unbelievable I bought a share like 2 weeks ago and the IPO funding is already done brilliant!!!!! Shocked

I have suggested this in the nxt forum aswell, actually thats how I found out about NEM. Is it possible to make a raspberry PI, userfriendly Node / forging system? Something like Minepeon for BTC? The current way to run NXT forging over a PI took me way too long Sad

I would be more than willing to contribute to a bounty for that.

would be really nice to use the gfx from ournem for the fb page as related to corporate design. already pm'd utopianfuture, so lets see wahts his estimation. as is said, when its done - fb link will income Wink

i think "NEM" itself is not bad as it now means something more, bigger than a coin.
NEM hasn't that prob" as some unmentionable cryptos.

I wish I was a programmer and could help with the code. With so many new coins coming, and NXT clones (which this one is not) the sooner NEM comes out the better. With some of the money raised the coders should get an assistant that could take care of the food, and other necessities. That way they can better focus on the coding.

The problem is being a programmer isn't necessarily enough. You have to have a working understanding of how bitcoin actually works to build something is supposed to be following it. Bitcoin looks easy if you look at it from a users perspective but the protocoll is very complex and it can take days before you can get your first successfull transaction out with your own code.

I'm a programmer (which doesn't tell you anything about my skill level just that I get payed by a company to do it Smiley) but I just don't have the necessary level of understanding of the whole blockchain technology to contribute to NEM.

I always liked it too. It is futuristic and make me want to know what it is. If I would encounter that logo on the internet occasionally, I would be interested to find out what is is.

yeah, i also think its a good way to get more people on the nem train Smiley

We wouldn't be the first crypto on FB. CGB has 15k likes on FB but is only around 40th on marketcap.com so Fb might get you likes but I doubt the actual affect on the currency or movement would be very noticeable.

What do we stand for

I have been thinking a lot about NEM recently, I admit I was lured by the promise of a million coin to join NEM, who wasnt  Smiley . UP you would make an expert fisherman  ; Smiley you hooked us with great skill.  After the end of the fundraising I half expected never to hear from Utopian Future again ( I am a born skeptic) but the guy was stupid enough not to run  Grin and came back and posted this great website www.ournem.com . It felt strange to me, maybe because its not everyday one gets to see a person trying to keep his word.  

I have no illusions, Nem could fail and fail miserably. We are like donkeys in a derby race pitched against thoroughbred bitcoin and NXT studs. But, does it really matter? Bitcoin could have been great, it could have made the world a better place, but, as always, the big boys took over. Here, I see a core group genuinely trying to do good, its our second chance to get it right. Its our chance to succeed where bitcoin failed.

Fellow stakeholders, we all could be part of something special. This is our opportunity to help ourselves and should we succeed, to do our bit for humanity. Does it really matter if we fail? We would have atleast tried and not just watched.

In my opinion the NEM logo should be as simple as possible.

Due to the fact that Bitcoin started it all, I suggest to use just something like this:
