121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PoW/PoS180%]SONO [YoBit][Masternodes] OWN EXCHANGE IN THE MAKING on: January 26, 2018, 05:51:39 PM
I bought some Altcoms month or two ago and they are still on Yobit, it is nice to see that price has risen from then. Reading few pages back here I see that original Altcom project is replaced with Sono. What should I do now, wait till yobit replace is there with Sono or something else ? Is there any telegram channel for Sono ?

There is no Telegram for SONO at this point, but one will be made soon.
For now, wait till Yobit updates to the SONO wallet.

So if you keep your coins untouched at Yobit there shouldn't be anything to worry about? The only problem is that it's the only active exchange for Altcom/Sono, so basically we can't do anything with Sono at the moment.  Sad

New Merit system has been added to Bitcointalk.
To get to know the system read here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0
Hmm, I think it's going to be much harder to get your rank upgraded with this new merit system. You're not only have to be active yourself, but you also need others to get enough merit to upgrade.

is there any way to recover a wallet if I lost the seed words?
I made a new wallet on the same computer and I lost the old one.. but I didnt erase any file

Try look for any wallet.dat in programdata. It might still reside there.

If you found more than one wallet.dat, you might still be able to recover it.
You should have three files in your "C:\ProgramData\SumokoinGUIWallet\wallets" folder:
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.bin
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.bin.address.txt
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.bin.keys

With these files you can restore your wallet, just select the .bin file.

Is there any news about re-enabling the HCN pools? I keep my pool at http://hcn.pandapool.nl up all the time, but it's doing nothing. Besides that I noticed that there is still some mining going on by a few individuals. With the low network difficulty they have mined about 9000 blocks (* 455 HCN) since the start of the donation campaign and 'shutdown' of all the pools. What can be done about this?
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FNC] FinCoin (fincoin.co) on: January 22, 2018, 01:46:37 PM
The domain has been deleted.

http://fincoin.co/

Is there any other way to get the whitepaper? Im interested in more detailed informations about this...
What are you talking about? Everything about this coin looks dead. The website is gone, the blockexplorer is gone, the domain is pending delete status. So what are you interested about?

ALTCOM is now SONO? Will you swap the tokens or do I only have to download the SONO wallet and launch it with my already created wallet.dat file?
That worked for me, so you should be good. I started the Sono executable once and replaced the wallet.dat with the one from altcom. Just remember to always make a backup first!

BTCDirect: 1BTC -> 9265 Euro
Bitonic: 1 BTC -> 9239 Euro
Anycoindirect: 1 BTC -> 9217 Euro
Dat scheelt tussen BTCDirect en Anycoindirect bijna 50 Euro! En dan te bedenken dat inderdaad op hetzelfde moment op Gdax 1 BTC voor 9580 Euro verhandeld werd.

Hey, remove "blank space" in wallet please

I've done this several times but still the blank space remains  Huh
You are right. Even if I copy the address to an external program as plain text and do a copy/paste of that it is getting corrupt between the f and D!

Sumoo1umW6W1V82HJUhGjpFUCJKYWPRHYTP2fY7YAcPdWtVPPL41kRK1EcYN6EZrprgcFT4rGuV15PfDqr5Brd5riiHg3irfAmS

Update: this one with some font styling is OK to copy/paste.

Ouch, I hope people didn't start mining after they copy/pasted the address mentioned, because that is going to fail for sure! I think it should be:

is the donation pool down???
Yes, just look at the previous posts. To get the amount of SUMO blocks needed the mining is moved to another pool with a big hashrate.

Attention

I've been thinking these days, and the campaign pool has very little hashrate to find a block, it's been 6 days without finding a new block.
  I did the calculation, if everyone who mines in the pool of the campaign, mining in another SumoKoin pool with high hashrate power, we could get 7 to 12 coins per day, in one month we would already have 60% of the value to complete the campaign, this with 15 Khash, if we had 25 Khash the campaign would be completed in 1 month.

what everyone thinks of we have moved the campaign pool mining to a sumokoin pool with high hashrate, everyone would use the same wallet address so that payments would be sent to the official campaign wallet.

What does everyone think about this?
And how do you want to reward people this way? I mean, with the donation pool you could distinguish everyone with their SUMO address. If everyone uses the same SUMO address you can't see who delivered the amount of hashes and so you can't give them the proper reward for it.

For those who want to get a reward in HCN for the mining campaign, use the worker_id in mining

Example:

"url" : "pool.sumokoin.hashvault.pro:5555",
"user" : "Sumoo1umW6W1V82HJUhGjpFUCJKYWPRHYTP2fY7YAcPdWtVPPL41kRK1EcYN6EZrprgcFT4rGuV15Pf Dqr5Brd5riiHg3irfAmS",
"pass" : "worker_id", <<<< enter your identification
"keepalive" : "true",
"nicehash" : "false"
That should work!  Smiley

Will the rebranding happen at the same time as you will deploy the masternodes?
Is there already a preview logo for the new brand available?

We will be releasing the new wallet update with the rebranding.

We will delay the masternode rewards until the 27th to let all users have enough time to gather the last coins they need and for them to have a fair amount of time to setup their nodes.

We do not have a preview, everything will be released at once saturday night.
A new wallet, sounds exciting! Will there be other new features or is it just the rebranding?

Two nooby questions, what is happening with the price of Bitcoins and how does it affect us?
Thanks. Smiley
When the price of bitcoin start falling intensively people get panicked and start selling bitcoins as they are afraid that they could lose money. In this way they start also exchange  other crypto to bitcoins because this is the only way to get FIAT money, you cant sell sumo for dollars, first you have to exchange it to bitcoins. In this way all cryptos are getting down in price. This is how it works and this is what we see now!

completely agree.. time to buy ladies and gentlemen..
Yeah, I wish I had some money left to buy right now in this bear market. It looks like a good opportunity to get your portfolio filled with cheap coins.

Actually, www.hashvault.pro pool is responsible for 50% of the total Network hashrate:

Network hashrate: 25.85 MH/S
Pool hashrate: 10.82 MH/S

HI i have sent 300 ETN towards the cause and as soon as i can get a working MSR addy i will send 300 of them as well. please do not change coin or block chain or i will lose all my coin's regards sean

again, thank you very much  Smiley

the Masari wallet address is this same one that I sent you.

If the new blockchain is created, all will receive the same amount of money mined before January 1, 2018 (1: 1), I will guarantee this through a pre-mining (without pre-mining can not do this)
I would suggest to move the date to Januari 8, 2018, because that's the date we all kind of 'agreed' to shut down the mining pools (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2613592.msg27614954#msg27614954). You can't 'punish' people and take of their HCN they mined in the period Januari 1, 2018 - Januari 8, 2018, that wouldn't be fair.

I agree
To be more specific, let's take this nice-numbered block as 'final' block, mined on Januari 8, 2018:
Height:  101010
Timestamp: 8-1-2018 21:43:43

How many more we need to complete what is necessary?
We need at least 20 more blocks to pay for the two exchanges, with a hashrate of 50 Khash we can easily.

At the moment, in the last open HCN pool (waiting for the disabled owner), has 64 Khash, if that hashrate goes to the pool of the campaign in 15 days would get us the necessary amount.
Make that 95Khash... More miners are joining the Graymines pool as it's the only pool left for mining HCN... It's really frustrating for me (and I think the other pool owners also) to see this happening as it is already hard to get miners to your pool and keep them. If all the miners switched to this Graymines pool, why would they return to the original pools they where mining at after the campaign is over?

I consider myself a patient person, but really in the end you have to become a dictator, I will talk with dev, update the core and invalidate all the blocks from 100,000, then we will all be happy...
Is that even possible to just 'delete' a part of the blockchain?
