0.1 btc was too much? And 6 x 1070 is cheap?

Can you see your router stats? It could be cpu limited depending on your setup.

Decred survided the Claymore miner, and so will the SIA.
Yep, https://dcrstats.com/. Claymore´s first post with dualminer was april 11. Try to switch to BTC mode there and see the BTC/DCR chart instead... Haha, nice one! Though I am not so much interested in btc/dcr, I am playing these games with fiat.

The 390 g1 gaming comes with a 6 pin and a 8 pin connector.
6pin= 75Watt 8pin= 150Watt Motherboard 66 watt
MAX power is 291 watt, but the wall readings is abit higher. (Powered usb risers)
there is nothing stopping the card to draw more than those "max" values. only thing that matters is power meter at the wall plug. yes in fact in that cse some of those thing, will simply melt away and, again, pure Mh/s don't matter: it's efficiency that matters (Mh/s)/W, unless you run on free power. yeah also 300w for 40MH is not that impressive actually, because 6 x 970 can do the same, 120MH at 900w(6 x 140w + system) and without any tweaking just PL limited to 60%, like i've done in my case if we were to ignore the consumption we would still use monsters like 7990 or 290x2(this can do 51MH) I don't know about you guys but for me it is profit that matters. Most of the time some powersaving brings you more profits but not always. Best hash/ watt and I am loosing profits everyday with every card I have. When reading these watt/hash threads this starts to look like some loudest whisper contest. Like the_ultimate_mining_GPU would consume zero watts and hash 2Mh/s eth. Or like winner of GP race was that guy who had most fuel left after race. Really, do your math. Many of you are loosing profits. I am still happily running some 295x2. Like every hawaii they do at least 34MH/ core without mods. If I ask they deliver, currently I am not asking so much.

@Claymore
Hey, played around with it. -gser 2 did not make a difference, but if I removed SIA minning and it works. Is there anyway to make both work?
On eth it is running no problems.
Thanks -Art
I already told you all my thoughts. @Claymore EDIT: Got it to work with lower SIA mining intensity. My guess is the cards wanted more power than the 2 x 8-pin connectors can provide mining both. Thanks for the help, keep up that hard work. You really need to have separate cables from psu to those 8-pin connectors if you are pushing that card. Otherwise you end up with melted connectors.

Anyway to add worker name to Claymore? Seems to work with GOminer
"address=YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS&worker=YOUR_WORKER_NAME&email=YOUR_EMAIL" -edit- copypaste from nanopool help

It crashes at DAG creation. Usually due to overclocking or weak PSU. Also try "-gser 2" option if you have several cards like in your log.

Thanks -Art Just started first tests with eth+sia miner, no problems with my 2x295 rig. Single 295x2 47MH eth + 1.4GH sc, 445 watts from the wall. Testing continues...

the problem with sia is that it has no pool, so unless you have 10 rig, it's pointless to mine, diff is too high at the moment, for a little farm

Blake, blake2s and decred numbers are wrong on zpool. You need to remove 3 zeroes from the hashrate in the config file. *** values in mBTC/Mh/day (mBTC/Gh/day for sha256, decred and blake algos) Ok, so it wasn't just me. Did some triple calculations and still couldn't match... THHANKS FOR THE CORRECTION!!! -- I will edit the file. Thanks again. --scryptr f2129028097fbed24eb542a87c1c26adb5cce5e8bb3f0fe2be7e4b6bcc86bdaa :-)

That all problem is because of 6 pin, why didn't they simply put 8 pin and voila? RX 480 had to compete with gtx 1070, so if 1070 has 8 pin then why 480 doesn't?
Everyone and amd thought they have a killer gpu. Then there was 1070.

here is a set of photos with me trying sapphire trixx on an r9 390
1 r9 390 and the rig pulls 216 watts the rig drops to 32-34 watts once I turn the mining off so 182-184 is for mining
I am impressed with sapphire trixx
I am doing a -163mv undervolt
tiny gpu overclock 1023 vs stock 1015
memory 1000MHz which reads as 4000MHz
fan at 40%
gpu temps are 61c and vrm = 73c
quiet pulling 25.9 hash rate
i thought this was a 480 thread? anyeays ive never seen an undervolt that low hard to belive thats stable Feel free to throw your money to new gpus. Just trying to help fellow mners.

480 needs new bios. That is something windows update doesn't offer so they need to offer software fix.
480 needs to be replaced with a proper 8 pin model asap, new bios will not solve design flaw. Bios could solve it but not within specs. Software fix will downclock it. For me this looks like they were desperate. Bring in the 1060.

They made a statement that they will "fix" 480 power issues via software (w/o details).
It can not be done by software at all, only was is to lower the clock and voltage, all the rest is lies from them, also to implement more robust and enforced TDP limits which also gona lower clock and voltage wow. What a bold statement. Sounds like you think the way the driver controls the card is so dumb that they can't change anything but the settings users can change already. Yes the drivers or even the bios can not fix VRM issue with one 6pin connector and bad ASIC and GPU which is not meant to work at the clock they released them! Its simple as that, AMD can only lie, do a driver tweak to lower the performance/clock/voltage! or they can wait for better 14nm process so new 480 use less power Even though the 6 pin connector is rated at 75W, quality ones can work up to 150 W without any problem. 150w rated 8-pin connector without external cooling starts melting somewhere in 450w area. During winter I did run coolers for my cables. 6-pin baby is also easy to burn, I just can't remember wattage. 480 needs new bios.

295x2 hashing 54Mh, 330w from the wall, default bios. Powered by corsair rm1000, psu fan doesn't spin... nice which model? http://www.anandtech.com/show/7930/the-amd-radeon-r9-295x2-reviewwater pump like the one above? All 295x2 are "reference" with that AIO cooler, mine is XFX branded. Hawaii can be a monster or a power saver... -edit- starts throttling at 75

Amd marketing department told us that 2 x 480 is faster and cheaper than one gtx 1080. Well it is not going to be so long gaming session with crossfired 480...

Well it blew my motherboard. Returning them!!
What part did it blow up? How was it connected? When I came home, no fans on the card, no video, no boot. I had 3 cards hooked up with non powered risers. Sending them back and I'll wait for an 8 pin version. There are scorch marks on the main power to the motherboard. How does your atx-connector look like?

Anyone dual mining with 6 x 480 rig? How many watts from the wall? Hot cables?
Im running 5x 480s cables are not hot at all 50% fans on all the cards with a custom profile 71 degree temps 26mhs eth and 531 dcr for all 5 cards im seeing 4 amps at 240v or so including the cpu and ram. looks to be around 170 watts per card for dual mining Hmm that's not bad at all. How are you feeding your risers?
