Although the initial post says a lot about Applecoin, I think it is important to mention the current hashrate.

Steady Pool hashrate is running above 500 MH/s
with Yesterday reaching a peak of 1.2 GH/s

This is running Scrypt-Jane on a difficulty over 12 !!!

That certainly says a lot.
We have some pretty serious miners on Applecoin who are running their rigs 24/7


Trading stats on a tiny unheard of Exchange are already averaging above 400,000 APC/day ... at the prices that is 20-25 BTC /day

Might not seem like much, but for a coin that is less than 3 weeks old and not even on a major exchange...  Says a lot!

APC Price dropped only 25%...  and then bounced right back.

At current BTC prices compared to APC prices.... APC must be 20x more valuable to mine right now!

It is, way more profitable to mine than LTC. Luckily coinchoose is still too stupid to add scrypt-jane coins, or we'd be at a Terahash already.

Yeah, it got that high and crashed the Pool Server. Which is fixed now because he upgraded the servers again.
I think he has had to upgrade the servers 2 or 3 times in the past week alone to allow for the A) # of connections, and then B) the Hashrate.
