Its ESP.conf.

You have to change the syntax of the node list below.
It has to be like the list that pallas posted:

addnode *IP*
addnode *IP2*
...

Alternatively, you can open the console in the Espers Client and add the nodes manually with the following command:
addnode *IP* add

EDIT: tried both, but still no active connexion

Added all nodes but the client still can't connect.  Embarrassed

Edit: Nevermind, its working now.
The update function is still not working (Connection timed out).

What do you people think of the Espers price in the (far away) future?
When wil it become interesting to trade against BTC instead of LTC?

This is really hard to predict. When we would knew this, trading would be so much easier  Cheesy
In my opinion, active developer and community are the most important part.
Long time ago, I had lots of QuBit coins and it was very promising that time.
Then the developer suddenly disappeared, the community lost the interest and the coin died.

But on this coin, I have a very good feeling as the developers are very active and engaged.
With the help of the community, the important steps for increasing the coins value would be:

  • Add novel features that are interesting for the mass
=> The encrypted message system looks promising.
The feature has to be very easily to use, require low usage requirements (no software installation, but e.g web interface?), adapted or combined to already spread applications (e.g E-Mails)
  • Give the coin a practical use and purpose.
This could be achieved by implementing payment methods in (web-)shops so that you can actually do something with this coin.
The only purpose of most coins is just mining them and then dumping for BTC.
As for now, I see ESP also on that level (mining->dumping). But I see good chances to get above this level.
Some shop already showed interest on supporting this coin for payments, according to CryptoCoderz.
  • Spread the coin on more popular exchanges.
This will be achieved automatically when realizing the previous steps but we can speed up the progress a little bit.
Though, Novaexchange and Cryptopia are not that bad, these exchanges are not that well known and the trading volume is pretty low.
We should try to get on exchanges like Bter, C-CEX or Poloniex. The ultimate goal would be to hit BTC-E.

So you have to make up your own opinion on how well the chances are to achieve the important objectives.
Looking back at the progress since the coin release a few months ago, I have a good feeling that this coin will have some success.
I hope that we will get on a level (not coin value, but impact and circulation) like Feathercoin or Monero.

Regards

This is just normal experience when staking, it means you got some orphaned blocks, someone was able to grab that block and complete the staking before you.

Thanks for the help bitwarrior

Thanks for clarification. So this is a normal behavior I don't have to worry about?
So I will see pretty much of this failed transactions but a few of them will be confirmed in case I grabbed the block first?
1178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: September 12, 2016, 07:35:27 AM
IMHO, Novaexchange should get something in return for the great service.
So its ok for me that they participate to the PoS.

Regarding PoS, I have a question:
In my wallet, I see 2 transactions of the type "mined".
I think that this has to be the PoS reward as I don't PoW mine into that wallet directly.
One transaction is now over 6h old but on status "Generated but not accepted" / "Conflicted".
The other transaction is 20 min old and also on status "Conflicted".

Whats wrong here? Is this normal or is something not properly configured?  Huh

i didnt test under linux because i didn't want to scratch my rig for test

like i always said ...
just a handfull of people have access to wolf0 sgminer opti (maybe 3, 4, 5 or 6 people use it)
FOR MONTHS

Well we could try to debug that miner together if you want to.
The error -63 comes from OpenCL function clEnqueueNDRangeKernel and is translated as CL_INVALID_GLOBAL_WORK_SIZE.
The first attempt would be to set another work size in the sgminer.conf file.
I think it should work by adding
"worksize":16
in the config file. Then you may try some numbers (even "1").

Another approach would be to compare the original sgminer with wolfs miner and understand why the original miner doesn't throw error -63.

Do the included .bin files in wolf's miner not work?
You may try the following steps:
1) Start the miner and enter all data for your pool
2) Let the miner create the .bin file and crash with error -63
3) Look for the .bin file, remember its filename and change the filename "espw64-wolf-esp-Tahiti-64.bin" to the one the miner has created
4) Start the miner again, enter all data
5) Hopefully profit?  Cheesy

already done 2 months ago

errror -63 error just happens via the renaming
otherwise nothing happens

BECAUSE THESE .BIN ARE NOT WORKING FOR WINDOWS
It's that simple

DO YOU HAVE .BIN WORKING FOR WINDOWS PLEASE ?!
OR MAYBE YOU ARE UNDER LINUX AND YOU TROLL LIKE PALLAS
Calm down mate, I'm just trying to help you  Smiley
As you may already read on one of my previous answers, I'm an even poorer NVidia user who has to deal with some crappy 100 kH/s.

That's because I don't have a .bin for the AMD GPUs.
I could you only give one for the GTX960 (working with Win), but that won't help you.

Do you have some software developing skills? Then you could debug wolf's miner with Visual Studio 2013.
I'll currently installing VS2013 and I'll have a look at it. But as I don't have an AMD GPU, it would be very hard for me to track down the error.

Another idea - What's happening when you start the miner and let it create a .bin file?
Did you also copy the folder "kernel" to the miner? And on the "Algorithm" question you have to enter hmq1725.

Let me know if this works.
