I personally have tried with 400TH for a few hours a few times and got nothing, 3Hrs gives you 18 Chances on average to hit a Bitcoin block, the longer the rental the better, I say wait for more participants.

^^ slow and steady wins the race, figuratively (patience is a virtue). you are already only going in with only 100th, so you would definitely want as much time on the cock to increase your odds. the German group is running at 1ph, and they haven't found anything yet, so that should tell you something. why be impatient and decrease your odds.
They have like 10 coins left, and a couple hours on their 1PH rental, so almost halfway done there. 22coins, and 1PH rentals is like 4.25 days worth of mining time. That would be crazy if they did not hit a block AT LEAST. But it also wouldn't surprise me, mining is a gambling game, it just depends if you have enough luck.
here's what I thought we do a run,  post the results and start a new one

How about this, I'll wait till Saturday about mid-day to start. Rent 24 hours of hash and we will see what happens.

I wonder how long it'll take to fill these spots?
Hopefully soon. I know the German group currently has 1PH for like 4 1/4 days, or 22 BTC worth. So far at least through a day or two.
maybe we should set a time frame and start a round regardless of the number of players?
It is up to you guys, I am down for whatever happens.

Hi ezeminer,

I'm just new to bitcoin and I have 0.05 on my wallet, want to join this thing since you have a very good trust rating, but could you please enlighten me on what this is all about? I want to learn and at the same time I want to earn.  Grin Pardon me for my noobness.

Sure I wouldn't mind explaining this.
So everyone pools funds together to rent hash. I rent the hash for everyone and point it back at the address you send your funds too. If we hit a block the address will have a new input for roughly 25 BTC. I then divide it among all participants and send out all payments, also ask if you want to hold back any funds for donations to -ck. If not you get your cut.
1148  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [Solo Group Mining] Block Breakers United on: February 01, 2016, 06:20:05 AM
i wanna join!! but please wait more few hour Grin i hope can make it on time.. waiting for some payment today..
im goin for 0.05 group Grin hopefully that enough..
We will start mining once 10 people join, so don't worry. Once we get 10 people there will also be room for extras that join within 24 hours, if the rest of the group wants it.
1149  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [Solo Group Mining] Block Breakers United on: February 01, 2016, 05:38:57 AM
i wanna join! Kiss

Just copy and paste the template, and send funds for the appropriate group. And you'll be in Cheesy
1150  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Lifetime pool luck for antpool vs kano.is or why aren't you mining with kano.is on: February 01, 2016, 03:30:15 AM
Having dealt numerous times with Phillipma1957 on and off the forum , I would not consider him a sell out or being paid by anyone for what he does.
If he does get paid directly, it is also not our business. He backs his info with facts in any thread he has. He is very helpful on pretty much anything I have ever asked him about in the past.

He is one of the very few people we should NOT be worried about being a sell-out on this SCAM-ridden and BS-filled forum...

On that note, I started on KANO.IS early last year and have been stuck on it (in a good way).
Always earning more than any other pool, even after some less than prosperous days of red blocks.

I only wish KANO would have an alt-coin pool.   Wink

I wrote the thread  because I believe what I wrote.

Sure does help when the luck rate is  over 120%  since I wrote the thread.

I have zero Chinese hash in any form.  My gear is at

 kano.is
solo ck pool
jonnybravo
compac stick club
mmpool
I find it interesting how much philip has done for the community and has kept doing awesome things. Hosting group buys, offering free hash for people that got screwed (and getting a block), and helping people in general. Keep being awesome phil.

If I ever go back to mining, I will probably choose kano over slush. I never knew there was this much variance.
1151  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Taking Offers] 2013 Casascius VOID Coin (MS-65) on: February 01, 2016, 12:11:06 AM
So far no offers on this coin. I must admit I am pretty surprised by this!

I'll give you 150 ether for it.
I would assume he is looking more towards an offer of 4 BTC at the very least. But I could be wrong.

I wouldn't worry about it. Trolls always exist, unless people step forward with real proof, you should be good.

Also you could get a 1TB HDD and store bitcoin core on it. It'll leave you set for probably another year or two until you'll need larger drives / dividing up the blockchain information.

Added, best of luck Cheesy

Currently 3/10 positions filled for Group #1 (0.05 per person), which will rent hash with at least 0.5 BTC once 10 people join.
1154  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE servers 154 blocks solved! on: January 31, 2016, 02:48:14 AM
Where can i find a group i can mine with?
I'll shamelessly plug myself:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1345538.0

But there are others,

A German group that has hit 4 blocks:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1318387.0

And smaller ones that are trying to get up and running.

I must warn you though, invest at your own risk. Because this is pretty much gambling, but gambling on if you will mine a block or not.
1155  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Jan 26 to Feb 9 picks are open. 0.2btc prize on: January 31, 2016, 02:40:06 AM
+17.0 = ezeminer

Hopefully it doesn't go this high, but if it does hopefully we see a nice bump in the price.

Edit: I forgot a word, that word is there.
1156  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Block Breakers United (Solo Group Mining) on: January 30, 2016, 09:24:30 PM
You're in. I will update the list once I get home.

Do you have an address available to send Bitcoin back to in the event of a win?
1157  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk Escrows - Trade Safely! on: January 30, 2016, 03:21:25 PM
I've updated the list with a 'BIG 3'.

Who would you choose as the other 2 escrows to make it the 'BIG 5' once again?

SebastianJu and obviously Dabs.
I would agree with these choices for the BIG 5
1158  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Block Breakers United (Solo Group Mining) on: January 30, 2016, 03:16:26 PM
Just made a run at it myself and currently found 1 block using 800TH power.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=763510.msg13723757#msg13723757

Don't think I'll invest until you start running the 1 or 2ph groups, I don't really see 100th getting lucky enough. Each run the EU counterparts did, it seems they were running 500th-1ph. If you want to bump it up and try 500th instead of 100th, I'd probably down for that.
That's pretty cool, Congratulations.
1159  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Jan 26 to Feb 9 picks are open. 0.2btc prize on: January 30, 2016, 10:23:29 AM
So the real question is, are double digits back to stay? Because we're at 14% projected.
1160  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: January 30, 2016, 05:56:39 AM
Why most of the campaigns are still listed on Active list when they do not have any available spots anymore?

Op needs to check the list every now and then to make it the most updated one.
Also it would be nicer if you add a green colour to the names of the active campaign lists Smiley
It's almost updated daily, I don't see the need to change the structure he has already laid out. It has all the explanations and every campaign out there. There is the Closed for new participants, the ones that are going on but not paid yet, and the open campaigns.

EDIT: All the available campaigns are open, so I don't see a problem.
