1181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using Bitcoin Cash? on: October 11, 2017, 06:04:55 PM
Have you extracted bitcoin cash from your btc seeds yet? If yes, are you using them?
Or have you sold them or exchanged them for another alt or bitcoin.
Or do you plan to hold them as well and expect the value to go high similar to bitcoin.

There is no point in using Bitcoin cash, no one is using it and no one is accepting it, it is just a coins to speculate with, at some point even those miners are going to grow tired of this and are going to stop mining the coin and then we are going to see panic and the coin will go back to its real value zero dollars.
1182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How many coins should you HODL? on: October 10, 2017, 09:48:56 PM
Hey guys today i have a special question.
i am HODLing 11 different coins right now including bitcoin...it that too much or should i spread even more?

My opinion is make a wide spread so your dont have that big loss. on the other hand also not that big win...

What do you think?
There are no rules for this, you may have a few coins or many, the most important factor is that you analyzed the projects and are comfortable investing in the project, if you do then it does not matter if you have 5 coins or 50 coins since at the end most of your investments are going to give you profits if you took the time to research them and invest at the right time.
1183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you have now 500$ for invest? Where you invest? on: October 10, 2017, 09:46:37 PM
Bitcoin is a decent venture choice and is the most stable crypto currency out there yet you can likewise put resources into numerous another altcoin like waves and Ethereum which is constantly great. put resources into waves and Ethereum hold and hold up that time its cost will increment. What's more, I trust in future you got great benefit.

You'd make a good profit, but if you have 500$ you can easily turn that into 1000$ in a matter of days with a smaller coin like Sonm. Then you can take 300$ out, buy Eth and invest in a good ICO. Rinse, repeat until you're at 10K. Invest that 10K into 10 different ICO's that offer a lot of coins in presale, and you can turn your original 500$ into 50-100K in a matter of years
This is more or less my strategy with the exception that I have a more cash so I do not need to try to multiply it to invest in icos, I知 planing to invest in several projects and sell when I get 10 times my investment I知 not going to become rich with this overnight but if you do this several times the benefits are going to be great.

more cash offers a lot more possibilities. A buddy of mine invested 15K into sonm a few days back when prices were at 0.12$ so he got about 125K sonm. If that goes up to 1 or 2 bucks, he can invest in projects that normal people don't even have access to
That was a good investment, I do not think it is going to take him a lot of time to convert those 15k into 150k, what I will do with that money, many people in my country do not earn that in 10 years of hard work and your friend could earn that in less than a year.
1184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small investors now is your time! on: October 10, 2017, 09:40:26 PM
I watched a video the other day where some guy invested $100 into a bunch of altcoins and he made thousands and thousands of dollars in just one year.
The market of altcoins went up many times over in this year, almost all the altcoins went up in price up to ten times and new projects or coins that had new developments for their investors went up many times over that amount so this was a good year and it seems things are not over yet.
1185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STRATIS Pumping again...be careful on: October 09, 2017, 06:04:51 PM
I cannot tell if this is FUD or legit....straits was always one of my go to coins but its performing like shit lately

I'll be watching this thread
It is easy to discern FUD from legit concerns, most FUD has no backing or a research done, its just a person or group of persons trying to manipulate the market, I think the OP is just concerned about this that is all, the points that he brings are good and should be noted by someone that wants to invest in this coin.
1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Stratis analysis! Share thoughts. Price expectations. on: October 09, 2017, 06:01:51 PM
Hi everyone! First of all I'm sorry for mistakes and bad english, its not my native language.
Guys I am really new in crypto but even so I can't understand why Stratis has so much less attention than other alts? As far as I've learned I came to a conclusion that they have great product and great team and nevertheless the price already went x1000 from ICO I'm still considering strat to be the most undervalued coin nowadays?
I'm long term holder, and would like to know your thoughts on what future do you see for stratis? Especially I will be ver thankful to old enthusiasts if you share your thoughts on stratis and also what price you see in long term (1-3 year)? I believe that 20-30$ is quite possible!
What do you think? Thank you all!
I do not know what else do you want a coin that goes up so high in price and yet you want more attention, people do not stop talking about stratis and the profits they got and with good reason, it was one of the best investments they could make, maybe you do not see it because you are relatively new in the forum.
1187  Economy / Economics / Re: Are cryptocurrencies better than regular currency on: October 09, 2017, 05:57:59 PM
Of course in the bank you only get 1%+ every year but in the crypto world you can get more than 500%+ within months or a year.
And that amount is very conservative, if you invest in an ico and the skyrockets you could easily earn 50x to 100x your investment or even more if things get really crazy so there is not really a competition, bitcoin and other cryptos are way better than any bank in the world.
1188  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where to invest my Bitcoins? on: October 09, 2017, 05:56:16 PM
You can just start trading and then "learrn and earn".

In my point of view buying bitcoins is already an investment. You don't have to do anything thing just simply keep you bitcoin for some years then it will gives you high profits.
It is not only your point of view, anything you have is an investment, if you decide to go to college that is an investment, if you have saved local currency then you are invested in the stability on the economy of your country, if you have a house you are invested in real estate, if you have bitcoin then you are invested in the success of the technology.
1189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think LTC go up soon? on: October 08, 2017, 06:03:12 PM
People from the forum says that LTC is on the second place after bitcoin. But I don't know what is so unicuecin this currency to it become "silver after gold"? There are many other coins which I see much more interesting, this is Etgerum and ZCash, but I see people are investing in Litecoin, so it must be has all chances and reasons for success
Litecoin is basically bitcoin with a faster block generation and with a community that is not as fragmented, when people talk about litecoin being the silver of crypto that has to do with its price, gold and bitcoin are at the top, silver and litecoin are a lot cheaper and that made silver the more widespread of the precious metals, not everyone can afford a bitcoin but everyone can afford a litecoin.
1190  Economy / Speculation / Re: Which one to buy? Stocks Houses Gold or Bitcoin or Bonds? on: October 08, 2017, 05:54:17 PM

Above screenshot shows post-Christmas 2013 thru March 31, 2017:

Which one to buy??

Breakdown of performance for that period (in USD terms):
Bitcoin/USD: +80%
S&P 500 Stocks: +30%
Real Estate (REITs): +26%
Gold: +3%
Bonds: +1%

(Note: Bitcoin performance suppressed due to post insane Chinese-run in late-2013)

[EDIT: Updated chart below thru to early August BTC roughly 3200usd back then):

You answered your own question with that graph, in the first place is bitcoin, the stock market and real estate are very close so I will prefer to buy real estate over stocks, so real estate will be in second place for me, then gold, gold is a great store of value and it can skyrocket depending on the circumstances, then stocks, and even if bonds are the last option I will never buy bonds I do not believe in the ability of the government to pay me back.
1191  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins and Bankers on: October 08, 2017, 05:50:15 PM
Hello All,

I'm new to crypto but not new to the banking/gov game.

What are you thoughts on the bankers/gov potentially controlling Bitcoin behind the scenes putting on a show oh how they are concerned about it?

They can print the fiat to buy bitcoins.
Its the electronic money/world currency they are so thirsty for.
The NSA has supposedly a back door to all our devices.

I think if bitcoin is the new banker currency it will explode higher as 7.5 billion people vs 21 million bitcoins means $$$$ to the early holders.
If Bitcoin is the alternative to the bankers/gov then it will explode higher as well due to the high percentage of people who want to be free from them.

Anyone who has attempted to not use the dollar Ghadaffi (gold Dinar) - Saddam (oil for Euros)  have met a swift end.

Why are they not stopping (possible jail threats) it when they have shown they will go to extreme measures to stop competition.

Either way I see it going higher i'm just trying to get my head around why it has not been stopped.

Thoughts?
If they print money to get bitcoin then they are only going to help bitcoin, bitcoin  becomes more valuable, more people begin to notice it and get on board of bitcoin, this could create a snowball that they could not stop so I think that is why they are not buying bitcoin right now.
1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why Ethereum around 300 while Bitcoin had recovered to 4400 on: October 08, 2017, 05:47:55 PM
I have noticing that Ethereum is stagnant between 290 - 300 . While Bitcoin had sureged 500 upwards in last 10 days.

I do not see any momentum evenethough there are so many tokens are using ethereum tokens  ERC20 platform for their ICO and listing.

The banning of icos coming from china affect ethereum a lot more than it affected bitcoin, how many icos are running over bitcoin and how many are running over ETH? You have your answer, besides many icos gave bonuses to those that bought with ETH and the sparked demand, but with icos banned in china the demand for those bonuses has decreased as well.
1193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I'm selling all my alt coins and putting everything into Golos on: October 08, 2017, 05:44:45 PM
While the OP gave good points I知 not sure he understands the incredible risks he is taking, putting everything in a single coin is a mistake, in fact if a person is only holding bitcoin I will think that is a mistake too, you need to have other coins that way if a coin loses value while another gains the same amount, you break even, I wish the best to the OP but he took an unnecessary risk.
1194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Go to Land Based Casinos? on: October 07, 2017, 06:37:07 PM
Do you gamble at land based casinos?
Yes i experienced that twice but i think its not for me because i never win and my money lose for that. So i never go back again I'm not lucky for land base gamble.
Most people are not lucky in any casino so do not worry is not like they were cheating you, the house edge gives an advantage so great to the casino that you are almost guaranteed to lose no matter what you do, so if you liked the casino you can go there and try the games but only bet what you can afford to lose since your chances of winning are very small.
1195  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BUY high sell low ? on: October 07, 2017, 06:31:44 PM
We cannot control anything obviously.Buy low Sell high is not simple as you said.It integrates with various factors like news, development, need and time. You have to analyze every factor surrounding it before you decide to buy.And if you can see the scope then its better to wait for a small few days and see a small dip and invest. Also I suggest don't put all your eggs in one basket.Try analyzing different coins and finalize a few and invest in all of them. Then you will definitely see the profit.
Correct, it is not as simple, buy low and sell high is a good enough basic advice but what to do when the price never becomes higher? What if the coin you bought has been crashing for months, do you sell for a loss or do you hold? Do you choose to lose money by selling or you take the risk of becoming a bagholder in the hopes the coin recovers?
1196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: October 07, 2017, 06:26:49 PM
You should ask yourself the question : Do Bitcoin has a future ?
Because BTC is so late technologicaly speaking next to so many innovative altcoins...
The answer to that is yes, bitcoin has a future, if what you mean to say that bitcoin technology is outdated, then you may have a point but what altcoin can do what bitcoin can, most of those coins are nothing but copies that only changed the algorithm, like what bitcoin gold is doing right now, they did nothing innovative, bitcoin was and it is still revolutionary.
1197  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I stop Buying BTC? on: October 07, 2017, 06:22:00 PM
As long as you have a money and as long as you are going to hold it for a long time just keep buying bitcoin because if you can't afford to lose some of your money with bitcoin then you don't deserve the thousands percent of gain of it because with bitcoin the game is all about holding it for a long time.
Don稚 stop now process are bit low now so buy as much as you can because golden time is coming when everyone is making money, so invest and hold till the desire point you will get enough, and upcoming era is of bitcoin and world will move to it so buy now and live you future easily and I recommend this to everyone.
do not stop using bitcoin because the price of bitcoin is down because it is a natural thing of a fluctuation, do not stop buying because it will reduce your chances of getting rich, if you want a big profit even get rich, do not stop to buy and hold, be patient and keep your bitcoin gain, in a few years you'll get rich
The more bitcoin you have the bigger your chances of becoming rich in the future and not only that the more bitcoin you have the faster that is going to happen, unfortunately I do not have a lot of bitcoin but I hope that I will get to my goal of 20 BTC in the next ten years.
1198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small investors now is your time! on: October 06, 2017, 11:12:09 PM
for small investor this is the good time for buying because all china exchanger have been closed and
the price will bounce up because the massive sell from china are stopping.
Yes this is time for the small amount investors. Because the best strategy of every time is buy low sell high and it is the time so one can buy and the hold for the future to gain more profit and  during the prices are low those who bought earlier can hold for the good time to come. Bitcoin is just related to time and nerves one who will not be panic.so those who are small investors can invest now and will be fruitful for them in near future.
That strategy is good for everyone not only for people with a small amount of money, if you have a big amount of money you can benefit as well from the dips in the market, that is what most traders do anyway, they try to find the bottom and then they wait for the price of bitcoin to go up.

1200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves NG in Oktober - 100 transactions per second on: October 06, 2017, 11:03:11 PM
I just don't understand why some people don't get things right, because it can handle many transactions than bitcoin doesn't mean it is better than BTC and that people will use it.  A very good example is WavesDex nobody is using the platform that was hype to the public and the next best thing

They know that few people are using their platform but have you looked at how nice and easy it actually looks? And have you seen how their future DEX will start to look like?

They got a lot of things right... but they have a poor PR campaign, that is all. And guess what? I like that:) Let it happen naturally.
somehow i have never found anything useful from waves.
because my experience is pretty bad there.
Anything specific? WAVES is in my opinion a good coin, and the service they are offering by being a decentralized exchange seems fine to me, like any service maybe some users are not happy with the service but overall I think that it is one of the best project in crypto at the moment.
