Showing interest is enough to be a 'Free loader' on NEX. FC's words, not mine. Yes, if the reservation numbers are accurate, then 70 BTC is likely the cost for developing the coin.
The actual distribution of the coin between VisaCoin, NEX, Free loaders and Developers have yet to be determined, but that will be known prior to any exchange.

Considering that Ethereum is getting more and more popular... I believe the investment cap of 30000 BTC should be killed.
30000 BTC is a lot of crypto anyway... if the IPO were to reach those levels... who cares if it goes even higher?
The cap should be taken away so the little guy can get in. 30,000 will be hit in 10 min!!! |

First thing to do would be to discourage people from mining this "joke coin" that has higher network hashrate than litecoin. Second thing to do would be to stop people from joining http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/ where all new members are welcomed without any judgement and showered with tips in dogecoins. I agree. We need to start a campaign to discourage people from mining this "joke" coin. It is the only way for Litecoin to regain the hashing power that it has lost to this "joke" coin. Also, you're right, we have to somehow block people from joining that Reddit "joke-coin" forum. I mean WTF, should people really be welcomed into cryptocurrency? I think not. They should instead endure the hazing that all crypto-nerds endured when they initially entered into the BTC world. All new entrants must be ridiculed, bullied and scammed!! This is why I encourage anyone who's interested in learning about crypto to come to this website and not the Reddit sub. This site has the needed venom to make or break these wanna-be crypto-nerds. If they can't handle the fire then they don't belong in crypto. I think that this is the best way to get the masses to adopt crypto --- we need more abusive language, name callings and just plain old nastiness. So yes, I suggest we band together and stop people from joining the "joke-coin" sub-Reddit. Who's with me? I love it!! Thanks for pointing that out!! This is exactly what it is like too!! It's so funny that people forget that they were new not too long ago!! It's amazing how history keeps repeating itself. I guess I was naive to think things would be different in Bitcoins case. It's so sad!! Bitcoin would be 5 to 20 times it's price if they simply took a lesson for the "joke" coin instead of doing what has always been done. Learn from it. The face that this joke coin is where it is should make them take notice. But they are currently going in the opposite direction!! Have they used bitshares to buy it on the short or something. Anyone that supports bit-fascism/authoritarianism, meaning Bitcoin as the only dominant, official currency, can't be trusted as far as you can throw them. Centralization of power created in that manner is no different than the system we already have now. What happens if Bitcoin is the only currency and the govt takes it over? They can appoint Ben Bernanke to lead it, force new, fork updates to inflate the number to Dogecoin levels, redirect transaction fees to be sent straight to the IRS wallet, etc.
Bitcoin as the only currency has the potential to be a more Orwellian nightmare than the economic system we have now. There has to be lots of competitors to have a free market, to prevent government from monopolizing it.
Beware of the current Bitcoin devs/Satoshi wannabes. Their outward hostility to any coin besides Bitcoin truly shows they are either completely corrupt, or oblivious to the point I make in the paragraph above. They cannot be trusted for this reason.
This describes them perfectly. Because how they are acting is why you actually hear people talking about staying away from bitcoin alittle. They truly represent a lot of them, and this would indicate that they will affect the price overall. Because it is actually too centralized in a way, and as usual when a too few people have too much power history repeats itself. The reason bitcoin made it is the reason it may fail, if we don't expose these tyrants for who they are. |
