great initiative Chase to promote 2 year DNotes and services, i just tell some friends, hope they be linked to DNotes CRISP plans

Happy Birthday DNotes! and DNotes family !!

like someone says just a bunch of normal people doing amazing things !!

That sounds great, infovortice2013 - we are just  "a bunch of normal people doing amazing things" !!

Happy 2nd Birthday DNotes!!!

Quite an accomplishment in two years. Now that we have a solid foundation, where do you think DNotes will be in two years? That is the question smart investors should be asking.

Quote from the book, "As we continue to strive for a better life, at times in frustration and a feeling of helplessness, let us agree on one simple truth: where you are right now is of less consequence than where you are going from here. There is little that can be done to regain missed opportunities or retroactively correct the mistakes made in the past.

What difference A Year Can Make?

Tomorrow, February 18, 2016 will be the 2nd Birthday of DNotes. It is also a full year when CRISP For Retirement was launched. The news clipping below was the shortest one I found and thought that it is a fitting reminder of our ways of helping “someone else” to provide some “relief for underfunded retirement accounts”

If you check out:  http://dnotesvault.com/crisp-for-retirement.php

Below is the latest data:

Not bad for participation, for those who are with us for the long-term.

CRISP for Retirement Statistics
Funded Retirement Accounts   252
Principal Deposit Value   79,073.21 USD
Total Interest Payments   383,780 NOTE
Current USD Value   43,487.78 USD
Current DNotes   6,344,372 NOTE
Retirement Fund Bonus Balance   616,220 NOTE

So what difference a year can make?

A lot. The value of DNotes had fallen by more than 75% from its high of $1.6 million at one point but has recently recovered a little. Frankly, that was our biggest surprise of the year. It is a case of supply and demand. Obviously, a lot more people were selling than buying DNotes. That is how the forces of free market work.

The good news is that we never missed a beat. CryptoMoms’ traffic has been climbing to over 100 visitors a day with rapidly increasing number of registered members of 17564 at the time of this post. Both CryptoMoms’ and DNotes Bitcointalk forums have been well supported by our communities with a lot of educational and helpful posts. We have since launched CRISP For Students, and CRISP For Employee Incentive Benefits. Additionally, we have launched our own news site, DCEBrief flawlessly. DCEBrief is gaining great respect from our industry. The most amazing of all is that a book titled “Improve Your Odds – The Four Pillars of Business Success” is now close to completion, to be published in two months. The book will be a revenue generator for the new company, with DNotes owning up to 25%. We are lean and agile; allow us to accomplish a lot with very little. Now, imagine what we can do if the book becomes a big hit, which I believe has a high probability. PM me with your email, if you are interested to read the Introduction and Chapter One.  Wow! What a difference a year can make!

Cryptocurrency DNotes Debuts Retirement Savings Plan

Massimo Leung February 18, 2015

Cryptocurrency DNotes has launched a new savings plan to provide relief for underfunded individual retirement accounts.

According to DNotes Co-Founder Alan Yong, one million DNotes have been donated to Cryptocurrency Investment Savings Plan (CRISP) for Retirement to encourage savers to supplement their underfunded individual retirement accounts. Yong noted that individuals who commit to DNotes deposits of 5, 10, 15, or 20 years duration will receive a 100 percent deposit guarantee, and up to 12 percent yearly interest bonus on their deposit with 1 million DNotes limit on the bonus interest offered.

Yong went on to explain that not everyone has the means or ability to save for retirement, resulting in many reaching retirement age with social security as their only source of income.
RJF, Director of CR.I.S.P. for Retirement, also commented:

In these uncertain financial times, it is becoming more and more difficult to maintain a retirement account that will actually see you through your golden years. We believe that the concept of using DNotes to augment your retirement savings is an important consideration.

RJF went on to explain that CR.I.S.P. for Retirement is an unstructured and self-directed plan, using DNotes as the investment vehicle to supplement retirement savings, and re-occurring savings, in any amount, may be added at any time. The savings plan can apparently be started with any amount of DNotes by opening an account at DNotesVault with an expanded registration at CRISP for Retirement landing page.

CRISP is the brain-child of Chase, a core team member of CryptoMoms – a community with an avowed mission to encourage and assist women to participate in the cryptocurrency world currently dominated by men. CryptoMoms.com is a currency neutral site, offering content regarding cryptocurrency, which was created by and fully funded by the DNotes team.

Among the DNotes team’s various objectives, DNotesVault will be utilized to build the next generation of DNotes stakeholders using CRISP for kids and CRISP for students to be followed by other programs.

Yong stressed that,

"The beauty of DNotesVault is that we can setup and launch a new plan or program, such as a charity fund raising, as quickly as needed".

DNotes, DNotesVault, and CryptoMoms are all strategically linked.

DNotes has as a market cap of US$923,102 and 96,647,701 available supply.

In order to gain a better understanding why I became so passionate in writing a book for small business owners let us examine some hard facts:

According to the latest data from the U.S. Census Bureau:

There 6 million operating (active) businesses in the United States with the following employment breakdown:

3,791,000     4 or less employees
1,000,000     5 to 9 employees
600,000        19 to 19 employees
500,000        20 to 99 employees
90,000      100 to 499 employees
18,000      500 to 10,000 employees
1,000      10,000 or more employees

"America’s small businesses are the engines of job creation. Small businesses create seven of every ten new jobs and they employ just over half of the country’s private sector workforce. (SBA Office of Advocacy)"
Source: http://smallbusiness.house.gov/uploadedfiles/april_recess_small_biz_talking_pts.pdf

The U.S. Census Bureau reports that the total number of new business startups and business closures per year -- the birth and death rates of American companies -- have crossed for the first time since the measurement began. I am referring to employer businesses, those with one or more employees, the real engines of economic growth. Four hundred thousand new businesses are being born annually nationwide, while 470,000 per year are dying.”

Because we have misdiagnosed the cause and effect of economic growth, we have misdiagnosed the cause and effect of job creation. To get back on track, we need to quit pinning everything on innovation, and we need to start focusing on the almighty entrepreneurs and business builders. And that means we have to find them,” according to Jim Clifton is Chairman and CEO of Gallup. He is the author of The Coming Jobs Wa rand coauthor of Entrepreneurial StrengthsFinder

Improve Your Odds

The Four Pillars Of Business Success
[/b]

By Alan Yong

"As we continue to strive for a better life, at times in frustration and a feeling of helplessness, let us agree on one simple truth: where you are right now is of less consequence than where you are going from here. There is little that can be done to regain missed opportunities or retroactively correct the mistakes made in the past.

However, with an awareness of our shortcomings, willingness and commitment to change, we can learn from history and our past mistakes. We can also gain deep knowledge and wisdom from others, who have gone down the same path and beyond. This book honors those who have already achieved everything that they desire in life and in business, but specifically written for those whose aspirations remain just beyond their grasp.

We do not believe that long term business success is an accident or the result of good fortune. Those who have achieved great success, you and your employees must have done many things right and we deeply respect you for your accomplishment.

However, for those who have yet to achieve their objectives, including anyone whose business still has room for dramatic improvements, this book should prove thoughtful, insightful, and helpful. This is a book written specifically for startups, small business owners and their management teams (companies ranging in size from new startups to 500 employees), and can provide them with the help and guidance they need to gain the success for which they strive. If that sounds like you - if you’re passionate about what you are doing and desire nothing more than to obtain the type of business mastery that will help you be the true architect of your company’s success, then read on.

I trust that this book will also be helpful and inspirational to many employees since they are one of the key pillars of business success. Additionally, I have made a persuasive case to replace the much disliked traditional employee performance review with “Mutual Goals Review” that is significantly more rewarding and collaborative in promoting employees career advancement with a unified purpose well aligned in the fulfillment of the company’s goals, missions, and ultimate vision.

As some of you may know, I have been spending a great deal of time writing a book for entrepreneurs and their employees. The vast majority of small business owners are struggling today in the heels of mounting cost of doing business and increasing regulatory compliance burden. As a consequent, many employees have not see a pay raise for years but must stay on just to remain employed. The book is written with genuine intent to show how the employers and their employees can work together in mutual cooperation towards the attainment of common goals that are mutually beneficial to all parties.

There is a tie-in with a DNotes story. This is our next building block, introducing DNotes to small business owners and their employees, hence CRISP for Retirement, and CRISP For Employee Incentive Benefits. This is our pathway to DNotes mass acceptance. A very gentle “pull” marketing approach as opposed to the hard sell “push” marketing.

Here is an unedited quote from the book:

"Improve Your Odds

Why Four Pillars Of Business Success?

I grew up in a family of two girls and six boys on a 50 acre coconut plantation located in the northern tip of the Borneo Island, known as Kudat, in Sabah, East Malaysia. Typical of any farm community, we worked hard starting at a young age. We were poor but we were happy, contented, and never had a fight among the siblings. My mother was a team builder and got us started early to raise farm animals and produce for our pocket money. When we grew up, all of us had our own business at one time. The six boys still have their own business today.

I started my first business, a Chinese restaurant, forty years ago, and have seen success and failure. Each time I decided to embark on another venture, I had wished that I was ten years younger. On a second thought, it is not age but the wisdom of knowledge that would have made the difference for me. Since I can not be younger, it would be a great privilege and a great honor if this book can be a source of inspiration, as well as a source of knowledge and wisdom guiding you to early success in your business endeavors.

As a small business consultant for over ten years, it is no surprise, that there had been many suggestions for me to write a book one day. Unfortunately, writing is not my area of strengths and I do not like doing things that I am not passionate about. Hence, until recently I did not think much about it.

What I am passionate about is helping small business owners and those who are contemplating about starting their own business. I am blessed with the knowledge, experience, and strong conviction that it is possible to gain a very high probability of succeeding in business. If you are passionate about what you are doing, committed to learn all you can from this book, and willing to do what it takes to succeed, you have taken the right path and will go far. Although it is not a science that comes with absolute certainty, I strongly believe that you can dramatically improve your chances of succeeding in business, if your company can deliver a complete package across the board that is better than your competitors. You can absolutely improve your odds of success in business.

Essentially, the “success formula” or the theme of the book is about a relentless commitment to be better in every aspect, than your competitors, with an ultimate goal to be the best in class. It cannot be a wishful thinking in isolation, but a mindset originating from the top down to the lowest level. It is about the top leadership or the founder’s ability to inspire and empower followers throughout the organization, genuinely wanting everyone to have a successful career path and every customer to be delighted in doing business with your company.

That is an excellent idea, Chase. Saving for retirement has been increasing more challenging in recent years as wages remained stagnant for most people, in the face of low job growth and very high underemployment.

I am getting very close to completing the first draft of my book intended to be of help to small business owners and their employees. I will be sharing some of the concepts from the book during the course of this week.

Decentral has announced that they are launching 'Decentral Bitcoin Cards' that will be available for Canadians to buy at various retailers. Since getting the Bitcoin to buy the DNotes is the hardest step, this will be a big help for a lot of people. Note the "other select currency cards will be deployed by year end".

Toronto’s Decentral Launches Bitcoin Cards Nationwide

February 11, 2016 — TORONTO, ON, The Canadian-based crypto hub Decentral which focuses on decentralized technologies has just launched a new digital currency product nationwide. Decentral Bitcoin Cards will be made available for Canadians to purchase Bitcoin from local merchants.

Bitcoin Will Now Be More Accessible in Canada
Bitcoin-DecentralThe company says the Decentral Card will be a first for the country and will allow an easier way to purchase the virtual money within the region. The cards will be sold in local retail stores in Canada and will be in denominations of $20, $50, and $100. The cards can be bought just as any phone card or gift card in a convenient store and are redeemable via the Decentral Bitcoin Card Website. Decentral believes offering these cards to the public will promote adoption faster and make Bitcoin more accessible. Decentral founder and CEO Anthony Di Iorio said in the announcement:

“We’ve helped thousands of customers purchase bitcoin at our bitcoin ATM in Toronto, and our goal has always been to increase availability across Canada. Based on the knowledge we’ve gained over the years, we’ve developed a system that makes buying bitcoin as easy and convenient as possible for both customers and merchants,” — Anthony Di Iorio, Decentral

The organization has already tested and “perfected” the card last year. Di Iorio believes the cards will bring ease-of-use to the Bitcoin atmosphere in the country. “The Cards remove the hassles and technical issues associated with installing, maintaining and using terminals or ATMs,” says Di Iorio. “Our new system can be scaled quickly to new locations without the existing roadblocks and complicated logistics common to Bitcoin ATMs.”

Decentral has been in the crypto-industry for quite some time. The organization is home to the most active Bitcoin ATM and cryptocurrency meetups in Toronto. The group founded Kryptokit in 2013 and Decentral.tv which gave in-depth interviews and insight into the decentralized-tech industry. Di Iorio is also a co-founder of Ethereum and has just recently accepted a position at the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). The exchange is one of Canada’s leading financial companies and named Di Iorio it’s Chief Digital Officer. Decentral is continuing its expertise in consulting, its local meetups, offering an accessible ATM, and now with its own loaded Bitcoin cards.

Decentral Bitcoin Cards are going to be launched in select provinces this month. In the summer, the cards will be readily available nationwide. The company says that Ethereum and other select currency cards should be deployed for purchase in thousands of stores by the year end. Decentral is proud to be able to offer the mainstream an accessible way to purchase cryptocurrencies and looks forward to the future of the economy it’s fueling.

The patent wars continue:

Wall Street Is Trying to Beat Silicon Valley at Its Own Game

Banks race to beat the patent trolls—and Silicon Valley.

"The biggest U.S. banks, including Bank of America, and payments networks such as MasterCard are applying for more patents than ever before on everything from mobile wallets to blockchain ledgers similar to those used for the digital currency bitcoin. Banks and payments companies were awarded 1,192 patents over the past three years, 36 percent more than the prior three-year period, according to researcher Envision IP."

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-02-11/disrupting-banks-go-see-what-they-re-doing-at-the-patent-office

From the standpoint of the small business owners, this is a very unfortunate practice of better financed big companies. It is a deliberate way to stifle and retard competition; hence innovation.

Ireland is set to benefit from government support of Bitcoin and fintech:

Dublin Is A Great Hub For FinTech and Bitcoin Innovation

Dublin, Ireland, is attracting a lot of attention in recent months. Not only is the city seeing a healthy influx of startups and FinTech companies, but the number of events taking place in the region is on the rise as well. keeping in mind how Dublin wants to focus primarily on FinTech and Bitcoin, this can be very good news for digital currency development as well.

Dublin Bets Big on FinTech And Bitcoin

Positioning itself as one of the most prominent cities in the FinTech world today, Dublin is on the right track to becoming a major hub in the next few years. European startups are looking for a new home, rather than focusing all of their attention on London. Even though that latter is the financial capital of the world, there is a lot of competition as well.

One of the main reasons for this growth is the support from the Irish government. Unlike other European countries where governments are not exactly boosting innovative efforts, Enterprise Ireland is putting a ton of effort into attracting startups and entrepreneurs across Europe. It is important to keep in mind these efforts are about more than just having startups open a new office in Dublin, but having their founders and entrepreneurs relocate as well.

Support from the government is just one driving factor for the growth in innovation in Dublin though, as various other facilitators play a major role as well. Companies such as Google are running various programs for Irish entrepreneurs, and they have expanded the Google Tech Hub Network to Dublin as well in August of 2015.

Just companies and entrepreneurs are only making up part of the FinTech and Bitcoin ecosystem in the region, though. With a growth in the number of local events and conferences, a lot of people are travelling through Dublin around the clock. Putting together hundreds of bright minds will spur future innovation in the payment industry, which can only be seen as a positive thing.

Last but not last, Dublin has been pretty successful in using its advantages over other European cities. Its proximity to London is very beneficial to those companies and entrepreneurs looking for additional funding, and also brings a lot of expertise in the financial sector to the table.

Additionally, hiring is rather expensive due to a favorable regulatory ecosystem, and with a multitude of IT companies, there are plenty of coders to go around. FinTech, Bitcoin, and the blockchain will all benefit from this booming startup and events scene in Dublin over the next few years; that much is certain.

Pretty interesting to watch as this unfolds, Industry Businesses Pledge to Avoid Bitcoin Network Split.

Just hours after the release of an alternative implementation of the bitcoin software, a group of miners, exchanges and service providers who work with the digital currency issued a letter stating that they would not back any "controversial" changes to the bitcoin network.

The letter calls for an increase in the cap that currently limits the bitcoin blockchain's transaction processing capabilities while also voicing support for a proposal called Segregated Witness, code previously put forward by the team behind the majority-used Bitcoin Core software as part of a broader scalability roadmap.

Those signing the letter said they reject the viability of a "contentious hard-fork", a change to the bitcoin software that makes previous versions incompatible. In this instance, all of the network's users would either have to download new software in order to be part of the new chain, or transaction history, or continue running the old version.

In the case of Bitcoin Classic, the change could result in one network operating with blocks with a 2MB block size cap and another with the existing 1 MB cap.

The letter reads:

"We think any contentious hard fork contains additional risks and potentially may result in two incompatible blockchain versions, if improperly implemented. To avoid potential losses for all bitcoin users, we need to minimize the risks. It is our firm belief that a contentious hard-fork right now would be extremely detrimental to the bitcoin ecosystem."

The publication followed the release of Bitcoin Classic, an effort to raise the block size limit of the bitcoin network by means of a hard fork. Prior to the release of the client, those backing the project claimed significant support from the bitcoin mining community, going as far as listing a number of mining entities on the project’s main website.

Yet, doubts remained as to the level of support from miners (particularly those based in China) for the Bitcoin Classic proposal.

Unfortunately, the drama will continue and put a damper on Bitcoin progress.

It seems to me that rampant P&D is back in full force as reflected in CoinMarketCap.

last September, I approached Yunbi on behalf of TooSlackToHelpMe Coin. We wanted to first establish that this Chinese exchange had an English speaker on its help desk. Yup. His name is 'Savi' (sunyi@yunbi.com). Now, it's illogical for me to re-contact this guy about Dnotes . . . but someone else could.

As you may know, Chris will be speaking for us at the CoinFest UK event. Here is the rough draft summary of what he will be covering there:

Those of us within the cryptocurrency community hardly need to be reminded of the benefits, both economic and social, which digital money can bring both to the UK and the global economy. But the assurance of us ‘in the know’ is mirrored by confusion, concern and a lack of confidence among the general public. Prudence and caution are not words commonly associated with the dramatic and rapid rise of cryptocurrencies, but the model of DNotes, a new, open-source digital currency built around social responsibility and global outreach, demonstrates an alternative path, striking a balance between a reliable cryptocurrency geared towards promoting public confidence, and striking, innovative use of blockchain technology. Cryptocurrencies are the future; the time has come to consider their legacy.

Inspiring, love it Chris, will we get a video for the event?

Looking into it. They are looking to get it live streamed as well.

That is awesome!!

Excellent, Chris. Wish I can be there. Best of luck. Alan

Awesome Chris! I just looked at CoinFest to check out the details. You'll kill it bro!

If you want to read any of my slides from the talk I gave in November, feel free to pm me (if you're one of the members in this forum - since I can't put an alias to your name at this time).

This jogged my memory in regards to my talk in November, I've asked again when the video of my talk will be uploaded. I just got a reply saying they're slated to be edited and uploaded this weekend. I'm currently hoping the second DNotes video - "An Introduction to DNotes" will be completed by the end of February. The filming of that video went great, much better than the last video. With Chris's talk, we're going to have a seriously awesome channel lining up!

Busy busy, will be more active from after Monday / Tuesday... promise! I'm still alive, albeit more covertly behind the scenes.

Always good to see you here, TeeGee. I know that you have been spending a lot of time behind the scene for DNotes, despite your own heavy workload. We appreciate that very much. The book is shaping up to be as unique as DNotes. It is beginning to look like a trail blazer and likely to be of great help to many small business owners. I appreciate all the help and encouragement I have been getting. Thank you.

This is an interesting article. Have We Reached Peak Blockchain Hype?

But in the general positive hubbub of late, there have been a small but growing number of sceptical voices calling out the burgeoning blockchain space and the media for over-hyping the potential of distributed ledger technology.

By doing so, they warn that banks could be falling into the same pattern of overpromising and underdelivering that seems to have stalled digital currency efforts.

*****************

This got me to thinking about what will come next. Now everyone believes blockchain is amazing, right? It can have some great applications, but I still believe the most amazing application is digital currency. After all, blockchain was specifically created for digital currency. If interest in blockchain wanes, what will be the next 'blockchain'?

Do we ever learn that:

"New technologies go through a hype cycle," they write. "The challenge near the beginning of that cycle is to identify the uses and applications that will stand the test of time. Like most new technologies, blockchains could cause significant damage if used indiscriminately."

It is so typical of "love / hate" relationships. It is so easy to go to the extreme end of either spectrum. We are grounded on our love for what DNotes, blockchain - the under-pinning technology that powers our currency can do. With trust, transparency and relentless devotion we can build value and purpose for the benefits of mankind. The blockchain is built to serve the digital currency; the transfer and audit trail of any digital asset with verifiable time-stamped public records, without the oversight of any central authority. If we can just focus and perfect those functions and be superior in functions to fiat currency, DNotes will be worth a lot. When that happens, we may be in the position to re-direct some of the "hype". This could end up to be a full circle endeavor.

Once upon a time, in a crypto galaxy far far away . . .

Mark and Ian used the term ‘bell jar,’ meaning that there were ‘X’ dollars in the cryptosphere, and when Bitcoin’s price rose, the price of altcoins dropped. and vice versa, with hydraulic precision.

The Big Spike put us ‘post-bell-jar,’ meaning that the hydraulic-ness remained a core reality, but weaker.

During this period, the much-increased ease of buying and using cryptos kept weakening the altcoins-are-beholden-to-Bitcoin thang.

And the beginning of connections to non-English-speaking tech communities we watched with bated breath. We were also moving beyond the ‘English-speaking bell-jar'!

But the 2.0s were a qualitative shift: attracting different types of investors, and therefore drawing capital from a new pot.

[And Cryptsy’s collapse will rid us of much dead wood.]

And Mr Doomerngloom muttered unceasingly about How It’s Ultimately Gonna Be All about GFC.

Which brings us to now:

we are witnessing the collective realization of these shifts: the citizens of China and other nations buying in, and doing so in some cases because their national currencies are tanking (GFC!). Waves of corporate acceptance is bringing cachet to the technology. A 2.0 is this second finally showing that 2.0s can create a parallel crypto-arena.

Conclusion: we are now well well well into post-bell-jar. Capital is sloshing in from various sources at various moments for various reasons.

Special Conclusion for Dnotes:

there will soon enough likely be billions and billions more of capital ‘sloshing’ about. It will sting to see some of it go straight to, for example, some of the 2.0s, or perhaps some new ‘country coins’ (Government or 'free'); but lots and lots of folks will be in the market for a simpler, better-managed, more transparent post-fiat instrument of exchange, certainly as you seem to be the only clan on the planet that has figured out ‘Merchant goood!’. Dnotes future is bright.

Mark, thank you very much for your support, confidence and encouragement in what we have in store for DNotes. To share your sentiments, our very long term vision can relate to a point in "time, in a crypto galaxy far far away" Closer to home we are very committed to shorter term vision of 5 and 10 years. As a reminder, DNotes 2nd birthday is a week from tomorrow, Thursday February 18.

I am planning to share a little more of 5 and 10 year vision for DNotes next week. Indeed, we want DNotes to be a simpler and more efficient form of money, giving common people a choice to supplement their fiat currency. With transparency and trust, over the long term, people always make the best choice.  That is the true spirit of the free world we support and promote.

Brandon's article was republished on the popular fire rescue site FireRecue1.com. Excellent job Brandon!

Wow, that is a great outlet to some coverage! It's probably the fire service's equivalent of mainstream media!

Excellent job, Brandon. Impressive!

Hey, Shepherd! There is a touch of facetiousness there -- but not much. And 'buy everything' can be effected in a range of indirect ways. But the thesis is on the record. WTS.

As fast as I can type:

‘ . . . ever-more exotic monetary policy is rapidly reaching the point of diminishing returns.’

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-global-markets-idUSKCN0VI011

China mainland is on holidays -- ?

Japan exchanges down over 5% today, and government bonds went negative for the first time ever.

Asian shares ‘torched,’ ‘investors stampeding [out of stocks].’

European stocks slumped: Deutsche Bank has lost 36% just since January the 1st.

Greece? ‘Banking-sector meltdown.’

Insuring European banks against default has spiked to 2013 levels.

And good luck finding anyone who still thinks the U.S. Fed Reserve thinks the U.S. economy is strong enough to bear any interest-rate increases this year.

Quote From Shepherd Today:

The risk profile of the banking sector will continue to increase. Most of the major international banks are relatively stronger than during the last global financial crises of 2008. What makes it hard to speculate is which deck of cards will collapse first.

What is quite clear, is that, the chances of the US avoiding a full blown global recession is become more remote. Personally, I am deeply concerned, that this time, it will negatively impact the small business owners more than we have ever seen. Many are already stretched to the limits because of mounting costs and regulations in doing business. What is bad for small business is bad for the country. And what is bad for the employers is also bad for the employees.

"Many investors believed that signs of stress in the market for credit default swaps pointed to further declines ahead.

"There is a high probability of a further correction in equity prices, led by banking and energy stocks. There could be a wave of defaults in the energy sector and that will damage the balance sheet of the banking sector," said Lorne Baring, managing director of B Capital Wealth Management. Slowing global growth was clouding the outlook further, he added.
