121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HOLD THE BtC on: March 15, 2018, 02:54:02 PM
Let me share you a story. This story is full of misery but every other story it has a happy ending. That was like more than year and a half ago. I was new in crypto world and i started to work on how to earn botcoin. Btc price was valued by 500 dollar and i had few mbtc got those from performing video campaign jobs crypto-games.net tutorial review video and rollin.io help me to gather some amount of btc.
Price was rising. And i was new i didnt had dollars or didnt had the courage to invest in fear of loosing money so i cashed it price gone up to 1000. And i had no dollars with me so i can make invest.
Later on i had earned btc by exchanging other cryptos to btc and sell it to 1000 dollar i was happy  that i made a right decision. Price gone up to 2000 dollars from 1500 and i felt like damn man!!! Then i decided i aint gonna sell btc at all.
I had like 250mbtc by then valued of 500 dollars. All was earned. I hold it tightly and long awaited decision was worthy of it. I had 2500 dollars left with me. I sold those coins by 10000 too much greed is a sinful thing.
So hold the Coins. This the best time to buy some btc. If you can then grab some. If you got some then hold it tightly. There is nothing which can stop bitcoin. Quoted by billgates.

Well, there is some confusion about the investment of cryptocurrency whether it's bitcoin or altcoin. The confusion that occur are:
1. whether the bitcoin will actually go up so I should be able to continue to hold my bitcoin.
2. if i sell now, will the price still go down so i can buy it back
3. if i don't sell it now, i will lose 100% profit, but if the price keeps up, i can get more profit

this is all a matter of uncertainty. the best decision is a decision taken realistically in accordance with the reality that occurs without involving prediction or speculation.
122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will destroy the bitcoin? on: March 15, 2018, 02:37:08 PM
Bitcoin will be destroyed by several factors :
1. All country/Governments in the world banned bitcoin sirculated and bitcoin exchange. (if that happen, so bitcoin will not have price, because nobody can buy bitcoin anymore)
2. Investors and miners isn't interested again with bitcoin. (But this is very impossible to happen, because bitcoin can give some big profit to users)

So in my mind, Just number 1 maybe can destroyed bitcoin. Media can't destroy Bitcoin, media just make the price down, because so many media shared fake bad news about bitcoin. And after that Bitcoin will price will be back to normal again.

how can a state or government stop the bitcoin circulated while the bitcoin itself is a decentralized. No country controls this currency. As long as people still use bitcoin as a very useful peer to peer transaction tool, of course, bitcoin will stay alive, if bitcoin is alive, there will be transactions, well if the transaction is still running, that means miners will keep performing its function.
123  Economy / Economics / Re: FINANCIAL TIPS on: March 15, 2018, 01:23:57 PM
Everyone has different habits and lifestyles that can certainly affect their own financial condition. Could be, the tips you give can be useful for some people and not for others. There are people who make lifestyle as a necessity, some are just consider it complementary. There are people who think owning a personal vehicle is a primary need, others assume that it is a tertiary needs. So, it all depends on what we belong to.
124  Economy / Economics / Re: Investment amount on: March 15, 2018, 01:12:44 PM
investing in large quantities on cryptocurrency would be potentially very fatal for big losses anyway. No wonder people call it Extreme risk Extreme profit. You should be ready to see your portfolio at a loss of over 50%. I don't suggest large amounts of investment for the short or medium term. Better start studying it with a small investment nominal and gradually add value to capital as you experience.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think it is best to invest in BITCOIN now? on: March 15, 2018, 01:02:26 PM
No one can guarantee whether this is really the bottom point of bitcoin in this period. We will not see bullish anytime soon, and that is marked by the failure of bitcoin to break through resistance at $ 12k point, if bitcoin back up and again failed to break resistance at that point, I think we will see the price range of $ 5k - $ 11k in a long time. The decision is in your hands, try to look for a good entry point in the price range I mentioned.
126  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I invest in BITCOIN ???? on: March 15, 2018, 12:24:11 PM
try to look for some references, for example, see what experienced traders do when the market conditions are like this. If you have an account on a social-based trading site, you can certainly see the portfolio of people who each year earn more than 100% profits and wrestle the cryptocurrency market. By taking it as a reference, you can certainly decide whether to invest now or not. The more referrals you collect, the more accurate the possibility of profit you'll get.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google will ban ICO and crypto ads? on: March 15, 2018, 12:00:20 PM
I think it will be difficult to implement, like it was in case of Facebook. It is difficult to control all ads.
Google is far better than Facebook when it comes to such things. But my friend, I think Google will never do this or at least it will leave some ads unblocked by its own free will. Business is not as simple as it appears and these giant tech companies will always promote technology. Bitcoin is a part of technology, a very beautiful invention rather. But even if we consider the worst case scenario, bitcoin will survive even if google makes such a foolish move.

in fact, this is not a foolish act, but an act that can at least reduce the often fraudulent acts of initial coin offering (ICO). Sure, we don't know clearly and definitely what google's purpose really is, but for Google, the users are a top priority that they have to think about. Not only does it provide features that can help with day-to-day work, but google should also protect it against any actions that could harm the users of the Google service itself so that the users in a prolonged stay comfortable using google.
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google will ban ICO and crypto ads? on: March 14, 2018, 12:55:12 PM
Guys hi,

Did you hear about it?

In a post published Tuesday, the firm suggested that it will certainly change its existing monetary product restriction listing in June this year, blacklisting ad web content “including yet not limited to initial coin offerings (ICO), cryptocurrency exchanges, cryptocurrency purses, as well as cryptocurrency trading suggestions.”

“Such advertisements will not be allowed to serve,” the blog checks out. In addition, the restriction will relate to Google’s both proprietary as well as associated ad systems.

“We do not have a crystal ball to know what the future expects the market to cry out. But we have seen enough harm for consumers in this area, so we want to approach it with particular caution, “- said on Google.

The bitcoin price was largely unchanged after Google’s announcement.

source:http://icowatchers.co/google-will-ban-ico-and-crypto-advertisements/

in terms of protection of users of Google facilities against Scam acts that often occur on the ICO project, this decision can be said a very wise decision, because in order to protect the Google users from financial crime company google must lose the source of income that can be obtained from this cryptocurrency sector. But, of course, they have taken into account everything, and they are paying more attention to all the possibilities that can take advantage of Google as a means to succeed any fraud to the users.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you deal with friends/family when they lose their investment? on: March 14, 2018, 12:28:28 PM
Well, it's a mistake to introduce bitcoin to them as an investment tool that can give big profits so that if something like this happens, you can only assure them by all means that the price will return to normal.

the thing you should explain when introducing bitcoin to a friend or family is what bitcoin is and what the actual function is. Then at the end of your explanation, you can explain that bitcoin can be used as an investment tool by prioritizing an explanation of the risks to be faced rather than focusing on the profit that can be provided.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is altcoins are depends on btc on: March 14, 2018, 11:39:06 AM
If btc down will altcoin also down or will it have a future without bitcoin
I doubt bitcoin will ever completely down, dead or abandoned,
If it does, which most likely never going to happen, another altcoin will arise and take its place as the supreme coin
and all other altcoins will be traded based on this coin, and cryptoworld continue as usual Cool
the most prominent candidates would be BCH, LTC or ETH as the next #1 crypto currency

I also doubt the bitcoin will totally fall, die, and be abandoned. Well, there is nothing impossible in this world, and if it does happen, it is a real sign of the failure of bitcoin developers to compete with other altcoins and of course, its role as the ultimate and most dominant cryptocurrency of all will be taken over by altcoins that deserve the title.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [WHO] owns most bitcoin. on: March 14, 2018, 07:14:58 AM
Not all people are willing to trade and not all people have skills to trade. As simple as that.

It is just like FIAT. Money around the world is around 1 Quadrillion and how much are being traded in Stock Market worldwide about $90 Trillion.

Most likely Bitcoin that is not being traded is just stored in their wallet.

well, if this is true, that means the bitcoin can be manipulated by those who store it in large numbers and we cannot know who they are. Let's say Satoshi Nakamoto, he could truly have a 1 million BTC and it's not impossible at any time they sell all the bitcoin they have and 'booom', bitcoin prices will be back in the $1000 lift or worse than that.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [WHO] owns most bitcoin. on: March 14, 2018, 02:29:47 AM
Based on data generated from bitcoinity.org that in the last 30 days the number of bitcoins circulating on some major exchange is:

exchange             volume BTC
bitfinex                  1.618.839
GDAX                       646.405
Bitstamp                   482.180
HitBtc                       175.271
Kraken                     297,284
Gemini                     199,529   ---> Sum of BTC traded
Bit-x                          60.462
exmo                         20,460
itbit                           86,200
cex.io                        59,000
Others                       24.100
----------------------------------
TOTAL                   3.669.730

If averaged every day there are only about 150,000 bitcoin traded. This proves that the total of 16,917,838 bitcoins that have been circulating, only about
21.6% traded every month. If the total missing bitcoin is about 5%, where is the remaining 73.4%? who owns it the most? I assume that the rest is in the hands of the miners and hodlers and it denotes the percentage of people who store bitcoin is larger than the person who traded it. We are not alone.
133  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why we may be stuck in the current range for long on: March 13, 2018, 12:31:55 PM
I would have to disagree that the resistance at 12k is "an impenetrable selling wall". There is a consolidation taking place which has found that resistance at 12k and also support around 8.3k. When that happens many traders will play the range and buy the bottom and sell the top repeatedly until it breaks out. That means if it does try and breakout upwards there will be many shorts trapped that will need to buy to cover, that will be the fuel for the next spurt upwards. Equally the opposite is true if it breaks down. Anyone who thinks they can predict which of those two things will happen is fooling themselves. Trading isn't about predicting which way it will breakout but rather recognising it when it happens and then reacting quickly to that.

Agree, trading is not a matter of predicting where the graph is going, theory a, theory b, blah blah blah. If there are people who are always on target in the prediction, of course he will be very rich. There are even fools who consider themselves smart by making a trading bot. Well, I don't think a bot will say the price will drop to more than 50% of the last ATH.
134  Other / Meta / Re: MERIT SYSTEM PROBLEM on: March 13, 2018, 12:10:21 PM

(there must be a lenght requirements to be merited automatically, I think all can notice a long post if its a spam post/trash then if everyone report a trash post it can be automatically deleted).

you cannot judge a topic based on how many paragraphs contain the topic or how long it is written. If the number of words becomes a benchmark of merit giving, it will not change anything. Giving merit should be based on the quality of the topics that forum members write or a post they create, be it a long, or short, solid and clear topic. While the topic provides new and useful information, other members will certainly not hesitate to give you merit, not to mention the moderators in each topic.
135  Economy / Economics / Re: Working smart vs working hard on: March 13, 2018, 11:51:05 AM
Therefore smart is not enough to be a successful and wealthy person. There are factors of continence, perseverance, and consistency. I agree if you say working hard as an office employee will only enrich the person above. But if you have your own business, you will need both, because the challenge you will face will be greater. So working smart and working hard is still a better combination.
136  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system is not working, failed! on: March 12, 2018, 01:07:19 PM
As for those who will read this, please observe their difference in constructing a post; legend (1)Hero Member, (2)Newbie:

(1)
I really welcome merit system. Obviously yes, though we do make quality posts they are unnoticed.

The main reason for less merits is when one replies to a thread,  the previous replies are skipped to be read. Here where a quality post do not receive a merit.  80% of quality posts are omitted  in this scenario.

And another reason, lack of merits. When one wishes to give a merit, merit is not available. Since it's very low to guys with ranks below Sr.Member, merit bucket is empty.  How then an merit would be given.

These two things can be looked at.

(2)
could be a post that you think is not necessarily the same perceived quality by others. the merit system, in my opinion, is already good but only its application is less good, maybe for future later can be fixed again.

To be honest, I would accept the fact that the (2) Newbie can't create a constructive post because he is Newbie (assuming this is not an alt account), but when I read the post of a (1) Hero Member looking like that, I was SHOKETH, I mean I expect more from him. Not trying to be harsh because maybe its not his native language or anything but if it is indeed his mother tongue, then you have to improve your communication skills, High Ranks supposed to be role models (not trying to be discriminant).

Glad that the Merit System made the Ranks really mean something and not just some title hanging below your name.

It is ironic that there are many such members in the forum, they are the seniors who succeeded in going to level up not because of their quality but only because of activities that have qualified for the level. Well, that was before the existence of this merit system of course, now this is another story. So, what about spammers who have already reached the highest level? I do not consider myself good, I admit I am still learning and still need a lot of improvement. well, I just hope the future there is a rule that allows members of the forum to downgrade their ranks if not reaching the target of merit.
137  Economy / Economics / Re: Weak Hands lose money, strong hands makes profits in this game! on: March 12, 2018, 12:44:51 PM
I know this gets repeated over and over, but that's probably because new waves of newbies have to learn the same lesson. Still, Bitcoin as an investment is extremely volatile, and they likely have never experienced such swings before. It's quite hard to blame them, especially the ones who have never really invested in any market.

You're also not the only one who thought about buying the dip, because pretty much everything recovered from their funks, and Bitcoin is back at $11,000. I don't take this as an indication that the slide is over, though, and I still think there will be tough times ahead both in value and transaction fees. I plan to keep HODLing on though.

Those newbies really have to learn it the expensive way. LOL. We have been preaching over and over again not to dump during dips, actually its the perfect opportunity to make profits long term. However, when panic sets it, their decision is clouded and the only thing they would do is push that sell button. Just wait and you will see a lot of them shouting that they have made the wrong decision of dumping it during the crash. Bitcoin is back above $11,000 now and looks like the rally is picking up. Better keep on Hodling and see your investments grow overtime.

Things that happen today will cut off their view of bitcoin that considers this investment can make them rich suddenly. The reality they have to face is to look at the price crash from $20k to $ 5k and that's not a good thing to look at for a beginner/newbie, but a big disaster they have to deal with. But if they take a lesson from what is happening right now, surely they will become a reliable and experienced person towards cryptocurrency which in turn produces the desired profit.
138  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people buy high and sell low on: March 12, 2018, 12:29:33 PM
Most people who do the same things like you do not have realistic analysis and strategies. They only use the feeling whether the coins to buy will go up or not. It's as if you're throwing a coin with two different sides that you do not know which side will appear above.

To avoid large losses, I recommend setting a minimum and maximum loss limit. For example, if the coin you bought was down 10%, then you should immediately cut loss immediately before the loss becomes greater.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin die, no more cryptos can alive. on: March 09, 2018, 11:52:26 PM
I'm sure you're drawing this conclusion based on bitcoin price analysis. So if the bitcoin price has decreased significantly, then almost all altcoin experiencing the same thing. so if viewed from the price difference, altcoins that have prices below bitcoin will be zero when bitcoin has reached a certain low. But that can not be guaranteed because the price movement of cryptocurrency depends on the supply and demand factor, and if bitcoin falls, the investors immediately transfer their assets to another cryptocurrency such as BCH, ETH, XRP etc., so that it can push back the price.
140  Other / Meta / Re: Does merit really helping the forum. on: March 09, 2018, 12:23:30 PM
A problem is, I think people are in general not very generous with giving merits to even good posts.....

Well here are some links which you might find very amusing then - which will make your claim totally baseless and BS. Do check these out :

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats

Most generous recent merit senders

Like TMAN said, there are a "lot" of posts getting merited every now and then.

Instead of complaining that you are not getting merit - you can do the following things :
1. Stop acting like a bitch and start having your own personality. Learn to make quality discussions and not simply agree with everything which the person above you says.
2. Start to read the posts made by the top posters and learn how they contribute - maybe you will learn something yourself and some English as well in due course.
3. The best way to get rid of this problem is to leave this forum. Period.

Excellent advice to get a merit. Based on my monitoring, Most forum members get a merit on the quality topics they started, and only a small percentage of merit is given if we only comment on the topic, even though the comments that we write is a quality post. Therefore, the Newbe - Jr. Member members try to create a new topic in hopes of getting a merit. Though most of the topics created are junk topics.
