Read this before posting: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=14632.0

You are a newbie and hence accepting PP will be a huge risk for anyone even if the amount is small. Try offering another payment mode if possible.
11362  Other / Meta / Re: Trust abuse by a scammer (Fanfic) on: August 09, 2015, 07:29:53 PM

Are you sure? I have never heard of someone banned due the spam of negative (or positive -neutral , why not?) trust. Can you give me some link (of thread) so I can read them? Thanks.

I have read a case where a user kept spamming MZ's trust by creating multiple accounts while here the case is the opposite (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1000239.60) Symantec was banned for about 2 weeks if I remember. If this case is considered spamming, it should be banned too.

11363  Other / Meta / Re: Trust abuse by a scammer (Fanfic) on: August 09, 2015, 07:14:29 PM
This user fanfic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=536948 is abusing the trust system by leaving false ratings on many accounts (mine too). I don't even know who he/she is nor have ever interacted with him but by looking at his "Sent feedback" he seems to be leaving similar ratings on other accounts. It's weird and I guess it can be counted as spam which can call for a ban too.

It could be counted as spam, but I don't think his trust comments are to be considered 'trusted' by the entire community .... or am I wrong? So at the end it is not real a problem.

I know it's not a problem at all because he is himself having 3 DT negatives in his kitty.  Cheesy

The problem is the spamming and here spammers are banned (whether for posts or for trust). Having not interacted with a user makes his rating meaningless and noticing he leaves similar ratings on any random account can earn him a ban.
11364  Other / Meta / Re: Is there any way to recover PMs on: August 09, 2015, 07:06:24 PM
Don't you have a copy of your messages in your email? You get a mail whenever you receive a message along with the matter and so it can help you to get the required information while if you want YOUR sent messages then you can PM the admin.

@redsn0w: If he is using a random email then it can be understood that he wants to restore all his messages. Else if it's an email account he has access to, his job would be easy.

@BTCBLOGGER: Oh OK. Then admin can only help you.  Sad

11368  Other / Meta / Re: bitcointalk is pathetic on: August 09, 2015, 05:47:43 PM
I don't understand what's with the constant cribbing about the forum and signature spammers (there are far too many threads discussing the issue which has no permanent solution yet). It's OK to crib once or twice but like every time to crib (even after months) is like weird. If anyone is so unhappy with the forum they are free to leave the place and find a better place. Many are pretty OK with this forum and hence they are here. No forum is perfect and each has its own flaws so it's better to switch rather than stay and feel disgusted about spammers (as scammers exist on each forum).
11369  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is crashing. Why? :( on: August 09, 2015, 02:58:44 PM
I don't know what happened in just 4 days and the rate has just declined. I have just had a loss of about $0.6 as the amount I have is less but it must be even more who are saving their bitcoins. It's seriously not a good sign.

Bitcoin lost 5,5% in value in the last 24 hours. That means you have 11.4 $ in bitcoins. Math, wow. Smiley

LOL! I said in 4 days I lost $0.6 and I have now $7.75 while it was $8.35 4 days ago. The price is decreasing rapidly in just 4 days while earlier it used to take a week for the price to decrease. The price used to be stable for a week with $2-$5 decrease/increase.

@jonald_fyookball: I know I don't have much in my BTC account but even I am worried about the price fluctuation just as you or anyone else. I have seen that last month the price was pretty stable at $230-$250 so am a bit upset and hence my frustration over the price.

11371  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTS] BTC for Perfect Money/OKPay on: August 08, 2015, 10:56:37 AM
hello
I saw that long time you trying sell this amount, if you accept my rate I can do it(for $8 okpay)
cheers

I don't mind waiting as the amount is quite small. I can't go for below the market rate and I got buyers who buy it for a good rate so I'm in no hurry.  Smiley
11372  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what do you think about xapo.com on: August 07, 2015, 07:29:16 PM
Xapo is a trustworthy payment processor but the confirmation time taken is more than blockchain. The only good thing for me is that it does not charge any fee as compared to blockchain. It requires phone verification which makes it more reliable compared to blockchain as there is a 2FA authentication method to stop any fraudulent transactions.
11373  Other / Meta / Re: bitcointalk is pathetic on: August 06, 2015, 01:27:37 PM
It's not BCT that's pathetic but the trolls who keep creating many accounts everyday just to pass their time are making this forum look pathetic. The amount of scammers too are increasing and they are just waiting to scam via PayPal almost everyday.
11374  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: August 05, 2015, 02:50:36 PM
I will refill the hot wallet as soon as possible! (This time it'll be quicker)

Last week's payments did not add posts that you made from when you were supposed to be paid to when you were paid (after the delay). That's what should have happened. So, 'missing posts' (not actually missing) should be included in this week's payout. If not, I'll manually pay those who were underpaid.

Within the next 24 hours I should be back with Internet (no more traveling so I'll be more available)! Smiley

Thanks for the update  Smiley
11375  Other / Meta / Re: buying trust from me!! on: August 05, 2015, 02:45:04 PM
Buying trust is allowed here but it doesn't happen OPENLY in the forum while in PRIVATE. The only way possible to buy trust here is to sell accounts or buy accounts with positive trust/green trust accounts. While the former is frowned upon and gifted with negative ratings, the later is discouraged but not considered a BAD deal.
11376  Other / Meta / Re: Is this behaviour by people on DefaultTrust (level 1 & level 2) allowed ? on: August 05, 2015, 01:55:03 PM
What happens when Person A and his DefaultTrust sponsor sings in the same tone ? When challenged, the response is coming something like this...

It's but obvious that the case is lost before being heard. However, voicing your opinion in Meta can put pressure on the DT member to recheck his/her ratings or/else leave similar ratings on others pointed out by person B. Leaving inaccurate ratings/ratings for personal issues over a period of time can lead to both the members being off DT trust list.

Also, if the rating left on person B isn't for a personal issue, the DT member may take into account the other cases stated by person B while the final decision is up to that DT member only.

11377  Other / Meta / Re: Is this behaviour by people on DefaultTrust (level 1 & level 2) allowed ? on: August 05, 2015, 11:23:47 AM
It's allowed as DT members set their own rules. Some being responsible, some are careless and leave ratings for personal reasons. It's best to contact the person who has such irresponsible members on their trust list to exclude them stating valid reasons else you can also open a thread in Meta and share the reasons why the rating is not justified.
11378  Other / Meta / Re: ATT: moderator ------ question on: August 05, 2015, 11:20:47 AM
I feel that instead of deleting topics, the topics can be edited and any affiliate links/websites can be removed unless the links are malicious. There's no harm in that.

Bad news: That ain't how it works here  Grin Grin Grin

~BCX~

I know that and hence it was a suggestion. I've seen many threads where newbies try sharing their referral link while being unaware about the rule and then it becomes a discussion among members and they share useful information with newbies. When the thread gets deleted, all those contributions as well go in the trashbin. I've seen few instances of it and hence I suggested it.
11379  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make a profit buying and selling BTC? on: August 04, 2015, 11:46:11 AM
Instead of buying low and selling high, there are other methods as well to earn profit while trading and reliable as well. You can offer more payment options while selling BTC like Perfect Money/Skrill and then sell the PM/Skrill for a higher amount of BTC/PayPal which earns you more profit. There are many buyers who offer 5% more while selling their Skrill funds for BTC and hence it's worth trying.
11380  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTS] BTC for Perfect Money/OKPay on: August 04, 2015, 11:42:14 AM
I have 0.0289 BTC which I want to sell via PM/OKPay. I need 10% more than the market rate via PM/OKPay.

Will be adding more BTC funds soon. Buyer needs to go first else escrow is welcome.
I can offer you 6 usd PM Smiley for this amount ,  let me Know if you are interested

The market rate is $8.23 and I am taking 10% more than this amount. You are offering me $2.23 lesser than the market rate so I can't accept your offer Sad

@123change: Sorry but the exchange doesn't seem trustworthy.
