Why to invest in HYIP? I guess earntomorrow is a scam website and here is a thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1018960.0

If you want to invest, it's better to buy gift cards from gyft or purse after earning some bitcoins as mostly all HYIPs are scams. Also, faucets won't earn you enough to even invest as one can barely earn $0.2 from faucets (Without any referrals) while websites like tremor games and few android apps make you earn even more. Even get-paid.com is a great website and if you want to earn more BTC, buy at a lower rate and sell at a higher rate. It's safer.

11943  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Marital Rape a Crime? on: May 01, 2015, 11:39:33 AM
Not in India.
The government is facing some flak for this.

http://blogs.wsj.com/indiarealtime/2015/04/30/modi-governments-reasons-why-marital-rape-is-not-a-crime/

Why isn’t it a crime for a man to rape his wife in India? The government says it’s because of poverty, religious beliefs, social customs and the mindset of the Indian society, among other things.

Recently there has been a number of news reports about women being gang raped on the bus system in India.

Obviously there is a broader problem in India concerning perception of women and their role and rights.

That Delhi rape case wasn't a case of marital rape. It's because of some *sick* men who think woman walking on the streets after 8:00 p.m. are characterless.  Lips sealed

Marriages have become a joke when men think women are an item they bought from a shop and they can treat them anyhow they like.

11944  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Net Neutrality in India on: May 01, 2015, 11:33:34 AM

Indian Government isn't corrupted like you think. Maybe, you said it isn't good as other countries but corrupted is not the word to use there. Besides, it is developing not developed. So wait... Anyway, I don't have enough trust/faith in Modi's government. Fame is increasing but fame is not the thing I/we want.

What you said is not true. Government is never *equally* responsible. BSNL's verification and other things are faster than others. It's true and as Government give higher privilege to BSNL which I think most countries does the same, other ISPs charge higher amount. But Cost alone is not the problem. ISPs especially !DEA charges high amount and use way too high traffic.

I don't agree with this as my mom who is a lawyer is aware of the corrupt system. She hasn't met even one honest person in the ministry. They always ask for money under the table (no matter how rich they are). Modi has made many promises of which nothing has been fulfilled till date and the prices have only increased.

May be with regards to the internet, it's not the corruption that's a hurdle but the prices are definitely affected due to taxes charged. For an internet connection of Rs. 650, I pay Rs. 730 (Rs. 80 tax 12.5%) and now I expect the price to get doubled soon. If Net Neutrality is successful, I can only see a positive change for us. I mainly access Facebook and Twitter but the data charges are high. Only Reliance has made it free to access as of now.

Maybe, the service in Mumbai is worse than service in my place? I had no problem like this when I used BSNL. Sad, MTS is banned. Any specific reason? I believe they stopped their service in Mumbai and few other places but didn't know it was a ban. Are you sure about it?

J&K also has the same experience with regards to BSNL. MTS and Uninor was banned due to the 2G Scam and I guess many others too were affected. Vodafone and Airtel managed to pay the amount required but not MTS and Uninor.
11945  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Net Neutrality in India on: May 01, 2015, 11:03:02 AM
True. Indian ISPs charge higher amount.

IMHO you should change to MTS or BSNL. From my experience, MTS was better than BSNL. Others especially !DEA, are worse. Use 'em, if you have no other choice. In different countries, experience might be different. I am from South India, btw. Whatever you choose, !DEA is one if the worst and BSNL is one of the best.

My friend who has BSNL has said that she faced an internet downtime for more than a week while this has never been the case with Tata Photon as there has always been an internet connection (whether it's slow or fast). MTS is banned from my city (Mumbai). Sad
11946  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Net Neutrality in India on: May 01, 2015, 10:37:18 AM
Flipkart refused this offer and now only Internet.org is trying to make Facebook free to access on all devices. I open a website like Google and it consumes 250-300 KB and if I don't have an internet plan, it consumes almost Rs. 100 ($2) of my balance.

Talking about internet plans, the rates are ridiculous. I have a connection of $12 and get a speed of 152 KBPS from Tata Photon and most services like BSNL offer $10 for 512 KBPS speed but their connection drops often. With $25, you can get a max speed of 1 MBPS unlimited internet but not more than that. I have seen other countries paying way less than Indian ISPs.
11947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is this transaction already confirmed? on: April 30, 2015, 08:27:32 PM
How many confirmations does a transaction have to have for you to use your Bitcoin?
Sorry, my family and I are new to this

It actually depends on the wallet your transferring to and receiving from. If you're transferring to a blockchain wallet, I guess 1-3 transactions would be suffice while other wallets require 6+ transactions to confirm it.

---------------------------------------------

But why do I not see the funds in my wallet instantly?
There could be many possible reasons. The most common one is that the wallet doesn’t show any bitcoins with less than a number of confirmations (typical values are ‘3’ and '6’). Check the Confirmations for your transaction on the blockchain.info page. What does it say?

If Confirmations shows 0-3, the Bitcoin network is just slow, and you need to wait a bit more.

If Confirmations shows a higher number, then the bitcoins can be considered completely irreversible, in other words the transaction is done.

Every new confirmation needs 10 minutes on average. So depending on what type of wallet you use and many factors, it could take between 10 minutes and 1 hour before you get to spend the bitcoins that you have bought. This will be on average 20-30 minutes.

Being an alt of a person who backs out from an escrow agreement also makes one to be a scammer? Even if this user is an alt, what's the big deal unless he has truly scammed someone using this alt account. If he has (tries to), there will be some kind of claim.

Now it just appears as a personal grudge against someone now and not a scam accusation. Anyways, this post should be moved to Meta (which is already filled with such claims).
11949  Other / Meta / Re: Are members of sig ad campaigns only banned or other members as well are banned? on: April 30, 2015, 07:30:37 PM

A simple question, have you reported those posts with the "Report to moderator" function? This is the unique and fast way to report any form of spam.

I reported those posts now as I dint know whether or not they are considered as spam and many of my earlier reports have been excluded. These posts are in the local section and especially in the off topic section so I guess they won't be deleted or the user may not get a ban for it. I have seen other members as well posting with their alt accounts in one thread and my report was excluded as those posts still exist.
11950  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best ways to advertise faucet reflinks? on: April 30, 2015, 03:57:05 PM
A quote from the Global Mod:

There are no sections where you are allowed to solely post your referal link. That falls under referal spam, and will be removed. You can include your referal link in posts assuming the post is on topic to begin with, it is a quality post, you did not create the thread to post your referal, and the referal link is not unsolicited. Hidden referals are also frowned upon. So I'll give you an example.

You want to post your btcjam referal link:

Someone creates a thread asking for information about btcjam, say about security, safety of giving a loan, measures in which they prevent fraud, etc etc. You then respond to the OP's question in a constructive way addressing the question, and then include a "here is my referal link if you would like to use it (insert non hidden referal link). That would be fine. Something to note, since it has been done before, if you create a thread with an alt account so that you can post your referal link, it is an immediate ban. Generally if someone posts a referal link, it is just removed as a warning. Showing that you are completely aware that its against the rules and then trying to evade the rule with alts shows that you have already been warned but don't care.

However, don't try to post the referral link on different threads as it can be considered as spam and can get you banned.

11951  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are some movies you watched that changed the way you view the society? on: April 30, 2015, 03:49:54 PM
I dint find any Hollywood movie that changed my view towards society as mostly I love Horror movies and they talk about superstitions and sci-fiction movies are mainly fictional.

Among Bollywood movies, Slumdog Millionaire and PK were good as it changed my view towards humanity and religion. PK tells us that there is only one religion and that's humanity. The creator is only one and he treats all humans equally while it is humans who differentiate between one another.

Slumdog Millionaire focuses on the humans who live in the slum areas and their struggle in life.

11952  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Marital Rape a Crime? on: April 30, 2015, 03:39:50 PM
Just read the argument yesterday and it does not make any sense to not make it an offense. They argue saying that marriage is considered sacred and so it cannot be considered a crime. Rape in any terms is a criminal offense and making such excuses is just a way to protect the criminals. So many people get abused because of such baseless arguments saying that people will misuse it.
11953  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Poll - Where are the most lies told? on: April 30, 2015, 02:50:08 PM
Nobody can defeat politicians. They are class actors and in fact the Film Industry should be ruled by them. They copy and paste the same speech while campaigning and throw tomatoes and slippers during political meetings.

They should be hooked up to a lie detector with a BIG PUBLIC TV SCREEN every time they debate one another or make a speech.
If only politicians had the Pinocchio gene we could catch these liars every time.

Still it will be useless as they speak lies with confidence. There are many politicians who have been a victim of sting operations and they have admitted that they are corrupt in those videos. Still they have gone ahead and said "It was my look alike who admitted to it" "The video is fake" There is a conspiracy against me" "My voice is dubbed" "I was threatened". Those lie detectors will break down as they might even be lying about their name and age.

11955  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I buy Bitcoin (+2-5% preev.com rate) on: April 30, 2015, 01:34:19 PM
I am interested in the exchange but I am from India and you mentioned you cannot send to Indian PayPal  Sad

Do you accept Perfect Money/OKPay as payment methods?

I can send to you via Paypal , i just send to a friend an hour ago and he is in Delhi ,India. I can send you as a friend, i pay the fees.

How much BTC are you willing to sell. Keep in mind that i take pictures, and i don't care for 2.5 USD lost, i will post the pictures here that will prove accusation against you if you scam.

I am willing to buy 0.01 BTC at 2.30 USD plus 0.35 USD fee, so you receive 2.3 USD in total. Max i can go 2.5 USD for 0.01 plus the fees i will pay them.

I trade around 20 PM europe time, which is almost 12 am in India. Keep this in mind.

I want to trade only 0.005 BTC at the moment. 0.005 BTC = $1.17 + $0.35 fee = $1.52.

If OK, let me know. I too can afford only $1.52 loss not more. I'll PM you my PayPal address.

I don't know who will need to open scam accusation thread  Cheesy

God bless both of us.

Sorry for bumping this thread but I want to ask a question. If a member posts in the same thread using his alt accounts (with a similar response) and he is wearing a signature. Is this considered spamming?

Eg: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1041138.msg11237976#msg11237976

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1041138.msg11239220#msg11239220

The users appear to be alts.

You want to buy or sell your BTC? I saw your thread in the Indian Market Place. I want to sell my 0.0645 BTC for IMPS/NEFT. Let me know if interested in exchange and the rate as well Smiley
11959  Other / Meta / Re: Get email notification of thread starter posts for a specific forum on: April 30, 2015, 12:17:37 PM
Click here to be notified about new threads created in the Announcements (Altcoins) forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=notifyboard;sa=on;board=159.0;

You just need to visit the forum section and click "Notify" in the upper right corner and you'll get notified when new Threads are created in that forum and not when a user replies to posts.

To sort the forum thread click "Last post". https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0;sort=last_post

However, you'll be notified only once via email and until you don't visit that forum section, the second notification won't be sent. I hope this helps  Smiley

I am not sure if MZ said the same thing.
it's not working. everytime i try got this message

I guess that link was for my session and hence it failed. Here is a screenshot which explains the procedure:

I took this image for the "bitcoin discussion" forum. Similarly, go to the Announcement (Altcoin) board and click "Notify" to be notified for new threads that are created.
