1161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Know when to buy and hold on: January 14, 2022, 10:07:31 AM
I don't know about you but for me I will only hold coins for long term if we see a unforgiving bear market ( better buying opportunity ), I believe bear market hold the key to long term holding, I can't buy coins at high price sorry ( present market is buying at high price) and decide to hold for years, I will only buy now to sell later ( short term ).. stupid idea? Let's hear your thoughts

Your idea is not a stupid one, this is the thinking of many both here and outside this place but the problem is how to find out what the market is thinking at every point. If we can get that it will be almost accurate making money from buying and selling any tokens we have.

Beginner traders either lose money or make less profit than when they hold their coins.

You are referring to holding bitcoin. Because I know holding other coins for long apart from bitcoin does not guarantee they will not turn worthless. Sometimes the coins even vanish from the market without a trace. But bitcoin is profitable and better to hold.

Accepted. Let me know if you can do enough post in English board. Wear signature and Avatar asap.

we have still open slots for Hero/Legendary

Why not open up the slots to lower ranks if it is taking a long time to fill it up with Hero/Legendary members. There are still enough quality posters in the senior and full member ranks.
1165  Economy / Services / Re: ⬛Brainboss Management Service⬛[Signature, ANN, Bounty, Telegram Moderation, AMA] on: January 13, 2022, 05:21:22 AM

Brainboss is a highly dedicated manager who manages bounties with the same zeal as he manages bitcoin paying campaigns. He is easy to reach and quick in resolving hunters difficulties. I recommend him.

1167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump Says Crypto Is 'Very Dangerous' ... but ... on: January 10, 2022, 12:35:19 AM

Whether Donald Trump calls crypto dangerous or not I see his comment as a positive publicity for crypto because his speech will help get more clicks for that news article and generate alot of awareness for crypto. Whether people believe him or not is another debate. Am not even thinking twice about his position on the matter because I know he is derailing himself.
1168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what you worst experience on crypto on: January 09, 2022, 06:13:59 AM
My worst experience was Not exit at the correct time. there was a ICO it gave me 10X.  (6500USD) but i did not exit at the correct time so it went for 400usd.

This is a common experience with everyone here I believe so. And it hurts when that happens. Losing your profit because of greed of not taking profit at the right time is something that every trader and investor will continue to experience. This is my worse mistake so far if that will count as one. I have been lucky so far on other bad sides.
1169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can SHIB rise to 0.1? on: January 09, 2022, 06:00:12 AM

So far I haven't seen any new program or new plans from the Shiba Inu, so it's still less likely to be at $0.1 in another two years, because the Shiba Inu is not a coin that has a clear use case so it's hard to surpass Bitcoin volumes over a period of a long time, moreover Bitcoin often has a large volume in cryptocurrency

You think because it has no new programs and in your judgement that it has no clear use will prevent it from getting there. What new programs did Dogecoin have that made it pumped that hard in 2021 after so many years of existence? Is Dogecoin not also a meme coin like Shiba? I know what you are calculating and basing your judgement on is the market volume of bitcoin to condemn Shiba price rise but you forget that Shiba can decide to burn its supply and reduce circulation and price will hit the moon.
1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we sell all crypto now? on: January 08, 2022, 05:26:13 PM

Those who panic and cry whenever price dumps should not be trading in cryptocurrency at all. This people forget that the way price goes up should also be the way it will go down. Do not expect only good things in cryptocurrency. OP you are the only person that can answer your own question well. As for me, am not selling. Am holding and will only sell when price goes up back.
1171  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think Doctors lie? on: January 08, 2022, 05:07:03 PM
I don't think Doctors lie. They're supposed to follow the hippocratic oath but now that is being "rethought" and no longer required like everything else that is solid is now like a thin sheet of ice...

https://www.statnews.com/2016/09/21/hippocratic-oath-medical-students-doctors/

I see doctors as hypocrites who do not do what they say. They say they are all for saving lives and not for the money but they do otherwise not minding the oath. Without money deposited most doctors will not attend to  patients. Again, doctors lie because they are humans and it is in humans to lie. Pastors and priests also lie. It is not just doctors alone.
1172  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't ever quit your job to trade crypto. on: January 07, 2022, 09:26:36 PM

Am sure everyone wants an easy life, providing food and money for the family by the job we do. It is hard already for those who have jobs to keep them afloat through salaries and wages they earn. Now think of what the situation will be with those who do not have a regular paid jobs at hand. I will not advise anyone to quit their job and go into trading cryptos which is often a complicated industry. If you have a secured paying job, keep it and never risk quitting it for cryptos.
1173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in new projects? on: January 07, 2022, 06:02:52 PM
Investing in new projects could be a great source of income especially when the projects have good utility. But the issue with new projects is that there's no guarantee that the project would do well and as such they possess a higher level of risk as compared to the existing projects.

I avoid new projects because of the risk issue you mentioned. Why will anyone want to throw away their money by gambling with a new project. That is what it is investing in such projects because no one knows where the new project is heading to. Am sure most times the owners of the projects do not get the results they are expecting and that will affect the growth and success of the project. It is a hard job starting a new project. I like a project that has gained enough ground and patronage that can guarantee my investment in it.
1174  Other / Off-topic / Re: New year resolutions on: January 07, 2022, 04:54:29 PM
Thank you Maestro75, it is being executed already. I try to stay away from the "politics and society" board, as I find it to be an idiot magnet, and personally I just avoid stupid people like the plague.

I like to visit that board you mentioned and I have come to note that we have retards in other boards too. That bad character is not limited to Politics and Society board alone. I do not need to avoid any section of the forum because of some peoples ill character. What i do is never to respond to their posts. Just ignore them completely.
1175  Other / Off-topic / Re: New year resolutions on: January 06, 2022, 06:42:13 PM
Two things actually:

1. Get a job, or another way to honestly support myself (crypto maybe?).
2. Make a conscious effort to distance myself from stupid people. I keep getting upset for things I can't fix, and I'm gonna end up getting another stroke, and I can't afford that.

Your second resolution is necessary and it should be promptly executed to avoid a calamity happening to you. Please take care of yourself above all things. I hate being around stupid people too. They make you go insane.
1176  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Teachers deserve more on: January 06, 2022, 06:37:25 PM
This example gives me a flashback of my maths classes too where we were often asked to find variables. Those variables are mostly "x" and "y". How funny it does not make sense as after school I still can not find them. I know some people will say that those variables of x and y are monetary representations in real life.

Am not still able to find it in real life except on diagrams like what you have there. In school that was a boring aspect of my learning.
1177  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Teachers deserve more on: January 06, 2022, 05:36:39 PM
EG instead of learning trig' by doing the paper math of a2+b2=c2 is not helpful for life skills. but putting it into practice of knowing that if you walk south down a road 200metres and then east along a road 200metres or you wanted to take a diagonal short cut through a park, how many metres, how much time can you save in your walk.

at school many decades ago. i never really 'soaked in' trig', because i was taught the 'math' using boring 'heres some numbers. heres the formulae. no explanation why the 2 is needed. just tell me answers'. so i never needed to bother to remember the formulae or why it works, as the formulae was just there on paper right infront of me. so no need to think about it.

it wasnt until i used it practically using real life scenarios, that it made sense to actually remember the formulae a2+b2=c2

This example gives me a flashback of my maths classes too where we were often asked to find variables. Those variables are mostly "x" and "y". How funny it does not make sense as after school I still can not find them. I know some people will say that those variables of x and y are monetary representations in real life.
1178  Other / Politics & Society / Re: EndSARs: The movement for police reformed as a result of police brutality in NiG on: January 06, 2022, 05:22:03 PM
I think you should rephrase your statement. "Best event" doesn't sit well with me not when you have been a victim of the horrors of SARS. It's makes my inside rumble think of the trouble we went through

It is the same way I feel. A hate to remember that evil event talkless of someone mentioning it as best event. But maybe he meant best in the form that it was properly coordinated by the youths even though no particular person coordinated it. More than a year after the massacre our irresponsible leaders are still acting worse than before. Nothing changed.

Welcome back to the forum. I read about your unban issue. It is good to have you back.
1179  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is religion necessary for humans? on: January 04, 2022, 09:09:08 AM
Religion is necessary for humans because in our faith we learnt that we are created to worship God, the purpose of our existence is to worship God that is why I said religion is important to human.

You got it wrong here thinking that religion is all about the worship of God. There are some religions that do not believe in God. They worship idols but are still religious. Have you not heard about traditional religions? Do those ones also believe in God while they worship carved images of stones, irons and woods? What is necessary for humans is godliness and not religion.
1180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can SHIB rise to 0.1? on: January 04, 2022, 08:41:45 AM

It is possible that Shiba can get to $0.1 but it will take time and may not happen in 2022. All it has to do to achieve it is to move closer to the decimal point by taking out the 4 zeros before the number. The reason why alot of posters argue that it is not possible is because if that happens the market cap for Shiba will be bigger than bitcoin and they think that is not going to happen. People should look beyond that and see what new programs Shiba is engaging in that can cause its price to go up and not just believing that no matter what its cap will continue to stay under bitcoin.
