tradition.
100-200 years ago America was wildness and everybody had guns in order to protect themselves.
It was way of life, as you can see in American movies.
Even American constitution confirm such right, that all citizens can have guns.
In this way, America is really very unique country.
Of course, because of it, there are a lot criminal and violence in American society.
Because of this people are even more scared and buying more guns and this circle never ends Smiley

Partly I agree with you, If you look at American history, specially after it won its independence from Great Britain, American. They created Bill of Rights and on of them is the right of people to keep and bear arms. But you also have to understand the reason why they put it in place. It was there because the thinking at that time is that everyone can keep and bear arms and can organize together to overthrow any leaders who seems to abuse its power and who often uses that power in cruel and unfair ways.

So if Americans wanted to really restrict gun ownership, it wouldn’t simply have to get Congress to pass a law - it would have to persuade all of the individual states to agree to the change too.Which I think would be very difficult to do now.

Bitcoin Mining in 2017: How to Remain Profitable in Challenging Environment

Bitcoin mining is the process of adding transaction records to Bitcoin's public ledger of past transactions. In the early days of Bitcoin, mining was performed by individual computers running the Bitcoin nodes as they compete to solve algorithmic problems while confirming transactions on the Bitcoin Blockchain.

The fastest computer to solve a particular problem is rewarded with a specific amount of Bitcoin, and that is how new coins are introduced into the ecosystem, hence the term “Bitcoin Mining.”

Increasing difficulty

As time passed, “Bitcoin halving” factors in, technology improves and more efficient mining equipment developed. This gave rise to increased mining difficulty as the rate of competition skyrocketed.

Instead of having millions of individual computers independently mining Bitcoins across the globe as is assumed to have been the original intention of Bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, what is obtainable nowadays is the installation of massive mining farms.

A Bitcoin mining farm is usually comprised of a huge number of processors, known as mining pools. These pools are interconnected to compete as a single unit in the transaction processing competition on the Bitcoin Blockchain. This, in essence, automatically makes it extremely difficult for small independent miners to carry out mining profitably.

SegWit2MB Proposal Combines Segwit Activation With Predetermined Block Size Increase Date

Even though it sometimes appears as if we are getting closer to a bitcoin scaling solution, that is far from the case. Yet another proposal is making the rounds under the name of Segwit2MB. While many people assumed this was an April’s Fools joke at first, it appears this proposal is seemingly legitimate. If that is the case, it is a rather useless proposition, though.

To put this new proposal into perspective, Segwit2MB does not necessarily seem to serve a specific purpose. Its creators want to merge this concept into bitcoin through a combination of a soft and hard fork. It will use Segwit as it is today with a 2MB block size increase in the form of a hard fork, which is set to occur at a predetermined date.

Combining a soft fork and a hard fork to appease to all bitcoin communities makes little to no sense, though. Once SegWit activates, there will be a future block size increase already. Introducing an additional hard fork to achieve this goal is counterproductive at best, which is why this proposal is met with a lot of skepticism. Even the developers admit Segwit2MB is not the best possible technical solution, which is rather intriguing.

While it is true more proposals to see SegWit getting activated is quite interesting. Then again, the UASF seems to serve that purpose just fine, assuming it will ever happen. Organizing a user-activated soft fork takes time and careful planning, though, and it poses its own set of risks and problems. There is no “clean” solution to solving this problem, although that is not exactly news either.

11336  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Project Heaven - head transplant on: April 01, 2017, 02:59:43 PM
I'm sorry but I don't believe that such transplant is possible for now. This is bad science. As a understand it, he claims to say that we have the technical abilities to perform such difficult surgery, but are there any preliminary experiments to back it up? Does the medical or ethical board allow this kind of Frankenstein procedure? I don't think so. I find it hard to believe that anyone is taking Canavero at all seriously.
11337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When I talk to NON-BitcoinTalkers they don't know.. on: April 01, 2017, 02:22:43 PM
All this panic and vitriol really isn't necessary..

BU vs CORE, big blocks vs SegWit blah blah blah.. .. ALL the people who live outside of the little bubble most of us live in, here, have NEVER heard of any of this.

lol.. they sort of look at me blankly and say : Whhhaattt ? .. er..  So there are 2 Bitcoins ?

I then say - no, not yet...

And then we start talking about something else.

They HAVE heard of Bitcoin though. (And they haven't heard of any other coins I might add.. too much information for them)

..

Honestly - I think we get a bit toooo wrapped up in it. Stroking our 'precious' Bitcoin..

We need to get out more. 'BitBoy' will still be here when we get back.

..

..I'm off to the park.

(ps. Just sent some mBTC.. they received it instantly on their phone (as always - just not confirmed).. an hour later I had 3 confirms.. Mempool down to 2MB.. meh.. all systems seem to be back to normal.. really not sure what all the fuss is about.. hehe)

Majority of bitcoin holders doesnt have an idea regarding the internal problems on bitcoin and we dont need to explain to them those technical details. They enjoy bitcoin and supported it more than the technical ones. The reason why bitcoins price has recovered fast after the deflation was due to non technical bitcoin holders who thought it is a great opportunity to buy bitcoin when it is low.

Actually this is true for big investors behind bitcoin. They don't care what's going on behind bitcoin ecosystem. They just want to invest and buy and profit in the end. And if I remember it correct, this is also the pitching point of the Winklevoss ETF, it will allow investors with brokerage account to invest in bitcoin wihout having to worry about the technical details (storing and safekeeping in a wallet). But the interesting thing is eventhough is has been rejected, investors are still buying bitcoin and taking advantage to profit from it.
11338  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Internet Marketing on: April 01, 2017, 01:50:12 PM
You should start with a website and try to drive traffic into it first. The most basic way is create content on the site, make a fanpage and promote it on Facebook, and then share your website content here to attract audience. After doing that, you will know what you need to learn more.

Facebook marketing/advertising is the most effective way to promote something you offer. And what's good about it is that can reach a lot of traffic and potential people who has a connected interest to your product, FB is already identifying their members interest because of information the same thing as google do it.

Yes. Facebook and Twitter should be part of your media campaign. Just include your link, blog or website to your tweets. But you have to be careful in using your twitter account name. It is very important to choose account name and images the same with your brand. There are a lot of tweaks that you can improve on your profile page and don’t miss these important features because this will help you expand your presence and business in the horizon in the Twitter world.

As we were expected, another Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal FINAL. Last years, it was all about Djokovic vs Andy Murray, now the spotlight return to the classic. This time, I rooting for Rafael Nadal because Roger Federer just play so much game in the way of this final. Even though there a 1 day rest for him, I still doubt he can recover his energy in time.

Damn. Federer proved me wrong again. I though he has enough and his body is telling him to rest. That was one hell of a match, a nail biter. It can go either way, but Krygios downfall was his antics and Federer is ready with it. Obviously, the crowd is behind Federer and was rooting for him. It will be another classic from the 2 legendary players. It's hard to predict who will win. I will just say that whoever has the heart and the mind to push their body to the limit will win this finals.
11340  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your Bitcoin Assets on: April 01, 2017, 08:40:34 AM
I also voted for holding bitcoin now. I'm not affected by the BU vs Core schism. I will just continue to hold it and then buy some. I won't listen to FUD spreading here in our community because I'm the one who will decide if holding its worth it. The price has been steady for the past week at a range of $1000-$1200 so holding is the best option. I will buy some if I have a extra money, but not now. I will hold it so I can maximize profits if I decided to sell it in the future.
