I don't think we will see big price jump. The amount might be fond stable. The price of bitcoin may go upto 420$ not than that. There is also a possibility to rise very high as the US election is approaching

Online shopping
Online Remittances
Converting it to fiat
Gambling
Trading
And above all now I don't need to use my credit cards for online shopping and don't have to visit banks or WU for online remittances.

Bitcoin is connected to black market and others things heavy,that fiat were connected and still but people think they created those coin and is a ponzi thing to steal your money,besides those we may say the oldest people doesnt know work with technology soo they avoid it.The others well they dont wanna to search or know about bitcoin ,as they dont believe on it ,soo lets say that are several reasons to dont use bitcoin but is when you dont care about what may happen tomorrow for me is the same.Bitcoin has bringeg huge investors into it ,the fact it has already 7 years and a value of 400 dollars for 1 btc should make people start to search about it atleast.
I don't believe that is entirely the reason for people to not use bitcoin but it maybe a part, people who are outsiders to the bitcoin world read news and every now and then there are bad news associated with bitcoin, which includes scams or thefts, like the recent Cryptsy one and that puts them a little on the back foot. One thing is very curious about those news,with fiat nothing bad happens,wars are financed by fiat being dollars or other currency,and now bitcoin with huge potencial is being connected to just the darkeness side of the life,i believe really that this all news against bitcoin is from competitors ,trying to stop bitcoin adoption that will happen soon or later,its too late to kill bitcoin. You right. No one is talking too much about fiat being used by bad ppl to do bad things. Its about power only. Fiat is controlled by government and banks, so why would they endorse spreading news that their fiat money are used illegal things. Bitcoin is out of their control and thretens their power over money, thus they want to spread more propaganda about how Bitcoin is responsible for all bad things happening. This is a reason why people are much interested to enter bitcoin. another factor is there is none to explain about the various factors running behind the technology. people just see the outer structure and concludes. Also its difficult to explain to such people. Only they'll understand if they enter into the community |

It seems like another discussion about how to be anonymous to use bitcoin. As long as you can get online using a random network (like hacking into a WEP wifi network), and you use a device that is obtained without needing your ID (like "borrowing" from a stranger?), then you can be anonymous.
But then, how are you going to change your coin back to fiat is the other issue....
buying from a user and using will surely make some issues. To my knowledge most of the people don't try to get into such stuffs. Eventhough if something is borrowed from a stranger without proper id one can be easily tracked with these days technologies. Blankly we can't say that money laundering not possible. There might be people who has involved in it. |

yeah, and my favorite thing is gamble. gamble is illegal for in our country. so we can play easily gamble with bitcoin. our government cant find out. who are the gambling here and where are they from gambling. so it is too much supporting for gamble. It's gonna be February in a few hours, let's hope this month we would see the block size issue reach a conclusion and finally see the price gain momentum towards the halving.
it won't happen this month. i think it will take at least 6 months to a year to see an agreement about the block size issue. till that time the community keeps staying in doubt and the bitcoin alternatives keep popping up. Even after 6 years I don't think that it would happen. The basic reason is everything has some specific value, if the price goes that high the existence of fiat money to gets increased which may lead a situation to end up all decentralized currencies. |

Well banks are used because most of the don't have access, or care about, any other monetary system. They all utilize fiat, and the primary storage system for fiat money is banks. They won't be using a Bitcoin wallet if they have no Bitcoin, in the same way we won't use a bank to store our Bitcoin because we have Bitcoin wallets.
