Selling large amount of t_ICN tokens for ICO price!! Minimum purchase amount is 1 t-BTC
Who is in?
1182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: October 20, 2016, 05:19:46 PM
Where are you guys seeing all the decimal places in your ICO account?  My ICO dashboard only shows 2 decimal places (.05) and my test tokens show more (.051643268159705011).  Was there an email with your final amount in lots of decimal places?  If so, I never got it....

I believe dashboard shows 2 decimal places. In reality the exact amount of tokens is 8 decimal points. In your case .051643268159705011 ~ .05

So you are saying that nobody knew their exact amount of ICN beyond two decimal places until this test send, correct?

correct

Prob they keep a long talk with all stakeholders, etherteam, exchanges team, to hit market smothly and strong
I seriously doubt that Iconomi team cares about ICN price short term. Before the platform is live and kicking (2 active funds minimum) price is just speculation

yeah lets wait until 2017
still can't figure out why one would sell ICN tokens before first dividends are paid

why can't they release the ICONOMI now after all testing is now working.
i say let us all trade p2p and we'll see if the dumping of coins later will really happen since, most probably dumpers are going to sell them without exchanges.
a second hardfork is planned. Also - less than one day is not enough testing for release like that
1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: October 20, 2016, 01:04:15 PM
Hi @ all.

I have a seller whcih will sell me for 16k each ICN.

We have also a good known ESCROW from Bitcointalk.

If i got the account and set a google 2fa can the old investor change it
and steal my bought ICN after he gets his BTC from Escrow?

How will you change the registered email in ico website? He can always invoke the forgot password option and have a reset password link sent to his email.
In my opinion it is too risky, and not supported by Iconomi team - you can get f***ed

I'd wait for exchanges - have my BTC in place and wait for first day trading
1187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: October 20, 2016, 11:25:12 AM
any official statement from the team if there will be some extra delays due to 2nd HF or they will still launched on the 25th?

No need to worry, we expect will still launched on 25th
just wait and see later.

Right. I cannot await The "sell-sell-guys" to disappear so the rest of us will see, what this project will be able to reach in the crypto and maybe fiat markets.
This will be very exciting.
Agree. The next 2 years are going to be very excited for Iconomi shareholders

Does recent attacks on ETH actually cost anything or ETH is that much flawed in such ways possible to ddos all the time?
Is there a token causing these difficulties again like DAO?

Is there a token causing these difficulties again like DAO?
From FAQs:
Could something like the Dao happen with this?

No. The DAO had a bug in the code with lots of ETH inside and that's what brought it down. ICONOMI cryptocurrencies are kept in multiple cold storage addresses and there is no way to directly interact with them via a smart contract.

I do not see how this project is revolutionary, please someone explain it to me in layman terms. And when will the tokens be trade-able on exchanges?

start with FAQs - it is always a good idea. If you have read the FAQs already, what exactly is not clear?
1191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: October 20, 2016, 10:33:59 AM
Can't wait till 25th Cheesy

I can't wait for the platform to go live. Token distribution date is not as important as developing the platform. Token distribution is important in order to define ownership, thus it has to be step 1.
It is not important in regards to trading before there is an operational platform with min 2 active funds
1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: October 20, 2016, 10:08:02 AM
There are some rumours that second Hard Fork could be on October 25, which probably means, that ICONOMI distribution will be further delayed.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/58bcr8/whats_the_eta_of_hard_fork_round_2/
Lets hope they will do HF before.

OMG not again! The thing is the Iconomi team seem to be determined to run the distribution on a Tuesday. Which would mean ANOTHER week delay! I really really hope this doesn't happen. People will start to loose faith.

Loosing faith in WHAT? Does your "faith" refer to "gimmie the tokens asap so I can dump them on the market"?
If your faith is elsewhere, let's say in the PLATFORM (the actual reason for the ICO to take place) and the services it will offer, so no faith should be lost.

Guys please refrain from posting and discussing things as if you are the experts or a team member, this just is not a good public relation strategy.

I asked @ICONOMI to provide forum usernames of #Iconomi team members long time ago but nothing so far.

A little odd that a big team with a dozen members only one officially introduced, so is that mean other members has no participation in this thread? if yes then what a role models or such supporters and if no meaning they have participated in this thread but without letting the public know their usernames which again is a bad thing imo.

so is that mean other members has no participation in this thread?
Why would they have? Other team members wrote, and will keep writing, official company updates on https://medium.com/iconominet
I don't see any added value in the backend or mobile devs, marketing, or legal being active here, on reddit or any other forums. It is not their job. I'd prefer them stay away from all that background noise as much as possible and focus on what they should to. I do believe it is one of the other team members job (CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS) to do that.

Main problem is still with Ethereum  network if they have allready announced some instructions all investor will try to test or make a transactions.
At the current network  everybody will have problems and than it is difficult to comunicate  and help 3.500 investors.
When network will be cleaned it will be less stressfull for everyone.
The most important is that they are developing the product. Developing the product is at the moment no connected to Ethereum  network problems.
The bad thing is that we cant sell ICN writh now.
The good thing is that when launch will be done the product will be much more developed and this would be the reason for better ICN price on exchange

The bad thing is that we cant sell ICN right now.
Not sure it is bad thing, unless you need the money urgently.
You are right - the most important thing is for the team to keep developing the platform. token distribution is not related to it. I believe that due to all problems with ether network it created overload on the team and thus caused some delay on the core product development. Or maybe not. Jani and Jaka are dealing with all front-end communications (pretty well!), and I believe they let the devs do their job

I do understand (partially) people being so eager, what I don't get is why they cannot read and try to understand the real cause of the delay. It can save a lot of whining and false accusations
1195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: October 20, 2016, 07:08:15 AM
For your  own coins... Never use something else than a desktop wallet with the private keys in your own hand.
Better would be a complete offline storaged paperwallet and only a small amount for daily use in the deaktop wallet.
That would mean maximum safety. (Don't forget things like very strong passwords etc...).

MEW (myetherwallet) can be downloaded and run completely locally. It's just as safe especially if used this way.  Several of you should stop spreading FUD when you haven't done the work to understand these technologies first.

IMO there is no perfect or better way - it is always a trade-off.

Generating your private key online is not wise. myetherwallet is a complete client side key generator (you can test it with dev tools-->network and make sure that not a single bit is sent from the browser during the key generation). You can indeed download the source code from the official website and do that completely offline like suggested earlier.

Desktop wallets - the problem, or the vulnerability, is when you generate the wallet and password or when signing a transaction online - if your PC is compromised (most times you won't be aware it is) you may lose your wallet balance.
Another risk with desktop wallets is forgetting your password or losing the keystore file. Yes, backups can and should be made, but each backup increases the chance that it will be stolen (again - trade-off).
In any case, DO NOT store your backup file anywhere online - you may be a subject to brute force without even knowing that. In that case it is only a matter of time until your password will be cracked.
Personally my problem with desktop wallets is that there is no 2FA.
You can generate your "wallet" offline on clean PC and sign the spend transactions offline - this should be as secured as you can get in case you remember your password and your keystore file was not stolen.

Offline/paper storage - the most secure way to store your tokens. The downsides are physical damage or lost (especially if it is planned for long store) and theft. Usually used for long-term storage.

Last and not least: Keep your tokens on Iconomi platform. The advantage is that you are getting good security (offline multi-sig cold storage) with relatively easy but still secured way to spend the funds (login credentials, 2FA and email verification).
The trade-off - technically speaking, you don't have control over your own funds. This is where TRUST plays major role. So far (looking back ~4 years), Iconomi team had given us zero reasons not to trust them.
Personal advice for all people out there that don't feel comfortable with wallets, offline generators, keystores, etc - make a strong, long (minimum 16 unique characters, no words or qwerty-based phrase), and unique password for Iconomi platform login and keep your precious tokens on Iconomi platform. If you chose that option, make sure that your email and Iconomi passwords have nothing in common and are not used anywhere else.

Remember: If you screw something with your own wallet - you may lose your tokens forever! Add that to the trade-off calculation before deciding.

Some of the things were written here before, it is not all out of my head, but more like a summary.
Hope it helps

Things are indeed looking optimistic for launch from my chair here...

hehe

That doesn't look very comfortable, where do you put your feet?
and keyboard?

So finally there is no account swap possible as replied from Jani.people can ask refund who sent BTC to escrow, must provide tx hash.

Is it secure? Anyone can send any tx to the escrow. Person need PROVE the ownership of the sending address.

That offer has ended.

Move ICONOMI to Lisk, why not?
As much as I would LOVE that, lisk simply isn't ready. We could "make it happen", but it would violate our roadmap. Lisk is meeting with Iconomi actually right now sharing DDoS setups... who knows, could change.

True. Also Iconomi, what if ultimately Ethereum fails. What is the backup scenario?
LSK, NXT, Counterparty...
Counterparty is stable and an excellent option.

WAVES i think would be much better. This time let get this fix for the release is very much awaited by tons of us excited to see ICN on the exchange and what it can offer in the future. We'd like to see it live.
Waves?  No!  If that were to happen I would dump 100% at launch.  Many others would do the same.

We have yet to get an update guys...  the test contract may have deployed without issue; we just need wait for an official update.
ANYTHING ELSE IS PURE SPECULATION or FUD at this point.

Why Waves isn't good?
Can Lisk be better than Counterparty?

We still need to give ether network a chance.
Regarding other platforms - my main concerns are:
1. Iconomi would be the first major project deployment. Not good idea when it comes down to managed funds platform.
2. Liquidity. If you look at the trading volume of all other alternatives, it can be a major problem for high volume weekly transactions.

Bitcoin would be the best option, but it is expensive.
So it looks like we stay with ether for now.

Bitcoin?  Cheesy I've never hear about Bitcoin as platform for DAPPs/custom asset tokens.

Bitcoin as paying dividends. Not as a platform for asset tokens

Mom told me not to talk bad about folks... (Waves)  Tongue
CAN Lisk be better than Counterparty? Sure, sometime in the future; but as of RIGHT NOW... Lisk is NOT READY.
I know because I run a dozen Lisk servers, am an alpha tester, and I asked Oliver, Max, and Isabella about it.
Isabella did some testing in behalf of ICN on Devnet. It is possible if a private network is created between Iconomi and exchanges, but some updates would need deployed to the main network, and would need tested on both devnet and testnet first.

or.... Counterparty is stable and ready.

Don't you think that counterparty low trading volume and low supply makes it a no-go? I think low supply is why it is not listed in ICNX

sure, how do you expect a complicated chain like ethereum to evolve/move on if they do not tweak the chain? it's not surprising

to me it looks like the attacker is smarter than all of them. He had identified few major flows in the protocol and decides when to start DDoSing the network (devcon2)
And ether devs are well funded. To me it looks like poor management before anything else
