Terrorism is out of the question here. But I don't know what the religion of the boy is, and as I have suspected, the kid has difficulty integrating with the schools and have issues with some of this fellow students. But the important thing to notice here is, how the hell the boy have so many weapons in his arsenal and just walking around school premises with it? France has a very strict law on guns and needed permits to get one. So I think the need to review their law and investigate more on how the kid get his gun. Good thing that no one died, but the next time maybe they would not be so lucky.
11442  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 210: Cormier vs Johnson Info and Prediction Thread on: March 18, 2017, 08:28:03 AM
Daniel Cormier is a fighter with a very long history in the UFC genre so I think that Daniel Cormier will win the match against Anthony Johnson. I am not too sure that Anthony Johnson is a good fighter or not because I haven't watched any of his fights as much.
Daniel Cormier has an age advantage so he may have more wisdom than the other fighter so this match should be an interesting one. I'll watch the match on YouTube or something.
If you are not sure who Anthony Johnson is then you are not watching UFC and i can bet on that. He is one of the top ranked fighters and is considered to be the hardest puncher in the entire MMA world,if he touches you,you will sleep and age is against Daniel Cormier because with age it can have a toll on your health.

I agree he is one of the hardest puncher in MMA, he already put a lot of his opponents to sleep with his punch. But DC took a huge overhand right in the last fight and kept on keepin’ on. He has tasted Rumble's punch, but didn't fold. Although I believe that punch didn't land 100% on DC chin to make a damage. My point is DC has a solid chin, unless he is hit my a solid punch, he will keep on coming. With his age, I think he has a good stamina and can stay a full 5 rounds, I don't know about Rumble though, he usually gasses out. So I'm still picking DC to win.

Could This Be The End For Bitcoin Unlimited?

BTC & BTU

In the midst of a heated discussion on the scalability and future of Bitcoin, a group of 20 Bitcoin exchanges, including major eastern and western ones, have announced that should a hard fork occur, they will list BTC (Bitcoin Core) and BTU (Bitcoin Unlimited) as two separate currencies.

This decision, backed by BitFinex, BitStamp, Kraken, BTCC, BTCChina, ShapeShift, BitSquare, QuadrigaCX, and other exchanges, was announced in a joint statement.

This announcement reads:

Since it appears likely we may see a hardfork initiated by the Bitcoin Unlimited project, we have decided to designate the Bitcoin Unlimited fork as BTU (or XBU). The Bitcoin Core implementation will continue to trade as BTC (or XBT) and all exchanges will process deposits and withdrawals in BTC even if the BTU chain has more hashing power.

Santander UK Terminates Bank Accounts of Bitcoin Exchange Bittylicious’ Users

Bitcoin exchange Bittylicious has received notice from U.K. bank Santander stating that it will be terminating bank accounts of users transacting with the exchange; however, it fails to explain the reasons for doing so.

Bittylicious took to Twitter to break the news saying:

@Santanderuk are now closing down accounts of anyone that sends to #BTC exchanges. The anti-competitive UK banking system must be broken up.

According to a letter from Santander, it said:

Under the terms and conditions of the account we can withdraw banking facilities by giving you notice in writing and, in line with our company policy, we don’t give further information about how we’ve made our decision.

It adds that users have two months to find ‘alternative banking services.’

11445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin became a byword / always a subject of discussion on: March 17, 2017, 03:08:47 PM
Bitcoin is always or sometimes a subject of discussion on other social media site but once I heard in public. It was in Starbucks were 2 yuppies around 20-25 years of age, were discussing about it the "virtual currency" as what they called it. I didn't try break into a conversation or discussion especially to express my opinion. Was was against it saying it is used for illegal activities, but the other one is for the bitcoin and he said that he will invest in bitcoin because he saw it as a good investment platform. I'm guessing this guy is also into forex thing locally that's why he is keen on investing on it.
11446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Solitaire on: March 17, 2017, 02:20:34 PM
I never played solitaire games not with bitcoin but altcoin, I thought it would be cool if there is a gambling site to solitaire using bitcoin payment, I put my eye on this thread to see what I'm looking here  Roll Eyes

Well if you can play it will altcoin and so can play it wit bitcoin. I don't know a gambling site that support solitaire as game and bitcoin as payment. For one solitaire is not as popular as dice game so not many gambling site offer it. But why solitaire if I may ask? I just play it when I want to past some time and I easily got bored from playing. So I'm really interested in playing solitaire with bets, but would rather just as past time to get over boredom.

EU Parliament approves call to free De Lima

MANILA, Philippines – The European Parliament adopted the call of a group of lawmakers to immediately free detained Philippine Senator Leila de Lima, the fiercest critic of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.

In a resolution on Thursday, March 16, the European Parliament said it "calls for the immediate release of Senator Leila M. De Lima, and for her to be provided with adequate security whilst in detention."

European lawmakers also urged Philippine authorities "to ensure a fair trial, recalling the right to the presumption of innocence, to drop all politically motivated charges against her, and to end any further acts of harassment against her."

11448  Economy / Speculation / Re: $3000+ on sight for this year after BUcoin disaster on: March 17, 2017, 11:09:18 AM
The fears of a hard fork were bringing clouds on the bitcoin price, with some people planning to short or go back to fiat, but those fears are now cleared after BUcoin collapsed. Now Core can keep doing a good job keeping our BTC safe, the price will keep organically growing, and let's hope that miners start being reasonable after this and adopt segwit, but with or without segwit price will keep going up because bitcoin is still insanely undervalued.

Really?  3000 USD just because of the 'BU disaster'?  How can you come up with none sense such as this?  I mean I know you're excited and all, and that you want Segwit activated but if the 'disaster' is what really makes you think that will make BTC surge to 3000 USD, then you need to get your head checked.

Maybe $3000 is possible but not because of  the "BU disaster". I agree with you it doesn't make sense.  Smiley ETF decision is a non factor already and we have proved it. $3000 is achievable for me because I think the positive effect of the ETF decision is that bitcoin has open doors for a lot of speculators and investors and maybe looking at bitcoin market as a good portfolio to put investment with. So a lot of cash will flow to bitcoin ecosystem, so maybe at the year end, we are knocking at the door with $2000-$3000 in sight.
11449  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin - and fall in market share on: March 17, 2017, 10:44:53 AM
Etherum already overtakes bitcoin momentarily, trading at volume totalled $424.9 million USD, while bitcoin’s was still at $383.7 million.  Here's the link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1830698.0.

Although is only briefly that ETH overtakes bitcoin, it only shows that it can be done at we all should not overlook at it. ETF rejection has little effect on the price of bitcoin. I think that the scalability issue is the issue I see that has really a lasting effect on the price of bitcoin. As a have said before, is so disappointing seeing this holdback the future of bitcoin. So much politics about a simple solution that would have help the bitcoin market to really take off in the next years to come.
11450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: March 17, 2017, 09:21:33 AM
children doesn't need to know about currency, but teenagers does, and i think there's so many explanation video in youtube so don't wasting effort wasting your time when you can just give them about the link of video so they can learn from it,whether they will be interested or not,it's definitely depend on them
You have a point there's no reason for children to know about bitcoin because they all know is to play.  But teenagers are different from childen, teenagers are more matured and they have much experience. Teenagers also have expenses to prioritize so that they need to know about it. You don't need to explain to them how it works because there are many videos in youtube about bitcoin.
For a teenager there is a very great incentive to study bitcoin, this is a real prospect of financial independence from parents. Now teenagers and so very much use the Internet for earnings, and bitcoin will increase their chances of success.

This is probably true but it really depend on the teenager and hist parents. I think parents should involved kids or teenager on the families financial goals. It doesn't mean that their children will stop want they are enjoying. At least they should be more accountable for the money being spent. So in this sense, if the children know how to budget allowances, then you can inject bitcoin in to your discussion and can explain the benefits and satisfaction of earning their own money through bitcoin and this will lead to their financial freedoms from their parents.

Ether trading overtakes Bitcoin

Trading in Ethereum’s digital currency, Ether (ETH), briefly surpassed bitcoin for the first time on Thursday afternoon. The trading preceded an eight percent price drop in Bitcoin, plunging from $1,222 down to $1,132 before recovering to $1,180 in the afternoon.

Ether has been trading at record highs over the past week. The “fuel” for Ethereum is up 23% today alone. On Thursday morning, around 9 AM Eastern Standard Time, the 24 hour trading volume totalled $424.9 million USD, while bitcoin’s was still at $383.7 million. Bitcoin’s trading volume has historically dwarfed Ethereum, and the “honeybadger” of crypto quickly regained it’s position.

Bitcoin’s Scaling Debate is Devolving Into an All-Out Twitter War

The bitcoin world has been in something of a furore over an attack that, on Tuesday, took down most of the nodes running Bitcoin Unlimited – a controversial alternative version of the cryptocurrency's code.

Though the exact details of the attack aren't clear, here's what we know: After a couple of bitcoin users posted the link to details of a bug exploit that could allow anyone to remotely crash Bitcoin Unlimited nodes, an unknown attacker used the method to take down over two-thirds of the devices.

A 'hot fix' was released later that day, and by Wednesday, most nodes had popped back up.

The news comes a just couple of days after Bitmain's AntPool announced that it would switch its mining pool to the alternative bitcoin software, bringing miner support one step closer to the 75% hashing power threshold needed to activate Bitcoin Unlimited's rules.

Unsurprisingly, the event made a strong impression on the community, and both supporters and critics alike have been vocal in expressing their reactions to the event.

11453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you know game like pusoy or tongits? on: March 16, 2017, 12:48:05 PM
Its very boring card game. I didnt see any strategy. Its all related luck. It looks like a little bit hearts card game. ''From highest to lowest, diamonds (♦), hearts (♥), spades (♠) and clubs (♣), with the 2♦ being the highest card and the 3♣ the lowest.'' You r lucky if u find these or not.

Make some research for this game. It writes ''chinese poker'' in ur video but Wiki says Filipino poker. China copy everything include this game Smiley

It is good game because it is pinoys game. On the otherwise you can be strategize on that matter to win in the game specially the pusoy game because it has plusis,  straight,  full,  quadra and straight plusis.  A combination of cards on which you can win in the game by being strategic.

Its actually a good game and its not based on luck, you have to have skills in order to win. Heck, even a 3 pairs can win if you know how to put your cards in a winning way. My friends are playing this every night because its also friendly game. Last time I played with it,  I won big but it was like 6 months ago. I can even play it here every night with friends but I'm too busy right now. And its not boring as you claimed it to be, you can't even know that you already playing this game for the last couple of hours because its fun and you can double your money if you beat the banker with good hands.
11454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Supertition on: March 16, 2017, 12:08:19 PM
Most people in this thread are stating that they are not superstitious, but I bet some of them really are. It would be nice to see a poll on this topic, where people can vote without revealing their identities.

I've noticed that when I gamble on Saturdays I always lose so I avoid gambling on Saturdays. Is that a superstition?

Maybe most of them are just hiding it. I am superstitious also. I think i got it from my parents and other relatives when we play card games with bets.
There is this one thing I remebered what my Uncle said to me. "Never keep in your pocket the money that you are winning if the game is not yet over." He means just let it be in the table until the game ends.
It is actually hilarious but I keep doing it until now.  Grin

I'm not able to go to casino so I haven't anything significant to report to you guys. But the above post caught my attention. Maybe a lot of us are superstitious but are just hiding or ignoring it. I like the "Never keep in your pocket the money that you are winning if the game is not yet over." I also have that in my mind. To put a little spin in it. "I don't keep in my wallet"  but only in my pocket. I keep the money I won in my pocket even if the game is not over yet. But only in my left pocket. Why left? because I'm a lefty myself so its my winning hand.  Grin
11455  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you manage ur emotions? on: March 16, 2017, 11:33:17 AM
I've been saying this all along. Emotions is really the worst enemy of a gambler or a trader for a extend. It's hard to control them specially if you are a amateur trader. And since being a trader means that you have to continually make decisions that can cost or make you money, and even result in major losses, And also if you are Over-excitement, it can also significantly influence your decision-making process. Being too euphoric or excited can be dangerous because you might analyze risk wrong or are too casual about potential losses.

11456  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate islam? on: March 16, 2017, 10:45:13 AM
....The Americans have killed thousands of american natives when they occupied America but the new generations cannot be called killers since they have not killed someone. Thus it is not wise to call Islam a sick religion and culture due to their history.
How about calling it a sick religion and culture not due to it's history but it's actions now, today?
The religion has a war history and the religion stands on the bases of war and it is continuing in this present century and what they really want is to take the world a century back so that they could control everyone in the name of religion.

The story of Islam starts with the prophet Muhammad. However, Islam rose in a certain historical and geographical context. We all know that prophet Mohammed has led a raid against a Meccan caravan. And he conquered almost half of western Arabia and southern Palentine thorugh a dozen separate invasions and bloody conquest. So  this conquest was in part "Holy Wars" already. Even after his death, they lauched Islam into 1,500 years of continual imperialist, colonialist, bloody conquest and subjugation of others through invasion and war, a role Islam continues to this very day. So historically, Islam has been waging war since its inception.
11457  Economy / Speculation / Re: What keeps Bitcoin price stable? on: March 16, 2017, 06:22:18 AM
Price rising =  rumours + good news
Price going down =  bad news + panic selling + whales cashing out

But what factors keep Bitcoin price stable?

it is not just that, the price also moves based on supply and demand, and when demand changes the price changes with it. and all that news,.. you are saying are directly affecting the demand. for example a good news brings in more people and increases the demand.
also there is always an increasing amount of demand because bitcoin is still being adopted by new people.

Exactly Assuming a increased demand, the Bitcoin price gradually increases over the long-term. And when the usage of bitcoin is increasing, like being adopted by a lot of people globally, bitcoin price raise as well. Like what happened to the ETF decision, a lot of investors/speculators went on board with bitcoin increasing the demand that why we see a ATH price on bitcoin. So  demand (and supply) for bitcoin is driven also by investors’ speculative
behaviour. So bitcoin prices is more stable right now and the price will increase in the future if there is more demand.

Neither SegWit Nor Bitcoin Unlimited Can Solve Bitcoin’s Scalability Problems: Experts

Despite all the exploits of Bitcoin especially in recent months, which has seen its price conquer new highs and its user base increase significantly, one major problem that has persisted upon the cryptocurrency is congestion.

The issue of congestion within the Bitcoin community has persisted for some time now. The debate on how best to resolve this issue has seen the community split majorly into two factions, a scenario which can be judged as proof that the power truly lies with the people in the decentralized democratic environment of Bitcoin.

Emiel Sebastiaan van der Hoek, Blockchain Researcher, says:

“The community is split for good reason. Neither solution will solve scalability issues and transaction fee issues of Bitcoin in my honest opinion.”

How Are Bitcoin Exchanges Capable of Faking Trading Volume?

Generating a lot of fake transactions as an exchange sounds like an easy feat, but that is not necessarily the case. To be more precise, it depends on how these platforms would go about doing such a thing. In most cases, people look at the bitcoin trading volume to determine whether or not they should buy or sell cryptocurrency. If exchanges successfully skew the numbers, there is a lot of volatility to be found in the bitcoin market.

So far, three possible ways to fake exchange volume have been uncovered. The first option is by just releasing a fake number of bitcoin transactions taking place in the past 24 hours. This is by far the easiest way to trick people into thinking there is a lot of bitcoin trading action going on, even though that is far from the case. Since most Chinese exchanges release their transaction numbers 24 hours later, it is very easy to fake volume after all.

11460  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price is the Moon landing? on: March 15, 2017, 02:00:47 PM
With all this talk of Bitcoin going to the moon, i was wondering what people think will be the moon landing price?  I think at $10,000 we have landed.  Need to get my moon boots ready.  Grin

Well personally I'd say that this year, $1,500 before the end of the year is quite realistic. I wouldn't talk about a price that is above $10,000 any time soon yet as there is no signs that bitcoin will go that mainstream in such a short period of time.

However, after that ETF disappointment the price didn't drop at all and in fact increased, which makes me optimistic about things. If everything goes well this year, $2,500 would be possible. Even $3,000 which would put the market cap over 50 billion dollars.

Remember how the bitcoin bears said that the ATH would never be achieved again at the 2013 ATH. Well here you go - the ATH has been broken and every day we are setting more and more records.

I think $1500-$2000 is possible at the end of this year. We are already past the hype on the ETF approval and no effect to the price as well. On the contrary, in put bitcoin in the notice to many speculators and probably thinking investment on bitcoin. So is safe to say that the future is really looking very good for bitcoin and hope to get $2000 or more at the end of the year. And 2017 will potentially the biggest year in bitcoin history if ever.
