This coin uses another miner, look in the first post. Also today a stratum-compatible cpuminer was released:

Should I be CPU mining this or GPU mining.  Little confused.  Since there is a GPU miner out already wouldn't CPU be unprofitable ?

where is the gpu miner for qrk?  I apparently missed it. I'd love to gpu mine these bad boys

I am offering a .5BTC bounty for a Applecoin CPU miner.

The main function of the CPU miner is to enable all cpu miners to connect to pools to get shares. The miner must display the current hps and easily configurable to mine pools in either in a .bat file or interface.

Please post this around the forums.

The first developer to post working CPU miner links claims the .5 BTC bounty. If you wish to contribute to the bounty, PM me.

Regards,

Admin.

Probably the best start for devs is the ybc cpu miner found in this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=250501.msg2666452#msg2666452
which supports stratum but not the different scrypt-jane parameters Applecoin uses (--Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1384720832)

So suppose I have to manage a lot of transactions from a lot of addresses, this could be very annoying on the long-term no ? If there is a need to "reset" the wallet or making a script that involves splitting a transaction into a smaller chunk ?

Or it's just if A send to B, and there's less than 160 different "A" address, B would only send balance / sum(different A) ?
I don't really get this point... Is it really useful in the process ? Is there any way to get rid of that ? Shocked
The 160 transaction limit is there to avoid huge transactions over 100kb or so. Unless you are mining on a p2pool you should be fine. I think the current Quarkcoin release gives a warning if the transaction is too large, but not sure as I still use the old one.
Someone could add CoinControl to QRK too.  Cheesy
1152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: QuarkCoin-The price and potential on: December 06, 2013, 02:26:14 PM
Lots of miners sold their coins over the time, seeing the prices fall lower and lower. I once had 500k...

Your thousands of coins don't get succesfully transferred to an exchange and always get stuck? That's probably because you have too many small amounts of QRK in your wallet, which you can't send in one big transaction, you'll have to do many small. Open the debug window and type: sendtoaddress QbrKoVbkqFem4KVPaTVZhotw4Dhd1RQBuc 500 (change to your address if you want to  Cheesy, 500 is the amount of coins)
After pressing enter immediately press arrow up and enter again a few times, this is a lot faster than doing the transactions manually in the Qt window. If the coins did not get through run quarkcoin-qt.exe -salvagewallet to save the coins and try a smaller transaction. A transaction can contain up to 160 prior transactions, so if you got many p2pool transactions of 0.1 qrk you could send up to 16 QRK at a time.
1155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][USC] First merged minable scryptcoin UnitedScryptCoin on: December 05, 2013, 10:50:46 PM
Sorry if these questions have already been asked and answered:

How hard is it to apply the merged mining patch to other scryptcoins and to coins using other algos like YAC and QRK and their clones, would those builds be valid to the network and how many people are doing this already?

Still waiting for my first block... 450 kH/s, how long are your blocks apart now guys?

U_U stop wasting your time this coin is false, the website doesn't exists, the name is taken from a real exchange of paper money rvdmarkets, find it on google.
Obviously I am not the only person who thinks the name, logo and creator of a coin doesn't matter much compared to the characteristics of the coin, or I'd have found lots of blocks already. Even a lame QRK clone is better than most scryptcoins imo.  Tongue
Still found nothing, feel free to send me some coins, as they are worthless anyways if we want to believe the naysayers:
